Obus VI, Wild Space

The colony frontier of Obus VI was a mockery of the word frontier. It was a water world, utterly and completely. Said to contain the treasures of an ancient base, it became a popular world for exploration. More explorers came, the more the need for fuel and landing became important. Before long, platforms were erected from the water, and sprawling colonies on stilts presided. Now, Chovana, one of the outlying colonies, is under attack. Our party lands amidst a battle, their first objective? Take the platform.

<<"The LZ is hot. As hot as they come.">> Sumi's raspy voice says over comms. The blue plated Mando'ade is near the hatch for the U-Wing, her hand hooked over a grab bar that hangs from the center of the personnel hold. She tugs the hatch open flooding the hold with a sudden gust of wind and a glimpse of the nasty weather outside. Waves the size of buildings slowly rise beneath the flash of terrible lightning, and sheets of rain. <<"You'll be on a platform.. one of the rekkin' cargo plats where ships and drek come in, drop their loads and punch out. It's the only place local resistance has managed to keep Wo's mercenaries at bay. But they're losing ground, and we're their only hope.">>

Sumi clears her throat, peering out the ship hatch for a moment only to dip back in and look at the others. <<"Truth is, I don't give a rekk about this damn colony or the people. Only one thing matters to me. Killing Wo. I know the man, he's dangerous and one of the best soldiers I've /ever/ seen.">>

Sumi looks back to the pilot and nods. <<"We're coming up on the platform now. I'll coordinate our push into the city by working with their Marshal. My brother Hadrix and sister Zee will lead the ground team in. I'll have overwatch and limited close air support. Our best bet of drawing Wo out is by rekking up enough of his operation that he'll feel the need to come out and handle matters himself. Failure is not an option for this man. Lastly, if you need specific targets hit, designate them and let me know. Lady Fae (the pilot) and I will do our best!">>

The craft began to shake as a loud whine cycled the landing skids out. Fae turned her pretty head, her blonde hair caught by the wind, and flashed Sumi a thumbs up. Sumi hit the button behind her shading the hold in a green light and motioned for everyone to move out!

The platform the team was unloading on was massive and made of a black rubber like substance to guard against shifting cargo containers when winds were to a dangerous degree. Ahead of the team is a long pathway dotted with tall crates, some taller than the tallest man present. The way forward was down this path, and further up ahead, the local forces were hunkered down in a heated fire fight. The sounds of their conflict could be heard even over the engines of the U-Wing.

Zee'Roh was busy checking her loadout during the briefing, the visor of her helmet turned down slightly towards the turned over slugthrower rifle slung against her chest with the receiver pulled back with two curled durosteel clad fingers. She inclines her head at her name, lifting a hand to pat the palm of her left gauntlet upon her domed Helmet, then indicates Hadrix with two fingers pointed in the big mans direction.

After the greenlight, the rifle seats in her shoulder and she rushes down the ramp, motioning with a side chop that releases Zero:The droid, from the housing on her back. It immediately rises up above the U-Wing, linking comms and providing aerial tactical data back to her HUD that she feeds through the wrist mounted computer to anyone who /has/ a HUD and allows her access. <"Fighting ahead, take cover and volley, move /into/ cover.. no heroics.">

Tara listens to the briefing intently, one hand on the grav bar, the other on her belt in case she needs to come out shooting. When the light goes green she's out the hatch and onto the deck, letting the Koras take the lead. It /is/ their hunt, after all, and significantly more personal for Sumi than it is for her. Drawing her other blaster now that one hand isn't occupied keepeing her from falling out the hatch, she leapfrogs from cover to cover, providing covering fire as nessecary.

"You may be asking too much," Sajin jests as Zee asks for no heroics. He was a King, he was biund by his position to be real anhero and charge head first and nto the enemy. "But Ill make an acceptiin." He brings up his bowcaster as he hops off the Uwing, servos of his power armor whining as they move and adjust. At keast he was protected againat the weather. He keeps near cover, moving at an even pace with the others.

<"It's not heroics if it works..."> Hadrix's voice rumbles shortly after Zee's over comms, the big man isn't sure what to do - but he wants to be the spearhead... but Zee is 'above him' in the clan. <"Assessing.">

<"What does that mean?"> <"It means -I'm- assessing..."> Hadrix mutters back to the droid now floating off of his shoulder to begin scanning ops, it's femal programed... and has stock 'sultry coruscanti nobility' in its voice. <"Assessing... does that mea-"> <"It means I'm... Assessing... Gripper.">

He's not, he's trying to figure out the next moves. Still getting used to all this shavit.

Rain splatters against Ca'tra's helmet as she unloads behind the lead team. Her black cape is immediately whipped by the wind; she moves unencumbered down the ramp, Glie-44 already drawn. The blacks and tans of her dura-steel armor blend well enough behind the cover of the high crates they are moving into at a trot. Low-light vision helps her see ahead. <<Com check, vod.>> She says over their aliit's private channel.

Kae has something a bit different on her person. Instead of the full on Skyripper clan armor, she's donned a slightly heavier Cinnegar suit, one of the new ones that's quite popular today. She does still have the helmet... It's on her hip. Kae tilts her head and looks up curiously, before unclipping the helmet and flopping the thing on her head and sealing it up...

As Sumi goes over things, Kae begins to whisstle to her self, though only folks nearby can hear her. She casually checks her dl-44, making sure it's read, before she tugs on and checks her tracker. Next she lifts a rather massive thing off the sidewall of the U-wng. This being a vaunted T-21 light repeater....

Kae looks the massive gun over curiously, then lifts the thing to her shoulder checks it again, a holo-sight popping into existance above the sight rail before she lowers it and cycles a new magazine home... SHe then switches her outside bit on and adds, her voice still in that cheerful bent, but well more serious. "I'll start laying down cover fire as soon as I get into a covered position." She says simply, the T-21 being one of those large squad weapons that's quite capable of doing just that.

Though the design has changed, his color scheme has not, and the tan-on-green of Tharyn's armor manages for once to stands out against the grays and slatish blues of the platform and the stormy sea. << Grenadier here, >> he reports in his farmhand's voice, sharpened and made crisper by combat. << I have fragmentation grenades and detonite charges available as needed. >> And a blaster, it appears, as he draws a sighted and modified DL-30 from a drop-worn belt holster, which he double-checks briefly to ensure is loaded before dropping onto the platorm's deck. With tactical data overlaid upon his helmet optics, Tharyn follows the Mandalorians in the lead, keeping low and near cover when possible as he makes his way along.

Narsai wasn't a bounty hunter, not properly anyway. In the days where she'd first left Mandalore with her brother, travelling as a crew and earning where they could she'd taken bounties among other jobs, but she'd never been a member of the guild. Now, with the Revivers leadership and more Mandalorians coming into the broader galaxy, her goals had shifted to more lofty ones of helping shape her people (or at least her clan and those with her) into something seen as a positive in the systems as much as a fearsome force to protect Mandalorians themselves. In other words? The red-clad woman in her Beskar'gem -was- more worried about the colony than the money, but that didn't mean she had any reservations about killing Wo and any of his men. They were warriors born and bred, Narsai was -far- from an exception to that.

Weapon drawn, she was hastily off the craft with the others, her comparatively smaller hand-cannon drawn as she moved up towards the front. Even behind the T-visor she smirked as she looked over the gear of the others. Only this sort of crowd could make -her- look underarmed, bristling with gear as she was.

The group follows the path forward, passing a series of large crates while being witness to the massive waves that pass beneath the colony on stilts. Lightning flashes, thunder rumbles, and the WHIP-CRACK of slugthrower rounds pass over head sparking off cover as what's left of the Marshal force is hunkered down. "MEDIC!" One screams, and another responds, rushing to where they were prompted only to take a WHIP-CRACK connection to the dome and spill over, dead before they hit the ground. "DAMN IT.. THEY'RE PICKING US OFF OUT HERE!" The Sergeant raises his hand. "INFANTRY RUSHING OUR POSITION.. THEY'VE GOT LONG RIFLES BEHIND THEM.. UP ON THAT NORTHERN PLATFORM!"

This information is fed to the ground team that just arrived via a sliced connection Zero made while airborne. A moment after the local comms were hacked, the enemy comms were too.

Enemy Comms: <<"We've got them in full retreat. Push push push. Overrun that location, we'll pick them off as they open fire in defense.">>

The Sergeant plants his back to the storage crate just certain this was it. Then he saw them. MANDALORIANS! He waves them forward! "HELP.. WE NEED YOUR HELP! WE'RE ABOUT TO BE OVERRUN!"

Accuracy was in the Sergeant's statement. Zero's targeting manifest identified through its uplink with the squad, 15 Enemy IFFs on the ground rushing the local friendly fixed position. 9 other IFFs loomed above, on a higher platform where the customs office was.

<"Hadrix, take a group around forward to push back against these kriffs. You- You- You-"> Zee points out Tara, Kaeyln, and Tharyn in that order, <"You're with me..."> Sighting down the irons of her archaic rifle braced in her shoulder, moving towards the waving Sergeant, motioning her trio of soldiers forward with a wave along the firing line already starting to develop from the beseiged. Leaning forward to be heard over the crashing of lightning and fire of blasters. <"I want you to move your people to space inbetween my guys..."> Motioning to the Mixed units of Mando'a and civilians. <"I've got a group going to push back, but we're holding the line and leap frogging over them... Push and move, push and move.. Thumbs up?">

Thumbs up.

Zee brings her rifle up and takes a position, <<"Heavy resistance ahead. 15 enemy rushing straight at us and 9 snipers in elevated positions, I'm sending you IFF scans and coordinates, Hadrix.">> Speaking as she fires at the approaching force.

Tara sticks with Zee as ordered, sliding into cover and joining the firing line. Grinning inside her helmet, she double checks the charge on both blasters. <"Understood! Oya!"> She opens up, the roar of the Sentinel distinct compared to the higher whine of the DL-30.

While the other Mandalorians are working as a team. The non mandos seem to be left to their own devices. "Alright then." He saw, with his HUD the snipers. High ground bad. He sets up his bowcaster with some cover behind a crate, lines up a shot, and fires. Its off, he adjusts his sights and prepares for the next shot.

Forced to work in large force tactics where he's not allowed to simply barrel into the enemy forces. It's maddening to him. Frustrating. He can't figure out directions to give, so when Hadrix hits the ground in a blast of jet pack exhaust, he simply raises one arm, the pilot light of the weapon and gaze about before Zee's commands kick in. <<"Sajin, Narsai, Kryll.">> pointing to each in turn, <<"Form the line with me. It's a Fire and Advance like, Ca'Tra'ika, you're behind us, fire support and medical.">>

Speaking of fire support, the big Mando moves forward at speed to take up position per Zee's orders, a curling torrent of liquified fire setting the man in stark iridescent relief. The arch of molten light coating one poor man entirely, sending him stumbling to the ground - shrieks cut off as flames scorch throat and lungs.

Hadrix's externals click on as he cries out <"OYA MANDA! OYA VERDA!">

It's one thing to charge a group of retreating soldiers, entirely something else when super-heavily armed mercenaries show up and begin firing back. Another thing entirely to be out in the open when a crazed, and yes, now giggling Sephi with a squad assault light repeater, Ie the T-21 sets that sucker up on a create and begins laying down fan after fanned burst of blaster fire, all layed out to try and suppress the enemy assault.

Kae then calmly says, and yes there's stilla bit of a giggle << Stopped their advance!!>> she calls out as stoccatto after stoccatto of blaster fire rips out of her masslve T-21, one burst sweeping across an injured soldier and nearly cutting the man in half as she moves on to lay yet more fire down on the charging group. << Yup they're suppressed!>>

The doctor, Ca'tra, starts to move forward with the attack group and stops rubbing her right leg. <<Zee, I've put myself in your group>> She doesn't add that a wound has broken open under her armor. Crouching behind a crate, she pops a shot at one of the close in attacker missing, leaving a scorch mark on the crate he hides behind.

The crash of the sea does nothing to qench the sound of blaster fire and the screams of dead men, and the ghostly green hell-fury of Hadrix's plasma thrower in particular brings a touch of celebration as one of the mercenaries are reduced to an instant funeral pyre. Flesh and armor melting together as one, out, out, brief candle, screams and smoke vanishing in the air. Tharyn has seen such horrors aplenty, however, and is capable of looking past that carnage as he pops up from behind a crate and fire two shots square into the center of a mercenary's torso, punching a pair of smoking craters the size of billiard balls in the man's chest before he falls dead upon the decking.

Kryll makes his way into cover with the others, taking a peek from that cover to spot the sniper platform. <"That sniper pack is going to be a problem."> he reaches into hisholster and draws out a modified S5 pistol with his left hand, holding the e-11 in his right. He spots Narsai running out into the openand shakes his head, <"I thought that was Sajin's thing.">

Narsai was already making to move, her lack of a long rifle and general 'lead from the front' had her quite suited and willing to move in advance...but it was infinately better with teammates raining hell. Hadrix call gets a nod, but the sudden painting of targets in the AR tag display of her Reviver armor helmet earns a little chuckle of joy. "<Handy. Moving forward!>" With that call, Narsai's blaster comes out and the heavy Mandalorian-made weapon spits a bolt that blasts across the distance, skimming the scope of one sniper and simply blowing his head clean away with the force of impact and erruption of heat.

The second bolt wasn't so immediately lethal, but she doubted that sniper felt great with a hole in his arm.

The U-Wing begins to lift off the moment the team has disembarked, and Sumi gives Fae the thumbs up before fastening her tether harness on and taking a position in the door. One leg hangs out, resting on the skid of the craft while her other is drawn up for support in her modified rifleman stance. The U-Wing goes up high to watch the assault unfold. Sumi's voice is heard over comms.

<<"Marshal, this is Kora. My team has reinforced your group at the supply docks and have begun repelling the assault there. Please advise.">>

<<"--static..ora.. My teams are spre--static--ll over this goddamn colony. Help the group there and I'll sha--.. next location. Over.">>

<<"Roger. Stand by.">>

A red shot fired from the U-Wing pierces one of the snipers on the platform just as the snipers open fire on the friendly position. Everyone rushing the friendly line appears to be pinned down by a constant rate of blaster fire coming from a target all the snipers tried to hit. The audacity makes Sumi laugh.

The fight down below is rekking CHAOTIC. Blaster fire comes in all over, leaving steaming contrails cut through the rain while the wind whistles and waves crash against the platform. Slug rounds spark off platforms and pluck up bits of rubber especially around Kaelyn and Narsai, who appear to be the most exposed. The Sergeant that's with the Mandos screams. "LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT EM PINNED DOWN! HAHAHA! GIVE EM HELL!"

<<"Roger that, Vode.">> Zee responds to Ca'tra, moving along the crates in and out of cover to come up beside the doctor, closing her helmet in for direct comms', <<"You stay on my six, copy? I move and you move.. never further than arms length.">> Her hand comes around to smack, not hard at all, affectionately like, the side of her sisters helmet. <<"Hadrix, we're advancing... Tell your guys to focus right, we'll circle left.">>

Turning to look over at her guys, <<"On me.. We're going left, we'll have fire support to our right so check your lines of fire... MOVE.">> Leaping over the crates with a planted left hand, rifle gripped in the right, she immediately brings the weapon back up to the ready and advances along the path to the far left, under pretty heavy blaster-fire, to set up a new covering position for Hadrix's and his skwad.

From her new position and Zero's tactical analysis of the changing landscape of the battlefield, Zee has better eyes on the platform from which the sniper cover is coming. <<"Hadrix, you got that kriff your mom rocket? I just got a really nasty idea... sending you targetting data, let me know when you receive it.">> Zero is highlighting structural supports with red indicators, specifically those close enough together to cause a cascading reaction. She also fires from this new position, checking to make certain Ca'tra is, infact, on her six.. as well as the trio of merc/mando's. <<"Strong work with that Tee two one, keep it up.. Ca'tra'ika, see what you can do to get everyone patched up?">> To Kaelyn then to her Vod, nodding her T-visor towards the group, firing into the mix from cover. Cool blue eyes surveying.. <<"Is that kriffer running away?! Oh hell no...">> The rifle comes up, sites along the tragectory, and fires... a slug bursts fromthe weapon with a POWKAW first one hitting him in the ass.. <<"Mando'ade never run..">> The second hits his shoulder and spins him.

<<"Punk ass.">>

Tara's snarling grin inside her helmet only falters slightly when a blaster bolt spangs off her left pauldron. Kriffing /stings/, but she'll live. Giving Zee a nod of acknowledgement she's over the barricade again, charging to the next cover and firing. The shabuir who shot her takes a sentinel round to the chest, the heavy blaster cooking through his chestplate and dropping him like a sack of bricks. Another is hit in the gap between plates in the armpit and spins briefly, toppling over the railing with a muffled cry. The third dives back into cover, cursling loudly at the wound to his gun arm. <"Ash'amur, aruetiise! Oya!">

"Yeah, if I keep.missing it will be."Sajin answers krylls comment just as he is finishing up adjusting the sight on his bow caster. He decides to move and heads up to some harder cover before reestablishing a sight picture. A slow breath out and he squeezes the trigger. The recieving end is having a reap bad day. "I cant understand you!" He responds to all the mando'a being spoken.

Once he's called on for the launcher, Hadrix engages maglocks to secure the plasma caster to his belt even as he stalks forward. Wading into the hail of blaster fire with the gait of a man who has known nothing else. Crimson bolts ricocheting off of his armor or burning away paint, one even striking solidly enough to gouge a small crater into the pauldron of his left shoulder.

His externals click off and he is back to radios, <<"Artillery firing...">> dropping to one knee as he goesOnce he's called on for the launcher, Hadrix engages maglocks to secure the plasma caster to his belt even as he stalks forward. Wading into the hail of blaster fire with the gait of a man who has known nothing else. Crimson bolts ricocheting off of his armor or burning away paint, one even striking solidly enough to gouge a small crater into his cuirass.

His externals click off and he is back to comms, <<"Artillery - clear back-blast zone ... Don't expect much.">> the bulky launcher brought to bear speaks with a sound like a dewback coughing as a small sun trailing fire and smoke spirals out for the sniper position.

The cuff on her helmet from Zee brings a grin to the doctor's face, unseen but heard in her voice, <<Roger that, Zee, on your six and attending to wounded in need. On your mark>> The group moves, crouching she runs with them after a call on general coms, <Anyone needing a medic I am on group leader's six and can move to your position> After dropping in behind a crate, she fires carefully from over the top and finishes one of the troops advancing towards their position.

Tharyn lets the Mandalorians do the heavy work, as while he has a shockball pitcher's arm he is content to engage with his blaster. While explosions rip through the distant sniper's platform, Tharyn's shooting remains unerring for the moment, coring a wounded mercenary's torso and leaving him dead on the deck. The next shot goes through another's bicep, leaving his arm dangling uselessly.

<< Two more dead, >> Tharyn reports, and seeks another target.

Kae's still at it, even after she gets nicked, and is forced to roll slightly to the side. She resets her rifle and begins firing multiple rounds down range, burst after burst in the general area of the attacking soldiers, still working to suppress their numbers...

Kae even starts humming a song to her self, it's happy, and sometimes can be heard in spits and spats through the intermittent den of fire... << Someone shooting.. Oop yeah, shootifying the snipers quite well!>> she says and well, yeah there's more laser fire going down range, Kae's having tons of fun firing the T-21....

The air around Narsai was alight with blaster fire, lights distorted and mingled by the heavy weather that clung to the Beskar'gem plating, flinging carbon and heated water onto the surface as she continued her charge. Weaving, twisting and moving with each step, the suppression of fire from their side and the bolts streaming through space left so little room to avoid injury and death, yet so far it had yet to claim her. A breath between trigger pulls as Narsai whirled around to draw a bead on another sniper, there was a flash of memory to a younger day, a younger woman sitting on a crate asking questions of her brother as he cleaned his blaster pistols.

~Why do you always charge to the front ner vod? There's a fine line between daring and foolish!~

~"Simple. I trust you'll shoot them first. Besides, if you're going to be daring? Do it fast enough the other guys are all dead before they can shoot you back."~

~"So if you're going to be crazy, do it quickly?"~

The memory moves and the trigger pulls, Narsai's bolt flying through the air to end the life of another sniper. She's already moving on a third, but clearly this man had learned of the woman in the open picking them off and the sizzling bolt whizzes past his evasive form. Unslowed, Narsai's voice comes over the comlink with words soft enough they might be as much to herself as spurring the others on. <<Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur! Oya!>>

Kryll watches Hadrix fire a rocket at the sniper ledge, reconsidering his plan but the missle seems to go wide. So, his plan is still a green light. He takes a look at the ledge and raises his S5 pistol, toggling to the cable. He lines up his shot and fires.. *click*, he looks at the pistol that has failed him and sighs, raising his rifle at the sniper team and firing two quick shots. The first one misses, but the second hits the injured sniper square in the torso as he was standing back up to line up a shot on the new invaders, putting him down for good. He looks at the S5 and sighs, talking to his pistol inside his helmet so it doesn't broadcast to the others, "Grom's weapon works fine, why can you not also work fine, are you overwhelmed by its glory? Your role is different, embrace your role."

The forces are beginning to dwindle, and the friendly squad is holding the line and pushing them BACK. The defining moment came when the rocket launcher released a sudden inescapable projectile that emerged from its tube with a sudden hiss and roar, before splitting and angling skyward. Fae, in the U-Wing had to avoid the sudden thing as it whistled by the bird's open hatch where Sumi was.

<"DREK!"> She screamed, reflexing back and glancing up as the projectile went into the sky.

Meanwhile the fire from below is constant. Kaelyn has maintained a constant burst of heavy laser fire keeping Wo's forces pinned down. The intercepted enemy comms crackles over the net thanks to Zero's hack.

<<"Why are the docks not taken yet?">>-- <<"Sir, it's been reinforced. An unknown party is pushing us back. We won't be able to hold this position.">>--<<"That supply dock is CRUCIAL to our operation, SOLDIER. Stand by.. I'm bringing reinforcements. Wo out.">>

<<"Ground team, be advised.. Wo has taken the field. Wo has taken the field.">> Sumi's voice is tense as the U-Wing pivots. Wo and his crew arrive from high up via jetpacks, landing near the north eastern barricade where a second group of local nationals were held up. His bright red beskar'gam matched the other eight that landed with them, realeasing a hail of blaster fire that obliterated the barricade force. <<"One entrenched position handled. Proceeding to the next. Follow me, vode!">> Screamed Wo.

OUR GROUP IS NOT NEAR WO yet, and we've still enemies to fight!

<<"KRIFF those snipers...">> Zee has an aerial view of the battlefield via her circling Seeker droid.. She sees the entrenched big guns and takes a step out of cover, launching off on her rockets over the heads of the Forces supressed by Kaelyn's T-21 to land amidst the snipers with her DL-44 quickly drawn to fire down in a pop - pop - pop Half turn aimmed at the back of the prone figures.

<<"Hadrix, we've lost one entrenched defense group to Wo's Mando'ade forces... We need to clear this path /now/...">> She may not have taken command of the ledge, but she's standing on high ground.

That was bad for everyone: Including Vader.

<<"They winged me, but I've had worse. Low priority.">> Tara moves surges again to keep up with Zee, pouring on the covering fire. Can't leave Narsai high and dry, after all. <<"Ni ganar gar norac, Mand'alor!">> The bolt from the Sentinel smashes into her target's shoulder pauldron and sends him spinning again, the followup from the DL burning through the small of his back. At the sound of Wo's entrance over the hacked comms, she grits her teeth. She can't wait to put a few bolts into that traitorous dar'manda slime...

Kae tilts her head, "Yup that's enough." She mutters, as she slings that massive rifle of hers... Quickly she picks up her carbine and stands now, the woman now aiming carefully before she starts cutting loose with aimed shots, trying to take down as many troopers as she can... When they dodge out of the way she blinks. "Well thought I had em down good.." She mutters and then shrugs, begins shooting some more.. In for a penny after all...

Sajin rises from his cover, still looking through the sight of his caster. His enemy tracking system helping him easily find another of the snipers. A loud report after he squeezes the trigger should have indicate another dead pesky sniper. He ducks down under some rubble. "Wait... there are more ofnyou but... on the bad guy side. Drek... this is as crazy as a Drikish Parliment hearing."

<<"Sajin, operate the fire and advance.">> the big man takes a step forward and the pack on his back ignites to send him high above the field on wings of fire. As he goes, letting his rocket launcher fall back on it's sling, the carbine cut down for it's pistol grip is drawn. Rapid fire crimson plasma blasts cratering all round the remaining sniper, one shot taking him in the chest even as Hadrix hits the ground, <"Kyr'am b'aruetiise! Parjai be'Kora! Parjai me'kyr'am!"> shouting into the faces of the man who still stands.

Another pair of blts go whistling downrange from Tharyn, who, aiming to pick out more targets, find it to be a tougher prospect than before on account of all the smoke and the lads cowering further behind the cover; this time a shot is missed, spent against a barricade, whilst another bores through another man's arm.

A rush of rocketry from Hadrix is certainly striking, but it's not to be left on its own. Rushing into the air, Narsai's armored form gracefully moves, weaving and then landing neatly to roll out into a swift pair of blaster bolt shots at the startled sniper...which both miss. Perhaps she'd done better with extreme distance than airborne transitions...or her luck had been spent not getting shot while remaining in the open.

Kryll holstering the S5 which has disappointed him, Kryll draws a vibrodagger with his left hand and squares up to engage the infantry with his e-11 rifle. Firing three blasts downrange, two strike targets and put them down for good, one who seemed to have been turning to disengage and he gets flipped feet over head as a blaster bolt goes downtown, the other hits a second infantryman in the toros. <"Time to move up people.">

Chance does not smile widely at the doctor tonight, as she exposes herself to take on the advancing troops down, another one in a more advanced position to her right clips her in the ribs from the side. Careful, to keep it off of general coms, she seethes to herself, the blast pierced the fiber armor driving a piece of it into her side. The contrail of the rocket fired by Hadrix lights the night, making anyone not in position visible to those without night vision. First, Zee then Hadrix leave their entrenched position to rocket into the dark forward to attack the sniper's position.

Ca'tra lays back against the crate listening to crackle of blast and the pebble of rain on her head. With a sigh, she pushes herself up and shoots. Her helmet's HUD adjusts to give her the back of a soldier who fires and then turns, she sights the man and he goes head first over a crate.

In a swift aside as things go mad... Hadrix points at the head of the sniper, points at his belt and nods suggestively...

The overwhelming force at the friendly barricade is finally wiped out, save for one stubborn sniper. That's when Wo lands in unison with his commandos and they move into position with practiced grace. <"TAKE TO COVER, AND FOLLOW ME! WE DO NOT DIE THIS DAY, MEN! HAHAHA!"> The sergeant that had welcomed the friendly team crested to fire from cover, but Wo shot him square in the face. <"LET'S GO! FIGHT USS!"> He screams, holding his smoking blaster up, charging the barricade.

His Mandalorians follow him, weapons drawn on a suicidal death charge.

Zee watches Hadrix and Narsai land around him, dipping her head to the pair of mando'ade who've taken position on the ledge with her... The last remaining sniper, that's Hadrix' kill, Zee'roh's attention has deviated away to the approaching chem-trails of rockets approaching.. <"Let's do this, Vode..."> Clapping Hadrix's shoulder, she takes a running jump off the ledge and misfires her Rockets, but they pick up a half second later and launcher her towards the approaching death squad of Mandos.

Her blaster slides down into the holster with a magnetic clunk and immediately her gauntlets light-up with neon-blue energy radiating across the barbbed knuckles as she spears directly into one of the eight warriors accompanying Wo. Engaging him in some aerial combat, slamming her fist into his armored flank with her helmet laid up against the side of his breast-plate in extreme CQ.

Letting out a scream of rage which fortunately isn't transmitted over comms, @emit

Tara unloads on Wo himself as he lands. The sentinel shot slams into his right thigh plate, scoring even the beskar. The DL rounds dont' hit anywhere near as accurately though, just grazing or ricocheting off his armor. <<"Reloading!">>. Dropping back behind cover, she ejects the spent pack from her DL-30 and slams a new one into place. <<"Up!">>

The DL rounds dont' hit anywhere near as accurately though, just grazing or ricocheting off his armor. <<"Reloading!">>. Dropping back behind cover, she ejects the spent pack from her DL-30 and slams a new one into place. <<"Up!">>

Sajin takes a moment to check the charge on his bowcaster. Two shots left and he had left any spare quarrels back at hom as to not waste the precious resource. Luckily for him, the opposing Mando forces are calling a challange to their group. <<"I thought you'd never ask!">> He rises, servos and gears whining with each movement of his power armor. THUD THUD THUD, sounds across the ground, reverberatiig over the battle ground as his booted feat fall heavily across the field. He drops the 'caster, letting it rest against his chest plate secure in a single point tactical sling. He reaches over his shoulder and slowly draw the massive Ebon Ryyk blade. It's an intricate design and very uniqe. He squares off with one of the Mando Squad, <<"I am Sajin, King of Drik. And now you know the name of the man who killed you.">> He's like a flash, blasting off at a full run. He lifts the massive blade up and chops down with might and fury. The beskar didn't hold up to the well crafted and finely sharpened death dealer. The Martial artist turns his body, bringing back the blade again before slicing across the Mando's mid section, cleaving a good part of it away as if it were an Axe chopping a tree leaving nothing but wanton destruction.

Kae sooo just isn't a gun 'bunny'. This is quite evident when she's suddenly engaged not with one, but with two Mandalorians.

Here's the other thing, Kae charges in, staying low, then suddenly sidesteps a punch, the girl using the barrel of her rifle to parry it, just as she leaps, and turns sideways in mid air, her legs scissoring around the Mandalorian's head as she continues to spin. She uses her body weight and rotation to flip the fellow over, both she and him going to the ground, before she's rolling forward, and then to her feet, as she stands she brings her rifle around for a quick shot at the first Mandalorian, the blast nearly cutting his leg off, and putting him completely out of the fight, armor or not.

Her fighting style is well, efficient, compact, and flowing, not really waisting much motion and using her strengths and the enemy's weaknesses to her full advantage. The other thing, is she's quite silent as she's fighting now, no grunts, no yells, just simply... business...

She ducks and tumbles forward, dodging out of the way of a Mandalorian, then sidestepping a kick, before she stoops low, hooking her right elbow inside his right thigh, and bringing her left arm up, upends the Mandalorian. Two more quick blasts to the man's chest ends him quite neatly...

Those that might know Kae, might be more than a little confused as to why she's suddenly some kind of hand to hand expert...

Nodding to Zee, the pistol gripped carbine is swapped for yet another weapon in the big man's arsenal. Unlike many of his weapons, this one isn't gigantic... but it does look small in his hands as he simply starts to walk towards Wo, stepping off of the edge right behind Zee and then lifting into the air once more.

He's been here thousands of times in his life. Hadrix hears the footfalls of he and his creche-mates at six, eight, twelve, the roar of the combat training cadre, the battlefields in the White, blade in hand, thrust into the body of another.

Escaping Starkiller base. The blade in his hand buzzes to life, becoming almost ethereal from its vibrations. His lips move, and Gripper acts of reflex to disengage his comms. "Not center or side, not the chink you have spy'd, into stomach twist and rip. Grip and press till spine is found..." He learned it from the training masters of the creche. He was seven. Sometimes old habits are nightmares.

<"Dar'manda!"> his externals click online when his words change. <"Tonight you sleep in hell!"> and he swings, aiming for the stomach... where there aren't bones beneath the armor.

Holding her side, Ca'tra rounds the crate and trots forward, zig zagging between the obstacles to drop behind one before continuing forward. The melee is where she wants to be, next to Hadrix and Zee but she holds back knowing she can't contribute much in her condition. Her HUD gives her the position of one of the Mandalorian force, curled against the side of her crate she shoots the armored figure in the leg.

While others draw blades and stun gloves to meet the charge of the Mandalorians, Tharyn takes a diferent tack. His face unseen, the mercenary shoves his pistol back into its holster and slides over his gaunleted hands a pair of chunky durasteel knuckles that look like they were cut and milled from an industrial gear (which they were.) Thus armed, Tharyn doesn't wait for the Mandalorians to reach him - he charges forward, heedless of the rest of the red-armored warriors, and looses a roaring whoop as he nears one. The whoop becomes a leap, becomes a flying punch that strikes the rogue Mandalorian squarely in the chest with the force of a man bearing at least twice the muscle mass of the willowy fighter, and suddenly the plodding shooter is an engine of precision brutality.

The warrior is immediately staggered, all that plating doing nothing against all that kinetic energy, allowing Tharyn to drive his fist now into the man's face - a blow that this time drives four knuckle-sized dents into durasteel and shatters the tough plastoid visor. Pieces of visualizer optics fill his eyes as the Mandalorian's head snaps back so hard that his neck breaks, and he falls back blind and dying, paralyzed and unable to fill his lungs. Tharyn flows past him as he drops like a stone, doomed to die in the armor in which he lived. Fitting, but also ignoble. He wasn't killed by one of his own, after all.

The blade that Narsai draws to her hand isn't particularly intimidating when compared to the crackling electricity or the energetic Vibroswords of the others, a rather simple sword that's particularly primative when compared to the heavy blaster pistol the red-clad Reviver carries. Still, with a surge of motion the weapon is flashing through the air. While blaster bolts and other weapons swing towards Raul, Narsai surges forwards and twists, slashing her blade in a pair of swift cuts that rip into the crime boss' stomach and then open a wound on his back.

Still, the young woman doesn't turn to -stay- on that foe, instead she ducks low and surges upwards, her palm of her free hand coming to the pommel of her weapon before she stabs upwards with a cry. The blade stabs forwards, burying itself into the depths of the helmet with a resounding ring of internal impact. She'd armed beneath the hostile Mando's helmet and above the potential gorget some armor sported to deadly effect. Drawing her weapon back, the heavy rain already licked at the traces of red on the steel blade as she turned to the remaining targets.

Kryll stands up and readies his rifle at the leader of this mando pack, he waits, allowing those who are in close fighting to get their attacks. Whenever a friendly steps clear or allows a free shot, he fires, one miss, one hit, and a final miss. He ensures the safety of his team first over the ability to do damage.

<"Oya Manda! Kyr'am at Aruetiise!" Oya Kote!"> Charging from her cover now that blaster fire is no longer sleeting down like rain, Tara bounds around to behind Wo given that he's currently heavily distracted with the melee fighters up front. She pours fire into the traitor's back, most of the rounds ricocheting off the beskar plating, but one makes it through.

Zee'roh, in tight against the mando she'd rocketed into, hits the ground in a rain of dirt hurling out around them and hurls him off with both feet kicking straight up and out. She comes up into a crouch, one hand out in a three fingered pedistal, right knee bent, left out behind her for support. Rushing towards him as he's busy trying to right himself after smacking a stack of crates, he never sees her coming.

She's surprisingly agile in her heavy armor, moving through his failed attempt to defend himself to wrap her armed gauntlet around the underside of his beskar helmet just where the seam meets his pauldron and neck-guard. The inside of her left foot stomps down into the back of his knee, bringing him down onto it hard upon the deck-plates as her left hand circles over to grab the pointed junction just beneath the T-Visor... Both arms twist outward..

The resounding crunch-pop is accentuated by his lifeless armored body CLANKING against the durosteel landing pad.. <<"Tal par te tal verda...">> Breathing in deeply, she turns back towards her Vode and gathered mercenaries, gauntlets discharging their electricity as her hand falls down upon the DL-44s grip.

Sajin stands over the dead lump of Beskar'gam, oozing blood from the lacerations caused by the King's MIGHT RYYK BLADE. He turns his helmeted head and stomps towards his next target. His blade drags across the ground, sparking when it hits a rock bit of debris. As he comes upon another Mando the Hapan stops and stands there a moment, Squaring off with the armored villian. He's not as dramatic this time, his feet sliding into position. There is a moment of almost calm before the King of Drik strikes. It is like lightning, and the sound of the blade smashing into Beskar and through it sliding through flesh, meat, and bone like that of thunder in a storm. The first strike is cripling, sending the Mando staggering back. The second is even more devestating as the helmeted dead seperates from the rest of his body and rolls off, down, and away from the battle. Sajin continues past him, on the way towards Roul, as the body collapses onto the ground.

A hunk of the traitor's armor clattering across the ground even as Hadrix is pushed back, using his speed as much as his strength. The palm of one gauntlet slaps aside the short blade aimed for his neck and Hadrix moves like lightning. Far fast than a man of his size would be expected to be.

It's like he and Sumi are siblings for the fluidity of their movements. The big man's blade is thrust, and turned away by armor, cut down in a hard slash, deflected by the blade.

<<"Someone get a blade behind this hunk of osik...">>

The double wound begins to take a toll on Ca'tra. When she stands she has trouble lifting her arm. Hand trembling she misses her shot and sits down heavily back against the crate that sheltered her.

Kae's hit, she's hit bad too, and the woman rolls forward with the impact, her free hand grabbing at her back as she winces and exhails through her teeth.

There's another Mando though, and she quickly brings her carbine up, firing off a snapshot that drops the last of Rao's minions where he stands...

Kae exhails, breathing shallow as she tries to stabilize her weapon in both hands now and fires a few wide shots at Raul.... Both missing, one splashing into the ground somewhere before his feet...

Kae then surges to her feet long enough to lunge into cover, where she again winces and hisses through her teeth as she checks her back, looking at her armor's display... "Jeeze, burns to my back, armor took the worst of it... Should heal up in time.... Lotsa time." She mutters to her self, and she's then rolling to her knees now, laying her carbine on top of the crates she has taken cover behind.

With the others being torn down around him, Tharyn's whirlwind of brutal strikes pours straight into the Mandalorian leader. Tharyn has no idea of the politics of the Mandalorians - he is ignorant of so much of the galaxy - but the man can be punched, and punching will occur.

The fluidity of his movements are such that he seems to flow into the crouch that sees him drive a fist into Raul's leg, just above the knee - a strike that rattles bones and beskar alike - only to walk a multitude of brief and brutal punches up the man's chest as if Tharyn were seeking to gouge handholds in his torso. No words, no challenge, just precise breathing, fluid movement, terrifying brutality in every punch. He is a machine now, give over to the driving rhythm of violence and the ringing of chorus of durasteel on besk'ar plate.

Standing still and holding his ground, Kryll continues to wait for openings to fire at Raul. One miss, two miss, three hits him in the left leg. Hopefully that slows him down a little more.

The impact of the bolt against her back is felt by Narsai, but not in the way that the shooter probably hoped. Hitting perfectly on the beskar plating of her cuirass to spash the impact and heat away harmlessly. She turns, but the man is already dropped by the attacks of the others. Well then. With a cry she leaps into the fray, swinging and slicing her blade into the flank of Raul. She cuts deep, but the man seems to refuse to fall down.

Zee is stalking across the battlefield, hand on her blaster, poncho blowing slightly in the hard wind after a storm... the rain pelts her armor and rolls down her visor, through the ridges of her armored chest, across the bloody handprint on her left pauldron.. This man had once been Clan Ryder, had betrayed her Alorir and given himself over to greed, corruption, and malcontents.

She is not an angry woman, not by nature, but something about his continued existance offends her.

Her thumb disengages the maglock seal on her holster as she approaches and quickdraws the heavy blaster, bending her wrist to get it into a firing position quickly. Three bursts of the heavy weapon snap out in rapid succession, peppering the Fallen Mandalorian's left thigh, leg, and chest. The last coming from an out-stretched grip.

A round from Wo slams into her thigh, burning most of the way through her plate, and Tara swears. Loudly. Fortunately, it's mostly muffled by her helmet. <<"I need a shabla medic!">> She fires towards the shabuir himself, Sentinel punching through his backplate, before she collapses into cover next to Ca'tra. <"Shabuir got me... Burned through the thigh plate..."> Hissing with pain through her teeth, she unclips the damaged armor so the medic has better access to the injury.

Sajin picks up the pace a bit as he zeros in on Raul, until he's up at a full run. It's likely Raul can hear his noisy power-armor coming, clanking it's way towards the decimated Mandalorian's leader. Sajin's blade comes down hard and cuts deep into Raul's left arm as it comes up to block. The blade being stuck there leaves the war vet an opening to slice at his Left leg. Sajin lets out a grunt of pain before pulling the blade from Raul and then swining hard to strike against his Torso with great force and ability.

<"Zee'ika, Oya!"> Taking advantage of her shots and the other distractions being levied against the man! <"Zee! Flanking my two!"> indicators in his hud being blinked to be sent to his vod even as he swings past Wo, blade lashing out to cut into the armor the man's grieves, another deep groove, another chink added to the armor others to use as Hadrix slips to one side.

Ca'tra has no compunctions about ganging up on the man, she stands, wobbly still and fires on Wo. The red besk'ar armor is showing the multiple attacks, scorch marks and holes in the strong fiber webbing that weaves the suit together. Her shot takes him in a weak spot on his right arm.

It hurts, Kae's been shot before,t his hurts just as bad. She just continues breathing steadily, trying to breath deap to manage the pain, before taking careful aim.... She waits for her shot, using the box to help stabilize her hands, then squeezes the firing stud. She dead-centeres the man's chest.... Burning a big hole in that armor of his, even if it is Beskar...

Kae's second shot is rushed a bit, this zipping by the man's shoulder, before she takes another deep breath, steadies and puts her third shot into the man's leg........

Kae then stands slightly, keeping her blaster leveled as she says, probably a bit too calmly over her comlink << Need Medical attention here. Torso, over the left shoulder blade>> She says through coms as she looks for the next shot.. She knows the raging Mando is probably about to go down, but she's still trying herbest to wait her next attack.

Struck hard in the chest by the Mandalorian chief, Tharyn does not cease in his assault. Staggered but a moment by Raul's heavy gauntlet, the mercenary's fists seem to be pushed forward in their ferocity, pounding shallow dents in the great warrior's breastplate by this renewed flurry of blows. Flesh bruises, muscles tear, and ribs crack under the assault, and finally the mighty Mandalorian's strength leaves him.

Tharyn knows this moment well, and counts appropriate coup. Stepping back, he lifts an armored bootheel and drives it into the man's already wounded leg, this time tearing the kneecap halfway free despite the armor that caps it - the right force, the proper angle. Down he goes, bellowing with pain, holding himself up as best he can, and the battle is finally done.

Tharyn steps away, knowing well in whose hands the kill should lie. A nod to Sumi and the other Mandalorians, and he, panting behind his helm, falls into line.

Blades and blaster bolts finally fell the 'beast' that is Raul, leading to sudden silence of combat. With the winking out of the last target indicator, Narsai flicks her blade and sheathes it in a practiced motion. Only now do her shoulders sag as addrenaline begins to leave her and her arms raise to shake the tension of the post-rush out. "<<Well done,>>" she speaks, looking among those gather and then raising a hand towards the ship where Sumi and the 'Lady' watch overhead. "<<Target is confirmed down. We got him ner vod.>>

She steps back, perhaps expecting the rest of Clan Kora to speak up or Sumi herself to be trying to visualize, and instead steps to clap Tara on the shoulder in passing before turning to look over at the doctor. She'd best be standing, they still had wounded!

Rual Wo is down. Raul. Wo. Is. Down. Sumi watched in disbelief as Fae finally got the U-Wing under control, as her team effectively took the best soldier she'd ever known.. down.

Raul landed in a collective puddle of blood and laughed, his voice still emitting from his helmet as the rain fell all around him.

<"Finally."> He said, his voice filled with relief, and his head laid back. <"..finally."> He repeated.

Raul took a deep breath, his body broken and in pain but it didn't seem to matter. He knew his death was inevitable. He watched the lightning strike overhead, heard the footsteps of those around him watching his final moments.

Sumi zipped down using the quickrope and landed nearby. She stepped closer to his fallen body, nodding to her friends as he came to view. <"Sumi Ryder.. our princess.. Haha.. This was your doing.."> He said, coughing, still mocking her with the title of Princess, a moniker they gave her some 60 cycles ago. <"No, Wo. It was yours. Now, be about your death, and leave this galaxy better than when you were in it.">

<"Tell Sana.. I'm.. sorry.">

Wo's head turns to one side then and his chest falls for the final time. Raul Wo was dead. Sumi turned from the body then content to leave him. <"Mission complete, everyone. Good work. Let's pack these bodies up and go home.">
