Captain Phasma briefs Delta Squad on their second mission

OOC Date: December 30 2015
Location: Finaliser
Participants: Phasma, FN-2432, FN-4126, NV-1268, RK-8801

Sounding throughout the ship, the unmistakable sound of Captain Phasma's vocoder rings out; "All on-duty Stormtroopers, proceed to Stormtrooper Command for briefing and armament. Mission will commence in three hours." The communication is cut off just as soon as it started.

As the clattering of boots echoes in the corridor, Beta Company's Lieutenant is one of the last to assemble. It's her custom to make sure her troops are all present and accounted for, after all. Tilting her head forward, long hair is twisted into a loose bun atop her head and she pulls the helmet on with a practiced maneuver.

NV-1268 is fresh off of an assignment for General Hux and has only just returned to the Star Destroyer before the Captain requests her presence. The trooper hadn't even made time to remove her helmet so she is primed to go and heads down the corridor quickly. In less than two minutes she is entering the command room, standing at attention just inside the door and awaiting orders. The presence of others keeps her from speaking - there is no need. Everyone knows why they are here.

RK-8801 is fresh off the shuttle, the dust and soot from the fight still covers her armor. But her weapons are pristine, and reloaded. She has just touched deck when the summon comes. She marches, literally at speed. She halts by her comrades, assuming Parade rest. Waiting.

Once she is satisfied that enough are present, Captain Phasma -- clad in Chromium armor -- rises from the head of the table. "Today's mission will be a fairly simple one. The enemy enemy barracks (the screen shows the location with a red dot) where intelligence would suggest a large portion of enemy weapons are being supplied out of. To this end, we need to destroy the barracks. This mission should be simple, expect resistance to be largely untrained with few veterans, we are dealing with a militia force. From what intelligence we can gather, the forces on Serenno are receiving arms from an unknown benefactor, possibly Republic, possibly Resistance." Finishing to take a breath, Phasma adds, "That is all. Additional mission information will be disseminated as Intelligence informs me. Are there any questions?"

FN-2432 remains at the back of the group once they're all assembled, the Lieutenant keeping a practiced and watchful eye over the troops. Even in their armor she reads mannerisms; the little signs and tells. "Are we taking prisoners, Captain, or will this be search-and-destroy?" she asks simply, the helmet's filters muffling her voice.

Because there is a Stormtrooper present who outranks her, NV-1268 remains silent and still. All of the pertinent questions will be asked. Were that not the case, FN-2432 would not be a Lieutenant. As the LT is scanning her troops for mannerisms she will note that NV-1268 is both still and quite upright. There is no movement to speak of, but she is most assuredly listening.

RK-8801 is still, utterly still. Or at least to eyes of those not knowing her. Those that do, they can see the little signs. Her breathing is slow and deep. She leans forward, just a little, weight on the balls of her feet. She is ready for action. Craving it even.....

"No prisoners, FN-2432. If this changes, you will know. There is no secondary objective for now." Phasma says through her vocoder, no emotion evident in her voice. "Delta Squad will be leading the frontal assault while Beta and Gamma will be providing fire support at the request of Delta-Act--" As FN-4126 enters, Phasma stops mid sentence but continues without another though. "Delta-Actual. Alpha Squad will be on standby in case of any complications." With a note of finality, she says, "That is all, mission starts in two hours, take that time to get your equipment checked and make sure you are prepared."

"Yes, Sir." the Lieutenant replies. Her head turns briefly at the late arrival but nothing is said for the moment. This is the Captain's briefing, after all. And when Phasma says 'that is all', the Lieutenant snaps to attention with a definitive, brisk clatter.

Sergeant FN-4126, entering, pauses to snap to attention. "FN-4126 reporting. My apologies for the late arrival. The counsellors would not release me any sooner," she says, not bothering to sit down. There's nothing more to hear, after all. The armoured woman nods in acknowledgement to the other three troopers here.

RK-8801 listens, intently. Behind the helmet her expression is serious. At the conclusion, she snaps to perfect attention. Back ramrod straight, arms just so...

NV-1268 has been standing at rigid attention throughout the entire meeting, so it is after they are all dismissed that she takes a breath, then quickly directs her undivided attention to the Lieutenant. She is still armoured up and ready to go, so preparation might only be washing the dust of Serenno off of her.
