The Guild has a nasty dogfight over the ruins of Kef Bir.

OOC Date: April 22, 2021
Location: Kef Bir
Participants: Bounty Hunters' Guild, Boba Fett, Aubrei, Hadrix Kora, Zelo Parrai, Terek Rosol, Lady Fae Renta NPC, Sumi Kora

Kef Bir, Mid Day, Cloudy with choppy air

<<"All craft, this is Rotworm, check in.">> Sumi calls, her voice cold as the nacelles of her Y-Wing light up and the craft pushes through the atmosphere to the point of breaking the sound barrier, supersonic speeds. Signals were already pinging their computer from a large craft that was hovering over the sea-washed ruins of an era old skeleton, the Death Star. Even from this distance, the squadron of make-shift craft could see the old ruins like jutting daggers that stick up out of the blue sea.

A Maruader class corvette lingers above it at a steady hover, its shields coming online moments after releasing a string of fighter craft to intercept OUR squadron. <<"They are sending us a welcome party.">> Sumi intones while reaching over in her shaking cockpit to bring her shields online. The old wishbone she is in seems to hold against the weather, but its sluggish movements make her miss her E-Wing.

The craft that come their way begin to manifest on the sensors. 3 Dunelizards, 2 Z-95 Headhunters, a Porax-38 and a YT-2400 named 'Big Rig' leading the charge. Behind them, and looming (as if finishing its business) is the Marauder corvette, its name on sensors proving the pirates had a sense of humor ('Old and Busted').

Incom definitely made them to last, even if the intended pilots and gunners weren't made for the same. Clone Wars GAR surplus, picked up by chance and restored for use, the ARC-170 is giving a heavy thrum and chug in atmosphere. Big, heavy and heavily armed with S-foils opening at the note about the greeting party by Sumi - they called this thing a Recon fighter... back in the day.

<<"Ka'Shukalar, reporting.">> Hadrix was thumbing toggles on a display while speaking into his ship intercop, "Greeza, Pheegus, about to have company. Be ready."

"Oya mando!" the translator voice from the Ithorian in one of the gunner seats echoed by the twi'lek while display screens translated from binary.

"We'll keep it running just fine, stop nagging. You're worse than a holodrama mother." Head shaking, the Al'Verde Kora banks his craft to take position at Sumi's 4:30. <<"On your flank, Rotworm.">>

<"This is Hunting reporting in. Looks like we have some fun coming our way."> Aubrei clears up her console, moving a few switches to get the scout ready for interception with the incoming ships. As the sensors begin to report back to her, giving her the read outs as she slides in with the others, finding her place with others. Tight formation for the approach before the dog fighting will commence.

She tugs at her straps and makes sure she's safely secured to her seat as she lets out a long breath. "Time for the pep talk. We can do this girl. We got it. Just stay light." She tilts her head and rolls her shoulders, flexing her fingers on the weapons to make sure everything is ready for that first exchange.

The Slave I bursts from hyperspace and lingers in the dark of space on the fringes of the Endor System before the others arrive. The yellow-orange engines of the Firespray come to life and flare up, propelling the vessel forward to move with the others.

<<'The graveyard of the galactic Empire.">> Fett says over the comms in his gruff voice to the others on their team. <<"Even after three decades, the bones of that Empire are still being picked. Keep your wits about you.">> He tells everyone.

The BHG Guildmaster, known publicly as 'Gor Bullet' keeps the ship moving along with the others on either sides of it.

<<"We've got company.">> He announces upon his sensors catching the ships incoming. He raises the Slave I's shields and activates the laser cannons, causing them to swivel and zero-in on their incoming enemies.

Zelo Parrai, the Nautolan in Frogdog - that E-wing that Sumi is missing - is still getting a feel for a new ship as he breaks through the atmo. Normally, the day of an operation would never be the day to take up a new ship, but he had been sold on its increased maneuverability, which was impossible to deny. He weaves side-to-side as he follows in formation on approach to the ruin that once had been the most violent space station the Galaxy had ever known. But that wasn't the target today. No, today was an old grudge come back fresh. For sixteen years, Zelo had fought pirates, slavers, bandits, and their ilk on the border systems, and these were the same who had gotten away from them with so many others. He had missed the call to Rishi, but he would be damned if he missed this one.

<<"Frogdog, reporting in. Sights are setting, on your call.">> There's no banter this time. Not in an engagement of this sort. Behind him, the R3 unit he'd recently found chimes something he doesn't understand. "I don't understand that, but I'll try to dodge what I can, you patch the rest, right Reba?" Okay, maybe some banter. Black-pool eyes narrow behind the t-visor of his Mandalorian helmet, gleaming blue within the E-wing's cockpit.

Terek just spent a lot of money on a ship that would NOT be very useful in a situation like this. But he wasn't about to let his brothers and sisters go into this alone, either.

Sitting in the back of the U-Wing, he knows his job is going to be to support the fighters, and try to bring down anything he manages to get in his sights. Probably not as useful as if he had an X-Wing, but he'll have to keep in mind trying to find one of those later.

At the announcements of incoming hostiles, he rises up, and taps the side of his helmet a couple of times. He straps himself in, and then shoves the door to the U-Wing open, feeling the sudden pressure change, as he shoves the ion turret out to the edge of its railing so he can get full range coverage with it.

<"Just get me a good angle on them, Lady Fae!"> He calls to the pilot, gripping the weapon's handle a bit tighter and getting ready to engage once they're in range.

The fighters on the opposing side begin to spread out, their shields shimmering into existence with the faint hue of blue before transitioning to a transparent presence. Craft begin to edge into the supersonic speeds to close the distance as sensors picked up cannon charges for incoming fire.

Sumi has no speech for the group, it's self explanatory what they should do from here. ENGAGE!

<<"Roger that, Terek.. hang on back there..">> Lady Fae, the Hapan noble turned Mando'ade said from the pilot chair of a BHG U-Wing, its large wing span expanding to lock in place, and fixed cannons spooling up with the beeping noise of her targeting computer. She glances down through the T-shaped visor of her helmet to slap a series of buttons before taking them into the fight, favoring the side Terek is on to give him some good shots.

The YT-2400 squares up with the largest of the incoming crowd, Slave I. Two cannons lock ahead as the odd shaped Corellian light freighter spins before engaging, its pilot, likely Corellian too, screams with exhilaration, having no idea the terror he is about to face down!

<<"Mr. Bullet, clearing your field of that YT.>>" Hadrix taps a key to bring up his targeting viewer as he breaks starboard, <<"Zelo, mind keeping the Alor's wing, meantime?">> tone jovial as the ARC-170 heaves into a banking roll and spiral to point the nose at the 2400 in their path.

An attempt made to keep it in sights as the 170's forward turret spits crimson fire that staggers across the bubble of protective shields while the aft gun fails to find a mark before the craft is hauled around onto the aft quarter of the freighter. <<"Aubrei, good to see you." waggling his wings before he prepares to thumb the firing trigger for his tubes.

Boba listens to the others speaking over comms and chimes in once more before the fighting breaks out. <<"Lets pick off the support ships and try to get the Marauder to run for the stars.">>

His hand goes up to adjust the sensors on to a specific Dunelizard fighter then he puts both hands on the controls of the Firespray and sees the ship line up in his sensor board...

Outside of the cockpit the Slave I's laser cannons come online and he begins to pepper the atmosphere of the moon with shot after shot all aimed at the snubfighter!

The lasers clash against its shields and tear them down!

Zelo peels off, shifting out of formation as the engagement begins. It's chaos when air combat begins, two formations, two flights becoming one windstorm of blaster fire, shrapnel, and less pleasant things. He is pulled short of his instincts by an order from a superior though, and the shot he'd been lining up at an already-damaged Dunelizard is pulled back, going overhead and to its port by a fair amount as he performs a quick aileron roll out of the engagement and into wing-position. <<"Frogdog, copy. In escort by Rotworm, at your wing.">> He spares a thought over to the Hunting Gravitation, but he's too focused on the fight to be greeting friends right now.

Terek starts to go to town with the ion turret, unleashing several shots in a big burst. He's never really done much with turrets before, it shows.

The same basic mechanics should hold as shooting a handgun, just on a larger, much faster scale. Right? His shots fall behind the Z-95, and he plants his feet and tries to re-adjust his aim to get a better lead on the ship.

The initial trade off in the fight yielded one fiery ship plummeting back to the surface of the moon, leaving a trail of black smoke, debris, and fire until the ruins of the headhunter struck the tumultuous sea of Kef Bir. <<"Rekking good shot, Bre,">> Comments Sumi, who had been responsible for bringing the Headhunter's shields to null. The sluggish wishbone breaks off to avoid being shot at by a pursuing Porax-38.

Fett is pursued by Big Rig, the YT-2400, who was not persuaded from its pursuit by the ARC-170 Hadrix and team were in. Hadrix has a tailing Dunelizard on him that crisscrosses with another Dunelizard that chases Bre! Zelo is not on his own either, the Dunelizard Fett had tagged with relentless fire broke off sharply, making use of its agile frame, and quickly zeroed in on the agile Frogdog to fire at them!

Lady Fae and Terek learn quickly the the Z-95 Headhunter was not to be underestimated. Not only did it suddenly angle back and resume a flight path BEHIND them, it opened fire. <<"HOLD ON, TEREK!">> She screamed, twisting the yoke to put the heavy craft into an evasive maneuver that saw Terek looking STRAIGHT toward the ground for a moment.

A twisting spiral made when indicators begin to tone, warning of incoming enemy locks, Hadrix twists his yolk and works the etheric rudder of the antiquated fighter to keep his lock on the 2400 ahead of him. Unwilling to let the Dunelizard chase him off of his prey.

"Pheegus, Greeza, try to box them in." "Copy" "Right!" Greeza's voice thicker with adrenaline, a stark contrast to the grunts and warbles translated into Pheegus's translated replies. Both gunners leaning into their control seats.

<<"Picked up a tail.">> a slaloming weave made, making the ARC seem to shift like a fish-tailing speeder whose repulsors and stabilizers are firing out of sink. Again only one of the turrets make contact, whittling away at shields before a sphere of unstable red light is spit and surges for the YT trailing fire.

<<"Ordinance away.">> Hadrix's growling tone again on comms before the detonation momentarily opaques his viewscreen and his helmet systems compensate in turn. <<"Hit, still up.">> barely, the YT's shields were repto-avian wire fence of failing particle bands.

<"Could not have done it without your help, but glad to see there is one less buzzing gnat for us to deal with,"> Aubrei clears the coms quickly and finds the beleaguered dunelizard shieldless. Which means nothing when she settles in with a sway of her ship because the double cannon blast zips right by him but does give him a wake up call. "Blast it all...still one."

She wets her lips and glances down at her sensor as she evens out and moves out to pull back and bring herself around lest the one behind her tag her own ship.

The enemy wave comes and goes, sweeping past the Slave I and the rest on the wings of the Firespray. The fight is on.

The Dunelizard that Fett fired at zips right on past his ship's starboard side, but Boba doesn't le thtat stop him. He sweeps the laser cannons around to let them trail after his ship, waiting for the Lizard to move in to a turn, as another takes shots at it, guiding the ship right to where he wants it.

The Slave I's cannons come online again, firing rapidly and tearing the Dunelizard apart, leaving a ball of fire and debris falling toward the moon below!

The Firesprays cannons snap back forward then as the rumbling engines that push it forward carry it through laser fire that try to ping off its shields.

<<"Now we've got them all riled up.">> He comments.

Zelo continues to shadow Rotworm as the battle unfolds, sticking to the orders of Kora's Al'verde. He doesn't make it easy for the Dunelizard following him, the opposing pilot seeming to have taken that wide shot personally. Even as the Gravitation's pilot tries to peel it off with her own fire, the enemy stays in pursuit by a dancing ship's dodge. It's Gor Bullet though who clears Zelo's tail, giving him some leeway. <<"Frogdog, making a quick hop, I should be in formation again in a moment, Rotworm.">> And Hop the E-wing does, doing a barrel-roll with an Aileron roll in the middle, pulling hard around a curve to drop a quick shot on the pursuing Sandlizard at the perfect moment in the arc, black-pool eyes rewarded with the fizzle of a shield overload and the hull damage that follows such a failure. He continues the arc and aileron-rolls back to Sumi's wing position again.

<<"Hunting, that enemy on your six is shields-down, likely one more solid one will take care of it. Rotworm, Frodgog back in formation.">>

Now needless to say Terek isn't REALLY given much of a choice but to hold on as Lady Fae pulls a crazy maneuver with him in the back. The cathar holds on, and is grateful that he's fully armored or else one might see just how floofed up his fur is from his glimpse at the never-ending ocean below.

Once the world rights itself, if only for a moment, he manages to get his sights lined up on one of the Dunelizards, noticing its shields flare out of existance a moment before. Terek grins to himself under his helmet, shifts his ion turret a bit further forward and then fires a quick burst of shots. He watches them slam into the sides of the Dunelizard, and the ion goes to work, frying the engines and sending it into a rapid spin down towards the ground below, systems totally shot.

Two more meet a watery grave, and the odds are looking less even and more one-sided. The YT-2400 named 'Big Rig' is still pursuing Slave I, but it has adopted a more evasive pattern now to avoid the ARC-170 and the U-Wing tailing it. Fae's posh voice sounds over the comms to alert Hadrix that, <<"Fae is moving to your wing, Commander.">>

Sumi rocks from a hard hit against her shields, and the Porax-38 tailing her prompts her to look back with a glare. <<"Frogdog, I got one behind me,">> Sumi says, still comm but annoyed by the tone she uses. Hadrix still has a Dunelizard behind him, but the gunner is having a hard time hitting the relic Hadrix and team are flying.

Behind Fae, the Z-95 Headhunter reminds her that its still there with a pair of shots that cause the shields to shimmer. <<"I have one behind me; bloody persistent, that one..">> Fae laments, twisting again though not as harsh this time for Terek.

Down below, the Marauder is beginning to rise up. Whatever its mission had been, it seems to have cut it short to angle toward space. Large engines come to life with a loud, thundering rumble and it slowly angles away from the fighting. It must have something valuable!!

The damage done to the ship behind her causes Aubrei to shift, rocking her ship high and out of the way from the trajectory of the one persuing all the while Zelo cleaning up the mess. <"Thanks for the assist, Frogdog, I appreciate it. Going after the big guy and seeing if I can give him some more wiggle room.">

She accelerates and then suddenly cuts speed to pull a sharp turn to get behind Hadrix problem and now become its problem. COMPOUND PROBLEMS.

Save that she misses and thankfully misses the Arc fighter as well. <"Drat, missed. He's still hugging your backside.">

<<"Ka'Shukalar, Copy Fae, mind telling my tail I already have a dance partner?">> stick turned hard over and thrust cut to momentarily make the lizard at his six over-lead before gunning throttle and trying to bring himself up under the ventral side of the Big Rig. "Shields are low, try to peel off the rest and we'll see if we can open her up, vode." cannon shots sizzle past port side wing S-foils and Heiyuu's shrieking binary distress cuts through internals.

"I know! I KNOW!" teeth gritted while dipsy doodling a snaking path to deke his craft before all of the cannons on the old ARC open up with the BWATBWATBWATBWAT of link fire cannons <<"Still appreciated, Aubrei!">> situational awareness, head on a swivel and another push of his throttle while cannon fire tears holes in shields that have laced themselves back together again - though thinly in their wake.

<<"Big Rig is starting to open up.">>

Zelo cranes his neck about, now spotting the Porax-38 that had been in his blindspot. How he hadn't noticed it in all the other maneuvering he wasn't sure. Only so much can be written off as new-ship troubles. <<"Copy, Rotworm. My apologies, it was in my wash and I somehow didn't catch a glimpse. Moving to engage, over.">> And Zelo slams his thrusters full revers, letting the dampeners keep him from passing out as he wheels into a barrel roll and tries to drop some fire on the Porax-38 as he drops into his new position. The massive laser bolts go unfortunately wide, but the E-wing drops smartly into place directly between Rotworm and the pursuer.

<<"Rotworm, on your six. Playing intercept until I get my mess cleaned up.">> The Nautolan weaves, doing his best to always be between the Porax and his Alor.

With things going the way they are, Terek knows he'll have to see if he can get a shot on that YT. It seems like it's being the biggest problem for the group right now. For now, he seems to have a better shot on the Headhunter, though. He fires, but the weapon jams after only a couple of shots, "Damn!" He yells at nobody but himself, quickly working to fix the issue and get the weapon back online

The Slave I has finally taken notice of the YT-2400 named 'Big Rig' and reminds the Corellian made freighter that the Firespray is the apex predator in the sky. A concussion missile spreads across its shields, shimmering and causing them to dim further. Boba Fett, inside the cockpit, brings his vessel around with the casual manipulation of his controls until the vessel he's attacking dominates his view, the Slave I proving its prowess by flipping to the Corellian's stern. PENKPENKPENKPENK sound loudly as cannon fire trails after the evading craft!

<<"Don't beat yourself up, warrior, I still have /some/ shields,">> Sumi comments to Zelo as he took the Frogdog to go after the Porax-38, though yielding little success in persuading it off the sluggish wishbone Sumi flies.

Zelo also adopts a new tail, the Headhunter that had been chasing the U-Wing Lady Fae was flying switched paths to engage Frogdog. It is very successful, smashing the shields of the agile craft and settling in behind it.

Aubrei has a Dunelizard on her firing constantly, trying its best to bring the Pacifier into a damaging flight path. Aubrei proves too good a pilot, for now! Sumi is still pursued by the Porax-38, and it dips low to trace after the Y-Wing, making Sumi grumble from both the G's and the stress of being chased. Her droid at least informs her that shields were back to ninety percent. <"You do good work, Rain. I do not care what Fae says about you.">

The Marauder corvette named 'Old and Busted' is beginning to gain traction and has reached the same altitude (though not the same area) as the dog fight.

"Shab!" Greeza bites out, "They're getting close Hadrix!" "Don't you think I already have the droid telling me that?" "I'm the one on the aft end of the ship!" The twi'lek snarls and the hooting gurgling laugh of the Ithorian follows. Shields sparking as plasma trails a little to close for there to be no heat reaction.

<<"Ka'Shukalar, that Marauder is starting to get a bit close, watch their point turrets.">> Hadrix calls out while his craft heels over and swings wide, engines rumbling to a throaty growl before turrets open up again, chewing away at the fading YT-2400s shields before the main twin-link cannons of the ARC speak, collapsing them and etching a dotted line of carbon scoring and molten metal in the wake of their fire.

<<"Mr. Bullet - looks like you thinned them out enough for me to kick open the door. All yours.">> buzzing over the dorsal side of the craft now, preparing to wing over for another pass.

"Just...hold still...." this said as she is trying to keep out of line of fire with the ship that is giving her some grief. But Aubrei is focused in on lining up on her target, getting her shot set up so when she squeezes the trigger both of the shots hit. BOOM BOOM. But in space you can hear no such thing. BUt she can brielfy see it and she cheers inside her cockpit.

<"Tagged your bogey, big man. He's feeling it! Next shot he's gone."> If he does not see reason.

Fett's mirrored T-shaped visor reflects the explosion of the missile from outside of the Slave I's forward viewport, but he's not done there. The cannons come back online and he starts to unleash lines of hot laser death at the freighter.

<<"Corellian ships. Always a pleasure to watch fall apart.">> Fett replies to Hadrix as he keeps his ship's guns going, watching the lasers rip apart the Rig's hull, tearing in to the sub systems beneath it.

<<"If any of them wise up and bug out, let them flee. Keep focus on those staying in the fight to minimize our own losses.">> Fett adds over comms while he keeps tracking on the YT, waiting to see it crack or flee.

The Nautolan pilot fails to distract the Porax, but does manage to attact a Z-95, who decidedly brings down his shield battery. <"Reba, patch what you can!"> Reba, for her part, wails out a shrill whistle and gets to work. Zelo nods, not that anyone can tell what the Nautolan's doing, besides perhaps the Porax behind him, or his pursuing Z-95. <<"Fair enough. Rotworm, dropping back to get a better shot on this one.">> Another barrel roll flips him behind the Porax-38, but not shaking the Z-95. He pulls up to line up his shot but there's a hesitation as he makes sure he won't hit Sumi in the Y-wing ahead of this aerial conga line. When he does pull the trigger, the hesitation costs him and the shot goes wide, narrowly missing hitting anything on its way to the boundaries of range. At least Reba has some mild success.

<"Must be the new ship smell, I'll get used to it eventually.">

<"How you doin' up there, Fae?!"> Terek calls out over comms, as he looks over his shoulder towards the cockpit, <"Keep it up! We've almost got 'em all!"> His attention turns back to the outside, as he locks onto that other Dunelizard.

Since he'd taken care of one earlier, he figures out how to lead this one as well, angling the weapon forward and sending a massive spray of ion bolts into the unshielded ship. Those bolts fry the internals, and send the pilot spiraling down into one of the massive durasteel wreckage of the Death Star that rests in the water.

The Porax-38 stays hot on Sumi's tail even after she leaves them for a temporary loop about the fight. <<"Hang in there, Frogdog.. getting your tail..">> And Sumi is true to her word. When she makes it back, she's on the Z-95 Headhunter's tail and blasts it apart using the pair of cannons beneath the Y-Wing's cockpit. The fiery mess follows the spiraling craft Aubrei and Terek are responsible for dropping out of the sky too. They both disappear beneath the white capped tidal waves of the sea below.

<<"Damn it, this huttsucker is still on my tail!">> Sumi laments, angling away from Zelo to try to evade the Porax-38. Meanwhile, the YT-2400 named 'Big Rig' is hating life. Pieces of its hull are falling off or barely hanging on, and with its hyperdrive gone, there was no running from this fight. The Corellian shows their gumption by returning fire at the Slave I, but it's not enough to fool the seasoned pilot controlling the Firespray into its line of fire, and it misses valiantly.

The corvette begins to disappear into the clouds, engaging its rockets to give it the 'umph' it needed to pull from the gravity of atmosphere and into the void of space. The Porax-38 fighter begins to pull off of Sumi to chase after its ride, looking to dock on the corvette before it could escape the system! That left the YT-2400 'Big Rig' and the BHG squadron.

Aubrei lets out a breath as the fighters are either taken down or flee. Good enough for her and she lets that last one chase after its only way out of the current predicament. However she watches as Hadrix and is crew slam the YT into a death spin and add to the punishment by hitting the departing Porax. , <"Hunting here, unharmed and good to go. How is everyone else? Also, nice shooting there big guy."> She comes about hard to try to find Frogdog, reforming with the rest as her untouched scout is glad for the day off.

Everyone still seems to be here, in some form or another and alive.

<<"Ka'Shukalar, Splash the YT, she's dropping">> said by Hadrix while the turret guns of the ARC swing wide of the Big Rig while Hadrix twists hard, ship spinning as it banks and the Twi'Lek mandalorian in the rear gun seat tracks to fire, pumping rounds into the blue thruster line of the Corellian craft.

<<"Aubrei. Vor entye">> I accept debt, said by the big man before he slams the etheric rudder again, hauling the ship around fully, HUD going green with lock before the main heavy guns of the -recon- ship tears into the Porax, burning through shields and pounding a crater of blackened, molten, metal to the engine core, turning it into a brief star in atmosphere before it sheds debris towards the ground.

<<"Splash two.">> not a small amount of satisfaction in his tone.

<"Damn that was a hell of a shot!"> Terek calls out over the radio, specifically to Hadrix, though really that could go to just about everybody out there.

He does a quick scan over the skyline, but it looks like the squadron managed to splash every enemy without losing a ship. Very impressive. Terek pulls the ion cannon back into the U-Wing and slides the door shut, strapping himself back in.

The Slave I breaks off as the fighter Hadrix is flying makes the finishing moves on the Corellian freighter. The Firespray comes around to scan the battlefield.

Fett's stare goes to his sensors and he watches the last of the ships making their way out. <<"Looks like we've earned our pay today.">> Boba says over the comms, his voice sounding pleased as it ever can be. <<"I'll be transfering you all some credits for the job well done.">>

The Slave I's engines roat in the sky as it passes through the edges of a cloud over the moon's oceans and the Death Star II's wreckage below. Idly curious, Fett starts to activate his scanner specifically on the wreckage...

Zelo actually growls inside his helmet. The black-pool eyes scan for a target as he loses sight of the Porax-38 - ironically, because Rotworm peels back to clean up his own tail. <<"Rotworm, shall we try reverse leapFrogdog here?">> With a pull on the controls and full-stop on the thrusters, he pulls up out of the Y-wing's path and falls for a moment before re-engaging with... Nothing. The Porax is gone. Zelo looks down to see the debris falling away. There is nothing left to fight, and he's not pulled his weight this day. <"Next time, Reba, we stay in the Kimo. Something we know. Could you keep refilling the shields, just to be safe?">

Zelo gets on the wide-comms after giving instructions to the R3 unit. <<"Frogdog, took it all on the shields, fortunately.">> He also pulls into formation, tipping his wing twice to the side where the Hunting Gravitation is pulling up. A pilot's greeting, and a thank you. His words won't serve right now.

<<"I think we're going to make it, Terek!">> Fae calls back to the Cathar. With all hostiles eliminated in succinct fashion. The wings fold inward, giving the craft more of a boost when the engines flared. Air rushed into the hold where Terek was gunning, and he had a view of the old Death Star ruins.

<<"Good work, team. Rekking good gunning, Hadrix.">> Sumi spirals low to take a descending angle toward the sea and wreckage below. The instruments in her cockpit beep and boop with proximity alerts, but the century old warrior knows when she ought to pull up to avoid death. Rain begins to fall, and the contrails from their engines leave trails of steam behind them. <<"What do you think they took?">> Sumi asks aloud.

The scans Boba Fett pull back reveal super-heated metal along the outer hull of the old ruins, particularly where armor plating was still intact. Enhanced scans showed that there were a lot of plates missing, along with turrets in some places where it was likely that they survived.

In space, the Marauder leaps to hyperspace, but not before a smooth, feminine voice cuts over the comms. It's Aurra Sing.

<<"I managed a deep scan, Mr. /Bullet/. I'll run the numbers through our network to see if it comes up again. Mmmm, maybe we'll get lucky.">>
