Kora: When you wish upon a cyberneticist

OOC Date: March 17, 2020
Location: Smuggler's Den Nar Shaddaa
Participants: Erisi Auslese, Ca'tra Kora, Sar Yavok, Kirioth Kora and Hadrix Kora Clan Kora

"There's a lot to learn from what I continue to find out." Roth tells him as she looks over to him. "Honor is a big thing. I try to live by that code, and try to do what I've always done on top of it." she points out. Then there's a faint smile, "I don't think I asked her name, is it okay to?" she asks him.

Roth and Sar are at the bar in conversation for the moment.

"Tess," Sar answers, a pang of guilt and sadness creeping onto his face as he does. "Tess Ul'Datha. Clan Tal. My clan," he adds, lifting his beer for another long sip. "She was a firecracker. Died sticking it to the First Order."

You paged Ca'tra Kora with 'Just need to relax, and as for Roth - she can be friends with whom she wishes as well. Dunno about anything more than that.' Ca'tra Kora (cv) pages: Yes, she can.

Heavy footfalls as the door opens are the sign of Hadrix slipping into the Den, Ca'tra in tow with Gripper floating at his other shoulder - running sweeps of the area.

"Looking clear, Hadrix." the big man nods, bare head today, helmet clipped on his belt. There is a moment spared to nod to Roth and Sar in turn - the mention of Tess stopping him short for just a moment.

Not a time to mention he was one of the two who killed her, and her droid, that day.

"VIP booth, Ca'ika." motioning towards his ramshackle U of sectional couch and blinder 'partition' while Gripper gets drinks.

Erisi coming in out from the wind and rain is Erisi, who chose this local spot because it was the closest to the First Order base, and because if she did set it on fire she'd be doing a community service. Win-win either way you put it. Umbrella is given a shake out as the bespectacled woman glances around for a table that is mostly in one piece, the bar given a quick look and crossed out for potential spots, another table taken instead as a guy gets up to go to the refresher out in the alley. Trotting over she'll set her umbrella down on the edge of the table, unzipping her coat with her one hand and wriggling out of said coat, leaving her in a sleeveless blouse so she can be better ogled. Pulling out a dingy lawnchair from said table opens it up to be sat in, which she does, woman facing the door so she can watch for those she's meeting. And then Hadrix comes in, and heads off to a sectional couch, her lips pulling down as she lets out an audible, "Ohkay." And up she pops, scooping coat up into elbow crook and snagging umbrella to head to that couch, "Hey, sorry." Sitting down slowly she will rest back into the questionable soft surface of the cushions, "I was mostly dead like two days ago, was finally released ....guess who has /another/ new lung." This laaddddy.

Ca'tra follows after a quick survey of the bar. Lifting her helmet, the HUD goes dark as she walks behind Hadrix to the VIP booth. VIP brings a brief wry smile to her face. She nods to Roth in passing, giving a short nod to the older man talking to her then disappears behind the partition to join Hadrix.

"Tess is a pretty name." Roth tells Sar. Then she gives a nod at how she died, "I don't really have a comment on the FO, I know that there are people that work with them when the credits are good." she nods. Then there's a look to Hadrix and Ca'tra that come in and there's a wave, "Hey boss." the Arkanian calls. Then there's a look back to Sar, "Looks like business is picking up." she murmurs.

"I thought so, too. I didn't meet her until a couple years ago, though, so I didn't have any say in picking it out. Her momma never told me about her, and she kicked it shortly after Tess was born," Sar explains, shrugging slightly as he says this. "That's the way things go, I guess," he says, looking at the line of people entering the bar. "Looks like the whole clan's showin' up," he says.

The U of sectional couch is actually fairly clean... It's Hadrix's personal sitting area, a table set between the half ring. Bowing his head when Erisi takes her seat, "It's not fun, one of mine is reinforced with durasteel fiberline mesh, ribs too." getting himself situated.

"I assume you won't be upset at the idea of our surgeon running scans on you, so that we can prepare ahead of time. If you're doing this favor for Kora, we would like to expediate you getting your arm - since have been waiting long enough, no?" motioning to Gripper who has several items to choose from, for libation.

"I brought my medical files of what our medical personnel have completed in terms of reconstruction, and all pertinent imaging." Said as she gets comfortable on the mostly clean couch, digging through a pocket of the coat which is now in her lap with the umbrella, "So no more scanning needed, and I'm also contacting another medical doctor who specializes in this sort, so we might not even need to hustle if he has the parts ready." Said as she brings out a small disk, flipping it over in her fingertips to eye it a long moment, "Yeah this is it .." Towards Ca'tra she'll hold out the disc, "I'll let you know. Guy is on Tatooine, word says he's kinda okay." A crooked smile touches her lips as she shrugs, "He gave some chick a bug leg, and another one some weird gun arm."

Roth's white gaze looks over her shoulder to where the clan is holding a meeting and then she looks back to Sar. Her beer gets finished off and she motions for another one. "Sorry for the loss. Even if you didn't know her until a few years ago." she murmurs. "You just slumming it down here for the evening?" she asks him as she tries to change to a maybe lighter subject.

"Oh, somethin' like that," Sar says, looking at the chronometer installed on the bottom side of his right gauntlet. "Sposed to be meeting a Guild member before too long about tracking down a target," he says, lifting his beer and knocking the rest of it back. "In fact, I should probably be heading that way, soon."

His helmet is lifted and situated back onto his head, the side of it given a few soft whacks to get the readings to stop frizzing out. "You're welcome to tag along, but if not, I'll just have to get /uou/ a drink next time," he says, visor falling on the Arkanian's face. "Take care, Roth," he says, lifting a pair of fingers to offer her a salute and begin his walk toward the door.

Helmet on the seat next to her, Ca'tra laconically lifts an eyebrow at the woman across from her, staring frankly. Perhaps, in some distant past they share DNA - both women being almond eyed with matte complexions. The resemblance ends there. The doctor's eyes inventory the visible and the invisible, the subject of their discussion is manifestly obvious. Her would-be patient is missing an arm.

"First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm Doctor Ca'tra of Clan Kora. Hadrix told me a very little about you." Ca'tra dips her head, light shining on her black hair.

"It will depend on how recent the scans are, you know. As your doctor, if you choose to have me perform the surgery, I may want more. I know the doctor on Tatooine by reputation. We are a relatively small community across the galaxy of cybernetic specialists. Some specialize in the arcane. I specialize in cybernetics that blend with the body, human, near-human, even Houk."

Roth gives a smile to that, "Happy hunting." she tells him. "And you know where to find me and can send me a message as well." she gives him a salute in return. Then she's looking to the divider and decides that maaaaaybe she doesn't want to interrupt the meeting with folks. Probably wise!

"Percy? Or is it Perry?" So he's had experience with some of the docts on Tatooine it seems, though he quiets when Ca'tra talks and makes her inquiry, allowing himself more time to look to the leaving Sar and then towards Roth while she remains at the bar. Best bouncer. Mandalorian with stab things. Bowing his head to the Arkanian before he is looking between Erisi and Ca'tra again.

"These are from yesterday when I was released from a bacta tank after spending nearly three days in it from being pretty much dead." Erisi states with a shrug, "So they're ..super recent. I don't think you need more right now." Withdrawing the disk, as it's apparently not needed at the moment, Erisi will instead set it on her thigh, listening and nodding, "Also ..a pleasure, doctor Ca'tra. I'm Lady Erisi Auslese, and ...crap. Perry maybe?" Said with a sudden frown to Had and his question, "I've only met him once, he looked real sick and I didn't want to you know ..catch anything from him." A 'yikes' face is pulled as she looks between Ca'tra and Had, "Y'know? But word is he's got good prices, and is pretty good. Like you, Doctor. So. I have these scans, anything else you guys need right now to see what's possible?" A beat, woman once more holding out the disk to Ca'tra, reaching forwards with a slightly pained look, definitely not completely healed from her time in the bacta.

Reaching out a hand to take the disc, nodding to Ca'tra slightly, "I can hold onto the scans as needed. In exchange for the location of where to get that equipment Kora would address the debt for the replacement paid as well. It benefits both parties, no need to muss things up with money, honestly, Erisi. I'd like to think we're old friends, and I don't charge my old friends to help them, eh?" lifting the pitcher that serves him as a mug to take a deep gulp from.

Roth gives a look over the bar and then dips behind it to pick up her pack. She gives Hadrix and the others a nod as she starts to head for the door, not wanting to interrupt their conversation. She gives a pat to the shoulder of one of the drunks slumped by the door but otherwise doesn't move them as she heads out.

Nodding her thanks to Hadrix, "I have left the subject of renumeration in the hands of my aliit brother. That is not my concern." A faint smile illuminates her face as she looks between the two. "My concern is that you feel that you would be in good hands. I assisted and led numerous operations of the sort that would have a direct bearing on your surgery. War time provides doctors with ample opportunity to hone their skills."

She glances away a moment then fixes on Erisi, "The scans are very specific, nerve placement being the most important. DNA analysis so we have a perfect match for nerve grafts and for skin. Nothing intrusive and the cost is part of the whole procedure which includes rehabilitating you and teaching you to make perfect use of your new arm. If you have any questions, I'd be more than glad to answer them." She taps a finger to her mouth, "Oh, it's Percival. Percy. He was a doctor with the Resistance for a while if I remember the rumors rightly."

"Lotho Minor." Erisi states as the chip is taken, and she'll lean back while looking between the two, "A medical ship, Here Comes Comfort, was scuttled there ages and ages back, maybe hundreds of years. From what I know --" A glance is given around the partition towards the bar with a little lean, "It crashed through into a cave system, part of it is above ground, but it's overrun by flaming droids and these creatures which I hear eat metal? I don't know how real the last part is, but ..." Up shoulder goes, woman nodding as she listens to everything Ca'tra says, "Our doctor, Jacali, is pretty damn thorough in what she does, so I'm sure you have all that and more." Erisi is seated with two Kora Clan members on a sectional couch with a partition separating them from the rest of the bar, "I do have a question." A pause, the diminutive woman's tongue poking to the left corner of her mouth, "Will ..or rather .." Her chest rises and pauses in exhalation, lips mushing together with some lack of sureity, "Actually, it's a stupid question -- that's right though, /Percy/. And /was/? Not /is/?" Some surprise in her tone.

"To Percy's affiliations, I don't know... I recall Jacali though. She threw a spider at me on Deveron and I had to bring her to safe grounds for medical care. She's good at her work though." Hadrix's brow knits, "Metal eating monsters and droids... Easily handled I expect... I may need to pick up a strip of Ion Grenades, maybe..." lips in a line as he thinks.

"I'll tell the clan, we can be mobilized very quickly, Erisi." the big man notes, "Crawl in, wreck metal and get the equipment out."

"Undoubted, Dr. Jacali is good at what she does. If the information is in place then it will make work proceed all that much faster. If speed is a concern for you. Mine is doing the very best for you and giving you an arm that will functionally surpass a normal arm. Better strength and durability, as well, as sensation that you will have neural control over. If you are wounded, the pain can be turned off but in other circumstances you'll feel, let's say the flutter of the passing wind on your sleeve." A little mischievous light passes through Ca'tra's blue eyes.

leaning forward, eyebrows lifted inquisitively, "What was your question?"

"It's not, not really, I expected a wait time of at least two months through my people, so if it's even half that time frame." Her head bobs a few times, spectacles touched with her fingertips as she pushes them back up her nose, "And great, you guys are all brutes, so I imagine you'll smash through whatever is there. From what I know, and paid to know, they have pretty good tech, even though it's hundreds of years old." Question, she asked a question, and her hand lifts from arm of her glasses to wave dismissively through the air. "You pretty much just answered it, so no need. Uhhh .." The last sound drags from her throat for an unnecessarily long moment, lips pursing as she tries to capture a thought that seems to have zipped away just as fast as it came, "...Yeah no, all answered. Okay, so ... I will leave you guys to it, meet with Percy to see his end of things, and ..yeah." Hand slaps down on her thigh, woman readying her items so she can leave, "You all need anything else from me?"

Blinking with puzzlement, Ca'tra purses her lips and looks down considering her words, "Percival's end of things?"

"None from me, Erisi -" stopping at Ca'tra's inquiry, brows raised in mild curiosity, already Gripper is clicking and Hadrix is accessing the datapad on his gauntlet, tapping away. "We could be ready to move on this in a few days." organic eye narrowing for a moment, "State of equipment will dictate time for install. We will likely need to bring you to the Aliit'yaim for the surgery."

"See his timeline on the arm. And ability." Erisi states as she leans forwards and ever so carefully pushes up off the couch, coat swung over one shoulder and slung onto her arm, "A few days? And ...okay ..." She has no idea what Hadrix said, busily tugging her coat over her shoulder to settle it over the spot where her other shoulder would be, umbrella yanked up, "Gotta go through all my options so I make the best choice, right?" A perky smile dashes across her lips, "Okay guys, I'll talk soon, let me know how the recovery goes."
