Two Zeltrons invite a passer-by to join their meal.

OOC Date: February 3, 2016
Location: Karrigaun Park
Participants: Luka Krante, Siya, Stavros

These acres are a sharp contrast with the rest of Nar Shaddaa, even in the relatively well-off Corellian District. Fountains, brilliant foliage, and even animals suited to the environment make the park practically an alien environment.

Stavros is spreading his blanket across a patch of grass a few meters from a fountain and mostly underneath a tree with pale red blossoms. Next to him is a tall and narrow locked metal case with a handle. It's a lunchbox if ever there were one, and he appears to be expecting at least one guest, to judge from the blanket's size.

Siya glides into the garden, clearly enjoying the beauty the gardens offer to the people of NarShada. She pauses by a flower bed, pausing to examine the rare species on display. Leaning in, she takes in the scent of the flower. Though, pollen gets on her nose and she sneezes loudly. A pair of kids walking by giggle at the Zeltron and all she can do is stick her tongue out at them in response. It is all in play. Then she spies Stavos and perks up, making her way towards the blanket. "Hello there, friend." She says as she aproaches, wiping the yellow pollen from her pinkish nose.

Luka Krante strolls through the park with his hands tucked into his pockets and lips pursed into a very poor attempt at whistling a tune that makes it unrecognizable, but he seems to be enjoying himself at least from the smile on his face between notes. He might look a little out of place in the up scale area with his spacers garb, but it is clean and free of holes at least.

Stavros grins at the voice even before he looks over his shoulder. "Siya!" He stands quickly and leans forward for a Zeltron (Mediterranean-style) light kiss on the cheek in greeting. "I'm glad you could make it." He unlocks the lunchbox. He gets out a sealed bag with some variety of roasted meat inside, some bread, and an assortment of cheeses. There is more in there, but this is what he gets out first.

The Zeltron man looks down into the box again and whistles. "This is way too much. I should never pack when I'm hungry. There's enough here for four of us." His eyes scan nearby park visitors, as he also tries to get a bit of an emotional sense from them. "Who looks promising to you? Grab someone nice!" Then he gets out a bottle of red wine and sets it next to the box.

Siya grins at the chaste kiss on her cheek and she returns one to him as well. Afterwards, she settles onto the blanket, shifting about to get a particularly puffy spot where the grass is thick. It's always nice to have a soft padding for a tushy. "Oh my.. that is a lot." Laughter comes from her. "Oh! Hmm.." Her ice blue gaze lifts to look out at the people present, also feeling out for them. "How about that fellow. What do you think of him?" She points in Luka's direction as he passes. "Heloooooooooooo!" She calls out to Luka! "Come here! Are you hungry?" She waves Luka down to join them.

Luka Krante turns at the Heloooooooooo tossed his way and his gaze flicks between the two Zeltron's a moment before head head off the path towards them with a hand lifted in greeting and a beaming smile on his face. "Hello!" his eyes look down to the bags of food that Stavros had produced and he grins. "I dare say if I wasn't hungry before I am now.. Are you sure you don't mind a strangers company?"

"I do mind a stranger's company," Stavros says with a playful look, standing up again. "So let's make you not one." He extends his hand towards the human. "I'm Stavros Niarkos. And this is the incomparable Siya. Would you mind pouring a few cups, Siya? They're in the box." Incongruous with the rest of the spread is the long blaster rifle resting on the edge of the blanket, but how out of place is that in Nar Shaddaa, really? Stavros asks, "What's your name?"

Siya watches the two men interact. When she is introduced, a slender hand is lifted to offer a friendly wave. "Hello there. It is good to meet you." She laughs as Stavros asks her to pour the wine for the three of them. "Of course I don't mind. I -am- a bartender after all." She gives a saucy wink before lifting the bottle and pouring the red liquid into the glasses.

Luka Krante grins to the both and reaches forward with his hand to shake with a good, properly firm shake. "I'm Luka. Luka Krante.. glad to meet you both and for the offer to share your meal. Would be would to not accept I think." he winks and goes to settle down onto an empty spot of the blanket before reaching out to take one of the poured glasses. "You did pick a wonderful spot for a picnic."

"I love it here," Stavros says, sitting down again, where the rifle and the goodies are all within reach. It seems more instinctual than the sight of ill intentions. "Most of my time when I was younger, this was my only glimpse of what 'natural' might look like." He opens the bag containing the roasted meat, breaks off a hunk of bread with his hands, and slices off a bit of cheese with a pocketknife that he leaves there, so others can use it for the same purpose.

Taking up his cup, he raises it, then pauses. "I think we need a toast, but I can't think of one for the occasion. Siya?" Bartender powers, activate!

Siya ponders. "A toast. Hmm.. Alright, to new friends. To a future filled with many adventures, much love, raunchy pleasures, and exciting twists and turns! Because, noone likes a dull and boring life." She winks and lifts the glass to the air to clink against the other glasses.

"That's a toast to bring tears to someone's eyes if I ever heard one" Luka says with a grin as he clinks his glasses. "Words of beauty" He winks too and lifts his glass up for a drink.

"The four necessary food groups," Stavros agrees, smiling broadly, holding his glass high before taking a swig from his cup. He assembles the food he has gathered onto a plate and passes it to Siya. He digs around in the box, producing three forks. "This will help," he says wryly. "Unless you want to eat with your face." He holds up a fork for Luka to grab, too. "Tell us about yourself," he invites. He starts gathering cheese, bread, and meat for another small plate.

Siya reaches out to take the plate and instead of keeping it for herself, she offers it to their guest, Luka. "Yes! Tell us about you! Did you always live here on this planet?" She moves to help Stavros with the cutting of cheese.

Luka Krante reaches out to grab a fork, carefully balances his cup on the grass and then snags a plate to start piling with food as well. Seem he wasn't lying about being hungry after all. He looks up to them both between spearing food. "I'm not from here, no.. not from anywhere really. Raised as a spacer, traveling all over, but mostly around the rim. I'm a pilot by trade now.. just came into possession of a ship of my own"

Stavros listens, smiling at Siya when she helps. "Think that's better or worse than growing up here?" he asks. "I hope there's been less smog on the ships you've lived in than on Nar Shaddaa." He pushes the plate he and Siya have been working on a bit closer to the Zeltron woman, then snags a chunk of bread and a slice of cheese from it with a grin, before asking, "What model? I just got one a few months ago, myself, but I don't know much about them yet. I was land-bound until then."

Siya perks up a little at what Luka says. "Oh how very exciting! A pilot.. and your very own ship! How very nice!" She grins at him. "Do you run cargo with it? I know of people who run cargo between Naboo and Chandily." (sp?) She sips from her wine, allowing the wine to rest on her tongue and explode in flavor. "This wine is really good, Stavros. Especially with the meats you have chosen. It just brings out the flavors so very nicely." She holds her glass daintily in one hand as she then reaches for a nibble from her own plate.

Luka Krante is, perhaps, not the most cultured person. He doesn't seem to care just how well the meat pairs with the wine. It just food, delicious and free! "A JumpMaster Scout. Not the fanciest thing, but good for long haul flights.." he says to Stavros and then looks to Siya, "I have run a little cargo, but it isn't much of a freighter. I need to look into a bit more.. eclectic ways of producing credits."

"The wine tastes better because it's stolen," Stavros tells Siya with a grin. "Rebel Yell has a big ship that used to serve as a luxury cruise liner, complete with a full casino - with a full bar." He taps the bottle with index and middle finger. "This is a bottle we inherited. It _is_ good, isn't it? I need to learn more about this stuff. I'm okay with inventing cocktails, but I'm no bartender. Speaking of which, we could use a bartender who also has other skills, Siya. Consider it." He takes a small bite of cheese and bread, chewing and swallowing while Luka speaks. "'Eclectic'?" he asks, lips curving up at the corner. "You could just say 'smuggling.' Or do you have something else in mind?"

Siya blinks and looks to the bottle with a new appreciation. "Well well. Aren't you just a naughty boy." She gives a saucy little wink to her fellow Zeltron. "I would love to hear the story on how you got the ship. Sounds like it is an amazing story!" She looks to Stavros as he invites her to be a bartender for him. There is a long moment where she pauses. "You know, Bar'duur was telling me about that. It would be fun thing to do. I have seriously been contemplating it. Though, I had accepted a position as a senator's assistant. Though, honestly he scares me. I think it's because he is a droid and I can't 'feel' him." She bites her lower lip. "Say!" The woman perks a little, "Why don't I host a party for your crew? I can tend the bar.. What you say? This way I can get more of a feel for your people.. in a good Zeltron way!" Woo! Zeltrons and their parties!

"Eh.. smuggling is an option, but not all of what I meant. Small cargo hold means small cargo.. but certain things are possible. Passengers, courier, perhaps even Scouting." Luka says with a smile as he looks to Siya, "It is something of a story.. but not too exciting I think." he chuckles at her suggestion for a party. "I have been meaning to look further into the group as well.. Kelnas spoke to me of joining once"

Stavros nods to Siya. "There will definitely be a party where you could come, either to work or play." He grins. "Although I know with you it's bound to be both. I just have to convince Sar first. I don't know how _soon_ that will be, though. So if you wanted to meet some of the crew, I can arrange that. Tour of the facility, even." He raises an eyebrow. "I can guarantee you'll be able to feel most of us, though there are a few droids."

The male Zeltron takes a sip of wine as he listens to Luka Krante. "Oh, you know Kelnas? Good guy, in a dogfight or on the ground. You'd think he'd be fried by now; wroonians must have a resistance to that stuff he smokes," Stavros says with a snort. But back to the business side: "Rebel Yell is always looking for talented individuals. We are a mercenary company, with all that brings with it, though we try to be on the right side of the fight. We can talk about it more," he offers, "but only if you both would like to. This is about enjoying the park, and each other," he says, letting his hand brush across Siya's, "and food, and drink. If business gets in the way of that- it can wait." He makes a cheerful humming noise, not entirely unlike an astromech droid, and looks up at the blossoms on the tree above.

Siya smiles to Stavros and she winks at him. "I was wanting to host a party for you, not you host a party for me. I do love entertaining! However, I will play it your way." She lifts that wine to her lips and smiles as she sips from it. "No more business then. Let's just enjoy ourselves!" Looking to Luka, she smiles. "What do you enjoy?"

Luka Krante nods in agreement to the dropping of business talk though his eyes drop to glance at that brushing of hands and he looks between the two with a smirk. he smiles again at Siya's question and waggles his brows. "You listed most of my favorite hobbies in your toast I believe.. with the exception of crochet." he winks and drinks a bit more of the stolen wine. "Yourselves?"

"Yeah, she covered most of mine, too." Stavros grins. "Except for the joy of making a building or wall fall down just right, and of a perfect shot. Oh, and also that kind of bond you can feel when you're together with people and you've all run risks together. It's kind of a high," Stavros admits. "I don't know what you'd call it. Brotherhood? Camer- uh.. camerade- comradeship," he finally settles on making up a new word rather than trying to remember the correct one.

"So it should surprise no one that I'm a bounty hunter and mercenary," the Zeltron finishes, his tone dry.

Siya chuckles softly. "I love social interaction. I truly enjoy it. I am not a warrior. I can shoot a gun, but.. I cannot stand harming a person." She looks to Stavros, "You can fight. I see your gun. I have not learned how to handle the negative emotions of violence. But, every kind of person has their purpose, I suppose. I just wish I was stronger in that regards." She sighs, setting her glass down and claiming a bit of cheese to nibble upon. "But, I sure can make a mean drink.. and love doing so. People love to talk and be more sociable with a bit of drink in their blood. That is what I like.."

Luka Krante folds up a bit of meat around some cheese and plops it in his mouth to chew as the other two talk and nods along. "I've been in a scuffle or two in my time.. can handle myself okay.. but I try to avoid it. Not my particular cup of tea, comradeship can come from other places I find too."

The conversation continues, roaming freely, as the three continue their repast and finish the bottle of wine. With a roof of blossoms and a floor of grass, it's almost like they're not on Nar Shaddaa at all, for at least a little while.
