Dug In: Part Two

OOC Date: May 22, 2020
Location: Chandrila
Participants: Septima Carnine, Hadrix Kora, Yuun, Lokir, Merek

Chandrila has been a very busy place the last few months. With the news of the New Republic being resituated here as the capitol after the liberation it was bound to have some issues. But no one really expected a group of Stormtroopers to try to murder a Senator, not this early on in things. Bob has been in the custody of the New Republic and the Resistance for the last little bit and he's been treated fairly well. They were not savages!

The stormtrooper with the name of 'Bob' is shackled currently and seated at a table for interrogation. He looks like he's very concerned about what might happen to him. There's already sweat beading on his brow and he's got a little tremor in his hands.

Mekil, Senator Carnine's bodyguard is present, standing in the corner of the room to oversee things. The tall man hair his salt and pepper hair pulled back into a ponytail and his clothing looks more militaristic than usual. It's not going to be a packed house it looks like, but that room on the other side might contain a few other people. Who knows?

Merek assisted with making sure that Hadrix might be able to visit, either way the man is about as well, overseeing, even if he is waiting for the former First Order, he looks to the place, his uniform armor on as well, while he nods a bit when he comes to Mekil, "We have any news?"

You've received a +nom from Merek. +nom/pending to review.

Lokir stands impassively from behind the mirrored glass. His own mirrored, horned helm reflects the stormtrooper shackled to the table. "The boy seems afraid. An odd trait for someone willing to attempt a suicide mission. Perhaps he is afraid of having been taken alive?"

Out of armor, dressed in a black uniform with the rank markers precisely placed on shoulders and left breast to not only designate him as a command officer - but of the Vanguard. The hawkbill hat set precisely on his head so that his hair appears to be proper cut as well. Hadrix appears for assistance. Clean as one can be with the volume of scar tissue. There is no slouch, no soldier swagger. The manner of his stride suggesting he should be on the command walk of a Star Destroyer. Not in a Republic prison structure... at least on this side of the bars, so to speak.

Mekil gives a nod of his head head to everyone as they wander in. "The boss said we were waiting for the Manda..." he trails off as he sees Hadrix come strolling in with his uniform on. He raises a finger to point to him, "Umm, that guy, yeah." he finishes. Was that the same guy?! "Otherwise no new news, no." he states to Merek. There's a tap on the glass and then a moment taken to listen to something that is said on his radio.

Bob looks a bit MORE concerned when Hadrix comes in dressed like he is, "Oh no." he whispers as he tries to scoot back in the chair, but he's not going anywhere.

"Mister Kora, did you want to start with questions? I'm sure that everyone is going to have their own." Mekil states as he straightens. "Just let me know if you need anything." he tells the group.

Lokir nods.

Merek nods a bit to Kora, and takes a look to Mekil, "I will only be asking the questions directly if I need to, I'll relay my question by comlink," he says, then he offers that to Hadrix, "What we need to learn, I'm sure he knows anyway, what the plan was, who was involved, what plans there are. And... Of course, perhaps the man will be able to convince the stormtrooper a bit away from the path."

Yuun was visiting on Chandrila when he heard about the assassination attempt. Having asked around and being allowed to where the questioning, he isn't dressed like a typical Jedi, but he does have on monk like fighting clothes. Once he makes his way to the area, he is quiet for the time being, looking at the captured Stormtrooper and watching the others from the opposite side of hte room with the oneway glass.

With the trooper present and staring at him Hadrix makes a distinct note of not looking at the man. Stormtroopers weren't people after all. With him, just behind and now coming up over his shoulder is his ID10 with her claws set in a far more aggressive looking posture.

"Yes... Mekil was it?" Hadrix's voice is ever harsh, upper tier Coruscant accented, but clearly turned to glaciers grinding together from years of battlefield yelling and smoke inhalation. Still not looking to 'Bob' as they've been calling the man and accepting a datapad from Gripper.

"Stormtrooper, Operator Number and current deployment purpose." said with an edge that 'Bob's life depended on it.

For those that don't go into the room where 'Bob' is being held, they get to be ushered into the small room behind the glass, which is where Senator Carnine is standing. She's leaned against the wall near the window and looking at the situation. She gives a quiet murmur of thanks to Mekil over their commlink and then she goes quiet and she makes a few notes on her datapad. She's dressed in grey pants, white tunic and grey coat given she's not been out working today.

Bob however looks to Hadrix as things start. He straightens up, his posture going stiff. "Operator number is 2113, current deployment purpose was to assist in the battle on the surface when the Resistance was liberating Chandrila." the trooper states.

Merek steps up to nod to the Senator, "You are doing alright?" the man asks, while he takes a moment to adjust his equipment as well as the scarf which he wears. The man begins to listen in to the conversation, as an Officer, he takes a nice holopad which he uses to take notes with, to take back to the Fleet.

Lokir eyes the trooper from behind the glass. <That mission doesn't jive with the assassination attempt. Did they go off-book when the FO lost the engagement? Are there other units still on planet?>

A sniff denoting a considerable change in 2113's fortunes and not in a positive light. "Indeed... Well then See-Ach Two-One-One-Three..." adding the planetary initials for extra officiousness, Hadrix taps at the datapad, lips pulling into a harsher frown. "Your mission is failed - your subversive action secondary has failed." a long line of indoctrinated operational scenerios running through the big man's head. What to do with the situation at hand.

"Clearly you had no demolitions, not even enough power packs to rig one for the public operation, no lander access. Why a crowd assassination with lacking manpower and no ordinance to insure success? You lacked the numbers for a proper terror tactic." when the baleful red bionic comes to fall on One-Three it has a kinder expression than the burning gray organic.

"Why did you not secure off-world transit, commandeer the craft and return to First Order command with intelligence gleaned? Now you have jeopardized situations, shown weakness in our ranks and have forced my interdiction in this matter to avoid further diplomatic fallout." one hand slams into the table before 'Bob', bouncing off. Sturdy table. It only seems to infuriate him; pained from the improper strike and when he leans in to glower at the Stormtrooper... it looks like he's ready to pounce and rip him limb from limb the way the adrenaline has started flowing. If one could perceive him in the force there is a rage that is constantly gnawing at its cage within the man, and one of those metaphorical durasteel bars has snapped.

Yuun is quiet and just watching for now, this is a serious situation and as he watches Hadrix interrogate the prisonar, he does ask whoever is in there with him, "Who is the one doing the interrogating?"

"I'm doing alright, yes." Septima states with a nod of her head to Merek. Mekil is standing off to the side in the other room, but, he figures with the other New Republic folks that the Senator will be fine in a small room. She does jump when Hadrix bounces his hand off the table and there's a wince, "Ouch." she whispers.

Bob however has a completely different reaction, he tries to scoot away from Hadrix, his chair screeching back, "The captain said that we were going to try to redeem ourselves. He's dead or you could ask him yourself." he tells Hadrix. "He figured that going out in the early evening with a crowd would be effective. We didn't realize we'd have to go against Jedi and others." he frowns. "We didn't agree with the idea, but, once you're in, you're in." he frowns. "We knew it was stupid." he states. "And there's another group that's on planet. They're dug in out near Sarini Island. They do have demolitions and things." he points out.

Merek looks thoughtful a bit, while he makes a few notes on the holopad, "Well, interesting." The man nods a bit to Septima, with a look to Melik, then to the whole interrogation while he thinks about it.

Lokir taps his horn thoughtfully. <Wonder if we can get some numbers on that unit. Long term, we might be able to leverage this trooper to help dig out the others. Bait and bag.

Hadrix is practically across the table, one massive hand on top of Bob's head and smashing it against the surface. But his voice is edging around calm. Still business even as he is pressing down as if to see what will give first. Skull or durasteel table.

"See-Ach Two-One-One-Three. There is no one utilizing authorized comm frequencies. You will give me the means to contact this secondary group before you endanger the integrity of the Order further. This will be handled properly and not by fools who should have been sent back to reconditioning if they thought this sort of Nerf-Boy activity would be anything other than catastrophic failure." the last word drawn out in a contemptuous sneer, fai-lee-yer.

Yuun walks over to where Septima and the others, "He's the only one that you were able to capture?" he asks as he looks out at Hadrix and Mekil as they interrogate Bob. He winces a little at teh face to wall, though he looks to the others to see their reaction to this.

"Whoa!" Mekil states as Hadrix's big meaty mitt starts to smash the poor stormtroopers head against the table. Septima is wide eyed behind the glass as she lets her hand finds the comm to the room beyond, "Please don't hurt that man, he's in our custody and not to be harmed by anyone. We aren't going to be mistreating or beating the people that we question." she states calmly. Maybe Hadrix needed some calm.

Bob's head starts to creak and the mans eyes squeeze shut, "I just want to go home to my family!" he shouts in a scared voice. "I'll help you guys get them. They aren't lead by an idiot like we are." he breathes out. "I just want to see my baby girl before you guys execute me or whatever you're going to do. The Order left us here and I don't want to go back." he chokes back a sob as he says that.

Septima looks to Yuun when he approaches and there's a bit of a breath before she speaks, "He's the only one that was alive to bring in to talk to." she admits. "I was out after the first blaster bolt got fired." she looks back to the two way mirror, "But if there is another group out there we need to get them out of here before something worse happens." she states. Her almost dying wasn't the worst case scenario in her book.

Merek nods a bit, while he looks to the way that the situation looks to be managed. A light inhale, while he looks to folk with a nod, beginning to take a note.

The snarl in Hadrix's voice is liquid rage when he looks to Mekil, "I. Know. What. I'm. Doing." each word bitten out while the cords in his neck stand out. Bob's head is lifted up. "Tell them everything. Every code you have. Every locational detail provided. Everything they ask for so that the rest of the incompetency can be expunged. Thereafter, you are relieved of duties and once they have finished with you I am sure they will send you to your family under observation." The big man takes a moment for breath, organic eye closing as he steps back from the table and the prisoner, shooting a look at Mekil and then turning his gaze back to the trooper.

"If you lie to them and I hear of it. There isn't a cage nor army that could protect you and when your end comes it will be on the end of screams and pain... and fear to the point you wish you would go mad, just to make it all stop because you know you won't be allowed a true end for years."

Oran's protege.

Lokir isn't bothered by the physical interrogation. Imperials didn't give partisans trials, after all. Also, Lokir may have already given a little boot to Bob's ribs on the way in. <Huh? A child? Seems unlikely for a trooper in active service. Is he leading us on? I'm all for stringing him out as bait, but not if it doubles back as a reverse ambush.>

Yuun nods his head to Septima even after she told her people to calm down and not harm the prisoner. Yuun was thinking that and is glad that she was able to reach out to her people. "I see. I'm glad you're back on your feet." he smiles to her. He does nod to Merek and the others, he watches them as they continue with the interrogation.

"Hey big guy, no one questioned what you were doing." Mekil states to Hadrix. He just didn't want to add to things. He motions for Bob to get himself together, "We'll work all of that out. You can give us the locations and we'll speak with General Dameron and General Greystorm to see what they want to do with you after that." he nods to that.

Septima gives a curious look when there is mention of a child, "Maybe there is an abnormality?" she offers. "Sometimes preconditioning can be worked out if the person is willful, but, I'm not the best source of information on that." she admits. "I think I've seen enough though." she murmurs as she pushes away from the wall and heads for the exit of the room. Though she gives a smile to Yuun, "Thank you." she tells him before she steps out.

Bob. Poor Bob is a mess, so there might be the oddity that a Stormtrooper might not be so far gone in their brainwashing that it couldn't be undone. But, they didn't have a lot of proof. Just words from a guy that had tried to help kill one of the Senators not too long ago.

Hadrix might be ashamed of the crying stormtrooper.

Merek nods a bit, keeping note while he watches people!

Lokir shrugs. <This boy is an odd variable. Willing to fire on a crowd, but now just a lost puppy looking to go home? This wouldn't be plausible back when stormtroopers were volunteers and the Battle of Yavin was fresh. Still, he's proved useful. Let's chase down the lead and hunt down any lose ends.>
