Jedi Order: Echoes Through the Ages VIII

OOC Date: April 4, 2020
Location: EZ-34267, Exploration Zone, Expansion Region
Participants: Ban Iskender, Elrych Cometburn, Zandra naMuriel, Yuun, Rey, Aryn Cole

The Rainstorm, a Helix Light Interceptor, emerged from hyperspace in a sudden flash of blue. White impulse engines came to life and carried the ship closer to the sapphire blue and emerald green world known only as EZ-34267. This was just beyond the expanse region, in what was deemed by New Republic space authority as the Exploration Zone. The Rainstorm begins to enter the atmosphere, shaking slightly from the pressure.

The Jedi had already discussed their mission; the rescue of whatever was left of the explorer students, and to investigate the allegations of a peaceful tribe gone murderous. They land near the beacon's signal, setting down in a small clearing surrounded by tall pine. Snow covers the ground here and the air is heavy with chill.

Aryn Cole disembarks the ship, stepping down the ramp while talking to her gloved hand (comm-link). <<"Cedar, you got the ship. Lock the hatch once we're all off.">> The bb unit warbled back over the comms, acknowledging. "Beacon signal isn't far. If we head north of here, we'll find its source." Aryn indicates to the others, pointing toward the treeline through the drifting snow.

Ban Iskender emerges from the Rainstorm and into the snowy forest. "Pleasant terrain, at least. I'm reminded of the woods overlooking Bastion," he notes idly, before exhaling his warm breath in a cloud of mist. "Alas that this day will not be so fair." Checking his weapons again, the soldier in grey and green starts northward with the others as Aryn points the way.

Elrych makes his way down the ramp not long after Ban and Ary, his robes swaying with movement. Shades protect against the glare of the sun or moon as it reflects off the white snow. his breath comes out like steam as he breaths evenly, the force surging through him. He turns back to his droid, Eggsy, "Stay with Cedar, bud... just in case, yeah." Turning back around he puts his hands on his hips, bitting his bottom lip. "Nope... usually never ends well either..." He compliments Ban before moving along himself.

Zan comes off the Rainstorm following Elrych quietly. She glances over as he comments on the terrain, and then looks over at Elrych, a slight smile crossing her face. "Over towards the beacon, then?" She steps out of the way, glancing back at the ship ramp, and then says, "Do you think it will get colder?" She takes a look around, tucking her hands in her robes.

Yuun had slept during the trip, here and there as they made their way. He walks down the ramp following the others, his robes closed around him as he moves. The dark skinned Jedi Initiate looks to his friends a small smile shows on his face, he is about to say something so he stops waiting on the others.

The Bastion comment earns a small smile from Aryn, who pauses a moment to look also. The whisper of pine trees and soft sound of snow made it easy to overlook the lack of fauna sounds like avians or other small creatures. "I'm not sure, Zandra. It could get colder." Aryn shares a look with the pilot before turning back ahead to walk with Elrych, Yuun, and Ban.

Crunch, crunch, crunch.. through the snow they go. When they arrive at a makeshift camp, they find the tall canvas tents in a poor state. Shredded canvas flaps in the wind, and research equipment is strewn about everywhere with containers open and datapads cast everywhere. The beacon they were tracking was stabbed into the ground like an upright, tall, with a small satellite dish broadcasting.

Aryn kneels down by some of blood on the snow, brushing her cape back to pull out a small scanner. "Hmm.. let's look around.. there might be other clues.."

Ban Iskender marches through the snow straight-backed toward the goal. Upon reaching the camp, his first look is into the trees around them, more wary of ambush than eager to investigate, at first. When his green regard does turn to the remains of the researchers' camp, he finds a small, unused crate, drawing out one of several light blaster pistols. "A crate of DL-21 pistols. Stun only, not a one has seen use," he summarizes upon inspecting the pistol, replacing it in the crate before his head cants to an angle, eyes narrow. "Riders approach- I cannot tell from whence." He looks out into the trees again, sword hilt taken into his hand, but unlit as the young soldier rises from his crouch.

Elrych Cometburn nods to Ban reguarding the hooves creatures, "I her it too..." But there is something else that catches his attention. A mechanical whine causes him to turn his head towards the beacon. There rests a security camera which turns towards him. He leans to the side, appraching it slowly. "Someone is watching the next Epusode of I, Jedi..." He pulls his black and gold saber from his belt but does not ignight it.

Zan is towards the end of the group, but she too makes it to the camp. A deep breath as she reaches for the force, letting it flow through and with her. "We're not alone." She looks over to Ban as he finds the crate of pistols, frowning slightly. And then as he speaks, she spins in a slow circle, pausing to look in one direction. "They sound like they're all around us," she says, and then she shakes her head. "But they're not. It feels like - whatever it is, it's not malicious." She spins one more time, still attuned to the Force and listening both physically and mentally. "That way," she says softly, looking in one particular direction quite seriously.

Yuun looks around them, his mind needing to focus but his ears does prick up a little bit, "Yeah I agree, we have company." he says in a low tone, he's not reached for his weapon. He keeps close with the group and he his eyes begin moving around trying to track what his ears are picking up.

Rey had lagged behind the others, partly to let them take the lead on this and partly because she was observing the situation from afar, but when the presence of others drawing near became more clear through the Force she started to work her way closer toward them. With hooded jacket on over her blue hued garments, she becomes visible to the other Jedi initiates, hanging on the perimeter yet still though she turns her eyes from right to left as she walks closer yet still to her companions and friends at a casual pace with her arms around her waist holding her jacket closed as though she's nothing more than a simple winter wilderness hiker and little else.

When Zandra points out the spot where she suspects the riders will arrive, Aryn leaves Elrych's side to stand out in the open. Zandra mentioned that she was not detecting any dangerous intent, and that was enough to stay Aryn's hand away from her weapon.

Before anything can really be said, the first rider emerges, followed by another, then more, and after a few seconds, some twenty riders have happened upon the group and begin to ride in a circle.

They are all human, or something close to it, wearing garments of green and armor of bronze and silver. Their animals are tall, and not unlike those General Finn had taken out across his charge across a Star Destroyer. They all carry lances, armed with a secondary weapon of sword. It seems medieval in nature, but it became clear that /this/ was the primitive society.

Some sort of trumphet sounds, and the riders quit circling, and face inboard, lowering their lances. A single rider emerges, and appears to be the only holding a sword. He removes his helmet. "Who among this rabble speaks the common tongue of those from the sky?!" Commanding, older, and with peppered grey hair, this man seemed like a seasoned rider and a dangerous combatant.

One of the soldiers on a steed whispers near Ban. "You suppose these are the Knights come to answer like the times of old?"-- "Quiet, for they'll hear."

"We all speak this tongue, sir. Why have you surrounded us?" Aryn asks, stepping forward.

"Those who came before you, who lived here in this camp, stole something sacred to my people and now they mean to take it to the stars with them. I cannot allow them to leave. Not until our artifact is returned."

"We are no common rabble that comes before you, goodly sirs," Ban answers the unhelmed leader of the native cavalry, his own manner solemn and stern in kind. "It is neither our desire nor nature to steal from your people; if you will but name this sacred property, I vow to you that we shall do all in our power to see it safely restored, asking only in turn that the lives of those who have trespassed be spared, and taken from here, in our care."

Elrych Cometburn purses his lips, looking to the riders as they gallop in. "Sky language... the hell... is that the Language of the sky road? Hell I know a Houk who can help you out..." He stands there though not sure what else to say. "We are the best to handle the situation"

Zan steps to the side, letting Ban and Aryn do the talking for now. She grins at Elrych, and then adds, "I think that's the normal language we usually speak."

Yuun stands back and just watches, keeping quiet in amusement. As they are circled by the incoming riders, he looks to the beasts and for some reason he has a calling towards the beasts, it's weird for that feeling to come over him, he feels the force all around them and as Aryn speaks to the leader of the group of Calvery, Yuun looks over to one of the closest animals, "Hello." he smiles to the creature.

Rey continues to lift her knees as she walks through the heavy packed snow, telling herself that she loves these cold world and that she doesn't at all miss the hot sands of where she grew up, it's important that she experiences new things--even these snowy regions of far away places! One step after another, only coming to a slower step when the mounted soldiers start to encircle she and the others.

She keeps walking at a casual pace toward the other Jedi as she looks back over her shoulder and makes eye contact with one of the lance-holding men, glaring at him as he glares right back at she. But when Aryn speaks out to them she looks toward the Alderaanian, then toward the one who speaks back. Rey comes to a halt near to the other Jedi and keeps her hooded coat closed around her form, the light winds billowing her loose clothing out at her side.

Rey's brown eyed stare goes to Ban then when he speaks up as well, she listens to his response to the riders, along with Elrych's and she glances back again to the one on the horse who seems to lead this mounted patrol.

The man atop the beast looks from little Aryn to the taller Ban, then Elrych and Zandra, and finally to Yuun. When Rey joins the group, her silence is noted from the rider, but he turns his attention back to Ban. "If it is your desire to help us, then we are not enemies." He holds up a fist, and the lances are raised. "I do not care where you take these people. They are holed up in the Knights of Old Ruins. My people have them surrounded, and every attempt to bring them out has ended in violence. They use dangerous weapons.. similar to what you wear, sir." He points at Ban's blaster.

"We can take you to the ruins, but we cannot follow you into the ruins. It is sacred ground, and I dare not shed more blood than what's already been spilled." The rider urges his beast forward a few steps. "I am called Lesh, I am the Captain of these riders. We are, all of us, sworn Knights, committed to the Way of Peace, the Way of Balance. Ride with us, and let us be done with this business." He offers a gloved hand down to Rey and manages a charming smile. His intent is to help her up on his steed. "What say you?"

Ban Iskender hears out Lesh's answer, with a short bow of the head an shoulders. "I am glad to hear this, as we-" a gesture of his gloved hand includes the other Jedi, "Are Knights-Aspirant to an ancient Order similarly devoted to Balance. I am Ban Iskender, and though I do not lead this number, I daresay we would all welcome your guidance to these sacred ruins." A glance aside to the others, beginning with Aryn and ending on Rey, if they wish to speak otherwise.

Elrych Cometburn places his saber back on his belt before placing hands on hips. "Yes... what Ban said." clears his throat.

Yuun looks to the animal and bows to the rider, he turns and looks to Lesh as he offers them sanctuary towards the ruins. Aryn and Ban have spoken enough for all of them for now he feels. Yuun does look toward Rey as she appears beside them, he bows his head towards her and he watches Elrych as he puts away his lightsaber. "Ready when you are Sir Lesh." he smiles.

Rey's eyes move between her group and the leader of the riders. She nods once toward what Ban says before she finally speaks up. "We're seekers of knowledge." She adds. "We're here to help, if we can help. So yes, please, we are grateful for your lead on this."

The offered hand is realized what the implications are, Rey's never been on a creature like that... but it has to be similar to a landspeeder right? Can't be that different. "Ah. Right." She says then before her hand comes up to take the kindly offered one from the gentleman rider.

Once on the mount Rey looks over to the others. "This should get us there faster than trudging through the snow, I should say." She glances to the one who'd brought her up onto his mount with him.

Each rider has their animal step forward and offer gloved hands to the Jedi. Lesh, who has helped Rey on his mount, speaks to her, and the group nearest. "Our Orders are not unlike. When this violence is behind us, we should speak more. If you're the Knights of Old, there is much I wish to learn from you."

Aryn grunts as she's pulled onto a beast near Rey. She smirks, meeting the other woman's gaze, before she's pulled along and nearly falls off! Her arms wrap around her rider. "Soorrryyy!" She says in a bouncy voice, her cape taking flight in her wake.

They ride quick through the woods, ducking beneath branches and following foot paths driven into the snow already. Captain Lesh leads from the front, knowing the path like he's followed it his entire life. When they make past the clearing, it's to a wonderous view. A massive crystal blue hued palace looms in the distance, surrounded by stone walls, and tall houses of stoon with metal rooves. Not nearly as primitive as one might have thought. "Wow..." Aryn says.

The ruins lie beyond the city, in a clearing long ago made by the crash of a massive colony vessel. Parts of the hull still stick out of the ground, covered in rust and age. The vessel is named Barsen'thor. Those who have the insight of the Order's history may recognize both the vessel and the name to have meaning with the Jedi Order. Barsen'thor was Cerean for Warden of the Order, and the ship was similar in design to the old ruined Chu'unthor, the old Praxeum ship of the Jedi lost to the wilds of Dathomir!

Its hull has been split, the largest opening just beneath the Old Republic's Jedi Order's old emblem, marking it for the Explorers sect. Outside the ship, and patrolling a specific sector, are old orange and red Republic battle droids. They march back and forth, their heads beacons of yellow light, scanning.

"We can go no further, Knights. These foes go unharmed by our weapons. We would only be in the way."

Aryn drops down from her ride, and has to fix her trousers before unhooking her lightsaber. "No worries, Sir Lesh. These foes are our speciality." She activates the lightsaber with a SNAP-HISS noise that draws the eyes of the warriors around them. Whispers follow the presence of the humming weapon. Things are said like 'it's true.' 'Knights of old.' Aryn, looking back to the others, she smiles. "Well, shall we?"

Ahead, 20 droids march, unknowing of the Jedi presence.

Ban Iskender descends from the back of a horse with a word of thanks to the rider, surveying the wreck of the colossal ship, ignorant of its nature. Besides, there are droids to be dealt with. Lighting his own white-bladed swordas he moves to advance beside Aryn. "We shall,"he agrees with a tight smile in return.

Elrych stumbles off his horse, not really having been much of a rider or having experiance in it. He prefered the comfortable seating of a land or air-speeder. Though, on back country worlds such as this it was a luxury if not a complete rarity to come by. So he made do, gripping tight to the tall hooved creature and not falling down. He gazes around, brows raising in wonder at the sight of the city. Even more interest as they come upon the ruins and the active battle droids. "This ship... I've read about this ship in the texts back on Arisnar... This... How can those droids even be active." As Aryn and Ban ready to advance on the ruins, Elrych draws his own blade yet again, ignighting the deadly blue beam wich squeals to life and humms lowly.

Zan takes an offered hand, smiling her thanks, and bounces along with the others as they ride to the temple. "Thank you," she says as she dismounts. She wobbles a bit, and then takes a couple steps. Then she pauses to look to Elrych, listening. A nod to Aryn, and her lightsaber as well is raised. Old nasty droids? They're wonderful targets, really.

Yuun takes the offered hand and rides with his rider. He rubs the beasts hide as he is given a ride, "Whoa now this is pretty fun." he says to his rider. Though he does make note to lower his head as they ride so that they weren't getting hit, a smile shows on his face as he rides and once they are done, he hops off the best and he rubs his butt ok, his ass hurts a little, but he could learn to ride. He walks up to the others, he stretches out a little bit. "I too have read the texts on the ship." he says. "Though for now we must prepare ourselves." he moves to take point, his hand goes to his lightsaber, unlclipping it from his belt and activating the blade. "We work together to take them down, they may be old, they may be droids any of us can be shot. We can do this." he says.

Along their ride, Rey shares her name with the Captain and a few stories about their party's exploits together. They both seem equally impressed with one another's group and the various info bits that get shared, but by the time they reach their destination the destination itself is so distracting that Rey falls mostly silently as she looks upon it.

The droids are noticed, noted, and a light breath is taken. She looks over to Aryn and they others as they dismount and draw weapons. "Perhaps someone is here, maintaining them." Rey offers as she to dismounts, and offers a nod and a thank you to Lesh before she's on the ground and reaching for the cloth bag hanging at her hip, beneath it is her saber clipped to her leather belt around her waist.

Rey doesn't activate her saber just yet, she steps over to her companions. "Be mindful of what lies ahead. Remember that the droids are but tools, possibly working for a greater threat." She tells them all. "Reach out with your senses, be ready for more to this than what merely meets our eyes here." She tries to offer them all guidance.

"Understood, Rey." Then Lesh speaks up. "These creatures emerged from their hibernation when our visitors got inside the ruins. We have tried to get inside, but we cannot make it by their number." He motions with his hand toward the droids.

Aryn moves off to one side, prepared to attack the droids there!

Ban Iskender strides forward, glowing white sword held upright at guard in front of him, offering a habitual salute before lunging onto the attack! Though he defends himself well, the nobleman is unable to strike down any of the archaic automatons.

"Right, keeping the feelers out..." Elrych says in responce to Rey. Then, the Jedi ace strikes, striding forward along side ban. His first strike is a smooth and quick swipe upwards. The brilliant blue of his blade leaving a streak of light as it cuts through the droid. Twirling, Elrych's movements are loose and relaxed, much like they were when he was fighting Syrus... almost like a staggering drunk but with purpose. THe blad slides into the center of a second droid, before he pulls it free and lunges towards a thrid who is able to move out of the way. "Oh-ho ho. I bet it's that fella using the camera back at the campsite... who wants to put credits down?"

Although these are not the first droids that they have faced, Zan takes a spot, her green lightsaber ignited and ready to defend as much as attack. She sets herself to swing, and misses with her first swing, a little wild. Perhaps she is a little discombobulated by the whole thing, including the horse ride. Her second and third swings however do a much better job of slicing through metal.

Yuun bows his head, "Understood Rey." he says as he glances over to Rey. He looks to the others, "Do your best to keep one another covered." he says as he too moves towards the battle droids. He moves with Zandra as they move to attack. He brings his blade in for a thrust, but he slips on the snow which causes him to miss his first strike. Stepping down harder, he spins and tries to bisect the droid again he slips on the snow. Still this doesn't make Yuun falter. The dark skinned Jedi Initiate has more experience and focusing on the terrain and his movements, he cleaves the droid in a back-handed arc. Dropping the droid, he looks to where the others are and where the heaviest of the fighting is, as he does so, he is hit by a blaster bolt, he grunts, he focuses on the force to help dampen the pain and stops the damage, as two more bolts come at him, Yuun's blue flashing blade intercepts the bolts away from him.

Rey watches the Initiates rush forward and into action with their blades lit. She draws in a breath of cold air and with her unlit saber in her right hand she takes her blaster out in the other and starts to fire it at some of the Droids rushing to intercept the Jedi students.

aeaeaeaeaeae X Droid Blown up!

aeaeaeaeaeae X Another Droid Blows up!

aeaeaeaeaeae >O - A droid is shot! It buzzes angrily!

Rey starts forward at a slightly faster than casual pace, her blaster aimed up and leveled after firing those shots! They've cut their way through half of the droids so far, but there's yet many left. "Watch each other!" Shes houts after the others. "Keep it up! They're falling fast!"

Aryn moves forward, exposing her arm more from beneath her cape, casting the material back before twirling the blade fluidly at her side and spinning. She slices through a droid, then spins to cut down a second. When the conclusion of her attack unfolds as a miss, her lightsaber WHMMMPHS by its chest as it takes a measured step back to fire at Aryn.

Aryn leans one way, moving her shoulder just before the shot released and blazed past her, sparking against a tree nearby resulting in a branch falling. She looks back at the droid.

10 remain! 1 Is malfunctioning, but still moving around saying the same thing over again. 'Error. Error. Error. Error.'

Ban Iskender charges the droid that had fired on the nearby Aryn, making a swing downward slash across the torso housing, drawing back with the stunsaber sparking against the droid's armored shell, before extending in a follow up thrust impaling it. Jerking the blade hardtop one side before pulling it free, he returns to guard. "On your left," he informs Lady Cole.

Elrych slips behind some of the wreckage as a pair of droids turn their guns on him, their bolts slamming into the metal instead of him. He appears on the other side, closer to Zandra. Quickly he lunges forwards, a bolt that was meant for the purple haired near-human slamming into his blade in a brillian flash before deflecting back and off into the sky harmlessly. Pressing forward his humming sword slices quickly and skillfully into two more droids, taking them down.

Of course the droids do fire back, it's inevitable. Zan manages to dodge one, but she gets nearly hit by a shot, only Elrych's quick thinking saving her. It still throws her off her stride a bit, and she finds that she's not moving quite as fast, allowing the droids to get out of her way. Still, she slashes at one, hitting it hard enough that it whirs to a dtop and topples over.

Yuun sees where the others are, and to Yuun it feels like he senses everything around him, or not everything, but he's getting a feeling of it. That awareness comes and goes from time to time, still he moves towards a group of battle droids, the glowing blue blade spins in a quick arc as he slices through one droid cutting it in half, he spins and thrusts towards another, but the droid is able to side step away and tries to bring it's weapon down to fire at him. Yuun leaps up and over the droid, he spins in mid-air and slashes through the droid landing lightly on his feet. "Don't move to far ahead of one another stagger and move so to defend one another." he says.

Rey is working her way closer to the droids and the other Jedi, she watches the one she'd injured but not taken down turn and fire upon Yuun and before it can strike the man in his back, she slides across the ground and activates her lightsaber's golden beam to direct the blade up and sweep it in front of the bolt, to send it right back to the droid! The metal man is hit by its own shot and it goes flying backward in a pile of sparking metal debris.

Turning around now, Rey glares past her comrades to the remaining handful of machines left on the field of broken robotic debris. Acknowledging Lord Ban with a thankful nod, Aryn turns toward two other droids, missing her first swing, but following up with a fanciful swing, then a stab. When she pulls the blade free, the sparking husk stumbles to its knee joints before toppling over. She spins the blade before returning to her resting stance, her feet aligned and prepared to step off to attack again.

All the remains is the malfunctioning droid, which has adopted a slow walking circuit, repeating "Error. Error. Error." Until Sir Lesh emerges from the treeline and strikes it hard with his sword, hitting precisely where Rey had struck it with her blaster. The automaton keeled over, and the other Knights joined Lesh in bashing the droid with sword and mace.

An intercom on the ship's speaker sounds then, and a young man's voice is heard.

<"Thank the Goddess you all answered this old beacon. I couldn't leave because the droids were set to shoot /anyone/. I was here with a research party. Someone by the name of Kier.. and Lana.. led us here searching for artifacts. Sadly, they've gotten away, but I know what they've taken.. and I think I know where they're going. Please.. don't let the good Knights kill me. I'm.. I'm a student, I never wanted any part of this theft.">

Aryn's face loses a bit of color as she draws her lightsaber blade back to her hilt. Going uncharacteristically quiet, her hands come together, fidgeting.

Elrych watches the droid with a raised brow right up until Lesh comes over and finishes it. Turning towards the intercom, Aryn's change in demeanor doesn't go unnoticed. "Familiar names, Aryn?" The corellian asks, shutting down his blade and replacing it on it's spot on his belt. "Well... It's safe to come out now. Why don't you tell us what you know and we'll see what we can do to help."

Zan shuts down her lightsaber and puts it away as well. She tilts her head, but since Elrych asked The Question, she simply waits to see what comes up next. For the moment, the fight is over, there is some poor student who is rescued, and who knows what tomorrow will bring. "I suppose it's safe to say things just get more and more interesting, isn't it?" A shrug and then, "Thank you, Elrych."

Yuun looks around and as he does he lowers his weapon after a short moment, making sure there was no other droids around them and to make sure they were all ok. Once he feels that they are and can see that they are indeed clear. Yuun deactivates his weapon and clips it to his belt. He looks to Rey, "Thank you Rey for the save, I appreciate that." he smiles and bows his head to her.

Rey's eyes spin around to land on the Riders as they come to bash the ever living Force out of that last remaining malfunctioning droid. She watches them take great satisfaction out of it too, which indicates they've fought--and possibly lost--to these things before.

The activator on her saber is thumbed, it spins and the blade glides back down into the dark metal hilt of Rey's saber, what used to be her quarterstaff. Captain Lesh gets a soft nod from Rey, who's hood has fallen back off of her head now, but her eyes leave the good Captain when the voice speaks up.

Rey's stare looks around for the source of the voice, but when it's deemed to be coming from the ship itself she just stares upon it. "More than meets the eye." Rey quietly says after the plea. She looks to the Captain. "We need to help whoever that is."

At the rest of her companions, she nods to them. "Well done. Lets find out who that is now, shall we?"

A nod and a smile is often to Yuun. "We're here to make sure we don't get injured, right? It's time to become better at this, more unified as a team."

"We're not going to harm you." Answers the voice of Captain Lesh, who has a fresh bit of sweat on his brow. He takes hold of his scabbard with one hand and guides his sword home in a single motion. "Walk safely from our ruins. These Knights mean to take you; I encourage you to honor your word and tell them all you know." Lesh has come to stand beside Rey, glancing her way to nod.

Aryn answers Elrych. "Yes. From D'Qar. Let us hear the student's words first." Aryn offers before hooking her lightsaber back to her belt. Lesh glances at all of them. "It is true what they said in the tales and legends. Your Order is full of magnificent warriors! With glowing blades, no less. Truly remarkable. Come, my friends. We'll find warmth back in our town, and your new friend can share his part in this."

The student that comes out is a young looking man with long hair. He is thin, not at all a fighter, and wears big glasses he has to push back up the bridge of his nose. "I'm Dar." He said. "I.. uh..I arrive in peace." He brings his hands up, managing a geeky smile.
