Background and History

The Clearwater is one of the newer designs to come out of the Mon Calamari yards, being a further refinement of its attempts to expand into the transport market. By far the largest of the shipyard's light transport designs, the Clearwater straddles the line between the light and medium classes with an enormous cargo bay and excellent defenses, as well as astonishingly comfortable berths for crew and passengers. However, all this space and power comes at a premium; though a 'light' freighter, its pricetag lands firmly in territory of larger industrial transports.
