Log:Emergency Mission: Ashes, Ashes

Naq'ezaen'plerri, or Ezaen for short if going by traditional Chiss naming practices, has broken out of holding.

The Security Detention center is in disarray in the likes that they have never seen since the fleet has been rebuilt; seven posted on guard duty have been killed, their stripped bodies left callously on the ground, having struck in the middle of a late-night shift change and thus taking advantage of the brief window in which the Security Center has the least amount of people. Cell 2, where the First Order spy has been kept, sports all the signs of electronic tampering from within. What makes the situation even more complicated is the fact that in spite of being held captive for a few weeks, the man has kept himself sharp - seven other cells are empty, indicative that he had let out other prisoners just to make the lives of those stationed in the Renegade a little more difficult than necessary.

And judging by the state of the armory in the area leading out of the brig, he has armed them as well.

Lieutenant Dawn Antilles is not in the Security Center; she is in Engineering overseeing the last of the Renegade's repairs, but the moment she has been informed by one of the Resistance's security officers of the breakout, she asks him several pointed questions before switching her comm's channels to the secured frequency she uses to reach the ship's command structure for urgent messages.

"Command, this is Schoolgirl," she begins as she triggers the alarms all over the ship, the interior of the Renegade washing in red. "The Chiss agent escaped and broke out seven others. They took their guards' uniforms, broke into the armory, and took their comm devices so I'm keeping this in the secure line, for now. Believe their priority is to get in contact with the First Order. I don't know how far they've gotten on the ship but I'm in the process of trying to limit their options - suggest lockdown priorities be on the bridge, engineering and launch bay. I'm in engineering now to jam our outgoing communications on the entire ship and to keep an eye on any attempts to undo it, so either they're going to need to take over this section once I'm done here, or try and hijack transport and jump. They had about a five minute headstart if we're going by the scheduled shift change. Orders?"

---

When the alarm goes off, bathing the room in red rotating light, David Ironside had been going over squadron performance in the Pilot's Pit. As soon as the alarm hits, the datapad gets dropped, his blaster comes out of its holster and the pilot activates his wristcomm. He doesn't chime in, but heads out into the Fighter Bay overseeing the hangar and airlocks. "Wonder what this is about.." he mutters to himself and anyone within earshot.

---

The Zeltron male, in a stroke of bad luck, is nowhere near his gear when this alarm goes off. He's pretty much in merely his uniform, and his shock gloves are tucked away safely inside of his footlocker. However, he is kind of a paranoid prick, so he doesn't go anywhere without the brass knuckles he discreetly slips on to his hand, "How many? We need to lockdown the comms stations and the hangars," it isn't a command, more like, a quiet suggestion.

---

Warning klaxons and lights blare, and Jessika, surrounded by a contingent of mechanics who are working on her T-65c, glances up from the datapad she's been viewing a checklist on. "What the.." Trailing off, and curious about the alert itself, since no formal message has been broadcasted, there are nonetheless protocols to follow in an event like this. "Alright, lock it down, mechanics. Seal off the turbolift once I..." Glancing over at David stepping out of the Pilot's Pit, Jessika motions at him and raises her voice to be heard. "I'm going to have the mechanics seal off the turbolift once I go down. You coming, or are you going to stay up here?" Noticing the blaster drawn, Jessika can't help but grip the textured handle of her own weapon.

It eases free from its holster and her finger rides alongside the trigger guard. Keeping the barrel pointed down towards the deck, she does a quick check of its setting, ensuring that it's on stun, and then begins making her way to the lift in question. Aboard it, she holds the door to wait for David's answer, using the wrist of her weapon hand, and drags her comlink from the belt inside her half-worn, tied off flightsuit to ensure that any communications coming through won't be muffled by it.

---

Jonn Drayson, Action Hero, was in the Observatory, once again doing pushups. This time he was doing them in full gear and armor, because he was recovered enough from having his stomach blown out to add additional weight to his training. The earpiece, always lodged in his ear, squawked at him and he fell down in surprise right after, "Foahty-neeeeeein!" Thump! He scrambled to his feet, checking that his service blaster was on his hip, and his long cylindrical tube of highly-focused lockpicking was safely tucked away in a pocket. "Sy," he called out to the other man in the room, who no doubt was getting the same message he was. "You are der one who senses better, can you find our fyugitives?"

---

They caught her in the shower. The unmistakable sound of BAD klaxons and blipping secure channels and any and all noises that mean unpleasant things are to come. Of course this happens now. Not bothering to finish rinsing the suds, Greystorm busts out of fresher to snatch up her comm in soggy hand and bark into it "COME AGAIN!?" Like the professional she is. She sounds pissed. There's some thumping and slip-bumping around as she ransacks her own locker to pull out a bodysuit and slither into it one-handedly. "Yes, Bridge, Engineering, Launch Bay are good starts but keep in mind there are computer terminals located in both Conference room and Briefing Room that could serve his needs in a pinch." Kriffin Kark. Ambrosia swaps the comm into her other hand to finish getting 'decent' and starts chucking armored plates onto her bed. It's in the midst of this that she has an idea. Her desk. Any officer's desk! "Odds are he's banking on those areas BEING our priority. More heavily manned....but what about the little spaces? Where is it we /aren't/ most the day, eh?" Precisely where she's at now, but that's beside the point. "Officer's Quarters. There's an intercom system built-in here, not sure how far he might get with that." Think think think...

"Lockdown these zones, any Army grunts residing within, get your gear and get out, wait for my directions. You got eyes on ship-wide surveillance, Schoolgirl? If we can isolate them from other personnel in a sealable area, mightn't hurt to cut their O2 long enough to get'em woozy. Couple minutes won't kill'em," she mutters the last bit while finishing her own suiting-up. "My /advice/ is that once the lockdowns are in place, any and all available personnel form up, sound off, and sweep it systematically to detain by any means necessary, so long as they remain in a revivable state. They just borked their rights to a hospitable stay. Our priority is keeping them off our comms and out of our ships. Groundforces standby for assignments. I'm uploading our prisoners' faces to your HUDs now for a refresher. Don't blindly follow your comrades uniforms, look eachother in the eye to be sure. Schoolgirl - I will dispatch a fireteam to your location pronto, led by yours truly so you can let'em in. ETA 3 minutes."

---

Kaiden had the moment to get his shit from his locker, to gear up, upon command, and the man moves as fast as he physically can to do so, which explains him missing half of eveerything that was said, as violet eyes sweep and search around to no avail.

---

"Affirmative, Brigadier General, that's why I'm engineering. I'm working on jamming shipwide outgoing communications now," Dawn replies to Amber as she works the terminals. "From what the security officer in the scene told me, he managed to jimmy himself out of his holding cell, so he's probably got some technical knowhow. If he tries to get through my wall from anywhere on the ship, I can pinpoint attempts from here, which means the moment he does it, we're gonna have to move to try and grab him. Not sure about what he's going to have the rest do." Green eyes lift to the monitors before her. "No funny activity yet but there's only so much our cameras can capture if they're wearing the uniform caps."

Amber runs a tight ship - once the orders are delivered, the designated zones are locked down - bridge, engineering and launch bay first before the secondary areas. Launch bay is locked down first thanks to Jessika's foresight, the turbolift sealed and a couple of army grunts moving to guard it against comers now that the BG has delivered her orders down the line. Otherwise, personnel do sound off, save for those who got killed in the Security Center.

Her people form up quickly, waiting for her lead to head for Engineering where Dawn has barricaded herself. The rest of the people in the ship do so as well, though their quarries are presently camouflaged. Several army types walk past the Observation lounge where Jonn and Syrus are, a few trotting past Jessika, David, and a few other officers in the corridor Ektor and Kaiden are in. The Chiss would stand out, given his blue skin and red eyes, but the seven others? They would have to go by data - luckily the prisoners' faces have been dispatched to all working personnel's HUDs already.

JONN AND SYRUS: Two linger behind the group passing by the Observation lounge, and Jonn senses the grenade a few seconds before Syrus spots it. The incendiary is thrown right into the room both Jedi are in, but they'll have time to counter it.

DAVID: David's keen eyes spies one of the prisoners in uniform, thanks to the data sent under Ambrosia's orders, walking past with the group and maintaining the same, urgent clip as the rest.

AMBROSIA: As her team approaches Engineering, she would find a party of three already attempting to break into the barricaded doors, though one of them sees the approaching group as well. They are outnumbered, so they choose to abandon and laser fire breaks out in an attempt to cover themselves as they escape further into the bowels of the ship.

EKTOR AND KAIDEN: He sees absolutely nothing save for the group of officers moving past him to follow orders...presumably.

Dawn suddenly patches through the comms. "Caught an attempt in the following sector." She rattles it off, in a comm station close to Medical Bay. "But it was cut off. I think it's our main guy."

---

Klaxons, locksdowns, and escapees. Oh my. One of the refreshers on the deck near the Observation Lounge swooshes open, and a bulky black and white Herglic wedges himself out into the corridor, adjusting his travel tarp(brown jedi robes) to conceal his modesty, and rebuckling his weapon/utility belt. He squints his beady dark eyes, and reaches out with the Force, trying to find his comrades in Jediness. Perhaps send a message. It doesn't look that strange. Just a really pensive space whale in the klaxon filled corridor.

---

At Jess' gesture to hold the turbolift for him, Dave raises a hand. "Gimme a second." He turns on his heels, rushing back into the Pilot's Pit to grab his fallen datapad. Turning back out to head to Jessika, David clips the datapad to his side. That's when he sees the prisoner. On his own, in uniform. Silently, he points the guy out to Jessika as he finally joins her. "That's one of them." he whispers to her when he can.

---

<<Hey, what's going on, yeah?>> Ektor gripes into his comlink on the open frequency. Leaning his right shoulder against the airlock frame, comlink in the left hand, pistol lazily held in the right. The muttered inquiry trails off as information is incoming very promptly, afterward. As the squad of officers walk past, his eye is pulled after them by virtue of one officer having particularly shapely legs. Right, right, the comlink. <<Apollyon here, yeah? At the main airlock, I got eyes on the port side hatchway to the main corridor. Can make a run toward MedBay, if nobody else is closer.>> He steps away from the frame and starts quickly in the direction of the named corridor.

---

Kaiden doesn't see any of them, even as Ektor points one out, but he is fairly good at following! So he stays pretty under the radar with his group, enough in proximity to get to the front, but far enough that he's not crowding.

---

Nodding in confirmation of David's need for a second, Jessika continues to glance around in the process. She doesn't see anything out of the ordinary, except a group traveling into the Fighter Bay for some reason. She thinks nothing of it until David's message, under his breath, reaches her. Still holding the door to the turbolift open, her fingertip taps against the side of her weapon in silent thought. "I'll approach him from the side. You get ready to hit him with the stun." She whispers it back, and steps out of the turbolift to begin working her way towards the man David has pointed out in the uniform. Her approach is to make sure she's not in the way of his shot, and her own arm moves so that her hand, and the blaster in it, are behind the hanging sleeve, hidden.

"Hey, we're locking this section down still. Are you part of the security team? It's about time you guys got here. I actually think I saw someone suspicious lurking near the back of the bay." She's trying to get him to turn himself more towards the back of the bay.

---

Jonn Drayson felt something crawling in his mind. Danger. Still not used to the sensation of feeling what's about to happen before it does, Jonn was pleasantly surprised to see a cylindrical object with a blatantly clear meaning form in his mind a second or two before it flew through the door. Sithspit.

"GET DAAAAAAAUN!" roared the hulking slab of man meat, throwing his hand forward and trying to dismiss the grenade to the other side of the room. Its arc was affected, slightly, but not enough to get it out of the danger zone. HELP.

---

JESSIKA: The prisoner in uniform that David identified to her turns to look at her with inscrutable dark eyes. There's a glance to the area of the ship that she points out, and shakes his head. "Sorry," he says. "I was informed that we should be sweeping the mess. Looks like you got launch bay locked down though, hold the fort for us? We'll circle back." There's an easy smile, before he turns to go. While the female pilot's bluff didn't work, it has at least separated the man from the group in which he has attempted to hide. The question now is if David will risk taking the shot once he's in position.

JONN AND SYRUS: Jonn's telekinesis doesn't work, but Syrus' does, and he's able to fling the grenade away from them and into the hall from whence it came. The explosion /roars/ outward, catching the two prisoners that are presently attempting to escape, now that they've tried to murder them. The blast catches both bodies, tossing them further into the corridor, but they are attempting to get up, and make a quick getaway. Meanwhile...

PUNT: He hears the explosion from where he is, pinpointing him to the right direction of his Jedi comrades, and the two prisoners attempting to escape them.

KAIDEN AND EKTOR: Their corridor, now that the other security team has passed, is relatively empty, and largely silent when they reach the spaces close to Medical Bay. A peek in the comm terminal close to it will betray signs of it having been tampered with recently, with ACCESS DENIED flashing across the screen in red letters. Ektor would spot a moving shadow vanishing around the corner, moving away from the area - and perhaps with the intent to abandon it entirely for another.

---

More instructions were being snapped over a secure frequency to Army personnel - one used in the field. Teams of ten, assembling at all high-risk areas to secure it, then send 5 of their members each on a mapped route to sweep. A route that Greystorm's scrambling to make now while she consults ship schematics. They took an entire space station away from a murderous band of pirates using methodical infil-and-sweep tactics, so this SHOULD be easier, right? No need to infil. Just a matter of sniffing out the FO in Res clothing... The added incentive to be ON TIME and ADHERE TO PROTOCOL is given next: <<...any Resistance personnel encountered alone and in facial-concealing gear will be assumed hostile, as precautionary. You don't run off for so much as a piss without explicit confirmation from Command, Copy? This ain't some drill and you /will/ be shot. Keep com chatter to a minimum, secure lines only. Be all ears for Schoolgirl's updates>> There. Done. Amber's thumbs double-tap the screen and send out the assignments to her groundpounders, save for those already summoned outside her door. "Come with me."

Her party of six (Brigadier General included) enter the fore's main corridor and make fast tracks aft-ward toward Engineering, while a team of four hang back to bar access to Officers' quarters. Because family photos and letters and personal stashes of highend booze are priceless, y'all.

Well, would ya look at that! "Honied hell," the old rebel growly-purrs over her helmet's comm to her comrades. Between they and the door to the Engineering Bay are three 'troopers'. "We're already here. Second out-of-body experience I've had this year..." And the pistol in her hand goes up 'bout the same time as the turntail prisoners fire off theirs. FIREFIGHT! She pops off a couple rounds of her own, coupled with the shout over - switch - unsecured comms <<LAY YOUR ASSES DOWN NOW OR I /WILL/ KILL YOU SLOW, Y-->> Er. Dammit. It shorted. All that's left is silence hanging on the amputated tail of an old woman's pissy threats as she scowls there looking like a drowned (but spring fresh) rat in armor. "You catch them," she points a stabby finger at three of her mini team, which leaves herself plus 2 standing guard at the Engineering door. <<Schoolgirl, I'm here. Chasing 3 off your doorstep, should be apprehended shortly.>>

---

David makes a little face at Jessika when the suspect disregards her attempt to redirect the prisoner. He lets the prisoner away for a moment, then raises his blaster and squeezes the trigger, sending a bright blue stun bolt somewhere between the suspect's shoulders and tailbone. It does the trick, though, the man dropping immediately like a sack of space-potatoes. Lowering the blaster again, he gives Jess a look that's half cocky gunslinger and half serious. "One down." He says to the only other person there, like she didn't see. David unclips his datapad, quickly identifying the man at his feet to edit his file to say 'apprehended'.

---

"Hey, Jazz Hands," Ektor hollers to Kaiden, upon spotting the Zeltron on his way to the Med Bay corridor. "Come on, you're with me, yeah?" Idly, he adds in the next breath with a curious side-eye, "Didn't we give you a gun, yet?" Coming around the corner with blaster up and at the ready, he lets it drop again as the terminal and it's comforting 'access denied' message are eyed briefly. Spotting the moving shadow, he swats at Kaiden's near shoulder with his left hand in a swift and silent, 'this way' as he breaks into a sprint around the corner, moving after the vanishing shadow.

---

Don't kill, if it can be avoided. That's a basic Jedi rule. And, Punt might have cut a few too many people in half. As his bulky whale-self comes bounding around the corner into the corridor where a pair of escapees try to stand up. He could've whipped out his vibroblade, or gone with the back-breaking fisticuffs. Instead, he gets a very intense look on his face, and holds a hand out toward one of the men, and makes a flinging gesture toward the other guy. Nothing happens. A bit of debris might flutter a few inches. "Fine." His left hand falls to his utility belt, and his vibroweapon is drawn with a flourish. "Surrender." Deep bass voice rumbles forth in a matter of fact matter.

---

Kaiden yanks his head around at the sound of his 'nickname' centering his gaze on Ektor. He offers a subtle nod and dips his chin in acknowledgement as he veers to join Ektor. He doesn't see shit, but he does catch the signal, and he's quietly moving with the other man. Well, not silently, "Better with my fists."

---

While her bluff doesn't work, the escaped prisoner in his stolen uniform does one better and actually starts to move towards the lift, which makes him more of a target than before. The shot from David takes him down as he presents an even better target, and Jessika's arm shifts to show her weapon from where it was hidden before. "Nice shot." Holstering it, she steps over to where the man has gone down and begins to search his person for any kind of weapon or anything else he might have taken, so she can determine who he stole the uniform from or anything else of that nature. "We're gonna need a pair of stuncuffs. See if there's some real security close by?" She asks the question as she begins the pat down. "He said he was heading the mess. Can you relay that, too?"

Retrieving the prisoner's commlink, Jessika checks to see if the frequency on it is different than the one standard for the ship. The next thing she finds is a datapad. On the display is series of schematics, and the areas connecting Engineering to the Launch Bay are visible. "I think.. these are maintenance shafts connecting engineering and our launch bay. They might be moving through these to travel to different parts of the ship unnoticed." Standing, Jess gives them a further study. "Alert Dawn. They could be hitting engineering from somewhere other than the front door."

---

"Dey will nahd!" insisted Jonn Drayson as he burst past Punt in the corridor. He'd emerged from the Observatory after the explosion, with his ears ringing, his hands shaking, burning passion pumping through his veins, his theme song blaring nonexistently through the air. He leaped, dove, flew, and... SPEAR! AS GOD AS MY WITNESS HE IS BROKEN IN HALF!

"It looks like you've BURNED yoah covah, asshole!" he declared, proudly, but to waste, as while he had covered the distance, he hadn't actually dragged the man back down to the ground! Uh oh.

---

Following shortly behind Jonn is Syrus, his Guardian robes whipping around his feet. Watching Jonn tackle someone brings him no end of concern, but that's a conversation for a later day. Sy spies the other remaining baddy and holds a hand out in his direction. He throws his hand in the direction of the bulkhead and the man lifts off the floor and flies into the wall.

---

"Much appreciated, Brigadier General," Dawn replies to Amber as she scans the monitors in front of her, the doors hissing open to let her commanding officer in. "Ironside and Pava just got one, I'll send personnel to secure. There was an explosion in the Observation Lounge, looks like they targetted our Jedi guests, but they look fine. Two more are tangling with them now. Apollyon and Kaiden are in pursuit, though I can't quite determine what they're chasing...."

JESSIKA AND DAVID: Their comms crackle. <<Ironside, Pava, this is Schoolgirl. Three of the target fugitives are just leaving engineering, pursued by three of the BG's men. If you follow this route, you might be able to corner them and help them out.>>

EKTOR AND KAIDEN: Their pursuit leads them to another corridor that splits perpendicularly from the one in which they are in previously, where they quickly discover that the shadow they are pursuing is a droid, and one that is acting very strangely. IT'S A TRAP. Two shadows drop from one of the maintenance shafts silently behind the two of them, blaster raised...but it misses Ektor and his Zeltron companion, leaving a spray of sparks and a scorchmark past their heads. One of this is the Chiss. He turns back around to head for the communications array by Medbay while his companion continues to fire at the other two Resistance agents in an effort to cover him.

THE THREE JEDIS: The two staggering fugitives stop anyway when they espy Punt at the end of the way, vibroblade brandished...all four hundred-something pounds of him, with a whale of a face. And while he manages to catch their attention, one of them quickly manages to sidestep Jonn's attempt at a tackle, only for Syrus' telekinetic shove to bear him towards the wall, and knock him out completely. With the other one left staring, surrounded in three sides by Jedi, he drops his weapons and raises his hands. "Yeah, no," he says. "Anything but that."

AMBROSIA: A firefight does break out - Amber's space grunts fire and miss, and the three agents freed by their main First Order quarry shoot back - nobody seems to be hitting anyone today. Finally, with two leaving suppressive (albeit useless) fire on the others, one breaks away from the group in an attempt to look for an access panel, though there's no indicator, for now, whether he intends to go to Engineering or Launch Bay.

---

<<You're embracing that now, huh?>> David replies, adding, <<We took one down in the Launch Bay, moving to intercept.>> With that, he taps a button on his wristcomm and looks towards Jessika. "Bagged and tagged. C'mon, there's still more of them out there." Blaster aimed slightly upwards, David moves towards the main corridor, stepping lightly. Any noise they make will reveal them to the enemy, and Dave's not about to go through a repeat of the encounter with the FO sniper. Keeping a side-eye on Jessika, he moves ahead of her.

---

"Hello Jonn. Hello Syrus." Punt offers a toothy smile to the pair of Jedi as they appear, oh so dramatically. "Excellent work." The Herglic's vibroblade is rehung on his belt, and his datapad is drawn. A quick few commands are punched in, and a message is sent to Renegade's central computer, as he's currently lacking the actual command comm frequency. ...Two hostiles aquired outside Observation Lounge...

"I'd like it if you could show me how to manuever so quickly, Jonn. It would be fine practice. Next time, you might stick the landing." Is that what passes for a joke out of the space whale? Possibly. He also seems content to let the other Jedi actually secure the guy. They're closer to him!

---

Ektor skids to a stop as the ruse is revealed. He looks briefly tempted to shoot the droid out of irritation, until ambush! He brings his blaster up while ducking to one side, with the eloquent report of, "Blue guy!" shouted as he opens fire on the fleeing Chiss. Leaving the closer opponent to Kaiden, he (perhaps foolishly) fires after the fleeing super spy, starting off again in pursuit, blaster spitting bolts of energy after ...whatever this guy's long-ass name was.

---

<<Lost one, will attempt to pursue>> radios one of Amber's 3 'men' engaged in a shootout with now just 2 of the 3 prisoners while the third is bolting for a side corridor in search of...maintenance hatch or ventilation duct big enough to wriggle through, probably. <<Just SHOOT them>> Ambrosia unhelpfully encourages back while coming up alongside Dawn to see what she's seeing. The BG's breathing like she's on the verge of blowing a coronary and she's wet. Sweat? Nah...soap. Streaks of unrinsed soap. It burns the eyes. Said eyes are turning on Dawn now, tone expectant. "Where does /that/ go?" she inquires about where that third perp has scampered off to/poking around at, then turns her gaze up and around at any perceivable vents.

---

Blue guy and the firing was all that Kaiden needed, and immediately he's after the guy that was shooting at him, who Ektor left him with. Miss, then pow! He feels the glove and his knuckles connect with hks assailant's cheek.

---

Stowing the datapad into one of the pant legs of her flightsuit, Jessika redraws her blaster. Instructing the mechanics to keep an eye on the prisoner until verified security personnel turn up to take him into custody, she advances in a low-ready position with her blaster pistol, using a two-handed grip that'll allow her to snap her weapon up quickly and keeping it tucked close to her so that she doesn't accidentally try to raise it and fail in the relatively confined space of the corridors. That, and because coming around a corner with her hands out is a good way to simply get her weapon knocked from her hand. The barrel is trained towards the deck, as always, and the safety on the weapon is off. She moves quietly, too, taking careful steps and following the route designated by Lieutenant Antilles to cut off the prisoners between themselves and the General's team.

---

"Hello dere Punt! Did you get to relief yourself prahperly befoah der alarms?" asked Jonn of the actual space whale. The bulky man was making himself busy, taking out the handcuffs that the escapees had so helpfully stolen from the armory and fastening their arms behind their backs. And their ankles together. "You just godda put whan foot in front of der odda, really fast." Well, that was blunt. Sorry Punt. He directed his next words towards the prisoners. "I don't whan to see ei-der of you twooh HOPPING off anywheah!" joked Jonn, badly, again, letting out his rumbling guffaw. Then he fetched the comm out of his own set of trooper armor. "Ched-hai hyere. Twooh in custody." He must not have seen what Punt was typing in his datapad. "What is der sityuaytion? Whyere can we help?"

---

"Greetings, Punt," Syrus remarks to the Herglic, dipping his head to him. Syrus takes a few moments to straighten out the sleeves of his robes and adjust the duraplast band around his arm. He clasps his hands behind his back and looks over to Jonn and Punt, waiting to see what the next order is.

---

AMBROSIA: Her three grunts continue firing at the two First Order agents that are covering the escape of their companion, who has managed to slip into one of the maintenance shafts. They miss one, but manages to wound the other, who collapses around the corner for cover, but still continues to fire. Meanwhile...

JESSIKA AND DAVID: Both pilots emerge from the /other/ side, and thus have a clear view of the firefight from the rear. They'll also notice that the nearby maintenance hatch is wide open.

EKTOR AND KAIDEN: Kaiden manages to neutralize the fugitive that has attempted to shoot him and and Ektor, laid flat on the ground once that second punch hits him across the face, still twitching from the electric shocks emanating from the Zeltron's gloves. Ektor's shots go wide, but not without yielding some very important fruit - his blasts /destroy/ the comm array that the Chiss is trying to use. With a hiss, the blue-skinned man fires back at the pilot, but it is clear that he is not aiming, because he is proceeding to vanish again, sprinting away towards the briefing and conference rooms, where he proceeds to seal himself inside, and damages the lock. At this rate, Ezaen already anticipates his escape plan unraveling - now it's time to go big or go home.

THE THREE JEDIS: The two prisoners are secured, and personnel is on their way to take them back to their holding cells when...

"That one goes to Launch Bay," Dawn tells Ambrosia grimly. "And-- " Green eyes widen and she points towards the camera turned towards the briefing room. "That's Ezaen! He's in the briefing room!"

---

David glances at Jess, wordlessly pointing his blaster at the open maintenance hatch. Keeping silent, he mimes tossing something inside the shaft, holding a hand in front of his eyes to indicate a flash grenade. David is not a maniac who blows his own ship up, if he can help it. Holding by the maintenance shaft, their presence revealed, David asks Jessika, "Blow it or lock 'em in?"

The pilot comes out of cover briefly to fire more stun bolts at the fire fight, having a clear view of one of the wounded escapees taking cover. In plain sight. The erratic movement of getting out of cover, shooting and getting back in cover cause the shot to go wide, the only thing stunned being one of the wall panels.

---

Ektor slams into the closing Briefing Room door, slamming a palm on the durasteel with a wordless shout. He crouches next to the control pad, setting blaster on the deck plating to attempt an override with his right hand, while muttering into the comlink, <<Blue Guy is in the briefing room, I'm trying to get the door open->> Forget the comlink, he needs both hands. With a loud crowing of satisfaction, the door hisses open, and he snatches up his blaster again, squeezing off a hasty shot. <<Blue Guy is down, I ain't sure if he got anything off, first...>>

---

Kaiden has to celebrate this knockout. And he does! With a smooth, victorious little dance.

---

Spying the open maintenance access, Jessika double-checks the datapad in her pocket. "That goes to the launch bay, which means we passed one up if there's supposed to be three here. The only way to clear it is for one of us to go in, and one of us to backtrack back to where the maintenance hatch ends." Dropping the datapad back into her pocket, she glances behind her to make sure no one is randomly sneaking up on them. <<Antilles, this is Pava. One got past us into the launch bay. He may be going for a transport or one of the docking clamps to get over to one of the other ships.>> She can't recall if the bay itself was closed off from launches. <<Are the docking channels and the bay itself locked down? Because things could get really complicated otherwise.>>

Placing her commlink on her belt, Jessika looks back and forth. "Alright, I'm gonna go in." Although she just put it away, Jessika gathers the datapad once more and hands it over towards David. "Go to where this ends and watch your back. If I'm the one that comes out of the hatch, we know he didn't go in through there. It's a pretty straight shot, minus some turns. But it doesn't let out anywhere else." Counting on the two ahead to be focused on the troopers in front of them rather than the pilot's bnehind them, Jess crosses the hall and moves swiftly into the maintenance hatch to begin trailing the enemy. Dangerous, but necessary. There's not much cover in here, but if they can trap the prisoner, it's more likely he'll give up.

---

Jonn might be all healed up, but he was still stiff. He started running towards the Briefing Room, then abruptly changed course towards the Landing Bay. And he wasn't gonna get there until next pose because he was slow!

---

Punt squints his eyes toward Syrus, having watched Jonn take off. "The refresher was a little tight...." He says this quietly, in response to the bullet like Jedi's departure. Whatever the squint to Syrus was about....it didn't mean anything, apparently. Call it a bad brain signal, or merely an untrained Space Whale. He lifts his datapad, and taps away. He's content to remain stationary, and check on the status of the ship, or some such.

---

"THAT," Ambrosia leaned in to glare at the briefing room's miniature, "Is why I said to LOCK it down..." Shavit. She sucked in a deep breath and held it for a few seconds, pacing away a few steps with hands - and gun - on hips before wheeling around for the door. <<Attention, all Personnel>> her voice grumbled over the secure frequency, <<One of our guests is wriggling on his belly through a maintenance shaft en route to launch bay. Please give him a warm welcome at the other end. Those of you patrolling midship I want you to converge on the Briefing Room and unleash everything you've got but prepare to fall back on my mark. That blue buster's sitting in my chair...>> She paused, looks back over her shoulder to Dawn. "If our people can't get in, then you can vent it. Drop him." Death is not to be dealt lightly, even in times of war, but when the safety and security of their whole fleet is at stake...screw humanities.

But Dawn needn't face the moral dilemma of Amber's order, because Ektor's beat her to the punch and has broken through! Thank. Kriffing. Starsforcegoddessuniversewhateveryoubelievein. The Brig Gen's fist pounds into the panel alongside the lil vid feed of that room and she hisses some word of approval between gritted teeth. <<Copy that, flyboy, nice shot. Make sure he's not waking up anytime soon and deliver him BACK to the brig. I'll meet you there.>> With a final /look/ at Dawn (poor Dawn it's not her fault), she keys herself out of Engineering, sends her two at the door in, in her stead, and reconvenes with her team STILL engaged with those wily two + David.

Elrych Cometburn had fallen asleep on the Walkwise having expected for a ride back to Nar Shadda in the morning. When he awoke though, he was no where near the Y'toub system. He was near Both? Why Both? Did someone in the Order have business there. Then he disembarked. Was he on a space station? Both didn't have a major space station... wait a ship? He explored, his shaded eyes glancing around as he walked about the bulkheads. He was wearing Jedi robes, with sneakers. White sneakers, more like running shoes. Somehow, wandering his way through the ship, he ran into Puntz. Seeing the whale-creature in the same garb he was, he assumed a connection. "Heyyy... what... where am I?" Amber's voice cam over the intercom, "OH... oh no. That's no good man..."

---

Dawn grits her teeth. "He's in, /kriff/!" The rare curse leaves her, as her fingers fly over the consoles. "He's trying to unravel what I did, he got in through the system and-- " There's a blink. "...it stopped."

Ektor's triumphant transmission has her sagging forward into the console in relief, since her finger is already on the button that'll vent the man into space, no conflict on her features and she was in fact already reaching for it while Ambrosia was giving her the order.

Jessika's transmission patches through as well. <<Copy, Pava. The bay's locked down, but this guy might have other tricks up his sleeves. I'll keep an eye out just in case. Be careful if you're going after him down the hole.>>

The other fugitives finally fall to the grunts that Ambrosia sent after them, marksmanship /vastly/ improved once the Brigadier General joins them. As Jessika descends into the shaft, she'll be able to hear it - something shuffling in the end, and metallic sheets depressing under someone's traveling weight.

When Jonn enters Launch Bay, it's empty, but it might not be empty for long. A few minutes later, Jessika, David and Jonn manage to corner the last fugitive, given absolutely no other options but to surrender. There's something to be said about strength in numbers.

Ektor answers Amber with a proud smile audible in his voice, << I hear you loud and clear, Boss lady. Lemme have a look at the terminal.. yep, looks clear. On my way to the brig, yeah?>> A long exhale, and he says to the Chiss, "Let's get going, yeah? Not sure why she wants you back there, but.. when the general says 'Jump', yeah?" Picking up one of the Chiss' booted feet, he holsters the pistol and begins dragging the dead body back to the Secuity cells.

---

Kaiden takes the opportunity to tell his unconscious opponent (loudly) how he was victorious. "You got knocked the f-" Oh, boss is around! He straightens and gets to binding the prisoner.

---

Punt squints at Elrych, as he approaches. He -is- wearing robes. But, he seems surprised. "How did you get here? This ship is on a lockdown. I'm Punt. Stick close. You could get shot." The Herglic runs a hand over his smooth, smooth skull. "Everything seems under control, really. You're with the Resistance fleet. It would be wise to try and blend in." His black eyes return to his datapad for a moment.

---

It's finally over. Seriously. May be time to re examine detention's security systems? Yup. Memo to Delede is already underway in Ambrosia's brain as she pauses in her storming toward brig to yank up one of the verily stunned surrenderees from that corridor and escorts him along by his wrist binders with vibrodagger pressed to the base of his skull. "Give me a reason," she whispers in a tone that chillingly resembles a genuine request. Ektor and his now-deceased Chiss are given a grunt of acknowledgement as she shoves by and muscles him into a cell. Additional binders are placed on his ankles, then he's flipped onto belly and 'hogtied' with yet another pair, wrists to ankles, shoulders strained and back arched.

With boot planted in the curve of the prisoner's back, graying Greystorm rips off her helmet and glares at Ektor and his quarry. A mop of half-rinsed hair tumbles out and sends 1 magical, tiny bubble adrift between them. She /literally/ was in the shower when this went down. "Strip him," she gestures to the Chiss with ehr knife. "I want that gear returned to the armory for maintenance. Before we send him out the airlock, I'll have medical take all the samples they need to cross reference his identity with any databank we may see fit in the future for sake of establishing his connections network." THAT is a long stretch of imagined findings, but you never know.

---

The ship is suddenly rocked by a very powerful blast, and a spreading shockwave of energy laces its way across the bulkheads from the front of the ship to the aft!

The lights go out and emergency lighting comes on seconds later. The ever present 'feeling' of the engines, is suddenly deactivated.

Alarms start to go off!

The Renegade is disabled... and its starting to descend.

---

Elrych Cometburn blinks, pausing as the shutter comes and the lights go out... "Okay... back to the ship. Yup. That's the best Idea..." How the hell did he end up in this situation! Bad luck? Who knows.
