The Gathering Force I

OOC Date: October 08, 2018
Location: Arisnar
Participants: Jedi Order: Jax Greystorm, Jonn Drayson, Rey, Syrus, Zandra naMuriel, Yuun, and Elrych Cometburn

Elrych Cometburn was here because there waas a meeting called. He didn't call it and he wasn't sure who did, but the Force was pushing him to be there. There had been whispers the last time he visited Kafrene of those who could use the force and the mistreatment of them. He sits at the conference table, his leg tapping up and down as a nervous tick. He waits for others to arrive to he can impart some information on them.

First in, best dressed, Papa Jonn Drayson. The Action Hero was bursting at the seams of his robes again. It was arm day, you see, and last time he had to do physical activity after arm day, he threw someone at a button and then flexed so hard his fiber jumpsuit sleeves came apart at the seams. How did he fit into robes designed for people smaller than he? "I am hyeah!" he boomed, skidding into the meeting room with a modicum of pace, skidding because when you're a heavy man coming to a complete stop is not the easiest task.

Yuun is walking in as well, he stretches out a little bit as he walks in. Moving easily, Yuun has been here training a lot, also going into the city to use his force training to hide his presence. He's been feeling the stirring of the Force, it's been going for a little bit now. Still here he is and he sits down at the table.

Jax wasn't dressed in his robes but dressed like a corellian smuggler. The man walks in with the rest of the group and makes his way to set at one of the chairs of the table but not at either end. "Elrych, Yunn, Jonn." He says dropping into the chair looking relaxed.

Zan is here and there, almost like a butterfly with her flitting about. Today she is here, quietly. She steps in, dressed like a pilot, as she has never yet been seen wearing those robes. Maybe she never will be? Hard to say. "Hello everyone," she says softly before she settles into a seat, glancing around to see what all is going on. "Seems we have a good crowd today."

Elrych Cometburn looks to Jonn, Yuun, and then Zandra and Jax as they all come in. He's in his robes, having come earlier to get in some training with the remote himself. "Hey guys... Do you know who called this meeting? I didn't do it." He probably did. "Listen... you all hear anything off of Kafrene about folk like us who might need a hand. Listen, I was there the other day and some some really strange stuff going on."

"You will haf to dehfine straynge," said Jonn, collapsing into one of the chairs in the hall. It groaned in pain. Ordinary chairs could not hold Jonn Drayson's form. "Because dere are a lahd of straynge tings going ohn ladely," he added, rubbing a bicep which had not quite recovered from the blasting it had received in the work room earlier.

Yuun looks at everyone waving to to Zan, he offers her a smile. Than he looks to Jax, "Hello Jax." he bows his head. He gets comfortable, though when Elrych brings up what he found out about Kafferine. Quirking a brow and just listens.

Jax shrugs, "I didn't call it. I've been to Kafrene before. It's makes Nar Shaddaa look like Naboo but that's all been a while back." The Corellian shrugs, "And as Jonn said, you might define weird?" He reaches up to scratching his beared chin.

Zan frowns for a bit, thinking. "I've ony been to Kafrene really to deliver cargo. Don't usually stay there long, honestly. So, I guess, I'm one of those who should be paying more attention when there? But it's been quite a while since I've delivered cargo there."

Syrus Volo has a bad habit of disappearing from the Academy for long stretches of time. It is his way. It is likely expected of him at this point. He returns, however, when the Force wills it. The Force has done so today. The large (slightly taller than even Jonn), dark-skinned man walks into the Meeting Hall and offers a nod to the gathered group, before he makes his way to an open chair and takes a seat. Sliding his satchel from his shoulder, he settles in and will now attempt to discern just what is being discussed.

Elrych Cometburn nods to Zandra, "See that's what I'm talking about. That's the only reason I was there too. I was... looking around, waiting around. You know? Killing time. I went into a bar for a drink and started talking to some people. Apparently there's a /bunch/ of force users hiding out in the deeper, poorer parts of the station. I heard some terrible things like them being used for slave labour and treated as third and fourth class citizens."

Uh oh. "Foahse users?" asked Jonn rhetorically, not quite believing what he heard. It was a shock to the system. He sincerely thought they were all here. "Den we haf to get daaaaun dere," he said, quietly. The Paladin of the Order, always wanting to step in to help. "Foahse users oah naahd, we cannot allow dis to continyoueh."

Jax considers for a moment but takes a moment to offer Syrus a smile and nod in way of greeting. He turns back to the group, "DId you see any of these people? It could be a trap to lure us out by the First Order or Bounty Hunters after our bounty. I say we should look into this but with caution."

Zan glances over as Syrus arrives, nodding her head. "I am willing to head over there and look around?" she says. "Maybe bring some cargo so that there's an excuse to be there. What are we looking for though, any ideas?"

Elrych Cometburn shakes his head, "I didn't see anyone this time around. I mean, they told me where I could find them but I thought of it being a trap." He nods to Jonn, "Aye we need to do something. At least try and see what's up. It sounded legitimate at the very least. Well... as legitimate as it could be." He looks between everyone gathered. "So... how do you all want to handle this. I'm up for heading over there and investigating but we gota be careful. No robes or anything."

"Wid caushun," Jonn agreed, nodding along with Elrych's sentiment. "We can go in as civilians. Disguise our lightsaybers. Low profile." Not that Jonn Drayson could keep a low profile but hey, he'd try. He'd put a towel over his head. Get your ass to Kafrene, and all that. "And den if it is truh, we break dem auhd."

Finally getting comfortable, Syrus slides the hood of his robes back and looks at the gathered individuals. He ruminates on something and says, "As Jax said, we'd be liable to join their ranks if we're not careful." He pauses and thinks on it some more. "If this is public knowledge; the kind of thing that's talked about in a spacer's bar...why hasn't the First Order moved on the station yet?"

Yuun had been listening, he hasn't been to the planet in question so for now he just takes in the information being spoken by the others. Leaning back in his seat just taking his time to figure out what he can do to help in tis situation.

Jax Greystorm shakes his head, "Wait, are you suggesting we all go investigate? There are strength in numbers but the more of us moving around the more we're uncovered and caputred. I would hate to see the order fall over a rumor. If we can confirm the situation then we can tip our hand a bit. I'll do anything needed of me and don't mind putting myself at risk." He nods in agreement with Syrus.

Elrych Cometburn looks between everyon, responding to Jax and Syrus mostly. "Well then you need to decide who gets to go if we're going to keep our numbers low. Probably should be more experiance folks like yourselves." He shrugs, "Why isn't the First Order there? I'm not sure they're not in some capacity. It's possible, counter intel trying to confirm just like us. They might think it's a Ressistance trap themselves. OR these force users are valuble to the people they're being held by."

Zan leans back, and listens, letting the others all speak up. "There are definitely some of us with more experience on things like that. But it might be good to maybe have a couple groups go at different times? So we're not all there at once, but we might find out different information?"

Jonn Drayson was deep in thought. This was a complicated situation. Of course he wanted to help. That's what he did. The shield of the Order was at his best defending people. But this called for a skillset he had long since lost. Stealth, investigation. He was good at talking. He sold computers for a living after all. But he wasn't exactly the least distinctive person here. "Yehs," said Jonn quietly. "Jax, as ourh stealt expyert, should go in fyerst. Read der sityuation. Den, we follow trough wid a plan when we have infohmaytion."

Clearing his mind for a moment. Yuun looks at the gathered Jedi here, "I would suggest two Knights and a Padawan, that should be the smallest group we can afford to send. I would suggest Jax, Rey and Zandra, myself or Elrych. I would suggest out of the more experienced people going, to pick one non-experienced Jedi to come. This is a good way for us to learn, and what was done back during the Old Republic. Also it would make sense, while the rest of us stay here alert and ready just in case something happens."

Jax laughs at the mention of him being the stealth expert. "Only next to you Jonn but thanks for the compliment. Zan speaks the truth and provides us with a frame work of a recon plan." He listens to Yunn, "There is merit to your team Yunn. I would suggest two teams of a jedi and a learner each. But teams of two or three. Keep Rey out of this. She would cause a firestorm."

Zan is no stealth expert by far, but she is a trader. "I think two teams are good," she says softly. She grins at the comment about the firestorm though, shaking her head. "I don't know who should be in the teams, and it might also make sense to have someone in orbit in a ship, keeping an eye on things."

"I would likely be a hinderance in an investigation," remarks Syrus, matter of factly. "Especially one of a...stealthy type." It's really hard to hide a 6'3" man, to be honest.

Elrych Cometburn looks between everyone, "Listen... you can pick between Yuun and Zan. I'll head over and set us up a place to stay so we can work more effectivly. A safehouse. It may not be glamourous but it'll allow us to work and investigate this further. Just figure out who's on the two teams and what each teams goal will be." From the central corridor the doorway opens and in steps the young Rey, she's carrying with her a folded up dark brown exterior robe that is laying over both of her forearms held in front of her stomach. As she arrives inside the room she lets her eyes scan over the faces of everyone present and she moves to find a place to stand that is out of the way.

Some of what the others is caught, and she seems to be internally trying to catch up before she asks. "Is this with regard to the situation on Kafrene?" She asks then. "Kafrene is a... mining colony?" She hadn't had time to research the location, and lately she's had trouble finding information on all the random places within this vast galaxy.

"I'm happy to go with whomever believes they could use my assistance. I'd do my very best to keep storms of fire at a bare minimum as well." She shows the hint of a grin then, but it flickers and fades away rather quickly.

Yuun nods to Rey and waves to her. "Hello Rey." he says in greeting. Looking to Jax, than the others, "Well we don't want to have everyone be there, we should have a few on standby just in case." he says as he looks to Zan and Jax seeing what their thoughts are, he does look to the other Jedi as well. He smiles to Rey as she adds her input, "Jax didn't want you to go just yet I think. This is about th Kafrene." he answers.

"A safe house is good." Jax turns his chair as Rey steps in. "If you're sure Rey. This is a lawless minning colony. It makes Nar Shaddaa look nice. I would suggest not announcing you are you and perhaps some type of disguise. That being said. I would suggest first team doing recon and making contact with the group. If that pans out, second team making contact and planning an extraction with the group leaders. We have to prove our intent to them as much as they do to us."

Elrych Cometburn looks to Rey and smiles, "Hey Rey Rey... you okay? Heard you had a tough mission without me. You should remember not to forget me next time." He winks to the girl of similar age to him before he pushes back and stands from his seat at the conferance table. "Alright, Jax. That sounds Solid. I'll head over there now and get to work. I'll holonet you all the details once it's all set up and I'll keep my ear to the ground."

Rey regards the others with a soft smile and a nod to each one of them, but its Elrych's comments that draws her attention ultimately. She shows him a soft smirk. "I was asked last minute. I didn't even have my starfighter with me at the time, so I had to fly in one of Black group's. And it would seem that Poe... has asked us both to join his group now. He wants our aide with missions. He suffered quite an injury in that run, it was... a terrible fight. But we achieved our goal, ultimately."

She looks around at the others then and dips her chin softly once. "I won't go if I'd be endangering the rest of you. I wouldn't want to do that, or have such an ill effect on the rest of you. I just... you know, want to help where I can."

Zan eyes Rey and she smiles. "I suspect you will be just fine, though that idea of disguise is not a bad one for all of us. I mean, at least so we're not easily identifiable." She looks over at Elrych and then she nods. "I guess that sounds like a plan?"

Jax smirks, "Zan and Rey, You two should team up and go in as the first team. Zan can you help Rey with a disguise? If not, I know somebody who can. I just will have to pry her away from her duties and being scary to Resistance troops. I'll take Yuun with me when we do the meet? Teams will check in and out of Elrych's safe house. Sounds like a plan?"

Yuun listens to the plans and he nods his head at Jax ideas of teams. "Alright, that should be fine." he says as he looks to the other Jedi. He looks to Rey and smiles, "Honestly we would like to have you. Honestly it's been great learning from all of you."

"Is there any way that I can be of use?" Syrus finally asks, sitting up in his chair and resting his hands on his legs. His dark eyes move around the gathered council, awaiting an answer.

Elrych Cometburn looks to Syrus as he starts towards the door, "Sure... you can come along with me. I'm leaving shortly." He stops by Rey and puts a hand on her upperarm in a comforting way. He leans in and whispers something to her with a smirk, chuckles and then makes the rest of his way out. "I'll see you guys on Kafrene."

Rey offers a smirk to Elrych on his way out and she then gives a look to Syrus, the first member to this new Jedi Order that she and Leia had recruited. "Be careful if you do go." She tells him, then looks after Elrych. "Both of you. If the place truly is as dangerous as it sounds, then there's any number of individuals who'll turn all of us in for a quick credit, not just me."

She then looks to Zandra then and offers her a light nod. "Which won't happen of course, because we're amazing." She flashes a quick grin then and steps out of the way of the door so anyone departing won't have to move around her.

"You, too, Rey," the big man tells the smol girl. Syrus moves to stand and reaches to lift his rucksack. Hefting it onto his shoulder, he turns to make his way toward the door.
