Siak-series Protocol Droid
Siak-series protocol droids were a model designed by Roche Hive Mechanical Apparatus Design and Construction Activity for Those Who Need the Hive's Machines. While humanoid, their insectoid features were not popular with many humanoid races, meaning that their largest customers tended to be insectoid themselves. Despite this, they were Roche's greatest success, following the failure of their J-9 worker series.
A Siak-series stands 1.5 meters tall and are equipped with a TranLang IV Communicator module, two Photoreceptors, two auditory receptors, a languages database, a Verpinoid body and head, and a vocabulator.
