Coval City, Hesan, Expansion Region

Coval City is a walled refuge against the harsh windy climate of a stormy planet. Beneath the shadow of night, the last defense on the frontier world prepares itself as nature and the hordes of the Mnggal Mnggal set upon the city. The defense is led by an old Mandalorian clan, with volunteer soldiers armed with flamethrowers, torches, and whatever can be found to hold back the husks of the rotting dead.

Our heroes find themselves joining the defense of Coval City, under the command of an old Mandalorian named Sana Ryder. Set to defend the walls from breach, everyone takes their position to look out over the expanse of green fields shaded by the darkness of night. Fires at the base of the walls have been lit and fueled appropriately, giving off a haunting glare or flickering orange that marks the fortress in an otherwise windy and dark expanse. All around this massive city, Mandalorian and civilian alike stare out toward the surrounding forests as the trees whisper and bend to the wind. Thunder rumbles in the distance and it becomes clear that their time to evacuate is limited.

Our heroes have been assigned to hold a portion of the defense, where the walls were weakest. Construction had not yet completed, and there was no time to commit droids to the job when death was coming.

<<"Hold your ground. The evacuation has begun. The Jedi were true to their word; New Republic ships have arrived. We hold the walls until we can't. If we must fall back, I will call it. When I sound the retreat, head to the port quickly and get to the ship. When the dead have reached the port, the ship is leaving. I will remote detonate the core, and Gods willing, that will be the end of this parasite.">> Says Sana Ryder from her observation toward looking over the city.

<<"Be alert, our scouts are returning from their observation posts now. Turrets are online and tracking, flamethrower units take your stations. Keep them off the walls and out of the city. Remember, only one drop of their essence is enough to kill you if it gets on your skin. If you're infected, do yourself a favor. Take as many out as you can, or end it yourself. Ryder out.">>

"<"She is not wrong, you know."> Aryn says, her voice modulated by her void armor helmet. She holds her lightsaber hilt to one side, and has cast her cape behind her. <"I've seen what this does to sentient. They get inside your body and eat you from the inside. They start with the brain, and work their way down until your entire body is filled with their ooze. It is painful, unnerving, and the worst possible thing to observe."> Aryn says, pacing nervously on the wall, the gusts of wind catching her cape.

Kryll is there with everyone, wearing void armor and not his hunter armor. He goes through some final checks on his armor, weapon, and triple checks every seal as he is well aware of the threat they face here. He looks to Aryn and nods, bringing his rifle up to bear, with a vibroblade in his left hand, he rests the rifle on his forearm and activates the blade. <"Copy. We will hold as long as possible. I'm good to go here."> he double checks his ammo packs to ensure he can sustain as much firepower as possible through the attack.

There is indeed a Mandalorian here! Roth is in the all white armor this evening and the Arkanian already has her helmet securely latched and in place. Her visored gaze turns towards Aryn when she speaks and theres a bit of a nod to the Jedi, <<Don't remove armor then, got it.>> she states in her own vocoded town. Then she is bringing her hands to grip the pommel of her sword for the moment. Watching and waiting for the wave to hit.

Elrych was here, though in a less traditional sense. His body was covered in sealed Void armor, protecting him from head to toe. He worse his outer cloak of dark green over the segments of armor and of course his utility belt. As he gazed safely through the HUD in his helmet towards the battle field, he unclipped his Lightsaber from the aformentioned belt. The gust of wind flapped about his cloak, accenting an otherwise stoic appearance. <<"I never heard them in recent memory to be so organized or siege an entire city like this".> This was an offhanded comment to noone in particular.

Ban Iskender notes dryly, "Charming," to Aryn's summary of the fate awaiting any who are taken by the menace they face. The young soldier is dressed in heavy battle armor, with a decorative half cape tied over one shoulder. The hilt of a sword hangs on one hip, the holster of a heavy pistol on the other. Straight backed and full of poise (for now), Ban glances among with others with a short nod to each. Elrych's comment draws a wry smile. "We live in interesting times, master Cometburn."

No scouts return.

The silence that follows, save that of the wind casts an eerie chill over the chosen field of battle as unease sets in on the walls. Mandalorians stationed at each section demand different things or they share in the silence, looking out over the expanse scanning. <<"Motion trackers are picking something up.">> Sana's voice calls out, alerting everyone. It's a loud noise, like a gust of wind. It sounds like it is everywhere at once. <<"700 meters out. 650..600.. rekking hells it's moving fast. You should be able to see it..">>

People on the walls move closer staring out.. but they don't see anything. "I DON'T SEE NOTHIN!" One of the guys says nearby. <<"400... 300..">> Sana says firmly.

<"OUR QUARRY ARE IN THE SKIES."> A Mando screams, adjusting his turret to open fire. The massive green lances light up the dark expanse and travel to a point in the sky only to disappear. For a brief moment they saw what looked like a cloud.. a murder so dense and traveling at once, that it seemed unreal. Other turrets began to open fire, but there was no stopping the avian invasion. Lightning in the distance flashed for an instant, showing a massive concentration of infected avian creatures sweeping in at once. It struck the eastern wall first and spread out like a wave.

<"GET OFF THE--"> Was all one Mando managed to say before he was swarmed. He did not go down though, because from his wrists ignited bright flames and he doused himself in them before jumping from the wall to land below.

Kryll hears the warning and looks up to the skies. <"That, is not ideal."> he walks backwards slowly, towards the edge of the wall and raises his blaster rifle up, firing once, twice, scoring hits to the torso and right arm of one of the creatures as it makes his way towards him, he jumps backwards off the wall, his third blast missing wide as he falls down towards the ground. He lands on his feet, then uses the momentum to roll away from the wall, making the impact less aggressive to his legs before finishing the roll on one knee, rifle trained back up towards the most recent thrat. <"Move people. Kryll covering.">

Roth's scarred up face thankfully cant be seen behind her helm. Because there is a look of concern at the sound of Mandalorians being overrun. A bit of horror as one falls off the wall. <<Moving!>> the woman shouts as she just steps off the side of the wall and the jetpack ignites, carrying her safely to her next destination. Once there, she pulls the blaster pistol to cover folks, but, she'd be using swords soon enough! Because blasters didn't like her!

Elrych looked up and watches the darkness come... <<"This reminds me of the necromancers on Bogden...">> It was an astute observation and perhaps some merit to it noting the similarities between those darkside users and this entity which had a similar yet parasitic connection. That was likely a discussion for another time as he was struct the precognition of the wall imploding for the weight of the avian's attack just as the turret oporated shouted. Moving at a run, and without hesitation, he leaps into the air and lands in a crouch on the ground. His blade ignights, awashing any darkness with it's briliant blue. The deadly humm might sound calming to others, or trigger the worst fear in some. It was deadly and sweet. El rose to his full height then and looked towards their enemy. <<"Alright... alright... alright...">>

Ban Iskender had narrowed his eyes in worry as the scouts do not appear. He ventures aloud, "Ought I perhaps take a speeder bike and see-" the thought is abandoned promptly as the director of their defense sounds out the range. Pistol and sword drawn, he peers out at the dark emptiness in confusion, feeling only a growing dread before the call turns his stare to the sky. Giving a sharp sniff of, "Damnation-" the soldier leaps back off the unfinished ramparts, landing and turning with a deft grace, despite his armor. "Acknowledged, mister Kryll," he notes to the rifleman, as his green regard is turned to the others, a hand lent to hasten the rise of any who fell hard. "Any ideas as to establishing a defensive perimeter against the *sky*?"

Barad awkwardly tumbles off of the wall and lands with a resounding *SPLAT* . . . and after checking to make sure that nothing's been seriously fractured or broken, Barad takes cover at the base of the wall and looks around to get his bearings. He's not here because he wants to be. He's not here because he has a stake in things or knows much of what's going on. . . He's here to Honor his word to Aryn and to try to keep Kryll alive. Accordingly, his first two actions after righting himself are to locate Aryn and Kryll and to ready his Medpac for whoever might need Healing. From the looks of things, this -could- get dicey!

Yuun stands with the Jedi and Mandalorian, this is his second time working with the Mandos, and honestly he likes how they work. Still he makes his way up to where the others are. Not seeing the scouts coming and the command coming for them to jump, Yuun jumps and lands roughly, rolling and doing a kipup to get to his feet. He takes his lightsaber from his belt and ignites the weapon. He looks to the parasite creatures, quickly moving in towards the enemy, his blade swings quickly out as he begins moving towards them, his speed and precision aides him as he slashes through the creatures quickly dancing lightly on his feet as he does so.

Aryn lands in a heap, crying out in pain before rising back up to look skyward. Passing overhead is the avian raptors of this world, only they have been turned to sentient husks of Mnggal Mnggal, a collective parasitic ooze that seeks to consume everything it touches. Inhuman screams sound overhead as the civilian defense is ripped to literal shreds. Unlike the Mandalorian Marshals, the volunteers were not armored or prepared for such an encounter. Mandalorians land below, in the street with our heroes, but now the defense numbers dwindle. Comms are down, and the fighting has already begun.

Looking up above them, past the rooves of the walled city, the Mnggal Mnggal pass over in a manner that looks like the blades of a constant churning grinder. Their constant presence and dreadful noises rob any confidence that had been there prior to their arrival. Dr. Aryn Cole activates her lightsaber to join the other Jedi in the small formation of survivors. <"We must fall back. The wall is lost. Move toward the space port and stay together. Whatever horrors this city is filled with we must survive long enough to reach the New Republic ships and leave. No one goes off on their own. No heroics.">

Aryn points the saber toward the space port in the distance. "Let's go!"

The begin their trek to the space port, but the chaos of the Mnggal Mnngal has caused a panic. Those who had served as the defense on the walls were now husks themselves. Consumed by the darkness and controlled by the collective, the defenders now turned enemy leap from the walls to pursue what scant Mandalorians survived, and our heroes.

The street our heroes are running down is quickly invaded as 21 humanoid husks emerge from the alleyways wielding what weapons they had on the walls. Some use swords, some flamethrowers, and others have their bare hands.

<"They were worthless on the wall, they're worthless here!"> Declares one Mandalorian who cuts down a husk in anger, her arms going wide and boasting. <"IF DEATH FINDS ME THIS DAY, MAY IT BE A WORTHY ONE! WE FIGHT! OYA!"> The Mando'ade answer moving forward to engage.

Aryn's voice screams over the chaos. <"We must cut through to reach the port! The longer we stay, the more that will come. Hit what you can!"> She draws her lightsaber up, prepared to cut down her foes.

Kryll hears the orders from Aryn, and nods as he turns his helmeted head towards Barad, <"Time to move doctor, stay in the middle of if you can, do not fall behind."> he fires a couple of blaster bolts up at the flying hostiles, then turns and heads forward through the streets, firing at one of the newly claimed husks. <"Forward is the only way out."> his blaster bolt hits the husk in the left knee, hoping to slow it down a bit before it can do anything to the friendlies as they move towards the port.

Roth's trying not to focus on the dried husks of her fellow Mandalorians. The alabaster armored woman angry now. She shoves the blaster back into its holster and then draws her vibrosword as she rushes forward. Right into the storm of things. << I don't think we can set the sky on fire.>> she calls over the comms when there's the call on defending against the airborn menaces.

Elrych gleans upon the approaching husks. Breathing deep, the Jedi lets out a slow and long sigh before saying, <<"This is the crummy part.">> Raising his blade he then rockets forth, creating a wake of dust and wind as he slides across the street and into striking distance of the enemy. His blade slides, like butter into the first foe, right up to the emmitter of his anchient Jedi weapon before the beam easily slides up and through the head, splitting the being there. It bursts into orange embers before it can fall to the ground, turning to dust. El doesn't watch, instead he moves on to the next, twirling in a seemingly uneven fashion as his blade slashes through the midsection of another. It does much the same as the first. He makes a third strike, but has likely gained the attention of their foes by now and they slip away from that attack.

Ban Iskender nods curtly to Aryn's directions, moving toward the starport with the others. Lighting his sword with the motion of a thumb, he raises the white blade in passing salute to the roaring Mando'ade as the battle- unorthodox though it is, begins. His heavy blaster does terrible damage to one recently deceased body, though it charges him still, screeching awfully. Aryn cuts it down before it reaches him, but the nobleman indulges a tight jawed profanity, muttering, "Hrm... rekk."

Barad gulps, and his big 'ole floopy Klatooinian ears instinctively rear back and flatten along the sides of his shaggy angular head -- even within the confines of the helmet of his suit. This might well be the quickest military defeat that he has ever witnessed or even heard of. Even now, their erstwhile garrison has now . . . and has joined with the enemy: An implacable and swarming foe seemingly able to be everywhere at once! After a single trepidatious glance skyward, Barad struggles up to his feet. "The Way of Freedom, is: To Live - without - fear." Barad reminds himself, sotto voice, in a whisper. And then, outside, is a flurry of chaos. Kryll urges him to stay in the middle of the pack, and Barad obliges, picking up a large chunk of metal to shield himself and any wounded friendlies with. For Kryll is right: 'When confronted by fear --- the only way Out is: to go straight Through it.'

Yuun is the last to begiin running, wanting to help the others and he holds back continuing his attack before he is able to make a run for it. His blade sings with the electric hum as he attempts to strike three more of the Mnggal Mnggal, but they are able to dodge his attacks, keeping his head, Yuun begins dropping back and he quickly begins to run before he is hit and he stumbles. He's struck again by another and he grunts, using his training to soak up the pain and push it aside as best he can.

The battle is utter chaos, yet they all hold their own. Aryn is struck, stumbling slightly as she passes Ban spinning in place to cut a husk to ashes. She nearly falls over, landing against the side of a building and pushing off to duck a stream of flames from a husk wielding a flamethrower. Rising back to her feet and running back into the street, turning again to build up momentum to cut down a charging husk with a solid swing. She cried out from the effort and had to move to avoid being hit again. <"KEEP MOVING!"> She yells over the chaos, straightening to stand and glancing up as the avians pass overhead again, creating a freight-train like sound mixed with evil screams.

The Mandalorians in the group are working in tandom, one even helps Roth, giving her some breathing room to recover as the other two take to rocket jumping forward to engage in hand to hand. Even though it seems like they are over powered, the Mandalorians move with practiced effort, blocking when they can and avoiding strikes where possible. One Spartan kicks a husk away and laughs aloud. <"THIS IS NOT THE DAY I DIE! HAHAHA!"> They scream over the chaos.

Kryll does as Aryn's ordering, but not bothering to confirm as that would take time which is more useful trying to destroy these husks. He opens fire on the run, their trek to the port seeming to be a rout. The first two shots miss, the third hits a husk in the head, blowing it clean off, and while that might be slightly annoying, the body continues on, its objective to devour those yet unclaimed. <"I still do not like these things.">

Roth gives a look back to the Mandalorians that made it off the wall and there is a bit of a moment that she forgets about the fight...and gets her bell rung. <<You flying shits...>> the woman grunts out. Then she takes off into a low fly, kicking off the chest of one as she slashes at one, while she misses, she does knock one wobbly and maybe that'll save another from attack for a moment.

Elrych squares off with the entity that had dodged his last attack. It lashes out at him, the Jedi inhuminly fast, and moving out of the way of it's strikes quite easily and with the fluidity of a drunken hobo. His reprisal is swift and powerful, unpredicatable. He lunges forwards, almost staggering, as he jabs not once, but twice in quick succession at the being's head. Both are evaded. On the last velocity of his attack movement, the armored Jedi spins, twirling his blue blade. VRRRROOMP VOOMP... An electrical squeel sounds, his dark green hooded cloak flowing as his blade slashes across the foe. It erupts into flames and then turst to nothing more than a pile of dust.

Ban Iskender shifts to the use of his white bladed sword as their mad dash through the chaos of this dying city, slashing at the flamer that had been aimed at Aryn. The Mandalorian battle cries bring a tight smile to his face, though it disappears as quickly, with the cacophony of fell avians screaming past, overhead. A swift thrust and drawcut reduce the husk to ashes on the wind of uncounted wings.

Barad hurries to share his makeshift shield with the most wounded of them, still doing his best to keep up with the others. Flames and bolts and lightsaber arc are flashing and flying in all directions. It's utter mayhem! Barad puts his head down and makes sure to keep his paws moving forward

Yuun is doing his best to keep up, his blade slashing into the creatures, what he does hit and what he doesn't, doesn't matter to him. What matters his him protecting the others. He feels the blows as they strike hsi body, "Keep going, don't stop!" he yells to the others as he is fighting backwards and trying ot keep in front of the horde but backing away, and he is hurting as he is doing his best to keep with the group.

Aryn swings twice, missing, clearly some sense of fear or dread powering the wayward attempts, but her third lands true as a spearing stab. The ashing husk crumbles from her blade as she turns away to move ahead, running, her cape fluttering behind her.

The two Mandalorians who were eager to engage up close are overpowered by the husks and taken down. One has their leg kicked in, the sickening crack of the bone breaking is head when the leg bends inward in a way it was not supposed to. She cries out in agony as she's taken down, swarmed, and stabbed repeatedly in the neck before the ooze invaded the bleeding throat and began to invade her body.

The other was brought down similarly. They were shot several times before taking a blaster bolt to the T-Visor and spilling backward. The husks swarmed over him, and in seconds, the Mandalorians rise back up and chase after the survivors, adding to the number already chasing.

Kryll continues on the move, tracking as many targets as possible and choosing the one that is the most risk in their path. He fires three bolts downrange at it, hitting it in the torso and right arm. The body collapses and an ooze leaves the body, looking for a new meatsuit to play in. He does a quick assessment on the run, <"I am still operational, no seals broken. Optimal route to the port is becoming problematic. It appears annoyed with us.">

The last hit rocks Roth and the Arkanian Mandalorian takes a moment to taste the blood in her mouth. Mmm. Coppery. <<Medic, coming to see you real quick.>> she states over the comms as she jogs a little haphazardly to Barad. <<How is this guy doing?>> she looks to Yuun while she's there. There's filth and muck all over that white armor, but, it would be clean later. Or she'd be dead!

<<"Welp, I've seem to have made myself a target">> Comments Elrych as he backs away upon four of their enemy pouncing at him like rabbid nexu. Really what else was new, El was always good at 'making friends'. The Jedi Ace dodges one, then the other nimbly, before a third strikes him hard. The Jedi staggers back, a fourth attack missing him entirely. Once he recovers from his stumbling, there is no visible wound or damage... as if there had been some sort of invisible wall between him and his attacker. There is not another moment wasted as he slides forth, his cloak flapping in the wind, cutting deep into one of the attackers, before spinning and slashing another. Both erupt into embers and then fall to dust. He strikes for a third, but the reprisal is averted.

Ban Iskender quips to Elrych, "Ever the socialite, master Cometburn." He the blows Yuun has weathered, and slows his own steps until he has come alongside the wounded Jedi swordsman. "I'll relieve you on rearguard for the nonce, master Yuun. I pray you move forward, be tended, and remember Lady Aryn's words: no heroics." A slash, parry, and riposte reduce another pair to nothingness.

Barad runs to the wounded Roth and shields Roth from the incoming fire with the bent metal door and with his own body as he works, frenetically, to slow down Roth's bleeding . . . it's an 'uphill battle' though, and there is not a lot of time. Barad does what he can in the seconds he has, until the zombies close on in. Grunting with frustration, Barad carries Roth forward as best as he can. To remain behind is certain death, and worse - than - death: it is . . . Consumption. . .

Yuun has had bad days and honestly and today is the worst of those bad days. The dark-skinned Jedi Initiate is doing all that he can and as he is struck again, the only thing helping him right now is the fact his training and willpower is taking over. Pain lances through his body and he is doing his best to try to keep on his feet, but tow of the hits sends Yuun flying. He lands and rolls backwards a few times after missing with his lightsaber a few times, whateever these things are, they are kicking his ass right now. When Aryn catches up to him, he feels teh force flowing through her and into him, his body begins too feel better and he relaxes, "Thanks Aryn." he says as he gets onto his feet.

Aryn is toward the center of the group, ducking low as avians swarm by overhead, kicking up dust and dirt with their pass by. She rises back up, stumbling a bit, to see Yuun in a bad way and Lord Ban replacing him at the rear guard. She uses that time to close the distance. <"Yuun! Come to me."> The Jedi Healer meets him, and for an instant, she plants the nozzle of can of hardening bio-foam laced with kolto to his armor and fills the gaps to give him pain relief. It takes a few seconds of time, clearly field expedient in nature.

<"Before you go.. here."> She says to the Jedi. From her belt, beneath the confines of her cape, Aryn unclips the MCA shield deflector and attaches it to his belt, activating it a second later. His body is covered then with a protective blue layer that briefly glints into plain view from time to time. <"You should be good. Let's go.">

The dead wain in numbers behind them, but the fight is city wide. They are nearing the port now. 200m out and a straight path.

Kryll glances over as Aryn gives something to the other Jedi, then turns and lines up another husk that is making a move for them, the first shot misses high, but the next two punch holes in its torso and the body drops, but the ooze continues. <"Target down, Tracking nine active targets currently in threat range. We can't let them make it to the port with us.">

Roth is...well...she'll be fine! <<Thanks.>> she states to Barad. Then she gets back up, shakes out her arms to get the blood flowing again and jogs after one of the things, <<You hold still so I can hit you.>> she points the Beskad at it. But...it doesn't listen. She was taking a huge chance, and that's what her normal mode was. <<Trying to hack our way through. Starting to see some holes in there thankfully.>> she murmurs over the comms.

Elrych actually PRESSES the mnggal mnggal captured being, it striking out at him twice. He shifts to the left, then to the right, avoiding the strikes with inhuman grace. His blade raises and then strikes down, ending that being. Two more are in his radius and he seek them out, striking them both down into ember and ash. He turns and spots thier destination, <<"We're almost there! Hang in there!">> He rejoins the others, keeping their retreating circle tight as possible.

Ban Iskender continues to keep up guard from the back of the bloodied and besieged column, but the Mnggal Mnggal are pressing them from all sides. White blade held upright when on guard, and lashing out in fine dueling form when extending onto the attack. One lunging step forward slays one extremity of the horde, and four hasty steps backwards keep pace with the others.

Barad says, "You're fracking right, Roth will be fine," Barad tells his own self. At least, if that's within Barad's power. He continues to shield Roth as best as he can, doggedly sticking right next to the wounded. Within his helmet, Barad is sweating, his ears are straight back, and his canines are showing. He's hunkered down behind the door he'd picked up, blocking the zombie's approach up to Roth, and the door is quite heavy by now. Still, things are starting to look up! Few and fewer of Mnggal can reach them!"

Yuun manages ot make it to Aryn, the bio-foam does the trick and Yuun manages to focus on himself for a long moment. He shakes himself, "We will make it, let's move." eh says as he begins moving in to engage, and as he does he does a salute and with a burst of speed, he moves head on towards the Mnggal Mnggal and swings at the first one he sees. It dodges, but Yuun spins, tracking his target and he slashes across it's chest, and as he does, he steps in towards another, driving the tip of the blade in through the creatures throat. He quickly jumps back, using the force to lift him up and back landing near the others.

Aryn cuts down two, missing a third that is promptly sniped from a 100m out. A small army of Mandalorians descend from the sky, all of them wearing jetpacks, capes, beskar'gam, and carrying various weapons and tools. The leader of the group, and the shortest, is the female known as Sana Ryder. <"SHIELDS UP, BOYS! WE GOT SOME STRAGGLERS!"> The Mando'ade with her ignite their shields from their arms, similar to the shields the Gungans had used in the Battle of Naboo some 80 years ago. <"SHIELD WALL!!"> The Mandalorians answer, screaming in unison. <"OYA!"> Standing behind them, and holstering her pistol, Sana tucks an arm back. <"LEAVE A GAP FOR THE SURVIVORS-- PIKES OUT!">

<"OYA!"> Glowing blue spear like pikes emerge out from the 50 or so Mandalorians who had formed a line between the massive rampart pillars and gateway to the starport.

The way was open for our heroes, but they had to cross a bridge to make it to the gateway and past the Mandalorians. Behind our heroes, the last survivors of the walls, some 982 dead come out of the streets running, stumbling, and chasing, all of them screaming with disembodied voices as they gave pursuit.

<"HOLD YOUR GROUND, MANDO'ADE! WE DO NOT FALTER!"> -- <"OYA!!">

Kryll with the way cleared to the safe zone, Kryll makes sure everyone is updated. <"Final stretch, get through friendly lines. Keep moving forward."> he sprints forward, clearing the lines and getting to an elevated position to fire over top of the protective line. His shots don't hit any of the stragglers at the front, but he's trying to slow them down so the others can make it through. <"We have overstayed our welcome.">

Roth smacks at the door with her hand, <<Quit following me, door!>> she swats it again. She then sees the line of Mandalorians and there's a swell of pride and a bit of a adrenaline rush that kicks her ass into gear. Gotta live! Gotta get over the line! The ichor stained Mandalorian needs a powerwash...or a nap. One might never know. She doesn't fall over into a heap when they cross into somewhat safer conditions. That would be embarrassing in front of her fellows. She does stop though, letting her vision refocus, seeing through the infrared spectrum as she normally does, "Thanks again you." she points to Barad with a nod of her head.

Elrych stares at the near thousand strong mass of dead charging for the shield wall the impressive Mandalorian force put together just before their near arrivla to the landing zone. There is a pause from the Jedi before he utters a simple few words. <<"Ah kriff me...">> A free hand reachs out and sends a torrent of debries towards the coming hord. The Jedi doesn't look back to see any damage done. Turning, he RUNS towards the gap in the shields, his lightsaber still lite and in hand.

Ban raises a brow amid heavy breaths as the hundreds upon hundreds of rotting puppets swarm out of the fallen city behind them. Then, across the last bridge a phalanx of crackling pikes and locked energy shields descends. "Hrmm.. Thank the Gods for good discipline," he notes with admiration under his breath. Sword held upright and tipped forward in a swift salute to the Mandalorian commander as he dashes through the formation, wishing to offer his respects without delaying the eventual withdrawal of the Mando'ade.

Barad concentrates solely on getting Roth and the other Wounded to safety, thinking of nothing else until that is accomplished. And then: Hooray! The Mando's are coming! Barad observes that these Mando's have . . . shields . . . which are . . . *much* better than the . . . door . . . he's been toting. Fancy that. Nifty! And with Mando reinforcements now on the Scene, Barad is suddenly a whole lot less worried about the fighting aspects. Instead, he tries to SPOT something, -anything- in all of this chaos, that's medically relevant and remotely helpful. What -is- this Mnggal? What . . . is its Nature? Barad tries to find some clue. -Something- to salvage, from all this wreckage, from this disaster, from all this Lost Life . . .

Yuun is back behind the line with the others, he's breathing hard and is sweating a little. This was a little harder than he thought, still when the Mando's arrive. He smiles a little bit and upon seeing the Mando's he moves up a little bit and stands with them, "Mind if I join you?" he asks.

The shield wall closes behind our heroes and the Mandos activate their magnetic boots, locking themselves to the durasteel paneled pathway with a distinct --KA-CHOOOOK!--

<"WE GOT THEM RIGHT WHERE WE WANT THEM, BOYS! EVERYWHERE YOU ATTACK, IT'S A KILL!! HAHAHA! HOOOOOLLLD!">

The dead draw close and collide with the shields. Mandalorians cry out in unison over the sudden volume and swarm of dead. <"OOOOOYA!">

The shields hold, not a single Mandalorian falters and Sana casually walks the line. <"WHISTLING BIRDS.. SING THE SONG OF MY PEOPLE!"> Sana cries out, somehow heard over the line as Mandos stab with pike and keep their shields up. Those of the second rank ignite their jetpacks then, all of them, and rise up above the shields in unison presenting their gauntlets to the enemy. The loud whistling sound that emitted afterward was the high-pitched velocity of super-sonic homing darts curling and firing into countless targets while leaving a contrail of steaming smoke in various angles. Fifty or so dead are struck and fall immediately, and the Mandos on the shield line cast the bodies back screaming <"OYYA!">

<"RAPTORS! RELEASE YOUR PAYLOADS!"> Sana cries, and those rocket-packing Mandalorians tip their heads and alter positions, releasing the rockets from their jetpacks to hit along the bridge causing catostrophic damage. Concussive waves blow past those on the friendly line, casting back capes in the gusts of destruction and chaos.

<"DEATH FROM ABOVE!"> Cries Sana, signaling the Mandalorians to take flight and move forward. Flames from their guantlets ignite over the dead, who have confined themselves to the shape of the bridge while being halted by the shield wall. Now.. now they are a sea of FIRE!

Those in the group who make it to the final transport get on board with no issue. The ship begins to take off, the ramp down. From the sea of fire, 51 Mandalorians fly up to the sky and through the clouds in formation. All of them land on the ramp, the last of them being Sana Ryder who signals the ramp to close. A raising of her hand showed the detonator, and she clicked it, causing an explosion in their wake that consumed the entire city in a nuclear blast that could be seen from orbit.
