Drik Plot: Fearful Scanning

OOC Date: Sept 19, 2016
Location: Little ship above Drik
Participants: Oriana, Kev, Sajin, Russ Ordo, Tylin Creel

The crew is tucked into a little ship for now, one that has decent speeds and a bit of fire power to it. At most the ship seems simple enough, nothing out of the ordinary - which may have been the point. And so it traveled, at it's fasted speed to a little planet, out in the space of nowhere. A planet named Drik.

It's known that this planet has been overrun by the FO, that it was destroyed, left in ruins. People were killed, children taken from families. A horrible fate for such a lovely planet. Because as this little ship comes into range that is what everyone would see. A world lush, with green and blue and clouds. A bright sun behind it, and to the other side the two moons. One half is in darkness, night-time having befallen it. And the other is bright and crisp. From above it looks peaceful, like a paradise.

Doing her best to not of shown it, Oriana had spent a bit of her time off, in her room, collecting herself. This isn't an easy task, so close to home yet so far too. And when it was announced that they had arrived she'd of gone to the bridge, only to stop in a wave of emotion upon seeing her 'lost' planet. Slowly, this princess, nay future queen, walks forward, fighting the mixture of elation and fear, of anger and tears.

Sajin Kovo Kah, the Hapen under Oriana's employ is wearing his armor per usual, his sword and ax strapped across his back, knife and blaster pistol at his side. He spent most of the trip quiet, as Oriana wished for some privacy, in the corner sitting down on the deck his back against the hull. As Oriana emerged though, he would stand, a dehydrated bread stick half eaten still in his mouth. Hazel eyes would watch her come out and move towards the bridge but he would stay out of the way. There wasn't much he could do other than fend off a boarding or something of that ilk. He didn't know much about scanners and sweeping things unless it was visually.

As she has been for most of the flight, Tylin sits in the crew area, the small sofa type thing, feet tucked up to the side as she leans against the wall. Her data pad has constantly been in her hands, doing who knows what with it. While her attention seems firmly focused on the tiny screen her eyes do search out those that are making the trip. Watching each one carefully only to advert her eyes if they happened to look in her direction.

Similar to how it must have been for his sister, the journey here has been a strange one for Kev. A part of him thought he'd never even see this little planet again. He looks out towards the planet, taking a few deep breaths as he tries to keep his face as impassive as possible, although it's not with too much success. When Oriana arrives at the bridge, he offers her a momentary smile. "Never thought this moment would come..." he admits quietly.

Russ today is dressed in his somewhat more impressive armor, rather than his combat armor he is wearing the armor of Mandalore the Reviver which includes the mask of Mandalore. The armour is coloured in rather brilliant looking gold and edged with dark black. He looks on rather impassivly as Oriana has her moment while seeing her planet again. Helping her take Drik has been in the works for a long time, but now he has vested interests elsewhere as well. A planet he has reclaimed for the Mandalorians drawing much of his time and attentions. He waits for Oriana or Kev to speak standing stock still almost statue like as he waits, just a statue made of armor and weaponry.

Oriana, stuck staring at her home is pulled into reality when Kev speaks. She turns and frowns a little. "Me neither. It's strange isn't it? It looks so.. normal, at peace. Like nothing can ever or has never touched it," But those here know it's a lie, hell had rained down. Turning again to Drik, each getting a glance she crosses her arms. "Ty, sweetie, can you start trying to hack into the systems down there and see what you get. Kev, monitor space travel, we don't need any ships sneaking up on us."

Turning away eyes move to Sajin and Russ, both men armed and ready. "Lets hope we don't get boarded." Even if she sounds a little worried about it, she doesn't show it much. "And Russ, take a good look, at what will one day be your future home as well." Her head nods to the planet.

Sajin nods slowly to Oriana. His heart breaks for her but he's put on his silent act for the time being. She knew he was here for her no matter what and that didn't need to be conveyed through more than a look. Hazel eyes glance to Russ a moment before looking back to Oriana. He leans back up against the hull and silently waits for the more tech savy individuals went about doing the scanning

She may have seemed like she wasn't paying much attention to the goings on around her but as soon as Oriana speaks to her Tylin is already working on it "Got it, Oriana. Anything in particular you are looking for?" she asks hardly taking her eyes off the little screen that is also plugged into the ship's dataport for some added boost as well as using the sensor data from the ship it's self.

Kev nods as he hears Oriana's words, moving over to the console to monitor travel. Hopefully there won't be much out here, but it's still important to keep an eye out, after all. Glancing once in a while from the console he's at, to the planet out there, then back again. Not seeing anything out of the ordinary so far, it would seem.

"If we do get boarded I think they will be rather unpleasantly suprised by what they find on board." Russ shakes his head slightly as he draws his dual heavy blasters with ease examining them before reholstering them with a smooth movement. He looks out the viewport at Oriana's insistance "I guess we will see, that place certainly looks better than the last place i fought to take back."

Oriana chuckles a little. "I've seen you in a fight, any who try to board will meet a fight, Russ. And least you've got something pretty to fight for this time." She says, eyeing her pretty little planet as it sits there looking all innocent. Facing Sajin her head tilts. "Sorry, not much action thus far." Then she turns again and goes to stand by where Ty and Kev are, the two who are working on the computers. "Any and all current FO activity, where their stronghold is, and if you can, numbers. And Kev," Her brother, the princes, then gets attention. "Ships? Find any?"

Sajin glances to Russ as he speaks though dosn't comment. He probably agrees with the Mandalorian, though as Oriana adresses him he shifts a bit in his stance giving a small nod. "Better that there isn't..." He speaks, he finally spoke and for those that never heard his voice it's low and almost quiet like a whisper. Accented with Hapes and the Inner Rim, almost imperial but a bit more uncivilized.

A glance at Kev, you know, like watching someone try to do something that you know you can do much better. She waits, a foot taps till he finishes and she goes back to work. Her brows knit up as she compares data then looks up first to Kev and then to Oriana "I'm not seeing /any/ First Order communications nor any of their normal operating sequences. But there is something going on down there." Tylin goes back to work, her mouth twisted up as she does. Now and then she reaches over and switches the different sensors on or off as the case may be. Slowly she seems to have the color drain from her face, her movements more frantic, she is even holding her breath now. Then she looks up as if she has seen a ghost. Eyes wide, face devoid of color. She stares at Kev, her voice tight as she speaks and an octave or so higher than normal "We have to get out of here, now. Go, turn around!" To Oriana she shakes her head as if she has seen death "We have to, now Oriana, we have to go!" Fear is thick about her, her hands shake so badly she can hardly hold the datapad with the one hand and her knuckles turn white as she squeezes the arm rest.

Russ stands up a little straighter his hands reaching for a weapon at Tylins reaction. "What the hell is it that could be worse than the first order?" He shakes his head "Just relax. If shit goes sideways I can have a warship and three hundred pissed off Mandalorians here before too long." Russ looks towards the sensors trying to pickup on what is freaking the woman out so badly.

"I haven't found any yet," Kev replies, frowning momentarily, before he looks to Tylin as he sees her reaction. "What is it?" he asks, quietly, before he looks around at the others as well. There's another pause, before he nods as he hears Russ speak. "See, there's backup," he offers.

About to agree with Sajin, her attention is pulled away to Ty. Reaching forward, if allowed, her own grasp would rest upon the womans shoulders, to help comfort as best she can. “What is it sweetie?” Oriana is also confused, what could be worse than the FO. And speaking of them, she asks: “What do you mean, no FO activity? But they were here.” Something isn’t adding up, that’s for sure. “If we are seen arriving and then flying off they may be more suspicious of us too. Can you hack back in, find out what is going on? Kev,” She looks at her brother. “Keep checking the computers for ships.”

"Maybe they didn't want to stick around and run the place." Sajin recomends as they speak of no First Order communications. Which to him was a good thing, at least that's what he thought. Maybe re-establishing Drik wasn't going to take the death toll he had imagined. Though, there was something else at work here, "Maybe they contracted..." And then that's when Tylin becomes upset with what ever it is she found on the screen. Like Russ, his hand goes for his blaster pistol and he moves forwards towads the bridge to get a look out the view port to see what he can see, keeping and ear open to the conversation.

Tylin hears both Russ and Kev but she's not listening. She just repeats again and again "No, we have to get out of here. You don't understand," she is growning frantic now, even eyeing the controls of the ship. Sweat beads up on her forehead and upper lip, hands now shaking. "No, it's, it's...they are speaking of orders, I am not sure which but," her breath sucks in "It's Nym's gang," she finally gets out. She looks to Oriana and with pleading eyes "We have to go, please Oriana, please!"

Two ships? What kind of ships? Are they trying to shoot us down or board us?" Russ looks back down the ship, wondering where he needs to move to. "Lets hope they are trying to board us, should be easier to deal with that a little easier than we can deal with a space battle in this."

"Nym? Nym the pirate?" Oriana is surprised, this is a twist she didn't expect. "It's their channels you're picking up?" To help Ty calm down she rubs her arms a little. "Sweetie it's okay, you're fine, nothing is going to happen. I need you to hack in and get as much information as you can for us." Being as reassuring as possible and looking over her head to Sajin, what he says makes sense and a nod is given. "We need to prove it." Then looking to Kev at the mention of the ships there is a deepening frown. "Okay," --

Then a voice booms over the channel. "Unidentified ship, identify yourself." It's a harsh, coarse womans voice, very masculine. Without skipping a beat, and being demanding it rings out again for them all to hear. "I said identify yourself!"

Slapping a button on the console Oriana replies, quickly. "Just passing through, wonder if this is a good planet to pick up supplies, we're -" But she is cut off.

"This planet is in Nym terrority now. No vessels are allowed here." Out of the view port, one ship is seen passing overhead, the other ship approaches, hovering dangerously close.

Nym... Sajin knew who Nym was. Sajin had been a 'pirate' himself in his younger years right after escaping his home world and the hard to navigate Mysts of the Hapen Cluster. Pirates often used it as a hideout, in fact history told that's how the Hapen race came to be after the destruction of the lorell pirates at the hands of the Jedi Order. Nym was known, he was dangerous. But if Sajin feared anything he didn't show it. His face set as the name sinks into his brain. It would makes sense why Nym would want this place. This is where his own crew went to sell goods and buy rare items, outside of the Republic and away from scrutinizing eyes. A perfect base of operations. Then there's mention of the ships, and his Hazel eyes work to peer out the viewport to try and get a bead on them. He looks to Oriana, then to Tylin as the ships buzz by and the comm hale comes through. "Stall them and book it... or fight it out. Those are the options." He says simply. He didn't like either of them.

Tylin can only nod to Oriana, fear has frozen her voice. She shakes her head not believing that anything's going to be alright. When the voice comes over the comms she knows it and she looks to the two ships "They. Are. Going. To. Board" she finally gets out before bolting out of her chair, the datapad hovers in mid air before falling with a thud to the deck. But Tylin is gone from her seat, back towards the cargo hold, as far away as she can get. Frantic eyes search for a hiding place before she just finds a corner and curls up in it, knees drawn up tight against her, arms wrappped around them, head buried down.

As he hears the words over the channel, Kev frowns further. And as Tylin takes off, he attempts to catch that falling datapad, but is too late. There's a concerned look in the direction of where she left, before he looks back to the others. "Well... What do we do now?" A brief pause, before he adds, "The good thing is that it's not the First Order. The bad thing, well..." he nods in the direction of the viewport and the ship approaching.

"What the hell would Nym be doing here? I thought that old bastard would be plenty busy elsewhere, he has more than his fair share of interests already." Russ shakes his head and moves back towards the airlock "Don't worry if they come in I will deal with it. And if that is not enough...well then. I would suggest venting the atmosphere from the rest of the ship, leave only the cockpit." Then the girl is gone running through the ship "It is like she is trying to get caught." He nods to Oriana and lets her take the ead with the bladed weapons "Try not to stand directly infront of me alright?"

Upon hearing the voice again, Tylin whimpers as she presses each hand to an ear trying to block it out. The other's what ever they are saying means little to her. All she can think of, she knows these people, well, of what's going to happen to them, to her.

Sajin takes out his blaster pistol then move with Oriana towards the area where they know the boarding party with come from. "I could guess, not sure though." He responds to Russ off handedly. He moves to find comes stuff to put down for cover. He likely wasn't wearing as good of armor as his Mandalorian comrade so perhaps having something in between him and blaster bolts would be helpful. He takes a bite of that breadstick he'd been holding onto, and chews slowly as he waits.

"If we can avoid all of us getting dangerously wounded, I should have enough of it," Kev offers to his sister, before he readies his own blaster pistol as well. Not as well armed as the others, but everything helps, right? "This will be interesting..." he offers, a bit quietly.

"I'll do my best to stay out of the way." Oriana says to Russ, and looks to Sajin. "Finally get to see how you fight." And so she turns into the area - the cargo hold, where they are boarding, and steps in as they board, guns up and ready to fire. She doesn't call out to Ty to hide, because that would let them intruders know another is on board. "Kev watch yourself! One of us needs to fight for the throne if the other does!" It's very matter of fact as she rushes the first guy, bringing her sword up, managing to hit once.

Sajin takes a moment as he listens to the sounds of the boarding pirates and then pops out from his cover, his pistol raised up. One, two, red scarlet bolts fly towards the general area of the boarding party before he moves back behind another crate and waits for another chance to fire, still chewing on that bread stick.

Russ is no stranger to boarding actions, he has been on both sides more than once hell more than twice. Both of his heavily customised hand canons raise and they both fire off a flurry of bolts. Bodies drop as his fire lances into them cutting through armor, bone and flesh alike. He is a big blazing target in his golden armour with both of his weapons rapidly firing bolts. But that is how he likes it, draws the fire away from his less armoured comrades. Bet the pirates did not expect to run into Mandalore in a place like this.

"Hey, that would be a bit hard with us being on a ship that's boarded," Kev replies to Oriana, as he fires off a shot at one of the enemies, missing his target. The one firing at him is a bit better, though, and he's sent staggering a few steps back from the shot. There's a bit of a grunt, and Kev looks around again, trying to duck behind some cover now.

Sajin takes a moment in pause from behind his cover before popping out to take a few shots. Though, before he can do that he's hit with a blot to the chest piece. Does it penetrate? Well there are sparks on the armr and the force of the bolt sends the Hapan merc to his back. He slides across the deck platting before he is stopped by a crate. He manages to send out three wild bolts in that direction before regaining himself and crawling over behind a crate. IT was not his day.

Russ grunts as he feels the burn, a blaster bolt punching through the lesser armoured sections around his shoulder. It is not enough to stop him though. His blasters keep firing thick bolts, bolts that melt through their targets with little effort. Bodies keep dropping. But Russ can only take fire for so long, even if he has lived getting hit by an E-web before.

A few more spill out, the pirates seem endless in a sense. Oriana looks over her shoulder, avoiding a blaster bolt and frowns at seeing people hurt. "Aw, shit." Says the woman and turns, running at one guy, her vibrosword coming round to slice him across the stomach and with a spin she decapitates him, his head hitting the ground with a thud.

Damn blasters. He was good enough with them but it wasn't exactly his fortay. It wasn't what he'd been training in for a very long time. Hold in his armor at the vary least and perhaps a good bit of damage if he didn't get out there and help then he'd just die laying here. If this was it, he'd rather be out there with Oriana. Drawing the Vibroblade from his back he rushes forward then into the streaming of Pirates and brings one swing down on the head of one, easily slicing through it. Though as he swings at another he misses by a good deal.

There sure does seem to be alot of the bastards. And it is only so long until people start dying on his side just as they are dying on theirs. He holsters one of his blasters and pulls out a thermal detonater. He breathes deeply and takes a running start, launching himself over the crowd of fighters. His jetpack roars and he hurtles into the enemy ship, blasters coming close to taking him down the whole time reflecting off his brilliant Beskar. Once he is there, there is so much he could have done. Use his diplomacy or intimidation skills to make them back down, tried to take the ship. Instead he activates the detonater and drops it, kicking it with one of his booted feet so it is not a simple matter to pickup again. Finally his jetpack flares again and he flies out of the enemy ship to go skating across the floor of the friendly ship, the only thing keeping him in one piece is his armour. All that is left to do is wait for the boom.

Once more trying to fire at an opponent, Kev grumbles as he misses. Seeing what Russ is doing, he blinks momentarily, before he ducks back down behind cover. Make yourself a small target.

Oriana can see what Russ is about to do. Being a demo expert, well, it's clear what's in his hand too. Turning to see Sajin there a hand comes out to grab his arm, yeah she knows he is hurt. But it's better than being dissolved! "RUn!" She yells, moving as fast as she can to safety, out of harms way and away from the bomb as it goes off.

Sajin looks to Oriana as her hand grabs his arm, then his hazel eyes look towards the flying Mandalorian and yeah... he runs with Oriana as far away from the enemy ship as he possibly can get making sure to stay behind and over Oriana to protect her from any shrapnel.

Kev knows one thing. When told to run, you run. Moving off from his cover, he hurries in the same direction as Oriana and Sajin as fast as he can. Safer that way.

Oriana looks up to Sajin as he blocks any blast. But this also means she is covered in her blood. It's nothing that makes her queasy or anything. "Th - thanks." She mutters, giving a thankful smile. "Sajin you're hurt, we need -" But then she spots Kev, post explosion and he is hurt too. "Okay, this isn't good. Our doctor is hurt." Moving out from under her guard and seeing the hatch close and the ship move away. Uninjured, for once, and going to stand she looks to the others. "I'll get some supplies, I'd likely kill you if I tried to tend to you." Because her knowledge in these things is just like that. On her way to rush out, Ty would have been approached. "Come on sweetie." And so she'd take the girl to a safer place, while also ordering the pilot to fly them out of here as fast as they could.

Some shrapnel probably makes it's way into the back of the Hapan's armor as he shelters Oriana, holding onto her tightly as he does so. Though, he lets her tend to her brother as he looks back to the ship detatching. At least that was over and they were now high tailing it out of there. He moves to wherever the medical area is and waits his turn despite the blood.

And so, this little ship that sits above the lovely planet takes off with its wounded within. Those hit with the grenade no longer exist, and that ship that dared to try to overrun the 'intruders' scutters away. For now, this group will take what information they have and make their plans, and once settled, will return to retake what is theirs.
