OOC Date: July 27 2020
Location: Natural History Museum, Taris
Participants: Bindi Sur, Tara Sur, Nerys Arda, Sion and Nubri

Recently, the Natural History Museum was robbed of a sword. Not any random old, dusty sword but an old Zabraki Sword. OF course, as it wasn't owned by the museum itself, the owner arrived, panicked, to check on the exhibit. Currently, the museum is on lockdown, and a back entrance is being patrolled by private guards, where a few black speeders stand. The main entrance however, is watched by a single guard, strangely enough. A guard wielding a scattergun. Likely, a number of guards is inside the museum, but how to get inside to get the target? Nubri, having heard of the robbery and... having had some eyes on Fondrak, is along on the job, in a rented X-38 Sport Landspeeder. Maybe not the fastest, but not particularly suspicious either. Good there is tinted glass for the Mandos, stopping in front of the museum "Right. So... there we are. I am here to watch the speeders. Give me a call if things go pear-shaped? Otherwise, I am just making sure we can hightail out of here. Good luck, everyone?" she offers, sending a picture to everyone's datapad "Best map I can offer is this old tourist map. He, uhm, should be at the Iridonian exhibit, I suppose? That is where they should have kept that sword, I think... Everyone has my comlink?"

Bindi quietly holds out a gauntleted hand for the map that Nubri offers, bringing it over so the rest of the group can see it too. Her face is concealed by her helmet, of course, but the mane of hair falling down her back marks her as an at least unusual Mando'a. "There is a path here I can follow." she says quietly, running a metal fingertip along the path. "I can have a overwatch position when I arrive here. He will likely run if there's an alarm. The front exit is here, but he may run to one of these nearby emergency exits."

She looks at the others. "I would recommend we split into smaller groups to cut off the exits and converge on his location to prevent that."

From the back seat, Tara was seemingly staring into the distance as she panned through data on her HUD. "We have any idea why the di'kut decided to come back here? And are we sure they won't let us in if we flash a Guild hunting license?" A wave of her hand, and the map is synced to her HUD too. <"If he's using a speeder as a getaway vehicle, I could loan Bindi my SX. Take out the coils as long as it'll crash land somewhere convenient."

Nerys, once again doing the sort of things she was not at all supposed to be doing, was here more to ensure that the actual bounty hunters got their bounty than to actually capture the man himself. "HiBall, upload the schematics we retrieved the last time we made entry into everyone's data systems." The ID10 droid chirped his acknowledgement, and the data popped up, ready to be viewed, "You should see our previous route of entry to the vault highlighted, and the map of the building we were able to retrieve that last time we were here. You'll also find a run down of the sorts of security measures they had in place deeper within the building. We'll move on your lead. Or if you'd prefer, we can handle eliminating the vehicular escape routes and come in behind you."

Sion, in the shotgun seat of the speeder in case of driver trouble, half-turns to look at the displayed map. "I can take down the guard in front before he sounds an alarm. In back, there are too many for that. We'll need a better plan there."

She glances at Tara. "I doubt the museum cares if anyone's a Guild hunter or not. They don't have a bounty on this guy. The Iridonians do, though. Pity they're not controlling the doors..."

She has no idea there's no such race as Iridonian.

Nubri shrugs "I mean, if push comes to shove.... I have a carbine in the boot." she muses "Personally, I would have tried to get a security uniform and tried to get in there.... and... there are rumours. Rumours that, well, he could have bought them off." she muses, looking over "And... I wouldn't call him a di'kut... ge'hutun would cut it better, from what I heard. Apparently a mercenary.... it is all I know. But given he had a sword our bounty was concerned about? Yeah..." she turns towards Nerys "The problem is... did you see those guards? If we took out the vehicular escape routes... we might have them on alert... but I am staying in here anyways." she turns towards Nerys "Do I want to... no. I won't ask." she smirks "But... we essentially are in a limbo. The Tarisian Guard might just let us go with a licence, but no the guards at the museum, nor those Falblik or what his name is hired..." she turns towards Si "Uhm... help?" Quietly, so with melee/physical if possible, or stuns if necessary. Once they're down, Sion goes around to the front with the speeder in cased they go that route to ambush them. We disable the speeders at the back, then Tara and I go high to the roof to go in that way, everyone else goes in the back door to cut them off. That way they either run to the back and are stranded, or they head to the front where Sion can pin them down until we catch up?"

That way they either run to the back and are stranded, or they head to the front where Sion can pin them down until we catch up?"

Bindi nods slightly, considering. "Sion. If you feel you can take the guard at the front, we'll go to the back. Tara and I can fly up on the roof so we can get the drop on them and Nubri and Nerys can go draw their attention from the ground.Tara will throw the ion grenade as the signal to start on the targets at the back. Once we have them down, Sion can pull the guard inside at the front and lock the door there then proceed back to ambush them if they head for the front, and we'll go in the back."

She hands the map back to Nubri. "Don't die." she advises solemnly, before walking a short bit awy to fire her jetpack to head for the roof to get set up.

"Works for me." Plan agreed to, Tara exited the speeder as well, boosting up onto the roof with a flare from her jetpack once she was clear, bringing out her carbine. Didn't pack quite as much of a punch as the Sentinel, but when accuracy was crucial... "In position, standing by for everyone's check-in."

Once everyone was out of the vehicle, Nerys settled herself in the back seat of the speeder, removing her helmet, for the moment, and tucking HiBall down out of sight. "Be ready to jam comms if the grenade fails to deactivate their systems." Again, HiBall gave a chirp of agreement, as Nerys made sure she had all of her weapons in place. Easy to draw, but below the level of view of the speeder, "Alright, I'm as ready for this magical mystery tour as I'm likely to get. Can you simulate a breakdown of the speeder once we get in range? It might draw them over as they tell us to get away from the building." Guards always told you to get away from buildings.

"Color me inside," Sion replies with a grin, then slips out of the team 'speeder and creeps over to one parked in front of the museum. Taking a quick peek to see where the museum guard is, she pulls the door handle of the landspeeder she's next to, wincing as the shrill alarm pierces the night!

That done, she slips away, using the speeders for cover, to hide within sight of that one. Now all she has to do is wait...

The PMCs from the roof, a female Human and a Chiss respectively, have their backs turned towards the team, seeming to talk and laugh about something. Nu, meanwhile, just nods "Shouldn't be difficult." she muses, starting to drive in front of the back alley before trying to do a newbie driver mistake and trying to drown the engine on purpose. And, considering it worked, she gets out "Oh, to Hoth with it. My engine! Something must be wrong!" At that, the chiss heads towards her, rolling her eyes "Come on, get away. Nothing to look at. Push that stupid speeder somewhere else." The human, though, remains where she is, close to the actual speeders of her employer.

Si's guard, meanwhile, just heads towards the speeder, shaking her head "I hate speeders. What was it this time, a loth cat? A gust of wind? I swear, the alarms are way too sensitive." Si, meanwhile, is out of view for now

Bindi lands on the roof, then goes low, crouching as she makes her way to the edge of the roof carefully, before settling her rifle into a firing position as she pulls it out, flicking it over to stun. Live target this time...it's what she prefers anyway. It's more challenging to her. She goes prone, resting carefully, her helmet peering past her rifle at the targets below as she waits for Tara to throw.

Nerys, as the speeder broke down, raised her voice, her tones strident. She did, not, however, rise from her seat, but leaned forward using her body to, mostly mask the presence of her weapon. And if you thought her prissy rich Corellian girl accent was bad before, it's even worse now, "What sort of driver are you? Do you have any idea what consequences being late for my appointment is going to have." She glared at the guard as the Chiss walked over to her, utter disdain in her eyes and in her tone of voice, "Mind your business. I wasn't speaking to you."

Sion, crouched low behind the front of a speeder, waits until the guard steps between two other speeders and out into the street next to the screeching landspeeder, then lunges!

Her first swing misses high as the female Cerean leans down to examine the landspeeder's lock. But she swings again: A ducking sweep catches the woman behind the knees and dumps her on her backside. *FRIZZK!* Trouble is, it's not enough to put her down. Sion grits her teeth and prepares to swing one more time.

Nubri rolls her eyes "Well, sorry Guv." she argues, in her lower-class Coruscanti Accent "I can't do anything that the engine just decided to frellin' die on me." she starts, deciding to glare over at the Chiss, just as the grenade flies, taking the comms out. TIme to distract them "Who knows, maybe you should check it out yourself if you are so smart?" she wonders, waving annoyedly, causing the Human to start moving towards her colleague.

Meanwhile Si's guard yelps, turning about, reaching for what likely is pepper spray at her belt "Hey! Let me go, punk!"

Once the grenade drops, then pops in a flash of blue light that washes over the vehicles and such in the area with little arcs of energy, Bindi doesn't hesitate, sighting on the Chiss as the more likely military trained of the pair at the back, and pulling the trigger.

Unfortunately the Chiss, perhaps alerted by the pop of the ion grenade, turns sharply and takes a step towards the detonation....meaning the rings of the stun bolt miss clean past his back instead of striking.

Rather than cursing, Bindi quietly reacquires, her rifle shifting to follow the now moving target..

Nerys' tone only got sharper. "Do you have any idea what strings I had to pull to get this hair appointment? You think just //anybody// can get into that place? It's 1000 credits a head!" Keen eyed as she was, Nerys marked the flash of the grenade and popped up, swinging up her bowcaster and bracing it against her stomach. She didn't have enough time to get it to her shoulder. And just like that, a single bolt and Head Chiss was now Headless Chiss. Not to be outdone, HiBall unleashed his d-roid-rage, popping up and firing a shot from his pistol attachment at the human guard who was walking over in their direction. He loved the smell of a sizzling hole in a meatbag's side in the morning. Was it morning? Who the hell cared? D-roid-rage!

Tara winces a bit as the Chiss is utterly decimated by the bowcaster round. So much for Non-lethal. The hunter's own EE-3 spits a coruscating blue bolt that slams into the remaining guard's torso, dropping him like a sack of bricks. <<"What the shab happened to stunners?!">> Grumbling under her breath, She steps off the rooftop, slowing her fall with a well timed jetpack burst, and takes position next to the door. Carbine goes away, out come the pistols...

Sion jumps back as the tall-headed woman jumps to her feet, yelling! Instead of answering, she jabs the stun baton into her stomach, then lays it alongside her neck just above her uniform jacket's collar. The end result is an unconscious Cerean woman.

Sion catches her just as she starts to fall. "Sorry... I know you're just doing your job," she murmurs, dragging the woman towards the museum door. "But you're likely to /really/ hate the next part of this plan." She waits until she's got the Cerean inside the door before she finds the coded key on her belt and locks it. Dragging the woman behind a large display of debris from the Sith Empire's long-ago destruction of Taris, she begins undressing her so she can disguise herself.

This'll take a moment, folks. Please be patient.

Nubri rolls her eyes as the guards are down "Hair appointment? Really, N?" she asks, sounding amused, heading to the boot to pull a carbine out of it "Sorry, Lara... didn't get to draw yet." she explains "Think they have the keys to the speeders? Not sure if they are down, but if they aren't, we get a barricade." she muses with a sigh, looking at the chiss "There goes a disguise. Blood won't work." she muses, looking at the human "Anyone want to go in? The human should work." she tilts her head "Hopefully it won't be too many guards left..." she looks at the pair of speeders "How many can it be... six? No wait, we are five in one... nine, two accounted for here and our suspect?"

Bindi's helmet tilts slightly as the Chiss's head just...explodes. Whether she's surprised by the droid opening fire, or the fact Nerys can apparently fire a bowcaster without being knocked over, it's unclear. She pushes herself up to her feet, then steps off the rooftop, firing her jetpack as she approaches the ground to slow her descent as she stows her rifle in the process. "We should move quickly. They'll have heard that." is all she says, heading for the back door to slip inside, then tries to fade into the shadows, sneaking her way along.

"None of these are our target. Also, if I had a weapon capable of a stun setting, I'd use it. I thought the point was striking fast to get in there." Nerys Arda, Space Nerd. Not Space Bounty Hunter. Now, she only sounded rich and not like a bitch, hopped out of the speeder, collapsing her bowcaster and securing it before she grabbed ahold of the Chiss and began to drag her to a spot behind whatever she could find to hide the body. "But if you prefer I stay outside and guard the door, I can do that too." She did not seem terribly put out by the angry tone. She probably got it a lot, unfortunately.

"Depends on how good the soundproofing is. Upper city like this? Probably pretty good. Bin'ika, Signal when they're coming out and we can catch them in a crossfire." Tara takes a far more cautious approach, never really one for stealth herself, watching the feed from Bindi's helmet on her HUD and staying a comfortable distance behind, keeping to blind corners and such where an ambush would work well.

Back in the front of the museum, Sion finishes with her disguise efforts, and affixes her earbug for her comlink into place. "Front is secure. If you're coming in to bring the fight to these guys, they're not getting out this way."

She smiles at the thought, toggling her comlink off and tugging her jacket sleeve down over it. She takes a quick look at herself in the dim reflection of the display case's trans-duraplas cover, fixing her hair and tugging down the hem of her jacket... and blinking as she sees white below her dark blue jacket? <Oops...> she mutters, looking hastily around for the pants she'd missed in her rush. Working in the dark in cramped spaces is hard!

Fortunately, they're close to their unconscious, bound, and gagged former owner. Panted within seconds, Sion hides her armor and moves to begin a perfectly ordinary patrol of the museum, like any good museum security guard should. The fact that she's /not/ a good /museum/ security guard is her secret, though!

Nubri slings her carbine over her shoulder and digs the keys to a speeder out of the pocket of a guard, moving the speeder right in front of the door and hiding on the other side of it, after a few dead seconds. "N, help me move the other... we need cover." Now, it is on Si to find the targets, which, as it happens, are passing her... pair of Codru-Ji, wielding eight pistols in between the two of them, three human guards with scatterguns, one Chiss holding a heavy one-shot pistol. Time to lure them, as noone pays attention to her.

Bindi is finding it easy to move quietly...much more difficult to move through a museum where the exhibits are meant to be seen and thus are very well lighted and spread out. The jetpack and rifle strapped to her armor don't exactly help with that. She's forced to just stop and crouch behind an exhibit of an old fashioned blunderbuss style slugthrower, hoping that the six foot high mostly glass display will at least hide her from casual view as she gets ready to hit the targets if they head towards the back.

Nerys, who was now in work mode, headed for the other speeder, grabbing the key from other guard, who she had dragged off to a dark corner behind a dumpster or whatever. She was dead and wouldn't need it. Marking where Nubri was pushing hers and moving the one she was moving would form a decent break to block a quick escape. "We staying out here then?" Just in case, she moved to get some cover herself, drawing her bow. Much less likely to kill a poor unfortunate soul.

"That's the plan. We try to crossfire. Don't fire anything that might break exhibits inside the museum." Tara drops into a crouch behind a convenient ledge that seperates a ramp down to the next level and the hall Bindi had disappeared down. Both pistols set to stun, ready and waiting.

Sion lets them pass, and strolls casually into another chamber. Once there, she gets on the comlink. "I just had six goons pass me, heading for the front. Two Codru-Ji gunslingers with four pistols each, three Humans with scatterguns, and a Chiss with a one-shot handcannon," she whispers. "Too many for me to take on! I'll keep an eye on them so we can take them down as a team."

Nubri nods "Much less fewer priceless artifacts to destroy here. BEsides, I kind of assumed we were luring them here anyways." she muses, hiding in cover as well, pulling the carbine out, ready to fire "Si... what's the word... din'kartay?" Of course, by the time she finds the word, there is Si "Deal." she agrees "Bimmi? Gar Naumiit."

The group of baddies, meanwhile continues heading to the speeders, about to reach Bindi.

Bindi murmurs in her comms "Roger. I'm going to let them pass. We can hit them from behind when the group outside does. Should get a clean shot." She carefully tries to move around the display to keep out of sight as they approach and head past.

Nerys kept her position, a squeeze of her hand telescoping the bow out to its full length, as she took a knee at her chosen position. "Switch to stun, HiBall." The droid made a sound of protest, but did as he was told, moving to a short distance away where he could hide. "I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be."

"Copy. I'm firing as soon as they pass my position. Catch them in a pincer." Tara stays in position, crouched down and waiting for the signal from her sister and Sion.

'They've changed course... they're coming your way. Could be they have what they came for. But that might also be true of us, in a few moments," Sion whispers, quietly moving in the wake of the goons, though she crosses back and forth a couple times to check chambers along the way, like any good museum security guard.

She finds a good spot to fire from behind the solid marble banister of a ramp the goons had gone down, out of the line of fire of the rest of the group but with a good visual of their targets. "In position."

Nubri looks down the sights of her carbines "Well, here come the drums..." she muses, checking the setting once more. Sadly, she is spotted by a Codru-Ji, who passed Si and Bindi. Time to open fire

As the blasterfire begins, Bindi leans out from behind her cover, targeting one of the Codru-Ji. Unfortunately a scrape of her armor gives her away, her target whirling and diving to the side as another stun bolt goes shooting past, missing clean as she tries to reacquire again.

Nerys leaned forward, weighting herself as she watched HiBall out of the corner of her eye. She lifted her bow, her shot going wide, but away from HiBall's location, hopefully, making it less likely that they would spot the tiny droid, giving him time to fire twice. One down, two down, and Nerys came across the comms, "The Codru-ji are down, stunned. The others are still up."

Sion, watching those Codru-Ji go down, nods her quiet congratulations to the shooters. "Nice work!" she whispers, since they can't really see her right now.

She notes the locations of the scattergunners just before she pops up to add her part to the ambush. One goes down under two bright blue stunbolts. Another staggers under one more, but she can't hit the trigger fast enough to put him down for good.

She ducks hastily back down, her weapon still held ready. "Still plenty of fight to be had... watch those scatterguns!"

The attacks catch the guards by surprise, both Codru Ji being don, same as with a scattergunner. Still, the remaining foolishly decide to turn their backs to Nu and Nerys. The scattergun barely misses Bindi's head, destroying the case of the Blunderbuss she was just hiding behind. The shots at Si and Tara are way less accurate. Meanwhile Nu, very narrowly misses her own target with two quick, blue stunbolts.

Well, they were trying not to damage the exhibits....but scatterguns make that hard as wood, plastic, and glass bits go flying as the display Bindi is sheltering behind is damaged, an alarm starting to go off as she tries to snap off another shot towards the scattergunner pinning her down but has to hurry it before ducking back to avoid the next blast. The shot goes wide, again. Sniper rifles - not really built for quite this close!

The targets pass, and Tara opens up with her pistols. Blue stun bolts slam into one of the codru-ji, the hunter judging them the prime target due to them having the most firepower. Her target drops, and she changes targets. Another shot from the Sentinel drops another guard, the followup double tap with the DL-30 striking another.

Since it worked so well last time, Nerys and HiBall repeated their tag team, with the small redhead providing covering fire with her bow, while the droid, who was small, but physically not that mighty, used the cover to shoot at the remaining mercenaries. And Nerys did indeed miss. Because No disinte-- you know the saying. One of he scatterguns wielding mercenaries went down to one shot from the droid, the one with the pistol to the other, leaving a single upright target.

Sion peeks up from her hiding spot behind the ramp banister. she says, covering the area just in case, her arms braced on top of the banister.

Nubri blinks, lowering her carbine "N.... time to move the Codru-Ji. Not sure which is the target, but it is best to hurry. We can make sure whom is whom later. Who knows, maybe we can even get you to that hairdresser of yours." she offers in a teasing voice, reaching under the upper armpit of a former Wyrwolf, after having pulled a pair of cuffs out, cuffing the upper arms dragging him towards the rental speeder "LaAra? I... packed too few pairs, I am afraid."

As the gunfire dies down, Bindi rises to her feet, then strides over to kneel down by the Codru-Ji who was the target, adding a second set of binders for the lower arms to be safe then helping Nubri carry him towards the speeder. "Scattergun." she notes absently. Because the back seat is going to be crowded with their target in there too.

"And that's why I'm getting a share of the bounty." The smirk in Tara's voice is audible, and disposable plastic zipcuffs are retrieved from the hunter's belt and used to restrain BOTH pairs of arms. The second possible target is slung over her shoulders in a soldier's carry, and the Mando clomps her way towards the exit. "We don't have to go too far. I can get Jenth and Kate to bring the ship over and meet us. Plus I've got holding cells on board."

Nerys, once they were sure that the targets were all down, rose from her spot, Hiball hovering over to settle back onto her shoulder. He kept his pistol out, even as Nerys collapsed and put away her bow. His free arm, he wrapped around Nerys' neck, his legs dangling down front and back, so that he looked like an odd heavily armed droid baby. Huge head, tiny body. "We're going to need all of these speeders to move these bodies. I'll get them up and running."

"I'll be out in a minute to help. I need to get my armor from up front," Sion says. "The former owner of this uniform will be wanting it back. Besides, it's a little big." She heads for the front.

Nubri nods "Good idea. So, whose Scattergun are you, Bimmi?" she wonders, starting to move the other guys into the next speeder "Lara, call Jade to prepare the ship, please?" she requests "Good. I drive one, Si the other, you the third, N?"
