Indoctrinate This

OOC Date: May 01, 2020
Location: Sullust
Participants: New Republic, Kasia Ashkuri, Ban Iskender, Karys, Hadrix Kora, Narsai Ordo, Kryll, Bizz Bliptettjupp, Kirioth Kora, Elrych Cometburn, Yuun, Aryn Cole

Getting to Sullust had always been the first obstacle, but being on the surface was the second. Sullust was not a beautiful planet, in fact, it wasn't even a peaceful planet. Its surface was littered with the volcanic rivers and ashen looking rocky surface that made its denizens rough around the edges. To them, beneath all that destructive volcanic power was a diamond worth saving, a jewel to cherish.

Helped by Sullust's large and influential underground Resistance, our heroes find themselves on the outskirts of a highly protected and well protected indoctrination facility. From afar, the structure was a fenced in garrison, built into the extensive caverns of an obsidian cave with a looming, bleeding volcano far beyond as its imposing back drop.

Two towers with sharpshooting scout troopers scanned the main service route in, a perimeter guard was fashioned as a squad reinforced that protectively marched the outer courtyard, using the fence and other structures as effective cover while observing everything that could be a break in their baseline.

The troopers stationed here are no pushover. They're all veterans, well disciplined, and well trained. At the other end of the spectrum, the Resistance setting out to tarnish this garrison's record was comprised of all walks of life. Jedi, gunslingers, monks, entrepreneurs.. citizens of the Galaxy.

From their current hiding spot, they remained unseen by the garrison currently, under the cover of night. Aryn kneels down a moment, unclipping her lightsaber and brushing back her dark cape. A slow pull of her hood, and Aryn reveals the tied back blonde locks of her hair. A gloved pair of fingers press against her ear and she raises her other hand, speaking to the wrist. <<"Comm check.. is everyone ready?">>

One of a pair of those who knew the nightmares within the facility, the Massive Mandalorian was crouched on his hunkers, bowcaster drawn and shaking with rage. Were it not for that movement, and the gold plated reality of his weapon, the cape and dark colors of his armor might have made him look like volcanic stone.

Now it just made him look like some sort of gargoyle, hunkered and waiting, watching this place as memories began to swim up through him, turning him into a glowing ball of fury.

<<"Hadrix, ready.">> is rasped out, barely words for the liquid anger in him.

The troopers may be veterans but there are those that once called them brothers and sisters amongst the group that approaches. Karys reaches up to her double t visored helmet and adjusts the seal, giving a nod to Aryn as her voice crackles over her comms. <"Karys testing. Comms functional. Ready.">

Comm check done, her DL-54 settles into her left hand, the servos of her cybernetic arm sounding out, declaring the need for maintenance. To the left is her forty four, primed and ready.

She rests on one knee, the other foot planted as she waits to rise and approach.

Bizz Bliptettjupp spent the majority of the ride on the RAINSTORM meditating. A globular censer of Dagoyan incense emitting silvery-blue smoke filled the ship with meditative vapors and overtaxed the CO2 scrubbers, but when rescuing orphans, one cannot be too pious. Now at the hiding spot he wears specialist armor under his robes. <<"Yes yes ready,">> he mutters into a hush-comm attached to his collar. He nocks an energy arrow into his bow.

Checking in over comms, after having made several checks on his equipment is Kryll. <<"Kryll, comms green, status green. Good to go.">> he carries his E-11 carbine in a sling over his chest, but it is in his hands and ready to go, along with everything else about him at this moment. He scans the area, and those who have made this trip, so much unsaid.

Ban Iskender is attired on a set of heavy battle armor, with a green half cape tied over the left shoulder. In gauntleted hands, the young man holds what looks like an elaborate sword hilt, but absent a blade. <<"Iskender, standing by,">> he notes succinctly.

Roth is here, standing just behind Hadrix in all of her alabaster armored glory. And she's just as quiet as she has been on many other trips with people. <<Roth. Ready.>> the vocoded voice states when there is the test. Then she goes back to being silent, waiting with the other members of Clan Kora that had made the trip.

Another Mando'ade was among the numbers, but this one wrapped in red and black looked far different to the hulking man with the Bowcaster.

The more petite Narsai was ready, her heavy blaster pistol gripped in one hand as she checked over her equipment one last time and moved forward, scanning behing the shroud of her T-Visor. << I am ready,>> she speaks, only then casting a look to the companions at her left and right.

Kasia has come here looking different from her usual outfits, which is to say there is far less color and flash, and a smidge more protection and fighting ability. She absently reaches up to try and adjust the helmet before speaking, <<"I'm ready. I think. This is going to be a fun one.">> The last part of that sounds far more sarcastic than the first, but there are people who need help, and she agreed to help, so here we are.

Elrych Cometburn stood silently, the green jedis cloak over his void armor swaying slightly in the heated waves of Sullests atmospjere. <<"Here...">> is all the jedi offers to Aryn. She knew who he was and his voice which wasnt scrambled.

<<"Very well. We've got sharpshooters in the towers.. and a pretty large force in that courtyard, and Mother knows what else inside. Once we start this, there's no going back. Our objective: Find their control tower quickly. From there, we can figure out how to free the kids safely, and move on from there.">> A glance is paid to Kasia, and Aryn smiles. "This is where the fun begins." But they all knew this was the opposite of fun. This was when the pain began.

Aryn takes a deep breath, influencing the feeling of the force to surround her. When next she opened her eyes, it was to mantle over the edge of rock and slide down the slope of pebbled onyx stones to the foot of the hill and at the entrance of this facility.

TWO SNIPERS caught sight of caped Jedi as she landed at the foot of the hill. The squad patrolling the courtyard take their defensive positions and begin to open fire. Aryn takes the brunt of the attack to allow the team to retaliate and mark the enemy positions.

Sliding. No. No sliding. Hadrix looks to Karys, commenting over comms, <<"Time to test out the glide-wings, Kar'ika.">> and then he is hooking one arm around her middle just as his jets engage, soaring down the hill in a blitz strike, giving the gunslinger height and momentum to try out her descent - releasing at the height of his arc.

Turning as he hits the ground to extend and fire the bowcaster whilst he drops into a fast walk. The blazing plasma coated bolt launched.

In his sniping position, the trooper has a moment to register purple armor and the KROOONK of the bolt releasing before he can't breathe. He cant call out. His head's off, his... Where is his torso. No oxygen.

The head flies free of the helmet and lands, blinking twice and then no more.

Not about to turn down the chance to rush the front lines she reaches her arm up to be taken as she remains armed. <"Let us go save some children."> This is important to them both. As she is lifted off the ground, she keeps and eye on the larger group and as she is let free the armor expands at her arms and she glides in at a rapid pace, angling herself so that she lands and skids down the rest of slope.

Coming to her feet she keeps walking without hesitation. She sucks in a breath, steadies her shots and within seconds the blasters are sending out there shots.

Brother Bizz waddles down the hillside after Aryn Cole. He isn't as fast and he has the ankles of a 60-year-old woman, but the stout Ugnaught eventually makes it to the bottom. He draws back an energized arrow and fires it at the tower sniper with a brilliant THUUUUM sound. It streaks like an orange comet into the sniper. Then he draws another arrow from his magnetic hip-quiver and nocks it, firing again, and hitting with explosive power. "The FORCE is with me, I feel it!"

While the attack is launched, a horde of blaster fire opens up on the perimeter guards. Kryll stands there, firing downrange and connects first in the left arm of a trooper, and then the second shot lands center mass, and he adjusts to another target, landing a third shot center mass as well. Both go down and do not get back up. He tracks the remaining targets, and prepares to send more lethal fire into their ranks. He does not communicate over comms, he simply focuses intently on the operation and his targetting. Knowing what is at stake here, and the cost that is being paid.

Ban Iskender looks sharply aside as Aryn emerges and immediately becomes the focus of a fusilade of blasterfire. "Ever the gallant, my Lady," he notes drily, igniting his own saber and hastening to join the charge toward the heavily defended facility. Glowing green, his blade is drawn up in a short salute to the garrison at large as he rapidly descends the ebon hill.

Roth takes a deep breath when things starts and she's making sure to calm her thoughts as she starts to move. She kicks on her jetpack, unsheathing her vibroblade as she goes flying down the hill at the perimeter guards. Someone wasn't subtle! Or they just didn't have time for it. She strikes with the blade, bringing one down that is injured greatly, but doesn't kill him outright.

Narsai's armored form takes to the air, weaving through the blaster fire like she was born to it! When she lands however, it's not the collection of Plasma-sword wielders the Mandalorian joins, instead she looses a bolt from her W-35 before she touches down right at the front, already preparing for the counter-attack despite her unlucky opening shot!

Kasia listens attentively to Aryn as she lays out both the plan, and the layout of the current threats, brows furrowing a touch as she listens. Her gaze sweeps around trying to see what she can from their hideout, then glances aside at the Jedi. A humorless laugh escapes at Aryn's reply to her, and she repeats, <<"Fun.">> When Aryn takes off down the hill, she too draws a deep breath and readies herself. A blaster is pulled free from its holster, and then she too dives right into it, and down the hill she goes. It's likely best that she can mute the mic as she makes some very undignified sounds on the way down, but she makes it and manages to fire off a single shot at one of the guards awaiting them.

<<"Yeah... Tell her to stop showing off. Making the rest of us look lazy...">> Elrych says to Ban, unclasping he black and gold trimmed saber from his belt and activating the mephite crystal neon blue blade. It hims to life but finds no victime yet. Instead, the Jedi's hand reaches out lazily. Calling upong he force, he pushes at the mind of the nearest trooper, <<"Run Away... drop your weapons...">> He didn't rush into he line of fire, didn't run and strike. He stood there, waiting, trying another way. It had to be tried…

Yuun was the last to come off the ship, he looks around at those with armor he shakes his head, "This is the second time I've done this." he sighs a little bit. The dark skinned Initiate takes his lightsaber into his hand and activates the blue blade. He doesn't know why but he looks at the hilt that was made from old used parts and smiles a little bit. Taking a mental image of his hilt and he looks forward.

Yuun moves quickly to catch up with the others, they had a job to do and he would do his best to help. As he gets to the hill and sees people sliding or flying down the hill with the incoming blaster fire, Yuun looks to the Perimeter Guards and seeing one with the heavy weapon, he reaches out his hand. Using the force as his ally and feeling it all around him, he lifts his hand and the trooper lifts off the ground and slams hard into his fellow trooper. Yuun gathers himself and leaps down and begins sliding down the hill himself, he moves more freely as he does, his lightsaber at the ready and speed takes him as he moves down the hill. Yuun doesn't hold back as he goes watching as incoming laser fire comes towards them. "Move, move, move!" he calls out to them all.

The opening gauntlet has begun, and blaster fire erupts from both sides as the Stormtroopers hold their ground against the assaulting force. They had trained for a ground assault and it showed. Contingencies for cover, the unified movement of fireteams. What they had not prepared for was the sudden flight of Mandalorians who quickly closed the distance which had troopers fumbling with what target priorities to make. Then there were Jedi!

An alarm sounds, alerting the facility of the sudden attack. A voice comes over the intercom. <"Main gate is under attack. All squads form up and move to intercept. I say again, all squads, move to the main gate. Facility is going under lock down. Code Besh. Code Besh.">

The group with Aryn close quickly to engage. Reinforcements arrive in the form of a sharply dressed youthful Ensign, and a squad of more perimeter guards, making the count 1 Officer, 1 Injured, and 23 healthy perimeter guards.

The ones who work in this sort of facility. They're the hand picked ones. The ones who've taken the indoctrination to even closer hold in the pit of themselves than even the ones like he and his fellow former Vanguard did. Not individuals, that's what got them selected for Ren's personal retinue. Cruel. Hateful. Vicious.

    • "What's wrong, Nine Oh Four? Too STUPID to fail!?"** voices covered in grave soil of his mind, thought killed and buried crawling back up into his thoughts. He can hear them, But they're not here. Elven years old. The Training Cadre. First operation, smaller armor. Less protection.

He's in the present in armor mixed of durasteel and beskar iron plates. He's charging a field, fifteen years ago to make an example of a town with all of the regular troopers. A town that produced nothing. But it would send a message just the same. He's in the present with blaster bolts singing all round him, to save children. He's in the past, one of those children, with panic shots barely missing him.

His second shot explodes duracrete and melts rebar, turning it into a crater impact akin to a lunar expanse. The cocking cord is pulled back and Hadrix continues to plod forward, shoulders hunched. A seething entity of fury.

She is the night! Karys is looking for those in charge. Cut off the head and sew chaos. The 54 is a near hit, grazing just past the shoulder of the officer. The blue armor catches the light, twisting and glinting as she moves. No need to hide and no reason to as the death machine that is Hadrix in his heavier armor strides ahead of her. The forty-four has more luck and she manages to hit the other side of the officer.

Satsifaction blooms and courses through her veins, her focus narrowed upon the objective. Save the children. Save the galaxy.

Kryll continues to hold the high ground, firing into the troopers on guard. His e-11 carbine reaping a heavy toll on their ranks. Three more fall under his attack, while they others charge into the area and engage in a much more close battle.

Ban Iskender reaches more stable ground and starts toward the compound at a sprint, his green saber thrust obliquely to deflect a bolt aimed at a nearby Mandalorian, before returning smoothly to a duelist's guard. With his eye from xing on the cavern which contains their objective, the young nobleman dashes forward, taking a pair of token swings at what guards are in reach, but missing both cleanly in his advance.

Roth gives a salute with her beskad to Ban and Yuun, she wasn't one to complain about damage, but, Jedi being around to play ping pong with the bolts was sometimes better than swimming in bacta. And she was getting old. Not ancient, but, she was feeling it. The white Mando misses with her first swing but she cuts down two other guards with the next two swings. She was getting the sinking feeling that something was going to cut her head off tonight as she was doing way too good.

Kasia manages to make it down the hill alive and without broken bones, which is definitely a bonus here. A few seconds are taken to catch her breath and size up another target, which is when she's hit. Sort of. It's a graze that does no more than leave a singe marke on the side of her helmet, which is far too close to her noggin for comfort. With that warning shot she starts forward, raising her blaster on the first guard that is in her sights, firing off one shot which puts a hole through a helmet. There's an inward cringe and hiss that carries over the comms, the second shot is aimed lower in the next guard, only hitting an arm, and the third goes wide, only hitting a wall.

A blaster-wielder in close with people swinging blades and lightsabers, Narsai likely looked the part of a Mad Woman, but she weaved and stepped between the bolts headed her way like it were all a dance she's been taught the steps to beforehand.

Her blaster snaps up, a single brief bolt that blasts through the helmet of one guard and ends him before he even saw the barrel before she ducks and pivots, blasting another heavily off his feet. He lived, but the Mandalorian-made weapon didn't tickle!

Elrych lowers his force weiding hand, the staggering trooper emiting a curious sound from the Jedi. Though, he can't reflect on the failure just yet, his blade whirling to life as one of the troopers intentions to strike down Roth are realized in his precognative ablities. THe blaster bolt is deflected in a loud squeel and bright flash against his brilliant Mephite blade. <<"Can't say I didn't try...">> He then lunges forward, his blade slicing expertly through two troopers. Seamless and fluid motion each strike.

Yuun has immersed himself within the Force, before getting to the bottom of the hill, he leaps into the air spinning and diving into a roll. His blue blade whirling around him making him look like a shining bladed top. As he comes up to his feet, his first strike misses his intended target the first time. He quickly whirls his blade around to his left and spinning to the right he stabs his blade through the chest of the Stormtrooper. He then weaves through two strikes from the troopers partner as he swings his E-11 at Yuun. Yuun isn't playing around, his speed and movements are as if he knows where the trooper is going to strike and he moves away almost as if dancing until his blade swings so fast that it looks like a streak of light just flashed past the trooper cutting him in half.

Without casting another glance, he moves fast towards two of the Mandolorians, having slide in front of Kirioth, his blade swings away from her sending a blaster bolt back towards the trooper who fired it. Yuun is off again spinning in front of or well spinning past Hadrix and the Mandolorian would see a blaster bolt coming at him then seeing a blue streak and seeing the red bolt fly back at the trooper who just shot at him, get hit by his own shot.

Aryn trudges through the uneven, small pebbled, unimproved road to the gateway and control checkpoint of the First Order. With so many squads attacking at once, it was difficult to think, and more simpler to act. So Aryn acted. Even after redirecting one bolt back to its origin, Aryn's focus becomes more honed on the frontline soldiers holding the line.

She impales the first through the chest in a merciful stab that concludes when she casts the trooper to her side. A subsequent swing takes form as an elegant slash across the torso of another, and Aryn moves to attack a third that retreats, jumping back from the sapphire blue of her lightsaber only to fire back at her.

Two shots come in quick succession, yet the Doctor steps to one side to avoid one, and ducks under the second before pressing her charge toward that trooper.

It does not seem that more troopers are coming out from the facility. Despite the raised alarms, the open cavern has not yet closed, and yellow strobe lights begin to rotate, casting eerie yellow beams along the shadowy cavern interior.

"Push forward. We must reach the interior!" Aryn called out over the chaos of the battle.

<"Vor'e, Jetii!"> is called when the bolt heading for his chest is arrested and sent back into the fray. Hadrix is shaken out from his trip through the past, but his voice is still a wet snarl despite the tone washing of the vocoder.

KRYOONK the Bowcaster spits plasma wrapped steel once more into the belly of the man who had been marked a target. An officer - he had to be 'good' to be one so young. His guts are blown out his back before flesh and sinew are strained too far, sending his legs falling back while torso rolls forwards to dump the man on his head.

<"Camp masters and guards are the worst kind. They like to hit them... They like the jeer them."> A bolt explodes on his shoulder pauldron, exposing the shining beskar beneath the paint.

<"They like to beat and break them then toss them in bacta to do it all again... And tell them it's their fault they were beaten to an inch of their lives, or while their creche mates were just killed..."> Hadrix stalks ever on, drawing back the cocking cord as another bolt ricochets off a leg plate. The sound that comes from him isn't human and it causes external speaker distortion as he roars.

As the officer goes down, there is a brief half turn of her helmet to look towards Hadrix. Her weapons switch their target, shifting to the perimeter guards in quick succession. She follows along after her fellow mandalorian. Each successive shot is let loose, the gun growing hotter at the barrel end and beginning to smoke.

<"We are doing good here...there is meaning to the deaths of those watching over the children."> Memories. They are hard to lose even when one is effectively brainwashed.

CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH go her feet across the ground. She lets out a low breath that echoes back to her inside her helmet with its displays feeding back to her all the information on the current battlefield.

Kryll continues to hold the high ground, unflinching in his resolve as he protects the others as they engage in close. His shots put down another two troopers, though the mass that were engaged at first has dwindled down and the ability of the attack team to exfil is getting easier and easier.

Ban Iskender parries a pair of inbound blaster bolts with a short pair of swats, side to side. He handles the light blade as if it were a sword of steel, as the armored gentleman continues on toward their goal within the caverns in a steady, methodical advance. As he draws nearer to the mouth of the complex, there is less room for the First Order troopers to evade, a d against a lightsaber, such limitations are deadly. Three of those still firing are cut down in moments to a swift lunging thrust, a twist and parry of the saber, and a follow up slash.

<< It's the armor, isn't it? It just attracts all kinds of flying stuff.>> Roth deadpans as she's trying to make sure one of those bolts don't hit her. And the Jedi are continuing to be amazing and hit them back. She wanted that neat trick, but, alas, she wasn't getting that. She misses a few swings, the guard she's squaring off against too quick, but she gets him on the last swing!

Another pair of bolts from the weaving and blasting Narsai, the Mandalorian ironically drawing the least amount of fire in close quarters! The Ordo woman fires again, dropping her first target and blasting yet another off his feet, but even as the rest of the team cut down foes left and right she was only half a step behind Aryn's advance.

Though Kasia doesn't put the blaster in her hand away, she stops firing as Aryn calls that they need to make it down the corridor. <"I'm trying to get there,"> she says into the comms, only huffing and puffing a little bit. Once again, thank you for the mute feature, because once she starts running there's a bit more of that hapening inside of her helmet. She's not fast at running here, but she's determined.

Elrych may not be 'feeling it' as much as Yuun today but there was clearly a means to his motion and something pushing him beyond the limits of what would normally be considered humanly possible. His blade a blurr, it leaves an orange streak of molten plasteel hrough Stormtrooper armor. Sparking brightly as the blue blaed slices through its foes. VOOOM, VEOOMP, WOOOMP. It's quick, his movements fluid and unpredicatable, only appearing off balance to trick his enemy into what direction he might strike in. When three around him drop, he twirls the blade languidly around, looking around at the carnage. A sigh is given before he turns towards the cave.

With the fighting dying down ane five of the remaining troopers on the ground, Yuun looks around not seeing any other trooper coming but he hears Ayrn call to push forward. "Heads on swivels, we are still not done yet." he calls out to the others. He looks to the Troopers who have fallen, "For those of you who's life were taken this day, go with the Force." he says in a soft prayer. Yuun looks to everyone, "Is everyone alright, any injuries keeping you from continuing?" he asks as he survey their strike team.

There was not much nuance or pompous design with this cavernous structure. What could be constructed from prefabricated buildings and generators were, and the flooring inside was interlinked durasteel plats, complete with the red footlights the old Empire was notorious for. Dimmly light, yet finished and polished, the cavernous corridor led to a deeper atrium buried deep in the heart of this mountain.

When they came to the atrium, they were faced with an overly large tower looking over an entire cellblock of containment prefabs. Just large enough for their captives to stand in and sleep, they did not afford much space. Like Hadrix explained, there were ample bacta storage tanks and first aid, all of which were not in use given the alarm. Injured were cast back into their cells while troopers had to drop what they were doing to run outside.

Inside, a single squad remained, hunkered down behind cover while a Captain in the tower looked down upon the group as they moved inside.

The children locked in the cages began to rattle them, using what armor they'd been given, they beat the sides of their cage like war drums, wanting nothing more than to intimidate their overlords and inspire their rescuers.

"HEEEELP!" Screamed one, followed by other pleas.

<"You shall go no further."> Commented the Captain from the tower, using the intercom to speak. To drive the point home, the soldiers below raised their rifles and took their battle stance.

The markings on these troopers indicated they were the instructors; the ones who broke the children and drove them to be the soldiers the First Order needed them to be. Their masks and visors were marked by the smudge and grime of this place, but some wore the blood of their wounded trainees. All of them looked ready for battle, unwilling to back down even in the face of this incredibly intimidating team.

<<"They'll go no further... That's a line, eh Too-Too?">> SU-5521 said under the crash of the Bowcaster going off. Ducking down and getting ready to pop up to return fire. <<"Too-Too?">>

SU-5522 wasn't there anymore. Not fully. Too-One had a moment to realize that part of his compatriot was a wet splat against his armor. Head coming up he saw the Mandalorian in purple armor striding forward, re-cocking his weapon. There were sounds coming from the vocalizer.

<<"Ah no... What the hell is that?!">

Oh the children! The rattle cages, the armor, the cries for help. It stops Karys for a brief second before the shuddering anger begins to become visible in hte way she stalks forward. Sure full steps with no heed to cover. Advance. Always advance.

Each rolling step is taken as the first shot is shakey, an attempt that does not connection. <"Hadrix."> She need not say more as her 44 sweeps and its coordinating shot slams into one of them.

The next shot is again shaky has she does not adjust to the adrenaline rush. Firing is likely not to happen again as the Jedi join the fray and she starts for one of the cages.

Roth is a cold piece of stone somedays, but, children crying? That does something to the Arkanian's heart that she's not felt before. "We're working it on it babies." she states in a quiet whisper. Welp, here Roth goes a murdering again! She doesn't even care what the Captain is saying, she strikes down one of the injured guards and squares up against the next with a focus on getting their way cleared.

Ban Iskender turns an irate green eye up toward the transparisteel tower. "And yet we advance. Beware the challenges issued from the arrogance of strength, /sir/, for vulgar strength shall not long endure." The words are spoken even as blaster bolts of his comrades fly past and the Iskender with his green sword stalks forward, amaking 'sir' sound like the most dire of insults. A pair of the guards at the final threshold are cut down along with their weapons, bit the third escapes Ban's reach.

The blaster pistol in Narsai's hand is holstered smoothly, her short sword drawn from the small of her back as she leaps into the fray between the other Mando'a cutting the instructors down.

She leaps, springing past Hadrix's shoulder to slash and strike, but the last man desperately scrambles weaves and dodges the swings without Narsai leaving a mark. She wanted him dead, but perhaps fate felt the torturer deserved to know some of the fear inflicted on the children.

They arrive and honestly, Kasia is kinda out of breath from the run, but not so out of breath that she can't still focus on what's happening in front of her. Her head tilts back to look up at the tower, and what she can see of the man hidden in it, frowning. "How about you just stand down, and we can do what we came to do, you don't have to die," she shouts up to the man in the tower. Is that the truth? Maybe? She stops to gulp down a breath. "Or you can join your friends down here, which I'm sure would be a terrible shame."

There's an elegant sword attack happening in front of her, the slashing of the more civilized blade swishing around, just missing the target. Swish. The pistol in hand is raised, and she fires off one shot, which misses, flying a little too close for comfort to Narsai. "Sorry!" Not that sorry though, because she immediately fires two more shots, which actually hit the intended mark, killing the last of the guards.

<<"Looks like the rushed all their manpower outside and left a small crew in here.">> Elrych mentions, the rest of the group rushing ahead to take out the squad. The Jedi is still walking, taking his time, patience surrounding him as much as his command over the Living Force. He glances up as they enter the detention area, HUD roaming over the cell blocks litle by little until his gaze levels upon the top of the tower. HE reached out with the force to put emphasis and comand behind his following words. <<"Listen here, pal... You will surrender, come down here, and help us release these children!">>

Yuun didn't have to move in and attack at all, the others were able to do so. There wasn't more for them to do, but rescue these children. He shakes his head as he see that they were locked up in cages like animals. "Are there any door controls to release them?" he asks as he begins moving to the cages where the kids are, his lightsaber still lit and he is watching to make sure that there are no other troopers.

Cheering erupted from the cells as the group engaged the remaining Stormtroopers. Cutting them down, shooting them down, or whatever fate had awarded them in their final moments. The training regime was no more, leaving the officer concerned and staring over the consoles. When Elrych imposed upon their mind, they felt the draw of a wiser, more productive choice, and rather than confirming his order for reinforcements, he hung up the receiver and spoke over the intercom.

<"I will come down and help you free the children."> He said, having heard the command through the external intercom.

Several moments pass as the sharply dressed officer descended the stairs; no immersive lifts here! The door opened, and out he stepped. He dropped his weapon on the deck, raising his hands in defeat, ready to comply with their wishes. There was no going back to the First Order now.

Aryn deactivated her weapon and placed it on her belt. "Good work, everyone. Those with a notion for computers, follow me up the tower. We must take what holo-footage of this attack we can, and scuttle this facility. Let's move quickly. The children will join Mr. Kryll outside at the overlook, and we'll link up with the underground Resistance once we're back in the caverns."

The young doctor brushed her cape from her arm and jogged toward the tower to do just as she intended. Ugh, stairs.

Breath coming hard, Hadrix actually slumps where he stands and his bowcaster would have fallen if not for the shoulder strap. Hands to his sides. He lowers his head and his hands come up at first, resting to the sides. There is a squeal of seals opening and then closing again. Fingers clutching the beskar, flexing and then releasing before he turns.

<"Karys..."> the voice is small. A static laden whisper in his vocalizer and Hadrix actually steps to one side as if to regain balance, leaning against the wall. The t-visor of his helmet, <"Ne'Kar'ta shuke..."> looking to the cages. He's taking breaths. Shaking.

<"Kar'ika..."> his head drops again, but he remains standing with all of the stability of one who had just run a hundred kilometers in desperation.

The Captain is forgotten. There is enough fire power and jedi to take care of the problem above. This though? Karys shoves her 54 away and reaches up for her helmet. She unseals it and out tumbles her blonde hair - recently bleached. Sharp blue eyes look at the children. "Stand back." She remarks roughly to them, the look on her face possibly making them question her intent.

Her hand lifts and she shoots the first lock on the cage she gets to and then works down the line. She lets her helmet clatter ot the ground as she wrenches the cages open now that locks are useless.

Why wait for someone who put the poor souls here in the first place. She keeps moving down the line. The poignant sound of her blaster being used and then the cages being pulled open.

Roth gives a look to the Jedi and then to the kids in the cages. She goes over to start helping with things and there is a look given to Hadrix and she holds out a gauntled hand for him to grab onto, "We've got this." she tells him. "We just need to get them out of here safely now." she adds. She was following whatever the plan was though as she knew exactly dick about wiping computer files. She could read at least!

Narsai moves along the cages, a quiet figure after sheathing her blade. Of course, her gaze goes to the traumatized giant that was her fellow Mando, but she leaves him in the hands of his clansmate, instead moving towards the row of cages and offering a hand out toward one of the children with a voice slightly distorted by her helmet. <<"You're safe now...">>

The threats weren't necessary, but Kasia didn't regret having made them considering all of the kids in here in cages. Truly an appalling act, that. The blaster in her hand is shoved back into the holster as she turns to follow the man being mind-controlled into opening the doors to free the kids, then helping to direct the children on where to go, or giving comfort where it's wanted. She's a mum, she now has some practice at this.

Elrych's own blade extinguishes and the Jedi returns the fabled weapon to his belt. His cloak wraps around his torso, hiding it from view mostly. He inspects the officer, a movement of his head up and down as if scanning, before he moves past along with Aryn to help her with he 'computer minded' stuff up in the tower, leading the others to deal with the children and the surrendered officer. Perhaps he'll see the error of his ways and joing the 'good fight'

Yuun smiles as he hears the cheers of the children, he doesn't clip his lightsaber to his belt. He walks around keeping an eye on things. Luckily the remaining troopers surrendered though the affects of the Force is persuasive. He didn't feel bad about doing this, the First Order taking children to continue supplying their armies, this had to stop. He sighs a little, he walks over to the cages, and he speaks with the children letting them know they are safe and they will be getting them out.
