Background and History

The Simiyiar-class light freighter was a popular Mon Calamari transport in use during the Galactic Civil War.

It was 26.3 meters in length and armed with a turreted dual laser cannon and an ion cannon. It could carry eight passengers and 150 tons of cargo, and was equipped with a backup shield generator. Common to most Mon-Calamari vessels, no two of even the same class are identical in appearance. They also have not only heavy armor plating but also heavy shields with backup shields giving them quite a bit of lasting power in a skirmish.
