The Jedi Order help out Elrych's half sister, Pyretta, confront her father.

OOC Date: March 09, 2020
Location: Susevfi (Suarbi 7) -- Suarbi System -- Quence Sector -- Outer Rim Territories
Participants: Jedi Order: Rey, Yuun, Zandra naMuriel, Aryn Cole, Ban Iskender, and Elrych Cometburn

The only habitable body in the entire Suarbi system was one of the many moons surrounding the gas giant Suarbi. It was a world of mainly planes and savannas, flat if anything else. A perfect place to raise Nerf or other meat bearing animals. Almost perfect weather in the capital city of Yumfla, where standing tall and imposing was the old Imperial Governor's Palace, now occupied by remnant War Lord and Queen of the Invid Pirates, Moff Leona Tavira. Some may be familiar, others may not. A lone, and old, Imperial Duce Star Destroyer orbits in the distance, patrolling the boundaries of this Invid stronghold. True Invid pirates don't so much patrol the city as they stumble drunkenly from one brothel, to a cantina, and then eventually make their way to another brothel. You can tell the difference between them and the nobles... Red sashes and striped shirts were the True Invid colors. Pyretta Blaze, Elrych's little blond half sister, had called upon the Jedi for help. Her father, Covis, Leader of the indentured Force Users known as the Jensaarai who were dangerously on the path to being dark-siders with their use and application of abilities, had essentially locked himself into a lower level of the imperial palace known as the, "Saari-kaar's layer." A word for their leader.

On top of that, the other few members of the Moff's personal force using unit had disappeared off the face of the earth, and Leona Tavira was absolutely not happy about it.

"I don't know how or what to do, he won't speak to me. The comms are down. We've tried cutting into the room but, it's resistant to most everything we have..." Pyretta explained to the group of Jedi inside her high class, neo-noir hang out known as 'The Coven'. "So I appreciate you guys coming to help. Things are... I'm just worried."

The Jedi had limited experience with this group, but they seemed open to negotiation and persuading that their philosophy was likely not the best for preventing a force User's fall. At least the younger crowd did, their leader was not so happy about it and made sure to cut the meeting short during the prisoner exchange of Minerva...

"So how do you expect us to get into the Palace?" Elrych chips in, raising a hand, brows furrowed in curiosity. They had gotten here aboard one ship, given a key code through system from Pyretta herself. The drunken Invids were easy to pass by without notice, the locals could care less living under such oppression and ruthlessness numbed them to most thing. It could likely be felt all around by those attuned to the Force.

Pyreta gives Elrych a sly smile, his sly smile before walking over to a crate and opening it. "These..." Inside was red Jensaarai armor, horned helmets and all...

"Oh man that's totally going to cramp my style, though."

[Aryn Cole]

Aryn picked up the cuirass piece of the red armors, testing the weight of the plasteel with her arms. "This is awfully heavy." She complains, being the petty noble of the bunch and most likely to be upset about anything that would be uncomfortable; but it's all she says about it. Little had any of them known, Aryn was most recently on Tatooine, wearing none other than the armor plating of an Ubese. So it was likely that her complaint was about having to wear armor /again/, not having to wear something heavy.

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan has been quiet as she joined the group. She's usually quiet though, so that's perhaps not surprising. She hunches her shoulders a bit, at the despair and numbness that perhaps is sensed through the force, frowning somewhat. There's a moment while she concentrates, working to keep her calm and to reach for the Force. It's instinctive more than anything. The armour gets a long look from Zan who finallys peaks up with, "have those been fumigated?" Ick, bugs. who wants those after all? She grins at Elrych though, amusement dancing across her face. "It'll cramp all our styles, far as I can tell. But - it seems like a good plan, right?"

[Yuun]

Yuun is also quiet, the dark skinned Jedi has been out and about as of late and had only come back to leave with the others to come here. He could sense the mood around them and just looking to his friends he smiles a little, "It will not be that bad." eh says as he moves to take the armor and begins putting it on after cleaning it a bit. "If this is our way in, come on and suit up." he says as he begins getting dressed.

[Rey Skywalker]

Rey is the last to move toward the armor. She picks some of it up and inspects it like the others before her brown eyes look over to those with her, then to the one who'd given this gear to them for this plan. "Will this really work?" Rey has to ask, seemingly a bit skeptical about it all. "We're happy to help, of course, but this... seems like a bit of a stretch. None of us are... trained in truly being the soldiers that wear this uniform." She plays along, however, and starts to put on what will fit her and make the rest fit her as best as she can, leaving off any helmet or face masks that may come with it until the last.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Elrych picks up an armored boot and sniffs it before making a foul face just as Zandra asks about them being fumigated. "I can't tell if that's foot fungi or fumigation spray." He groans and starts to put the garb on slowly.

Pyretta frowns, "I know it's not ideal, I hate wearing that stuff myself but... it's extra protection against detection. The Palace Guards will be easier to fool this way."

"So were these your friend's?" Elrych asks.

"Maybe." Says Elrych sister before addressing Rey, "Once we're inside and down in the lair we can take them off but I understand if it's uncomfortable."

Elrych groans.

Once everyone is suited up it's not a far walk towards the Palace's main entrance. There are two guards there. "Well well well, if it isn't Pyretta Blaze." One of them charms, Pyretta putting on a sleazy smile that would make Lando proud. "Hello gentlemen... just passing through." She hands them over an indent chip which they look at only briefly before shrugging. "Go ahead... see you at the Cantina later?"

"Sure." Pyretta gives a wink before passing by the two. Elrych behind his helmet give a nod, acting just about as serious as he can while wearing the goofy armor.

The interior of the Palace is akin to that of the Civil War Era and the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. Very utilitarian, bland, monochromatic colors. Majorly black, white, and gray. A few potted plants here and there with some low lighting. Quickly they are lead to a lift which they pile into. Down and down it goes, playing some upbeat theme of the imperial march with more jizzy instruments and tempo.

Once the door opens, Elrych stumbles out of the lift into an atrium on the second floor. There is a grand stair case leading down into what appears to be a wide and open common area. There are doors all over the place, many to be searched if one didn't have a guide, but at least they did in Pyretta. "Alright... is office and the library is this way." She starts towards the stairs.

Elrych pulls off his helmet and sucks in a deep breath, "Oh thank the Force..." And starts to peel off the armor... stinky armor.

[Aryn Cole]

For the entire trip, Aryn is quiet. She walks beside Rey, though it contrasts Rey's taller height compared to little Aryn's. The entire conversation is something Aryn avoids outright. The conversation with the guards that is. The idea of bordellos and drunken partying was hardly the idea for what passed as fun for her! Still, it was her duty not to judge, but she did so behind the visor of a helmet.

When they arrived where they needed to, Aryn looks to Elrych as he pulls his armor off. Aryn does the same, beginning with her helmet and working down. She pulls her boots free from the tote she carried and slides those on in place of the armored ones. "So much better!"

[Zandra naMuriel]

Yeah, none of the jedi are happy with this disguise, but so long as it works, that's the key thing. Zan practiced holding her breath as long as she could in there, which might one day help her swimming skill. Maybe. She grins at Aryn's comment, and Elrych's fervent thanks be to the Force, as she too feels the same relief in getting the icky armour off. "Do you do this often?" she asks Pyretta. "Because that is - quite something else." The whole idea of folks meeting at the cantina for drinks and whatever is just ignored, as it just seems to be par for the course around here.

[Yuun]

Yuun doesn't like the smell of this armor, but he is keeping quiet for the time being. He's not used to wearing armor and he's really trying to follow the others lead. Listening to the conversations and even trying to catch names if they are spoken. He looks around as they move and as they are led to the lift, he files in behind the others.

As they walked and rode the lift, Yuun is contemplating a few things though once the doors open he quiets his mind and allows himself just to be in the moment for now.

[Rey Skywalker]

Rey has her helmet on, believing in Elrych's kin that this is the right path to take. It probably is better than what she'd do, which is rush in like a fool and try to convince people that they belong there, either through terrible attempts at fooling them or outright trying to use the Force to impose her words within their heads. This way, is probably far more subtle. Unless they get caught.

"I can't see anything in this." Rey's voice says through the helmet when she's pretty sure they're still alone, but then she sees potential adversaries up ahead so she stiffens inside of the armor and shuts up.

She follows along with the others, near to Aryn and Zandra, but when she sees the others removing their gear finally, she follows along with it. Listening to their comments in turn, Rey glances down to her helmet and turns it up to look inside it. She glances over to Aryn and Zandra. "Mine smelled rather nice." She says in a hushed tone. "Like the dark berries on Ajan Kloss, how strange is that?" She lowers her helmet down then to try to stay serious and keep her whits about her, her eye snow looking around at the somewhat dismal surroundings. "Bleak." She quietly says in one word summation of it.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Pyretta leads them into a large room, lined with data-banks in a similar fashion to the Archives on Coruscant if anyone had actually been there or if they were still intact... this group had yet to find that out. There was also a small alcove which consisted of the furniture more commonly found in a private study. None of the books or data in this library was overly useful regarding the force, mainly, it was census data from the planet though it could hold clue about the Jensaarai or a host of other things in regards to Suarbi 7.

Little Pyretta, who was really only a couple inches taller than tiny Aryn and of a similar build, made her way over towards a wall. "Here is where he went. Only him and I know about it, but only he had the key. He locked himself in there..." The key had been the necklace that Pyretta stole from Elrych which had belonged to his mother.

There are what appear to be rotating wheels with symbols on them on the door, five to be exact. Symbols that look an awfully lot like the ones on the Sith blade back on Arisnar. "I've spun those things like crazy. Tried cutting through it with a lightsaber. It must be made of Beskar or something... it's tough."

[Aryn Cole]

"That's just like you, Blue. Always looking for the positive. I admire that about you." Said softly as Aryn pulls her cape over her shoulders and fastens it by broach; it makes a loud click. Suddenly more at home, the young doctor clipped her lightsaber into place on her belt and drew her gloves on, testing their durability and her dexterity by closing her hands into a fist.

When bid to roam, Aryn comes across a stack of datapads which she promptly knocks over. Despite this embarrassment (yes her cheeks are red), she restacks the pile and holds onto one datapad in particular. It's titled Ylenic, a name she is familiar with. She had heard Leia speak of Ylenic during their training. He was someone Leia claimed was a close advisor to her Lord father, Bail Organa, the senator for Alderaan.

"Huh..I know of this man. Perhaps this is a recording of worth; of use, even?" Aryn activates the holo-projection and plays the recording. It's of a Caamasi Jedi Knight Ylenic It'kla regaling a story, in debrief fashion, about his party's trip to Suarbi to investigate the claims of a Sith presence. His story segues to the defeat and destruction of a dark Jedi named Nikkos Tyris, the first of Saari Kaar. Ylenic believed that following Tyris' destruction, no other threat remained. The contrary seemed clear by the Jedi presence now. Tyris had followers!

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan listens to what Aryn says, as she wanders about, checking here and there. A titch of colour catches her attention, no - not Ayrn's cheeks, but a slightly different coloured book. She goes to pick it up and finds a symbol atop it, the name impressed upon the cover with some slight metal coating. "Jen," she says softly, curiously. She holds it out to Rey, showing her. There's a thoughtful look on her face, and then she frowns a bit, listening to Aryn. "I guess it's a bit of a mix up here, right?" Missing father kind of gives that away, truthfully.

[Yuun]

Yuun walks up to the door and looks at it, though he sees a few data ports for a datapad to. "I see a few data jacks, give me a few and if anyone else want ot help please." he says as he pulls out his datapad from under his armor. His lightsaber is moved to his belt, though he quickly plugs his datapad into the jacks and begins working. Starting with simple codes at first, he begins moving into more encrypted codes and Yuun is working and he moves aside as Elrych jacks into another of the datapads jacks. THere is a clicking and the lock unlocks. "Got mine."

[Rey Skywalker]

Rey shows a subtle grin to Aryn's response to her, it's a compliment and it appeals to her. But, business to be done, so she starts explore these archives - and not being familiar with the Jedi Archives on Coruscant as she's never seen them visually - she just visually searches what she's able to. When she hears the holo-recording she glances in that direction, but then just listens while scanning.

Eventually she comes to stand over there, by the time Zandra approaches her and shows her what she's found. "I found this." She holds up the cloth-wrapped notebook. "It's a Sith symbol. I recognize it after studying with Beaumont." Beaumont being the Resistance historian who's helped her decipher a lot of the Jedi Texts, and is the best living historian on Sith history that they've come across. "It means 'Doctrine' and it's one of those locks, I believe." She motions toward said lock with the same symbol.

She looks over to Yuun when he announces his lock opened through the use of a datapad. She steps over to the one with the Sith Doctrine symbol and inspects it. "There's more to this archive than meets the naked eye, I believe."

[Ban Iskender]

Ban Iskender hastens the several steps needed to catch up with his fellows, the wicked looking red armor not clattering as loudly when the young soldier moves. A pass of his visored eyes find the others divesting themselves of the armor, and he follows suit, hauling off the horned helm. "No movement on the stairs," he reports discreetly, before going silent and listening to what the others have found, thus far.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Elrych looks over his shoulder as Ban arrives, "There you are, I thought we lost you back there." Back where? That was a story for another time. The Corellian ace goes about tapping on his datapad after hooking up with one of the link cables he brought Yuun. The second lock unclasps and opens. "Hooyah..." He says.

The other Symbols, as Rey mentions, to in fact match up with what needs to be inputted on the other locks. "Feel free to take what you'd like, it's the least I can do for your help." It might be strange that Pyretta couldn't figure this out but something becomes evident once she picks out her own note with the last symbol on it... "Hey, what does this one mean?" She hadn't a damn clue what any of it was and certainly hadn't thought of that angle. Perhaps a blond moment.

Elrych snickers at his sister who in turn narrows her eyes at him and cocks her hip to the side, "Let's see you do any better, blind-y."

"Oi, who you calling blind!"

The two's imminent bickering is forfeited by the rumbling sound of the Beskar Blast door, making that sound as it raises like a monolithic stone door. It was thick, heavy, and lead into a long dark hallway that was just barely lit. It sloped down into an abyss.

Taking a deep breath Elrych looks to the others, "Alright... here we go..." And then heads into the breach. It's a long journey, one could estimate at least a kilometer of a slight down slope. Finally that darkness open up and all noise around them echos. The loud 'chut' sound of industrial lights turning on are accompanied by lamps illuminating over a cavernous out cropping. Before them... very tall walls with a single entrance. "What is this?"

"I think it's a Labyrinth, El."

[Aryn Cole]

"What substance do you think these walls are comprised. Do you think they could withstand the cut of a lightsaber?" Aryn asks as they're faced with the puzzle of a labrynth. Being a thinker (an over thinker) Aryn sought only to break the game. Labrynths were intended for one purpose; a game. She did not intend to be toyed with. To drive the point home, the doctor unclipped her Jedi weapon and activated its blade, drawing forth the sapphire blue in contrast to the dimmer lighting and surroundings. It hummed with even the most subtle movements, but she approached a wall up ahead, preparing to plunge her weapon inside it to cut a path for them to take.

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan looks at Aryn, a brow arching. "That seems a bit excessive maybe?" she offers gently. "Though I do agree that we're not toys, but if this is a labyrinth, there could be anything on the other side of the wall, including who we are looking for. Or soft cuddly loth kittens." She is half teasing, yes, and her hand does go to her lightsaber, perhaps willing to assist Aryn with the walls, if need be. She eyes the entrance they can see, and then she shrugs. "I guess we head in and see what we can find?"

[Yuun]

Tucking his datapad under his armor. Yuun shakes himself a little, and he looks around at the others for a moment. He sees that Aryn, Rey and Zan are doing research and going over documents. He really didn't like that back at the temple, but he knows how to do so if he needed. When Elrych speaks about this being a labryinth he blinks. "Oh this is going to be fun. Do we wanna keep this armor on or take it off before we proceed?" he asks.

[Rey Skywalker]

When the heavy door opens, Rey takes a step back and lets her eyes rise to watch it as it moves. She then looks down and forward then to what lies beyond it in the contrasting darkness further in. She draws in a breath and watches the others move on inside while she trails along with them, her eyes going back to Ban now that he's rejoined them. "Did your helmet smell like berries?" She asks him. "Mine did." She smirks then.

Once in the 'maze', Rey looks between Aryn and Zandra talking about sabers and cutting through but Elrych is on the way ahead. Rey steps up to Aryn and nods toward her. "Make markings?" She suggests. "So we can find our way back quickly, should... should we need to be quick."

She strides past Yuun then, still wearing some of her armor, but having ditched some as well like the bulky torso elements and the boots, she has to have her capris on after all, otherwise what's the point of living? (Kidding!). To Yuun, Rey nods once. "Keep it if it's comfortable, far too bulky for me though."

[Ban Iskender]

"..Loth kittens," Ban echoes, dry skepticism strong in those two words. "Much as I do favor the direct approach, it seems master Cometburn has found some insight into a clearer path. We may always fall back on the direct method, should we chance upon an angry lot of hostile guardians in red," he notes eyeing the removed helmet. "A cut cannot be unmade, after all."

[Elrych Cometburn]

"Bulky is right..." Elrych mentions distantly as he starts towards the entrance, "I... I think I know the way. Do you guys sense that?" Pyretta could but only because they shared that sibling bond. Vhe would have likely been able to as well. "Follow me."

As Aryn made cuts on their way with her lightsaber she would notice that the walls are cuttable. But they are very thick and dense, which would take them a long time to cut their way out so even if lost... they had options. Though the arrive at the center of the labrythn in short order. There are several other entrances to what appear to be the alter, indicating there are other entrances or ways in from around the area they could have taken. The place was massive after all. In the center of the alter is... a corpse. Someone who looks like they've had their life drained away. It is Minerva. The others are strewn about the area in an equal state, a sacrifice to this alter. On a podium rests a book, it looks very old.

The Jedi are bombarded with flashes of what happened, Covis, painted in black and white skull face paint, murders and drains the life of the other Jensaarai. The book whispers towards him in sith, and too towards our Jedi.

Back to reality and a voice booms and echos, "I told you NOT to come!"

"Father what have you don!" Pyretta laments, tears steaming down her eyes.

"I did what I had to, for us... to defeat the Moff... To-to... Jedi... you brought the Jedi. You have BETRAYED ME. PERISH!"

There is a loud thud and then the sound of marching metal feet. Elrych pulls his saber from his belt and ignites the brilliant blue blade... "Woah, this is heavy."

Pyretta's voice quivers, "Damn it Elrych."

"Sorry, Sis..."

[Aryn Cole]

Aryn frowned at the silent disapproval of the most direct route. Though logic revealed an answer to her questions after Rey told her to mark their path. Aryn did as she was told, walking at the rear of the group and marking the stones, finding them dense and thick. She came to the conclusion that her method would have been time consuming; so she gave it no further thought to stay objective.

She's the last to arrive at this scene, and what she witnesses is the loud 'PERISH' command before they are suddenly set upon by what sounds like droids. Aryn cannot see, everyone is larger than she is. Keeping her weapon off for now, she waits for an opening to see what they must contend with. She makes no noise, and says nothing further. Now was a time for action not words.

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan shudders at the flashes bombarding her, the sith voices whispering at her. "How terr- " Then there's that voice calling for them to perish, and none of the Jedi are going to put up with that. Not if they can help it. Her breath goes out in a hiss, and there's a thought about Princess Leia. "I know, fighting isn't always the answer, but sometimes it is necessary to defend," she says, as she moves forward with speed, lightsaber igniting as she spies the droids. She doesn't waste breath with any war cry or yell, but she charges in, intent on removing some of those droids from play, trying to protect those with her. Especially those who might need more protection than others. She isn't emotional about it, she is in fact determined though as she slices at the droids, her lightsaber swinging into the right forms to incapacitate several of the droids. There are still more though, and Zan moves to a defensive stance.

[Yuun]

Yuun doesn't like that his mind was invaded but he takes the moment to focus on what he is seeing and as they are brought back to the present, "I need to work on keeping stuff like that from happening." he says as he hears the sounds of marching droids. A sudden dread flows through him as he sees droids surrounding them all as they are gettign into position. His thumb hits the activation stud on his lightsaber and the blade ignites.

"Keep together, don't get seperated." as he says this he sees Zandra moving to engage the droids in front of her. Yuun flits towards the droids himself, and as he closes he moves to Zandra's right and begins attacking, his lightsaber moving in a blur, surgical strikes that decapitates the droids heads and cuts them in half in a very fast way. He doesn't move away from Zan but keeps close to her, giving her enough room to manuver but allowing them to be able to help one another or allowing others to join.

[Rey Skywalker]

The flashes of the vents inside of this ritual room are enough to make anyone's stomach turn... What had gone on here, why would such a thing happen? Who could do -any- of this? The darkness in the galaxy knows no boundary, this is something Rey has begun to learn in earnest.

As the shouting begins, Rey watches Elrych's sibling forced to deal with a father far darker than anyone should ever have to see their parent fall. She feels a swelling of pity for the young woman, though also a sudden kinship due to her own recent revelations in family bloodlines.

But things escalate, quickly, guardian droids. Their heavy clanking footballs are a call to arms and with lightsabers igniting all around them, Rey keeps her back aimed toward her companions. She sweeps past Aryn who was in the back of their group, hoping to protect her friend, she slides between some of the incoming droids and sweeps her golden saber through their legs and arms! Growling energy cuts through robotic limbs, and the young Jedi sweeps her body about and ducks away from incoming blaster fire!

[Ban Iskender]

Ban Iskender's green eyes narrow with a frown as the dark deeds done before their arrival are revealed. "Fell deeds, ill done," he judges, as the red tinged white blade of his own lesser saber is raised and lit. He still moves and strikes like a mundane swordsman, turning hips and shoulders into each slash and riposte. A lunge slips wide, missing one droid's armored head, before he recovers with a downward slash which cuts one down. His blade returns to a dueling guard in the next breath to block a blaster bolt.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Pyretta is far too distraught to do anything more than take her own lightsaber from her belt and ignite it. This couldn't be real... her father... what happened? That book, her eyes fall on that book. She moves with purpose towards it.

Elrych was cutting through three of the droids, the Jedi making quick work of the older models. He was fast, far faster than a normal human being could possibly go. He turns to check on Pyretta seeing her move towards the book, "Wait, Pyretta!"

He can't reach her in time as a droid attempt to knock his head clean off with a sharpened mandible.

[Aryn Cole]

It comes an ideal moment where Aryn can visualize her proper introduction to this battle. To slide in and make a key stroke of her weapon to cut down a droid, but this vision is robbed from her the moment one droid, behind her, aims and fires upon her weight bearing leg.

Aryn cries out in anguish as a powerful red lance impacts the back of her thigh, then emerges from the front. It's a sudden flash, one which the hue of red briefly colors her cheeks as she looks down only to have her cheeks peppered by the sudden burst of pulverized blood. Unable to sustain her weight, she falls to the side, landing in a pile on the ground. Another bolt flashes by her, missing, but Aryn had not noticed because her eyes were clenched shut in pain. "Ahhhh!" She cried out.

One hand cradled her new wound, while her free hand stretched out to show some influence over the living force, but her concentration was broken. So instead, Aryn fumbled for her medical kit, her hands shaking with gloves coated in her own blood.

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan watches as her friends help with the droids, and then they do fire back, attacking the jedi. They don't get much give as they do, Zan dodging out of the way with a lot more ease than some previous times. Zan moves forward again, aiming to incapacitate the droids, calm and serene, with a dangerous precision to her movements as she slices here, there, and again. Yuun should be proud, after all the help training that he's given. It shows. With most of the droids down, Zan turns to find the real perpetrator, her gaze flashing around the room as she steps forward, taking up that form one defensive position automatically. She heard the sound of the injury behind, the sound of someone crying out as they were hit, but there are still enemies - it's not safe. Her expression tightens a bit, but she holds.

[Yuun]

Yuun is moving quickly and keeping up, though he hears the cry of his friend Aryn as she was hit. Still he keeps his wits about him, moving in tandem with Zan and the others sweeping his blade in short arcs as he attacks and not doign anything fancy to open himself up to surprisal.

[Rey Skywalker]

Rey sweeps her gaze around to see Zandra and Yuun finishing off the seemingly last of the droids, and then she looks to Ban to see him doing very well with his Stunsaber. But ultimately it's Aryn's distress that brings Rey to her side. With a hiss of her saber's beam being drawn back in to it's hilt, Rey rushes to her friend's side and crouches down beside her. She scans her over visually to check on the injury. Rey exhales softly at the young medical expert. "I think you chose the right skills to focus on in life, Aryn, have I ever told you that?" She offers the words quietly and shows her a small smile to try to keep the mood light. "We'll have to get you help to get out of here now though, I think." She looks up to Ban then. "Can you help her?" She asks of the newest of the Jedi Order here.

Rey has to spare a look over to Elrych and his sister though, as well as the booming voice of the girl's father who'd ordered those droids to attack them.

[Ban Iskender]

Ban Iskender looks sharply aside in the instant Aryn cries out at her wound. The offending (and remaining) droids are cut down by those who are nearer, and Ban steps swiftly to kneel opposite Rey beside Aryn. A short nod to Skywalker's request. "I can." His voice remains even and steady as he focuses on, "Aryn." The soldier assists the far more skilled doctor in her self treatment with his unshaking hands, a measure of his steady calm projected instinctively to the young noblewoman. The Force flows between them.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Pyretta is lifts her blade up to swing down upon the evil book but her lightsaber is met by another one of a similar green color. It protrudes from the shadows, which slowly begin to melt away like a viscus oil from the frame of her father. Eyes glowing yellow, teeth rotted away, his face marred by pocks and the pain he himself applied for the ritual which they all had heralded a vision of. "Betrayal..." He seethes between his blackened teeth before unleashing a force attack which sends his daughter against the wall. She slides down, unconscious, her blade sliding back down and extinguishing. Covis looks to the others with hatred.

"Aryn!" Elrych shouts, looking between the two blonds, his sister and the Princess. "No!" He shouts, raising his blade defensively as he moves between Covis and his sister's prone body. "You will not harm a single person here." His blue eyes hold the strongest resolve as he takes a mid-guard stance. "Ban, get Aryn and Pyretta out of here..." He didn't want his sister to wake up in the middle of what happened next.

[Aryn Cole]

"I'm innately, perpetually, in the way. A skill I've had since I was but a girl." Aryn says, pained but amused to Rey. Ban's help is welcomed, despite the overwhelming waves of discomfort and pain clouding Aryn's mind for the moment. It is a distinctly hurtful wound, one that takes the young Jedi from the fight (again).

Unable to stand, unaided, Aryn reaches for the soldier's shoulder, and preps her good leg to stand up with a loud groan. "I'm a burden here, I should not have come. Lord Ban, focus your efforts upon the girl there. I will manage. If we're to leave this conflict as Elrych instructs, let's at least follow my markings back to safety."

From her satchel, Aryn draws a black forearm length staff and presses the button that extends it with a snap. Its blunt end is pressed to the ground and made into a crutch, for now. Hobble hobble, Aryn!

[Zandra naMuriel]

Zan's eyes watch as poor Pyretta is flung and knocked out. As Elrych makes his request of Ban, then Zan moves forward to attack, hoping for distraction at the very least. She's not sure how powerful this fellow is, but at this point, there's definitely a book that seems to have splaining to do, and a Covis who - is that really Elrych's father? There's a gentle sadness in Zan with that, and her third swing clangs atainst his saber, her edge softening slightly.

[Yuun]

Blinking as the book is talking? Or is it....he sees a green blade ignite and attack, Yuun quickly moves in and begins to go after Elrych's father. SHaking his head, "Keep moving, don't bunch up." he says as he moves to flank in behind Covis, working in tandem with the others as they move in, "Move if your too injured." he calls as he scythes a strike trying to take the head of this enemy.

[Rey Skywalker]

Rey shows a faint smirk to Aryn's reply and then raises up to her feet again. She turns around to see Zandra and Yuun going together against the man who'd just thrown his daughter across the room with his own abilities in the Force. Rey, with lightsaber still in hand but deactivated, stalks around the pedestal with the book and walks toward the three of them as Zandra and Yuun make fairly short work of him, over powering him with their well trained saber skills.

When he topples, Rey is standing at his feet now, looking down at him with her hood waving gently around the sides of her face. She stares at him, then glances to his saber on the ground. Her free hand's fingers splay apart and she calls the saber to her grasp. The hilt slaps into her palm and her fingers close around it.

Her eyes go back to the man that Zandra and Yuun had disabled.

"You're everything wrong with the Force and those who train with it. You lack even the conviction of a true Sith. But the worst of everything I've witnessed here now? You're a bad father. You're an embarrassment. You're an abomination." She glances to Pyr, then back down to Covis.

She looks to the man again and her own saber is pointed at him. The golden beam activates and it points down at the man's nose. It growls hungrily at him, as though it's desperately trying to reach just a 'little further' out of the hilt to bite his nose clean off of his face!

"You won't ever harm her again." There is no mind trick needed here, the statement is as much as it needs to be.

[Ban Iskender]

Having done what he can to ease Aryn's pain, Ban's eye snaps back to the fight as Elrych shouts a desperate order. Steadying Aryn's rise, once he sees the Aldaraanian princess back to her feet, the soldier in grey and green is making haste to recover the unconscious Pyretta, sparing a moment in search of any neck injury that might prevent her being moved safely, before the Jen Sarai is lifted up and carried hastily after Aryn.

[Elrych Cometburn]

Elrych doesn't get a change to attack as Covis is outmatched by Zandra and Yuun. It's fear in Covis' eyes, desperation, as his lightsaber is snatched away by the Order's leader and her own extended so close and threatening. He looks towards the book, more fear in his eyes. "No... no, no, no..." The degeneration of his body begins rapidly, his painful screams filling the cavernous room. Quickly his body degrades and rots away, like the others who's life force he had stolen. And then... Covis turns to dusts, dying in light of his own hubris and the room is silent except for the deadly hum of still active lightsabers. Elrych turns his off, still stunned. He looks towards the book on the podium, approaching it slowly. He can hear the voices whispering but tunes them out. Looking over the words he shakes his head, "Philosophical Musings and the history of the First Dark Jedi Exiles; An account of the Ancient Sith Wars buy Larad Noon... Seriously?" A look back to Rey, "Should we take it?"

[Aryn Cole]

Moving back to safety, Aryn only felt ashamed she could do no more good. She hooked her lightsaber back to her belt and focused on walking. Timing it, and reminding herself of the metranome she used growing up when practicing the elegant dances of Alderaan. If only her mother could see the mess she was now. She'd scoff. How unladylike, Aryn Cole. Hobble hobble.

[Zandra naMuriel]

Unladylike? Whatever! Zan doesn't even know what that is, truth be told. There's definitely a grace and precision about Zandra na'Muriel, but nobody would mistake her for noble! She steps back as Rey steps forward, ceding space. There's a look of horror as Covis sort of just melts away, and Zan then goes a bit green. She isn't listening to the book, just the entire sith melting away, shrieking and all that ugliness in her head? She turns to find a spot that is safe to lose whatever is in her stomach. There's a moment of retching, and then she mutters, "Sorry. I'm just - I hope nobody needed that bit of floor."

[Yuun]

Yuun watches as Covis dissapates, and he looks to Zandra nodding his head to her in good work. He looks around at everyone, with Aryn near Rey, "Is everyone ok?" he asks as he deactivates his lightsaber and he walks over to Aryn to check on her and he looks to Elrych's sister. He could see she was ok, he sighs a little big, his parents would never do what theirs did, never. He agreed with all that Rey said and as Aryn gets up, he looks around to make sure there was no other threats.

[Rey Skywalker]

As Cpvis disintegrates before her, Rey's eyelids flicker and she deactivates her lightsaber. "Apparently he got the message." She mutters before reattaching her saber to her belt and now moving toward Elrych. She pauses and looks to him, then to the book and then up to him. "Please, yes, it sounds like a... page turner." She shows him a soft smirk then. Rey slides the lightsaber hilt of Covis into the bag on her hip and steps up to Zandra after watching her lose her last meal. She places a hand gently upon Zandra's back and offers her a soft smile, before looking to Yuun.

"That was unsettling, I agree. Come on, let's go help Aryn and find our way out of here. Hopefully we don't have to put that armor back on to get back out of here, yeah?" She then lets her eyes sweep around the room and the maze beyond. "There's still likely secrets here, yet to be found, but we'll need to take note of that and maybe come back another day."

[Elrych Cometburn]

Elrych trades off carrying Pyretta with Ban. The group head up the elivator, the Corellian instructing someone to take a suit of armor for 'study' and to place in the Library as a reminder of this incident. He had made sure to wrap the book in a cloth before stowing it away somewhere safe for the journy. When the head out the main lobby, El manages the ol'Jedi Mind trick, making the two guards think that there's something around the corner that needs their attention more than the doorway. This allows our intrepid hero's to spring from the Govoner's Palace and back to The Coven and eventually the Space Port then ride on out of here. There was much to contemplate, especially for Pyretta and her brother.
