Domino's Detention: The Release

OOC Date: April 25, 2020

Participants: Domino Graystorm, Jax Greystorm, Ambrosia Greystorm

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

So this is it. This was the verdict rendered. Their person of interest has been examined and General Greystorm has few options re: what to do beyond that, that won't be in flagrant violation of some peaceful NR accord.

"You're going home," she informs Domino, who they've cuffed (again) and buckled into a jump seat across from old Aunty A. "You've been cooperative enough, I've kept you in one piece. I'd say I hope you've used your time with us to reconsider your lifestyle, but I know better."

[Domino]

Domino eyes Amber suspiciously "If I'm being let go how come I'm still restrained?" She clearly is not down with being strapped in but in spite of her clear discomfort she does NOT give Grannystorm an excuse to stun her.

[Jax Greystorm]

The pilot in the cockpit, was well Jax and he was happy not to be in the back for this conversation at the moment. He checks the sensors and pulls back the lever to go into hyper space. He sits back and relaxing for a moment. There had been no screaming.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Because you aren't home, yet." Ambrosia answers simply, leaning back comfortably in seat to uncross her legs and rest a hand over the butt of her pistol. "It won't be long now. So while I still have you...I'd like to propose a solution to your boredom."

[Domino]

Domino rolls her eyes, "I don't have a 'home', Grannystorm. The Galaxy is my home. Except naboo. That place is just...awful. And boring." Her gaze traces Amber's motion and very warily, "Uh...no thank you?"

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Something else we have in common, then." Amber snorts lightly and turns her head to look up towards the pit. "I was going to offer you a /paid/ solution to your boredom...case by case basis, assuming all checks out. But if you aren't interested that's fine. I'm sure Malik will keep you plenty entertained once he hears you've been in our custody."

[Domino]

Domino pauses and tilts her head, "Well. I suppose it won't kill me to listen. Well. Unless Malik finds out I'm getting transfers from a Resistance friendly bank account, then it might. Oh-he already knows I'm sure. Not that KNOWING and caring are the same thing." Domino doesn't seem terribly concerned if her man's broken up about it or not, though.

[Jax Greystorm]

Jax emerges from the cockpit after a bit upon not hearing any screams after a while. He leans in the door way listening. His arms crossed. The Corellian. He didn't know what his Mother has in the works but he's kinda concerned.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"You slice and acquire data for them from time to time, yes? I'd like to know what it is they're wanting to know. I understand that transmitting copies can be risky, but...won't kill me to ask." As Domino put it so wisely. Ambroisa inclines her head to Jax when he emerges and dons a small smile. "Barring that, I'd also accept information on your fellow knights. Where they go, who else they have roped into their outer circle, like yourself. Stalking a Knight undetected might be difficult for you, but I wager you have a very good grasp on how to surveil the civilian sector."

[Domino]

Domino notes Jax and her eyebrows lift, "Oh, hi Jax. Man. You all really think I'm dangerous if I get my own Jedi escort." She chortles softly before asking, "Don't suppose you wanna give me any hints about what Ax's deal is and how worried I should be about him deciding he REALLY wants someone's attention?" Her gaze shifts to Amber dubiously, "I'm curious why you think I'd do that, Grannystorm."

[Jax Greystorm]

"No, I'm not your jedi escort. I'm just the pilot and well I'm here cause well I can keep my mouth shut. That and you were good to Kael. You two had an understanding." Jax shrugs.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Alleviation of your boredom," Amber shrugs a shoulder. "You said it yourself, Malik hasn't entrusted you with anything worthwhile and you've felt the need to make amusement for yourself. So? Every fact that we can send our agents to verify about the whos or whats if there are doubts, I'll pay you." She says with a spread of her hands like it's a no big deal of a lifetime.

[Domino]

Domino allows a smile "Aww. He was the best sugar daddy ever. How is that sexy fiend? Well, I hope. Staying out of all this..." She gestures around them vaguely, "..nonsense?" She hrrms and studies JAx "Annnnd no comment on Ax. Hrrm." She studies Jax attentively, tongue probing the inside of her cheek idly while she thinks "likely wise." she decides.

Dom's gaze sliiiiides to Amber speculatively, "What if I don't want credits? What if I want something else?"

[Jax Greystorm]

"Seems to have a new girl. I like her." Jax says as he leans there, "He's a bit annoyed about your adventure on Chandrila. It's hard to market your Private Security firm to Senators after your Ex just tried to offer the same service as a scam." Jax shrugs, "Ax's arrogance is going to undo him and probably anyone near him one of these days. I'm quite sure the Mandos will catch up with him. Kora clan does have a reputation. I should warn Kadi though she believes in her man." He shrugs, "You screamed at me that Oran is gone. I don't quite get that. There are things about the Dark Side, I don't understand nor wish to understand. If it's true, you could walk away from this all. The whole mess."

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

A little twitch makes Greystorm Sr's brow jump side to side, rather than up. Spasm, more than like. "Depends on the something." She eyes her chronometer on sleeve. "By my count we have a few minutes before we hit system. So. Elaborate." A glance goes to Jax. "Ax pulls a stunt interfering in our business again, he'll be hearing from me." He still might.

[Domino]

Domino smiles "Good. I always worried about him flying around all by himself." She siiighs and eyerolls, "Oh my stars! I was just bored! No one CARES about the New Republic! You all made this a 'thing' not me." She siiiighs and makes a face "I was probably drunk and being melodramatic. AAnyway ask the goody two shoes Twit who abandoned everyone who followed him-Ben something. Formerly Kylo Ren. Reckon HE could answer your questions."

Dom Studies Amber, "Well my main request would not to be banished but I expect that won't be happening so I'll think about." she ahhhs and notes to Amber, "Just remember that Ax being Ax is what causes things like spaceports to get blown up. Fortunately Malik Ren....likely doesn't give a damn about ex jedi but always better safe than sorry."

[Jax Greystorm]

Jax was about to answer Amber's question about Ax' actions leading to pure Axness. Then Domino drops a bomb and well that it's probably best that he wasn't at the controls as he would have probably flown them into a Black hole. His jaw drops, "I thought he was dead."

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

Saywhat?

Years of operating under excessive stress has prepared General Greystorm for this moment, it would seem. Not necessarily /this/ moment, but moments like this. Bomb drops. It's for that reason and that reason only that she doesn't either keel over from the shock or punch through the ceiling into orbit. The visual shift in her countenance is there, though. Spine ramrod straight. Jaw hardened. Forward stare like steel.

The boy lives??.

"The permanence of that degree of welcome you'll receive should you return to Chandrila is entirely up to the New Republic to decide. All I might do is make my recommendations." Said ever so stiffly.

[Domino]

Domino stares at Jax, then Amber, Then Jax, "Seriously? Man. I hope not. There's a very long line of people who have scores to settle with that spineless nerfhumper. Last I heard? VERY much alive but I haven't heard anything about him in months." she eyes Amber, then Jax, Then Amber, "Seriously? Y'all didn't know. Wow. So...maybe he died after he walked away?" she sighs, "Oran-when he was Oran still-came back fuming-raging-saying Kylo'd just told oran that he-kylo-had been wrong. That it was time to give up the fight. That didn't go over so well but as far as I know he's still alive."

[Jax Greystorm]

Jax's eyes go wide, "She's definitely not lying, this is not a trick as far as she knows." He rubs the back of his neck. "Oran said the same to me about that time. It was before Exegol. Oran sounded like he was going through a break up. I don't know why but I assumed Leia's son died on Exegol. I don't know why. I felt alot of things through the force but I never felt him there either way. I was busy not dying, blowing up a Star Destroyer, and had Jera in my head." He looks at Dom. "Dom, I know we've never been that close. I know you've never liked this Force stuff. I know you love Oran but consider him dead. You're not a big fan of Malik Ren. I also know you're not a big joiner or Alturistic person. You're not a cause person. You have faith, loyalty, or liking of certin people. What ever you call it. WHy not take this chance to move onto something else? A better class of Criminals that are more intrested in profit than what ever Malik Ren is intrested in?"

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

Ambrosia says nothing. Silently fuming? Counting down time to arrival? Whatever she's doing she IS listening. Waiting.

[Domino]

Domino looks to Jax and lifts her chin, "He's not dead no more than the man before Kylo Ren died. Oran made his choice and I'll bide by it but I'm not abandoning my stake. I may not be a space wizard but if the Force thinks I'm not going to get my way in the end? IT. Can. SUCK. IT." she makes a crude gesture. Oh. Right. She slipped her restraints while they were distracted by their shock, sensing the opportunity to do this without getting shot. "As far as I can tell the force just makes people lazy, unimaginative, stupid, or just plain nuts. If he was just terminally ill you wouldn't tell me to abandon him, would you? No. I'm an awful person but I'm awful on MY terms and I'm not letting some juju tell me what my priorities should be." her arms cross.

[Jax Greystorm]

Jax grins, "Well all fair points." He looks to Amber, "You might as well stop offering deals. What you have here is a true believer and worse than any acoylte that Malik's got. She's in love. There's no way she'd betray Oran. She'll dance around him not to raise his ire. He'll treat her like Sithspawn. But she won't betray him for no matter how many credits you offer or anything else. She's in love." He pushes off where he stands, "I'm going back to the cockpit. We should be coming out of hyperspace now."

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

And at that opportune moment, the Sheathipede shuttle kicks out of hyper, sending a little shudder throughout the ship.

Ambrosia finally rises from her seat, shrugging off the harness, and tugs a bag out from underneath it. Plops it onto the seat behind her and remains standing. Eyeing Domino with a resurfacing frown.

"My offer stands. Should you ever accept."

[Domino]

Domino rolls her eyes, "I know you need him to be a monster-not saying he's a good man but if her treated me badly I wouldn't stick around. If I leave-it'll be causeI got bored..or he actually did start treating me poorly. Also it occur to you it's the principle of the matter?" arms still crossed. She nods to Amber, "I'll consider. You all may be HIS enemy but we may have some common interests so I'll keep an open mind. Just know that if I catch anyone on the Res ot Jedi's payroll or command structure sniffling around vanguard I'm going to start making very messy emphatic points-so please make sure there's a memo or something making it clear they're off limits. Cause I'd really prefer to be nice when I can."

THEY'VE ARRIVED:

Dust Fields - Badlands, Jakku

The dust fields of Jakku are a broad expanse of nothing but sand and dry lifeless dirt. The daytime temperature here can reach nearly unbearable levels for most forms of life, though the species of animals native to the planet seem to do just fine. However, travelers from off-world may find the entire experience of being on Jakku to be one of displeasure due to the insane day-time heat. The dust fields themselves are a drab sea of gently waving hills, sand and sun-bleached rock being the primary thing for one to see here. Occasionally there is a rocky canyon or the carcass of some long deceased animal, but otherwise the Dust Fields are the sort of place one does not want to be stranded in.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Active First Order pursuits are never off limits, but those who have moved on to a civilian lifestyle...we've no reason to hunt them down." It's as good a guarantee as Amber can offer.

The shuttle bores its way through the atmosphere, jiggling its occupants lightly until it weightlessly drops onto the landing pad, awash in sand. KATHUNK.

The hatch opens, ramp lowers unceremoniously and Ambrosia tosses the bag down it. For such a decent sized bag, it lands quite lightly. And deflates. ARE there items in thee? Dom will have to open it to see.

"This is your stop," she says, cutting a sharp silhouette against the blinding glare of sun reflecting off the sand below, one hand holding loosely to the straps overhead. The trace of a sly smile is half hidden in shadow. "I've returned some of your belongings. No doubt will help you find your way off this rock. To wherever home is."

[Domino]

Domino nods once to Amber "That's the agreement. If they stand against you-that's their choice. They're not. The loyal ones died in Exogol the rest were released and have moved on. Just...remember the idiots you work with and lack of sensible reason doesn't mean that they won't." She siiiighs and looks out, "Aw, c'mon." she looks to Amber "I don't get my stuff back do I?" the look and tone making it clear she believes the answer is a firm: no.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Some." She'd be lying if she said she didn't enjoy this. The aging rebel doesn't move a muscle, just maintains her looming presence at the out hatch. "Look and see." One brow cocks crookedly, challenging her sense of adventure.

[Domino]

Domino sashays close, invading Amber's personal space and lowering her lashes, "I know you'll be sad to see me go. I know you feel the..tension...between us." she purrs as she pats Amber down though some questing fingers do delve to try to steal something personal to Grannystorm, maybe a pin, or something like a powerpak, but Amber certainly feels Dom trying to take whatever the item is.

[Ambrosia Greystorm]

"Not happening." Ambrosia grunts and gives Domino a little shove away. A helped first step down the ramp. "You're all you need." Well. That and the buttflaps and the flask, if she finds them in that bag down there. Gettin all dusty.

NOT included in the bag are her hairpins, jewelry, or orthadontic mouthpiece. And the contents of the flask? Water. Because this is a desert, and hydration is important.

Hahahaahahha.

Maybe Greyatorm Sr has had the last laugh. For now.

[Domino]

Domino stumbles backwards off the ramp and calls as she scoops up her bag, "I LOOOOVE YOU GRANNYSTORM!!" she blows a kiss at the crawler.
