MandalMotors Arc: Finale

OOC Date: Febuary 19, 2016
Location: Mandalore
Participants: Russ Ordo, Narsai Ordo, Rax Vaelus, Oriana

Russ escorts Oriana around the Malachor, it is not the first time she has been aboard the large ship but it is the first time she is gettting the full tour of all the nitty gritty parts of the ship. After all it is best to know of your allies capabilities come a war. They are in deep space and nearing the end of their tour when warning lights start to flash throughout the ship and an alarm tone starts to peel out of the internal speakers, the tone is interrupted every few seconds with a robotic voice "All hands report to battle stations." Russ pauses in his stride for a moment, his hand reaching out to lightly touch Oriana's arm as he reads something coming up in his heads up display. He reaches up and taps the side of his helmet, activating his hands free communication. "Command team please report to the bridge immediately, we have an urgent distress call we need to respond to."

It's been one hell of a week for Oriana. And not in the best of ways. She is bruised across her cheek and the side of her nose, it's not those faded colours because it's healing. One is at the base of her skull, healing but darker as the blow was harder. And that's the ones that are seen. There is, in her movements, something that suggests that she is favouring the right side of her stomach, possibly injured there. Added to that she is sick, so sometimes there is a sneeze, or cough. But most of all, those big brown eyes are not quite the same, almost like something stomped out a part of her spirit and the undertone is more mechanical than anything else. No, it's not been a great week.

Clad in some basic armour, and not use to it, she shifts a bit while following Russ with interest, asked questions to things, in general take in the ship and it's leader, best to know your allies of course. When they stop and lights flash she looks up and frowns a bit, some thought crossing her eyes. When her arm is touched she blinks, coming back to reality and nods a bit, her hair, which is pulled back, swaying a bit behind her. "Never a dull moment." Though she sounds worried over the distress, and curious.

Laika herself had been having a week that was, by comparison, pretty tame. Working on her own training after their most recent mission, the former slave had actually delved into the idea of learning a little more about the slicing she'd managed to mostly fumble her way through last time. Her quarters might only have a bed roll and a punching bag in them, but now? She'd added a datapad! When the call to gather comes through? The Cathar makes her way up to the deck, clipping the last loose pieces of her armor save her helmet into place. Arriving on the bridge, Rax looks a bit surprised to see Oriana. Though he looks less comfortable in them than he did before his 'vacation' on the Finalizer, Rax has no better battle garb than the dark maroon gi and a black tunic wrapped around it, belted at the waist. He's wearing loose black pants as well, tucked into his tall boots, but he does not wear them as well as he did before. The man seems a bit uncomfortable in the garb. "Welcome aboard the Malachor. I guess it'll take some getting used to, seeing you arrive when the Command team is assembled." He smirks faintly, shrugging, "Frankly. I'm a little surprised I'm allowed here myself, sometimes."

Narsai was still...pretty damn sore. The bacta shortage had hit everyone hard and those blaster bolt wounds of hers were only a little better. Seems that getting time with their medics was getting harder and harder to make. Having managed the whincing task of getting into her full armor the younger Mandalorian sibling arrives on the bridge with her helmet tucked under her arm, tilting her head to the side. "Distress call? Who is in trouble?"

Russ arrives on bridge just a moment after the others, his own rather minor wounds pulling slightly as he moves over to the holotable. "Mandal Motors is under attack. Apparently we hit them harder than we thought when we took out their factory. Some of their new investors must have been snapping at their heels pretty hard i think, or hell maybe they couldn't pay off some of their debts. Either way they have gone balls to the wall now. It looks like their targets are the MandalMotors board of directors and the manufacturing departments Mandalorian Iron working tools and database. They have a few ships in orbit, reports are hazy but it looks like the Mandalorian security force has been pushed back for now. I don't think we are dealing with the same pirate scum we were dealing with earlier."

The unfamiliar armour makes her shift, and drive up the craving to have her own back on. But, it's not here. Eyes move to the others as they arrive, Laikia and Narsai, but then stop at Rax and linger there a second. She frowns briefly, turns her head and coughs a hand going to her right side as the pain from the new wound sparks up and then she breaths it out, with a clearing of her throat to regard him with more focus. "Russ and I will need to work together if our people are to join. So, I guess being here may be more frequent?" Explains the woman with a small shrug, with a slight reassuring smile. "No armour? I think you're crazy." She then turns to look at Russ as he explains what's going on, nodding some, the only other sounds are a sneeze here and there, or the mask of a cough.

"Wounded animals cornered are the ones that will tear you apart," Laika comments, frowning a little and nodding her head to Oriana before crossing her arms over her chest. "That's a lot of targets to protect. If we've got to take out a fleet, protect the factory and the board of directors all in one. How are we going to spread to do that without spreading too thin?"

Rax Vaelus smirks as he's lingered on, folding his arms. "What's wrong? Never seen an unarmored Mandalorian?" He grins, waving it off idly, his eyes narrowed with amusement and mischief, "Don't worry, neither have I." He shrugs then, dropping his arms, "Hey, I haven't earned any armor here. So I'm going with what I've got. At least it's not my birthday suit...though I am told it inspires terror in those who behold it on the battlefield." He shrugs, smirking a bit. Then he goes serious, nodding to Russ, Laika, and Narsai, clasping his hands behind his back and listening.

"It means they shoot at him first," Narsai says dryly before nodding her head back towards Russ and listening to Russ' summary of the problem. A low whistle and she exhales a breath before looking at Russ. "Is this the same fleet that we had to deal with when we rescued the prisoners? If they still outnumber the Malachor we don't have the firepower to take them in the sky even with my upgrades. We'd be better to focus on saving our people first."

Russ nods to Laika and Narsai "The Enemy ships are clearly too much for us to handle on our lonesome. They have far to much to match and then overpower the Malachor. However the Mandalorian defence force is scrambling to counter the threat themselves. They are just not used to responding to something this large so quickly however, they are not what they used to be." He pauses for a moment and looks around the faces displayed infront of him "We will be going into battle with our shields fully raised with all extra power diverted there. We are trying to hold their attention as much as possible, while the Mandalorian fleet mobilizes. As soon as we leave hyperspace out entire ground force will be launching in our gauntlets and troop transport. So we will take one objective with some support, and the rest of our troops will head for the other. The thing is what we do think is more important to defend?"

Oriana returns her gaze to Rax, eyeing him, her own narrowed some. Considering what he had said she sighs and shakes her head, that action alone says 'helpless' to him, with the smirk, which grows a bit as Narsai speaks up about him being shot at first. "You could buy armour, you know." A hand points to her own, followed by a slight cringe of pain. "But that's why woman have the brains."

Noting the frown from Laika she gets a passing glance, but then returns her attention on Russ, she bites her lip a bit and knits her brows together. She isn't sure on their tatics, nor is she sure on the area they are talking about, this also being a learning experience so she stands quickly, stiffly, sickly, rubbing the bruise on her face as she waits to hear the ideas.

"Both," Laika says with a grunt. "We need the factory, but we need the people who run it to be sympathetic to our cause. For all we know that've set this up to replace the board with their own people is they wipe it out." A look at the other warriors and the Cathar raises a hand. "My vote? We go for the board of directors. If nothing else, they'll owe us one. Our troops are better sent to the factories." Rax Vaelus shrugs helplessly at Ori's commentary, but he smiles a bit as he listens to the others... "The databases are the most important targets... If we lose those, we lose a lot. But...is that how we want to be seen?" He sighs, thinking things over, looking down and aside, "Saving the Board will get us the good will of the company, and maybe the people. But we'll lose that hardware." Closing his eyes, he thinks for several long moments. "...We should save the board. It's the right thing to do."

"I agree," Narsai speaks, looking at the others. "We'll let our men handle the factory. Even those that were Deathwatch before they joined us are trained to fight hard. Rescue is the more precise work and it's our responcibility." Running her fingers through her hair for a moment she exhales. "Send everything we have to protect that factory and to protect those databases, we'll see to the board." A thought occurs and she looks on to Oriana. "If ever there was a time to call your friends..."

"Alright then. Lets get to the hanger. We will be taking a gauntlet fighter, Narsai aim for the landing pad on the roof. We will be flying right into heavy resistance, but it will be the only way to disrupt the opposing operation enough to hopefully get to the board while they are all still alive." Russ nods to the others as he taps the side of his helmet once more "Alright everyone has their orders, as soon as the dropships are launched the Malachor will be sealing it's hanger. They will be down to only their operating crew, lets just hope they can last long enough for the Mandalorian Security Fleet to respond."

Oriana has fallen silent briefly, then nods slowly. "It would be." She frowns, tenses her jaw and thinks this over. "If I have a second I can -try- to see if I can pull someone, then meet you there. It'll only take a second to send out a message. But I know there were missions being done that's tied us up lately."

Laika holsters her own pistol as they head for the hanger, running her tongue over her fangs and then sliding her helmet into place. "They'll hold out. They have no other option." With that the Cathar is making her way for the lift down to the hanger and trying not to think about another dizzying Narsai-under-fire flight thats in her future. With a sharp turn, Rax stalks from the bridge, his eyes blazing with intensity as he gets into his pre-battle prep phase. He is clearly trying hard not to smirk as he boards the lift--a battle he appears to be making earnestly, as the look rises and fades several times.

Narsai nods her head, looking back at Oriana and then giving her brother a half-salute while she turns to the lift. Another drop in a gauntlet fighter rather then the Thunderheart, but even with better armor and firepower her baby would be a big shining bullseye...that doesn't mean she has to like it though. "Be ready," she says as they head for the hanger. "This is going to be a rough one."

Coming out of Hyperspace is instantly rough, shots rain down on the Malachor as though it was expected. Floating in space is a tight formation of waiting ships, a couple of CR92a Assassin-class corvette and a Marauder class almost identical to the Malachor all three of the ships have a stylised bird of the prey emblazoned on them in red. The Malachor shakes under the combined firepower of the three ships it's shield taking a signifigant pounding as their own guns return fire. It will give a good account of itself but it is clear the Malachor is hopelessly outgunned even with it's exemplery crew.

The hanger doors slam open and the Mandalorian Reviver ships push out into space at full speed, the rain of fire proving devastating as one of the Gauntlet class fighters takes a heavy hit shearing off a couple of its weapons. The only saving grace so far is the lack of opposing fighters, they are clearly engaged elsewhere for now. But even so it is going to be a bumpy ride down to the surface

At 5'2, this human isn't exactly tall. The pale skinned figure's deep red hair sits messy at her shoulders and the tips are often done up in some bright color or another. She's got bangs that could obscure her vision if not for her constantly brushing it away from her face. Her eyes are a soft green, with a hint of wild light in them. Lithe and toned the woman has the body and grace of a dancer with the light footed skill of a warrior.

Perhaps the truest evidence of her femininity is her slim perfectly shaped figure, enough to make one look twice. A toned and flat belly blends into a slim waist and then gives way to the curvy flare of her hips and long, powerful legs. Commonly She wears a fitted suit of body armor almost reminicent of a 'shadowsuit' but clearly formed to function as a flight suit.

The outer surface of the armor is comprised leather-like fibre weave with beskar'gem plating that offers a greater mobility at the cost of some protection. The blue-black armor fits perfectly against her body's major areas, figure hugging to the point one might wonder how she moves so easily. While the suit clings to her form like a second skin secured to her hip in a holster her pistol commonly rests along with a few other items on her belt.

Time to work fast! Narsai's hands guide the fighter through the hail of blaster fire and death towards their target, most of their power dedicated to thrusters to keep them ahead of the danger rather then protected from direct impact. The Gauntlet shields wouldn't do a damn thing against guns that big anyway. Blasting through the sky the redhead pilot gives a bit of a grunt and brings the ship twisting and diving towards their destination. "Be ready to jump!"

Rocking in his chair, strapped down, Rax's head just lolls bobs, taking the punishing turbulence in stride. His eyes are closed, and the battle fury appears to have subsided. For now, anyway. His only weapon is a blaster pistol, with both his unique swords long gone. Surprisingly sparse, those.

This ride is a lot better than the last one she had done into danger. Nobody here smells like dragon piss. That's a benefit. Oriana is gritting her teeth through all the bumps each one does a good service to that wound of her stomach, causing pain to her body. As best as she can she uses her breath to balance it, and her military training as an aid. Her head is down, and she mutters something to herself, in some unknown language. It's more like she is talking to herself, or reciting some sort of prayer. Hands are tight on her blaster which sits on her lap.

Laika herself is doing the same thing she always does with this sort of drop. Her eyes are closed and her hands are gripping the harness keeping her in place while she waits for the signal that it's time to drop. There's plenty of conflict soon that she's going to leep into, for now she'll focus on keeping her lunch.

Breaking through Atmo and heading at their target it becomes clear where the mercenery fighter support is. Wreaking hell over the MandalMotors security force and keeping back any local Mandalorian security efforts. A wing of fighters break off at the approach of the gauntlet class fighter, lasers flying all around the nimble though larger than normal fighter. Narsai's piloting seems erratic, however to a trained eye it is beautiful and graceful the lasers barely glancing the shield.

Approaching the landing pad atop the MandalMotors corporate building Narsai can see it. Theya re not the first with this though. A Mercenery landing craft is on the spot the Gauntlet needs to make use of, clearly of the same company as those above the red bird of prey emblazoned on the side of the craft. And barely visible on the chest of the five men milling around it.

"Drop fast and get clear! I don't want us getting hit on the landing pad!" Narsai calls and sweeps in, flicking the switch to clear the rest of the team to drop as the craft is made to let warriors do. She'll have to land to join the fight herself, but that doesn't mean she wants the others in the same risk as she is when she touches down. Moving as soon as they thud, Rax is unbuckled and out toward the hatch in the blink of an eye. Pistol drawn, he races first into the fray, keeping low and seeking over as he fires a couple shots to keep enemies down!

With a touch of stiffness Oriana is up, as quick as can be. She'd follow out behind Rax, blaster in hand, crouched low, ready for attack or, to attack, however it may be.

Landing low in a crouch on the ground after that buzzer rings, Laika takes off at a sprint. She's rushing the enemy of course, her weapon up in her hand and pointed at the mercs as they begin their attack. Up close is where she's trying to be, but closing the distance while shooting a blaster pistol isn't a terrible idea either, so her own pistol is in her hand as she blasts several bolts their way.

Narsai's about to bail from the gauntlet fighter herself, but not before giving her team some cover and the mercs a little screw you. Squeezing the trigger on her controls, the fighter's cannons blast and slam into the parked and unsheilded dropship heavily...but Narsai's not sticking around to assess the damage. A parked fighter is a sitting duck after all! Diving behind cover, Rax fires a couple blasts across the distance, one shot going ridiculously wide...and the other just barely breezing past the man's face. Rax grins at that near miss...before returning fire forces him down into cover, his back against it!

Coming out and moving as quickly as she can, her blaster is up and ready. First person she spots, the gun is fired. Oriana's first shot hits it's target, and the second seems to miss. She then goes to find a place for cover as well.

Laika is charging, but her blaster pistol fires twice at the mercs who duck and weave in a way that makes her whince. After having gone from fighting Deathwatch to just lazy pirates? She'd perhaps gotten too accustomed to fighting people they easily out-class. This could be a lot harder then she'd thought.

Russ grins as he hits his seat release as Narsai allows the drop. His jetpack flares as he observes the situation for a moment, watching his allies dive into combat as the Merceneries ship explodes behind them throwing one clear of the building plummeting to the ground far below another screams as he is thrown from his feet a large piece of shrapnel jutting from his shoulder. Russ throws himself into the combat now, hitting the ground at speed coming up ina roll and letting out a flurry of six bolts. Every one of them find their targets, the three pirates still standing hit the ground two holes smoking in each of them. Laika can smell the ozone of the blaster bolt as it wings past her nose. Russ stands slowly sliding both of his blasters into their holsters. "Ok lets get inside. We need to secure the targets quickly."

Inside is chaos, or at least it was. Wall panels are blackened by carbon scoring from blaster fore. Bodies litter the hallways, both mercenery and security force alike. Smoke still drifts near the ceiling and the air smells heavily of ozone and blood. Up ahead they can hear the bark of orders being given. Looking around the corner, there are six men. All of them bear the Birds of Prey mark, one of them is clearly the officer as he gestures out his orders.

"Showoff," Narsai's voice comes over her Vox as she catches up to the others, but there's a grin to her voice as she nods at her brother and moves in formation with the other. The moment they push inside? Narsai takes the initiative, truth is they need to work hard and fast if they even want the slightest chance of getting the board members out alive. Advancing forward and hoping she can find cover, Narsai's E-11 comes to life with a spitting burst of blasterfire, the first bolt finding its mark. When Narsai fails to bring down the officer, a pair of bolts come out of nowhere, catching the man first in the shoulder and then in the face as he spins to the ground, out of the fight. Dashing forward, Rax is running for the building, all illusion of safety gone. Leaping over a crate and parkouring his way towards the entrance, he actually performs a one-handed forward spring, vaulting over the corpses and finally into cover.

Oriana isn't a talker when it comes to fighting, never has been. But she watches Russ shoot, all them hit. Then Narsai is out, she shoots, hits, and then Rax is doing this, thing, one handed flip thing. And after passing a brief glance to Laika too she follows everyone in, shoots her blaster, misses, which sucks but goes to dodge for cover.

Laika just rushes forwards, weaving her way between blaster bolts as she fires yet again and still doesn't find her mark. No wonder she prefers her claws! Giving a little hiss or anger she ducks under the fire and keeps racing up the hallway, using the other Reviver's fire for cover while she charges the merc's position.

Into the mouth of hell they go again. The hallways restrict cover and lines of fire. But that plays to the heavier armoured warriors advantage. The officer drops first the combined efforts of Narsai and Rax dropping him to the ground in a burst of powerful laser bolts. The hallways fill with more fire as the the other Mandalorian Revivers join the fray, and the Birds of Prey mercs return fire. Another of the mercs drop to Russ's accurate fire, but he does not have the time to take aim now as return fire skirts close to him. He fires rapidly to give himself cover, the majority miss but one more finds it's mark scoring a heavy hit on the arm of one of the mercs.

And now the hallway is one big tunnel of blaster bolts. Narsai pushes forwards laying down yet more automatic fire from her small carbine. Her bolts don't find their mark, but they're at least keeping a little more pressure on the Birds of Prey mercs and hopefully giving Laika the cover she needs to get in close. Pinned down by heavy fire Rax can only manage to snap off a few hasty, barely-aimed shots. Ducking his head back down under cover, Rax calls out, "We need armor up front! Break these lines with a grenade!"

Oriana shoots off two more shots, both miss. Now she sputters something out, in her native tongue, it's brief and sharp but one could tell if they knew what was said, they'd be blushing. "On it." Is the only reply in basic throw out in regards to the grenade, because it's her thing. The downside she needs to stand a bit to do it, which exposes her cover. Standing quick she pulls the pin out with her teeth and hucks it towards the group. Some of them fall, badly injured as the grenade sounds off with a thundering boom, some others are thrown back, but don't see badly hurt.

The grenade explodes before she gets to the target, adding a smokey haze for the Cathar to leap through onto one of the poor remaining mercs. Landing on his shoulders and twisting mid-air she slams the man face first into the floor...and then proceeds to punch him twice, hard, in the back of the head with her knuckles.

Russ walks down the corridor after the blast from the grenade brings the fight to a pretty early close. Two bodies turned to not much more than Salsa, two more flung from their feet. Laika takes one as Russ takes the other. Walking over him as he riddles the body with blaster bolts.

The party moves quickly through the building now. Finally they lay eyes on the targets, the board of directors are being hussled out of the boardroom. Heavily escorted by merceneries. The view of them is almost immediatly blocked though as another merc squad rounds a corner ahead of them, a warcry on their lips as they charge foward with vibroblades scrapping along the walls and floor.

Usually, this is where Narsai would charge the line with her blade drawn and start battling the mercs in close combat...but she hadn't fully healed from the last time she'd done that and Bacta was really hard to get your hands on lately. Instead she drops to a knee and fires another short sharp burst, winging one and dropping the other with two smoking holes where his heart used to be. Sighs as plasma races overhead. "For want of a single blade... Damn." Shaking his head slowly, Rax tries to pop off a shot or two, but it's just no good. "We're pinned her, Reviver. We're going nowhere as long as they have us under suppressing fire."

Suppressed is apparently not a word Laika understands. Dropping to all fours she bounds at the men and then leaps into the melee, throwing punches and kicks with her armored limbs. While it's not nearly as lethal as a blade or a blaster bolt it's certainly enough to leave one merc staggering clutching his now broken nose.

Three men left. Laika races off to face one. Russ focuses on the other two, he moves foward again his pistols flying out of his holsters to meet his hands. He fires twice and one of the men collapses to the floor his skull laid bare by blaster fre, his corpse skids a few metres. The second reaches Russ and swings his sword which Russ parries with his vambrace, sparks flying as the blade skims along. Russ grins unseen beneath his helmet as he whips his pistol back up and fires it three times into the mans chest. He falls. The only one left is the one Laika is facing off with. Down the end of the corridor the suppressing fire slows as the board members are pulled around the next corner of interwoven corridors. They are so close.

Rounding the next corner it is clear they really want to keep their hands on these board members. Russ dives back before he fully round the corner, an uncountable number of blaster bolts slamming into the pristine wall behind the area he had just vacated. He growls lowly his voice coming over the comms "What is it with these fuckers and E-Webs? They have a position mid way downt he corridor. E-Web and portable cover. We need to take it now or they will get away with the board."

There's plenty of others in their crew that have claim to being snipers, but when the moment comes? You've gotta step up. Narsai strides forwards as the mounted gun swings their way and peers a bright green eye down the small scope atop her carbine. Exhaling a breath she doesn't even know she's holding she squeezes the trigger and a single bolt slams into the guns large power cell it's hooked up to. The result is pretty spectacular. In a bright violent orange flash the men's entrenched position becomes a deathtrap and those that aren't outright disintergrated are thrown dead across the hall, leaving only the four men trying to flee with their prize standing. "Been a long time since I was forced to use one of these lousy things..." Rax snaps off a couple shots and is surprised to hear a cry from down the corridor. "...Huh. Fancy that." He glances at the pistol in amazement.

Oriana lifts her blaster and shoots off two more rounnds, one hits, other doesn't. She makes sure to keep some cover as best she can.

Laika's blaster comes out with a pair of shots, but her marksmanship is lacking again and she does little more then startle the mercs trying to drag away their prize. Growling, she takes hold of the pistol with both hands, committed to trying again.

Russ hits his jetpack and tears towards the group of mercs around the board of directors. His pistols fire angrily, the bolts lancing into two of the men. Dropping them to the ground with pained cries as the red hot lasers tear open their bodies. The other two reel back firing their own weapons despite the wounds given to them by the other Revivers. The shots scream wide of the Armoured Russ and the unarmoured Rax however. They should have hired a better class of mercenery than this if they wanted to mess with Mandalorians.

More fire from Narsai, one of the bolts missing high while the other two find their mark. At this point? It seems the team is relying on better skill and firepower to take down the mercs and recover their hostages. Narsai is no exception to this either. Another man falls to her blaster bolts and she looks on to the final outnumbered resistance, already turning her

"Aw screw this." Holstering the blaster, Rax charges from cover, letting out a long, rising roar as he lifts his fist behind him. Leaping at the last moment into the air, Rax raises his fist high and DRIVES it down at the nearest mercenary with a martial arts cry! The man dodges away, but Rax immediately pivots around, his upper body swinging down and around as he windmills his boot around to smash into the man's helmet, his fist striking out toward the floor for momentum and balance!

The board is secure, Russ moves over to the window just in time to see it. The Mandalorian defence force arrives in a showy display of exploding Mercenery fighters and prolonged ground assault steadily pushing the Mercenery crew back to their landing ships. They may be a shadow of what they once were, but with the backbone of a few hundred Mandalorian revivers to shore them up it is more than enough to deal with any Mercenery company. Russ moves over to the board members and speaks to them confidently, removing his helmet as he does and wiping the sweat from his brow. "As soon as word comes through it is safe and secure i will guide you back to the Malachor while my men finish securing your holdings. We may as well discuss our ongoing relationship while we wait for the all clear to be broadcast in the comfort of my ship."
