The embassy to Geonosis has been.. difficult. With tense incidents in orbit taking place on a routine basis- often due to difficulties in basic communication with such an insular and inhuman-standard species as the insectoids- the worry about stepping on toes grows exponentially, when the hosts have multiple legs. ..No, Geonosians do not have more than four limbs in general (not counting wings), but it?s the sort of insect humor that has been popular among the mammals.

Then there had been the instances of sabotage on the ground. There had been an attempt by human terrorists to detonate sonic mines around a royal hive during negotiations, another effort to override the programming of battle droids to some unknown nefarious purpose, and multiple cases of merchant ships being swarmed and taken while attempting to smuggle the ingredients of a banned nerve agent into the Genoisis system. With every incident, the native defenses had intensified, the behavior had grown more erratic. More demands had been added by the Archduke; now each member system of the revived confederation must have a buffer zone surrounding it for protection. Seven more systems had declared as members in the past few days, bringing the Archduke's territorial claims up to 27 *sectors*; nearly a quarter of the Outer Rim territories. The diplomats had respectfully withdrawn from the current negotiations to bring the proposed non-aggression pact before the Senate, and the preparations to depart the planet were underway, with diplomats, their entourages, guards, and belongings being loaded on the Republic courier cruiser.

Vhe is among those escorting the officials, her stunsaber still strapped to her side side. A tight thick braid keeps the curling wild hair from her face as the Ysanna casts a look to the ships and the progress of their being loaded up. She steps further out, taking a position sort of as a line guard to keep her attention on the landing pad at large rather then the ship. She tugs at the cloth of her robe and reaches out with the Force, eyes closeing briefly before lashes lift to narrowed amber colored eyes to sweep over the pad. "It will be nice to see this to a finish and get everyone back." This is said to those near her, head turning to regard the other Jedi as the initiate shifts on her booted feet. Teal sleeveless robes hang low in back and high in front are once more adjusted at her neck.

"We have everyone correct?" Just an after thought to be certain someone was not left behind.

Senator Septima Carnine from Chandrila has been here and boy, she is really debating this whole Senatorial thing. Not really, but the amount of craziness is a step up from being shot again. She was glad she didn't have to deal with being blown up among all the things that could have went wrong. She's dressed in really non-descript robes over borrowed armor given Mekil was about to have a stroke if she wasn't further protected. And speaking of her tall and disgruntled bodyguard, he's walking pretty close and keeping an eye out on things as they are heading towards the cruiser. "I think this will be an interesting development for things." she whispers to him.

It was likely just bad luck that found the Birena Tai on planet and in the process of off-loading cargo when the exodus from the planet began. It meant a lot of yelling back and force and sledges being held up as they tried to make their way between the people moving in the limited space of the landing pads. As a result, it took much longer than anticipated for the cargo to be offloaded and made it impossible for the freighter to depart. Not until the people had been loaded onto their ships at least. Nerys, waiting for the all-clear, was not far from the hatch of her ship, Belate rolling back and force impatiently at her feet. "Come on, Belate. I think I see someone we know. They might need another ship for all of those people, and we're empty as is."

David Ironside has been seen to by medical staff after being shot directly in the chest before, and is now loading his rifle back into his N-1c starfighter. Leaning into the cockpit, the long rifle (it's long) slowly disappears from view as the pilot carefully maneuvers the firearm past any system control panels. Finally satisfied with its placement, David turns to R2-1S, secured in the fighter's astromech slot. <"All's well that ends well, right?"> he asks, gingerly sliding down to touch his boots back on the ground.

Major Jessika Pava from the Resistance's Black Squadron, has come to supervise the preparations to depart. The dark haired officer stands out in an all black coverall G-suit, with a protective armor cuirass of the same color marked in yellow to indicate her commissioned rank. Her black hair is pulled back into a tight bun, oriented at the back of her head, and she's carrying an A280CFE variant rifle that's been attached by a single-point sling which is wrapped around her narrow shoulders.

Jess is a short pilot, but she's got an overbearing command presence that often borders confrontational when things are not moving fast enough. The Resistance droids don't call her the Great Destroyer for nothing! Major Pava can be found by one of the checkpoints, watching for now, her T-85 X-Wing in the assembly area being prepped by her BB-unit AL-1 "Aly".

Moving with the group of diplomats and planetary representatives is the youngest member of the delegation from New Alderaan. With a quick look back over her shoulder, Liren pulls up the hood of her green robe, one hand reflexively reaching for the stun saber at her belt. When has the Galaxy not been a dangerous place? The starport swirls with nervous people from across the wide-flung New Republic and the new confederation of Rim planets.

Elrych Cometburn was here among those escoring the embassy, flanking on the otherside of Vhe, the Corellian was squinting a bit in the face of the difused sunlight. "Everything should be okay... I mean we totally took care of all those Jerks last time." Famous last words if there ever were any. His lightsaber hung read on his belt hidden only by his swaying cloak which he considered ditching in the face of the planets heat.

Merek stands along with the party loading the diplomats onto the cruiser, with his gear on while he nods to each person that comes aboard, looking for weapons. The man does look about, taking in the whole place.

Standing off to the side, Lyra is wearing full armor, different armor than she normally wears in order to mask the fact that she is here. Most wouldn't be able to tell who she is what with the helmet on. She's here today to be of assistance and perhaps strangely for a bounty hunter not here for money. She is silent, letting others who are here take the lead, for now just being a silent soldier. Although it's not yet drawn, the woman does have a large number of weapons on her like she's ready for a fight to break out at any moment.

Brother Bizz is in Septima Carnine's senatorial entourage, serving as a little extra security and a spiritual advisor (self-proclaimed). He is tap-tap-tapping his walking stick which has a stun baton concealed within it - just in case someone gets frisky. "So many systems are joining this outer rim alliance. It reminds me of the Clone Wars."

Yuun is among the group that is here to escort the delegation, his clothing is straightend a bit but he isn't here for a fashion show. Granted Yuun is a little frustrated as he again has forgotten to get armor. He walks over to meet with the others.

The embassy's departure is thoroughly protected by the heavily armed guards present, both Republic and Geonosian. As well, overhead the teardrop-shaped Nantex Mark II fighters circle, their bronzium hulls shining in the Geonosian sun. And yet, the atmosphere is far from relaxed.

Abruptly, the Geonosian guards (all living, no battle droids are presently in sight) half-spread their wings and look sharply to the north, an ambient buzz and clatter of stirring wings and arming weapons. A speeder truck that had been among those slowing the unload of Nerys' freight has left its lane, and accelerated with a thrum of repulsors to race out of the loading zone and toward the red-painted diplomatic cruiser. A precious instant is lost, as the native insectoid conviction that informing the vehicle it is out of its designated area will solve the problem plays out, but a heartbeat later, the danger is clear to all: the vehicle is mere dozens of meters away from the New Repulic vessel and the personnel loading aboard.

Vhe's gaze sharpens a moment and just as those wings snap up her head turns as well. The hairs on the bakc of her neck prickle and stand on end as she looks up. "MOVE! MOVE AWAY FROM THE CRUISER!!!" She is moving in taht direction as her body is a coil of tension. The initiate plants her feet and spreads her stance wide. "HELP ME!" This she says to her fellow Jedi as she reaches out her hands palms towards the incoming speeder truck with its cargo. A tilt of her head and the Force is drawn upon and sent without hestiation in its direction. As she connects with the truck she expects it to throttle through her attempts and continue on its course. Somewhere deep within she feels it catch and she pushes back as her hands start to shake, her knees bending and as she leans into the feel of the solid connection with that which exists around the speeder truck.

Breathing heavily her face having flushed with color she keeps hold as her fingers curl and she grunts a moment even as the truck with its own physical force is testing her will.

Septima is speaking to Mekil quietly and awaiting their turn to board when there is suddenly a ship going at RAMMING SPEED. "Ah well." the Senator states in a resigned way and sort of doesn't comprehend it well. Mekil however is having none of this. He dips down a moment and unceremoniously grabs Septima as he tosses her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and then starts to move AWAY from the ship and the incoming. "Why did I answer that advertisment again?" he asks her as he jogs towards cover.

Nerys, who was already making her way towards Septima, was just in the right place to catch sight of the rogue truck heading at ramming speed towards the vessel trying to onload its passenger. "Come on!" Whether that was a call or a lament was not really apparent, as Belate was rolling along as Nerys ran towards the truck, trying to find a clear shot through the teeming masses, her backpack swinging around to allow her to pull open it's front segment, pulling her weapon out as she ran. She managed one shot, but it was not close enough to do more than score its pain. That did not stop her though, as she found a place to work from. Whatever was holding it back couldn't do it forever.

David is shaken from his calm, 'pack it up and move it out' demeanor when the shouting and screaming starts back up again. <"Me and my big mouth."> he mutters, drawing his side-arm as he pushes off the fighter. <"Shields!"> he calls to his astromech, aiming the pistol, admittedly hurriedly. Leading the truck, he exhales and squeezes the trigger. When the truck suddenly slows down for some reason, sending a red bolt into the distance, where it'll eventually dissipate or hit something that won't mind the impact.

Jessika turns when the alarm sounds, encouraging the driver of the speeder truck to get BACK IN LINE. Jessika follows the motorcade with her gaze eventually spotting the anomaly, and for an instant she was taken back to her past in a similar scenario. Jessika freezes a moment, even stepping forward with squinting eyes to glare at the truck, but a nearby soldier pulls her into cover behind a barricade that's been deployed; brought up out of the ground. "Commander, get down!" They yelled, and it's enough to snap Jess out of her moment. "Wha-- sorry!"

Jess brings a hand up to rub her forehead, then turns to take a kneeling stance and deploy a small bipod from the bottom of her weapons foregrip, so she can set it on top of the barricade for a steady shooting platform. A gloved hand reaches over the sight to free the lense cap for her optics, and she establishes a momentary stockweld to look 'downrange'.

Jess doesn't have her wits enough yet to start screaming orders. A momentary pause and the pilot glances down to her dominant hand to find it trembling. She flexes it and regrips the rifle with such a firm grasp that the leather of her gloves tick with friction.

The sense of imminent danger that had made Liren look back builds as she frantically searches for the reason. Vhe's voice sounds in her ears; their meaning still unclear but shrilling for action on her part.

Screams and a general movement away from something resolves into a truck hurtling toward the landing ramp. With so little practice behind her, Liren has to marshal all of her strength and stop the voice in her head telling her that she can't stop the truck. Hands outspread in front of her, she joins her fellow Jedi's colossal attempt to stop the speeding danger, slowing it yet a bit more.

Elrych had sensed it just as Vhe did but not as specific. As soon as he feels her reach out with the force, his hand moves to grab the lightsaber off his belt. He does not ignight it. At the pleas for his help he complies, streatchoug out his hands and reaching with an invisible hand to help control the momentum of the speeder truck. "Everyone get to cover." He offers in a calm tone.

Merek looks to the oncoming speeder which is barreling towards the politicians, while he stands up in front of a few of them, drawing his pistol with both hands before he takes a shot, the blaster bolt managing to strike into the ground next to it. <"Situation?"> he asks on comlink while the Jedi begin to work on the speeder. With that, the man begins to assist people into cover, his weapon twirling while it points to look for any enemies.

Lyra takes steps backwards and away from the rushing vehicle. She draws her carbine as quickly and carefully as she can before she aims it at the driver's seat of the vehicle. She moves her fingers quickly to turn off the safety and again switch the gun to stun. Though the windows of the vehicle are darkened and take away from her ability to see the driver she has a general idea of where the driver should be. Carefully, Lyra squeezes the trigger and sends a red bolt into the vehicle. At first, because of all the chaos, she can't see if she's hit the driver or not so she slowly backs up even further and readies to fire again just in case she discovers she's missed her target.

Bizz spots the approaching speeder truck and, using his good sense, starts to high-tail it for cover. Septima is already being dragged away by her body man so Bizz goes that way, his holy robes flapping in the dry Geonosian wind and revealing armor plates underneath. "She's coming right for us!" But for a fat old man he moves fast.

Having sensed danger coming and hearing Vhe call for help, Yuun rushes up to stand with Vhe, Liren and Elrych. Yuun doens't look to the others, he can feel them through the force, he holds out his hand and he begins focusing. As he holds his hand up, he shares in the strength of the others and lends his to them and as he does he feels the speeder barreling in towards them. His breathing is controlled and he steps forward pushing into the speeder with the force and helping the other Jedi as they worked to stop the speeder.

Dozens of Geonosian warriors have taken to wing, as alert claxons blare throughout the landing zone. The members of the Republic embassy are safely out of the vehicle's path. As the speeder's progress toward the cruiser grinds to a full stop, despite the high pitched shriek of straining engines, one dark window is blasted out by Lyra's well placed stun blast resulting in a warbling binary squeal. A loud mechanical *kachunk* accompanies the subsequent ejection mechanism as a squat astromech Droid is shot up and away from the speeder truck. <WoooOOOOOOOOoooooowwww> it wails, landing on the pavement with several skidding bounces, before trying to deploy it's wheel and roll to safety... still dealing with the electrical surge of a stun blast the little Droid hasn't noticed it is on its side and is not actually moving.

Those who are watching the plight of the sinister droid driver might be surprised as the tons of cargo loaded aboard the speeder truck detonate in a fiery wall of force.

The explosion causes her to turn her face away, the feel and weight of the truck shifting in the Force until it becomes a smoldering wreck that she lets go of. The initiate feels what is left creak and groan from the licking flames as she lowers her hands and straightens up. The movement of three figures in particular catch her attention as the feeling of danger has not quite left the immediate area. "We have hostiles," she says and one can see her look uncertain for a mometn before her hand goes thrusting out once more as a drop of sweat trails down the side of her face and her jaw.

The small object being armed and prepared to throw is caught not far in its beginning arc by the Ysanna. Her amber eyes focus on the thing and with a brief look aside she moves it quickly as it is moved aside to be harmless amongst some crates - empty or not.

Mikel shoves Septima behind cover and gets his own blaster out, "Seriously. I feel like this is a good time to talk about a raise, Sep." the man gives a bit of a grin. "Not really, just keep your pretty head down and don't get any ideas on running out and trying to talk." he tells her. There's a look to Bizz and a nod to the man, "This is what we all get paid for apparently." he muses.

Nerys ducked her head away, as she tried to avoid the retina burn as the explosion engulfed the truck. By the time she came out of her half crouch, the droid was already ejected, and she trained her weapon on it. Only to catch movement out of the corner of her eye. Blasters. A lot of them. The split second she needed to redirect her aim cost her, as her shot went wide of the nearest target she could see.

David ducks behind the now-shielded wing of his N-1. It doesn't cover him much, but it'll steady his arm at least some, or so the pilot reasons. Leaning on it, David takes aim, finding several grenade-throwing baddies in his sights. <"Grenades!"> he calls out, hoping it'll at least make people aware of impending explosions. Maybe. As he shoots twice, and misses twice, he clenches his free fists and grits his teeth. Blame the planet, just blame the planet.

Pava ducks back behind the barricade as the explosion rattles the core of her very being, the concussive force of the blast kicking up dust, dirt, rock, and wind all at once. Jessika's ears are ringing, her equilibrium is shook, and the sound of raining dirt, rock, and the occasional PING of shrapnel is the current ambience in this fog of war.

"On your feet!" Jessika says, hearing her own voice distorted and displaced. She shakes her head, and positions back on the barricade. Laser-sighted contrails cut through the dust as Republic and Resistance soldiers attempt to sight in. Jessika is fortunate to have the awareness to see a higher threat in this attack squad. "Grenades.. THEY HAVE GRENADES! Engage these armed targets and put them down! Weapons free!!"

Jessika's voice is loud along the line, and she follows her own mandate to open fire, but her capacity to shoot is still hindered by the smoke and dust, prompting a miss that pocks up the ground subsequent to the large red lance of her blaster bolt. The ground and Pava's barrel smokes, but she adjusts aim and pivots, readying another shot.

"Get down!"

Instinctively Liren twists away from the heat of the blast as it flattens robes and blows back her hood, loosening her dark hair. Around her people duck and others fire at the Geonosians rising above them. Pale-faced but resolute, she lifts a hand in the air, hoping to bring down one of the attackers or disarm him. Squinting against the sun, her hand shaking, she focuses on one arming a grenade to throw into the crowd.

Brother Bizz is dazzled by the heat of the speeder's massive explosion. "That droid tried to kill us! I knew it!" He is very anti-droid, after his experiences in the Clone Wars. The short Ugnaught hits a button on his wood-panelled baton and the conductor vanes extend and are engulfed with arcing electrical energy. He surges toward the nearest armed assassin, giving him such a hard WHACK in the chest that the spacer goes flying backward, knocked insensible by the stun baton.

Although Lyra is confused that her stunning the droid might have been the cause of some nifty pyrotechnics starting... she is not blinded to the situation at hand. "Granades!" Lyra announces to ensure everyone is aware of the situation. She's prepped to run away from one of the explosives if necessary but for the moment she levels that carbine with one of the armed granaders. She's apparently feeling quite benevolent today because her finger hesitates at the toggle to switch over to 'kill' for just a second before it relaxes and leaves it on 'stun'. Her hesitation costs her her first shot and there is some cursing being done as she adjusts her shot and pulls the trigger once again. She lands a solid hit on the granader and the stun bolt enters into his body. She holds for just a second to ensure the enemy is down.

There isn't any point in trying to stop the truck anymore as it explodes which causes a hand to come up defensivly, blocking the heat from singing Elrych eyebrows. Though as the enemies appear he doesn't 'find' cover, instead moving forth on the attack. The Lightsaber in his hand comes to life, a brilliant blue. He swings at one who backs out of the way, but the reprisal catches him with a screaching wail.

Merek lifts up that pistol to open fire on the grenade lines while they come at the Geonosians. The man looks like he will do what he can to protect the people, "Formation!" he speaks to any that will listen that look to be with the military Resistance along with the party. He does check the weapon, then he begins to keep with that blaster firing.

Yuun rushes in towards the blaster tooting enemies, his speed encreases as he draws on the force to push him. He unclips the lightsaber at his belt and ignites it as he slides along his knees slicing through the baddie with teh blaster in half. He spins and gets to his feet but as a grenade goes off, he is buffeted by the blast but there is no damage taken, "Take out the others with explosives now!" he calls as he quickly moves to enage the other enemies.

The landing zone is chaos in the wake of the explosion, a number of spacers within the crowd do not react with shock or fear to the events, but continue to follow a plan: several open fire with blasters, not on our heroes, but on several of the warrior drones flying overhead. Most shots miss, but one dead warrior falls back to the ground, and another is winged and wounded, falling with a crash. Eyesight not being the insectoids' string suit, the source of these blasts is difficult to determine, and several shots are sent into the crowd from above. Meanwhile, the trio of grenadiers do not far well. One is stunned, another sabered, and the third has his weapon plucked away. As the attackers scatter, their work done, the last grenadier Soares a moment to lift the scatter brained astromech back onto its wheels.

Chaos is chaos and as the Geonosians return fire she nearly misses the explosion that sets off around Yuun. A quick check to see him still standing has her moving again. Her blade is drawn from her side and snaps to life as she hurries off after the fleeing figures. Her free hand is thrust forward and once more the Force answers her call. She grips the poor unfortunate soul and whisks him right into a rocky wall to leave him momentarily confused but not down as her booted feet start to cover distance in anticipation of needing to cover others and deflect shots away as now allies and foes alike are shooting into the middle of everyone.

Septima's greenish-gold gaze goes to the chaos when things start blowing up and she dodges a piece of schrapnel that goes blowing past her head. "STOP PEEKING!" Mekil reaches over and swats her in the back of the head, causing her to slink back behind cover. Mekil in turn takes a shot at one of the wounded blaster baddies. Making sure that he is protecting as he should and helping out. Because he gets paid to shoot people. This is great.

The attackers were retrieving. Well, not all of them, and that caught Nerys' attention, sharp eyes narrowing as she caught sight of one of the attackers attempting to rescue the downed droid. "Sorry, Belate." Not that the BB unit much cared as anyone close enough to hear the droid chirping would find he was chanting, '< Shoot them! Shoot them!>. Well, who was she to argue. A single red bolt from her weapon cleared the distance between where she was still dug in and the droid still on its side. "Get the core after."

As the tide seemingly turns in favor of the Republic-allied forces, David thumbs his blaster's setting from kill to stun. <"They're on the run!"> he calls out, hopping out of cover to try and down at least one of the retreating baddies for interrogation. Even if maybe he's the only one with the mind for it. He aims, shoots and downs one guy, shooting him again for good measure. You never know whether they might be faking after the first. <"Restrain the stunned one!"> he calls out, hoping to draw one other ally into his plan.

Major Pava's senses begin to return to her, and the sounds happening all around return to their intended volume, leaving her ears ringing still. Blaster fire shades the dust and smoke in various colors, and Jessika's own shot follows. She tracks, leads, then fires into a moving gunman, catching them with a THUNK sound of a thick bolt hitting their shoulder.

The A280 has such stopping power that upon impact, it emerged out the back of the man's armor, cutting the gunman's voice and pained scream short as a mist of pink pulverized blood clouded his wake upon its exit. The concussive power of the impact carried the man backward, prompting him to spiral to the side, losing his weapon, sense, and eventually.. his life. He struck the ground in a pile, the spot where his arm had been smoking from the flash-frozen presence of the bolt that tore it from his shoulder and left nothing but the blackened flesh.

His eyes rolled back in shock as blood pumped, reopening the the veins while he lay unconscious. Slowly, a pool of bright, oxygenated blood filled in the backdrop beneath him, and he was doomed to never rise again.

Jess pivoted again, adjusting her scope and taking aim.

The shouts and blaster bolts firing are deafening. Liren sorts through the chaos that presses down on her through the force. Arm raised, she reaches for calm, singling out a soldier firing into the crowd. Her attempt to wrest the weapon is to no avail; the helpless among them still pinned down.

Elrych Cometburn moves on to the final grenader, slicing upwards and putting him down. His blade comes up to midguard, ready for what comes next. Make it througj this and then they can figure out what this mess is.

Merek keeps firing upon the enemies with the grenade, while he begins to weave to dodge from the blaster bolts, taking position with the formation while he checks the weapon, then takes a few shots at one of them. There's a strike of the blaster bolt right into one of them, with carbon scoring while he takes to cover, waiting.

Lyra's helmet quickly tracks the source of attacks around her and this allows her to keep an easier eye on enemies as they flee. She picks one that seems like they might be at risk of getting away and she shoots at them, taking them down.

Brother Bizz whirls his stun baton with a flourish, showing off the zama shiwo style of his adopted home of Jedha. The short Ugnaught steps into a distracted spacer firing at flying bugs, smacking away his blaster and then delivering an energized blow to his solar plexus. It sends the human sliding into the dirt utterly senseless.` "Someone tell the natives to stop firing wildly!"

Yuun still up close with the blaster totting baddies, his blue glowing blade is lunged forward stabbing through his chest, and quickly weaving through blaster bolts, Yuun throws his lightsaber watching it spin towards another target, but it misses. He sighs and is lucky that he wasn't hit by anything. He quickly holds out his hand and reaches through the force to pull his weapon back to him.

The chaos of the unfolding firefight only builds as the circling warrior drones seek to return fire at their attackers, with only the deflection of certain stray shots avoiding the death of a Republic diplomat and the ensuing messy explanations. After the first salvos, just as abruptly as they had all stirred to action, the airborne warrior drones respond to some unheard command- or maybe they heard Bizz- and cease fire. While the pursuit of the last gunman proceeds, the New Republic security personnel are hurrying their charges onto the courier, before anything ELSE had time to go wrong…

Glancing shots and stray bolts are a real threat and as Vhe slams one blaster wielded into the wall she turns. Its a quick rush forward, sliding into place to position herself between Septima's entourage and the incoming fire. A sweeping swing one way to try to quickly catch one bolt and then sweeps back the other way to send the other quickly back from whence it came. The stunsaber lowers and she glances back to make sure that the Senator is soon on her way. She is stepping over a stunned foe to places her foot upon his chest and ready the Force to make extra sure they have some answers for later.

Her gaze narrows and she quickly looks up to check on the others. "Move to the ship," is offered to those still lingering if any.

Mekil looks around and things are starting to get to the point where the all clear is given to get representatives and Senators on board, the bodyguard shoves his gun back into the holster before he takes Septima by the arm and starts to lead her out from cover. She's walking entirely too slow for his liking though and the poor Senator gets the sack of potatoes treatment again and gets hoisted over his shoulder. There is a long suffering sigh from the woman, but she knows better than to protest...or tell him to drop her. As it would hurt.

Nerys knew, she //knew// there were more attackers, but she could not, for the life of her see where they were. And so, rather than running off willy-nilly, she stepped out of where she has hunkered down, "Watch my back, Belate." <Why me!?> Said the poor, put upon droid, as he followed after, keeping pace, despite being reluctant about it. He was only a BB unit, that was true, and was incapable of using weapons, that was also true, but his little repair arm popped out. It was a far cry from a plasma cutter or anything useful, but he was clearly determined to attempt to shock anyone who tried to stop him. Nerys made it to the downed droid, rather cold-heartedly toeing aside the downed grenadier on the ground beside it, as she began to crack open its already fractured chassis to retrieve its processor and memory core.

David heads up along with Vhe, blaster trained first on the one who's stunned before she gets to him. <"Take these."> he tells her, tossing Vhe a pair of binders. <"I'm going after the runner."> he adds, taking off. He aims, pulling the trigger and getting a click. <"Oh great."> the pilot mutters, stopping to find an ammo pack on himself to reload. It's not a task done easily or effectively while running and not looking at his hands, after all. <"Someone get that guy!"> he calls out. <"I'm reloading!">

The last threats are being taken down and apprehended. The soldiers with Jessika rise as she does, and move with her. "Let's go people.. move it!-- Soldiers, set up a perimeter, collect the weapons from the dead, grenades and munitions too. Let's go, let's go!" Jess chicken-wings the buttstock of her rifle using her under arm and traps it against her side. The muzzle is angled down, though the indicators on her rifle read that it's presently ON fire mode.

Using her free hand, Jess waves people forward. "Come on! Heads down.. move quickly not blindly.. STOP shoving!" Jessika isn't concerned with the party of responders, her mission involved getting everyone loaded up. So that's what has her attention. She relies on her men to establish the perimeter and remain vigilant.

Elrych squints, the sun still htting his eyes harshly. Perhaps he should have brough his shades to wear. Then again, he was trying to be more serious these days. To be a good example for the Jedi. Suddenly through the crowds a fleeing gunmen! "Hey you! Stop there and surrender!" He points his blade towards the fleeing, attempting to flex his power of suggestion in the Force... but there's too many people in the way and too many minds for it to bounce off of.

Merek looks to the man that it looks like the Jedi are trying to make surrender. When it looks like he will keep on fleeing, he takes up the pistol, while he fires three off right at them, with one managing to strike into their back, then he nods to Jess while he waits for diplomats to load up, then he follows to board up ino the ship.

Lyra watches as the last guy attempts to flee them. "Where do you think you're going?" She asks casually as she levels her rifle at him and releases two red bolts that bring the wounded subject to their knees... and then their face... which they would probably feel in the morning when they woke up in prision and bacta tank, no doubt. Him and the handful of others that Lyra, or others, had stunned. With that the tall armored woman takes a post at the edge of the loading ramp and waits for everyone who's getting on to get on before she slips onto the ship herself.

Yuun's lightsaber rolls along the ground and leaps towards his hand. Catching the lightsaber in his hand, with that, the remaining enemies have been taken down, thoough he does look up to see the Geonosians watching them as he quickly moves over to the transport the delegates are running to and loading up on. He moves into position so he and the others can protect them as they load up.

When at last the embassy is loaded, the cruiser has taken off, and the private ships have all left the skies behind in favor of the asteroid strewn darkness of space, the Republic diplomatic craft receives a transmission.

The holographic image of the regal Archduke Taktari the 33rd addresses the ambassadors, with the words of his native language translated into Aurebesh lettering by the computers. <<"This is.. not the manner in which we had wished to part ways. But the Hive must be protected. I send you back to your Chandrilan Republic with a display of what alliance can bring..>>

From their position among the rings and moons of Geonosis, a number of small moons- the Void Hives engage massive thrusters and lift out of orbit, each of them taking in hundreds of the Nantex fighters which had been nestled among the asteroids. A number of satellites orbiting the planet ignite, forming a vast grid which encloses the planet in a massive shield. The image of Taktari states, <<"Recognize the sovereignty of the confederation, and protection from the weapons of Empire will be shared: shields proof against the planet killers. Bid your Senate.. to choose wisely.">>

One by one the massive Void Hives streak into hyperspace, leaving Geonosis protected by a network of satellites projecting a shield of unimaginable power.
