The Art of Forging

Location: Temple Workroom - Coruscant
Participants: Merulia, Aryn Cole, Yusanis

[ Merulia (Meru)]************************************************************* Coruscant, as busy and frantic as ever, as industrial as Merulia had expected and about as far as one could get from Dathomir...but the Nightsister was here.

Wrapped in her dark robes over her Nightsister clothing, the blonde Sephi had moved her way through the trial chambers, past troops, students and acolytes alike. Pushing into the temple workroom she seems to pause for a moment, closing her eyes and inhaling the scent and the sounds of the chaotic energy of the room and the trials above before she begins to move as if guided towards the octagonal raised platform that was the forge.

[ Aryn Cortess (AC)]********************************************************** Asked to be in attendance, Aryn observed the ritual of the forge and quietly stood to one side, hands clasped at her lower back. Memories of her first forged lightsaber fill her mind, and she recalls the jungles of Yavin IV, the cool stones of the Massassi temples, and the quiet of the forge she worked in solitude as she communed with the Force to piece together the weapon.

[ Yusanis (Yus)]************************************************************** It wasn't long before the Echani was waltzing in himself, black robes over black clothing. His eyes raking it all in as he shrugs his shoulders. "I can't believe I did that." He grumbles to himself quietly as he too moves to where Aryn stands, his eyes focused on Meru.

[ Merulia (Meru)]************************************************************* Ritual, practice, tradition. Whatever the rationale, Meru did indeed have others watching her as she moved to the space, opening her eyes and setting down the small wrapped bundle that was the pieces she'd formed for the weapon she hoped to construct. Every movement was smooth, slow and measured with an almost ritualistic feel to her. After all, the weapon was intended to be a tribute to her sisters and to Dathomir as much as it was something for her to wield.

Perhaps if she knew of the forge of Yavin IV it would suit her better, but she was to be Sith as much as NightSister, she had to embrace some of their ways as well. Besides, the challenge of the forge itself being so different was perhaps part of the point...

Her eyes lifted, drifting over the others who entered after here or were here to observe.

[ Aryn Cortess (AC)]********************************************************** Aryn's gaze temporarily shifts to Lord Yusanis who arrived, though she could not make out what it was he said when he approached. Looking onward, she focused on Merulia as she approached the Forge to begin the process. This was as much a feat through the Force as it was of modern engineering.

[ Yusanis (Yus)]************************************************************** Yusanis gives a bow to Aryn before looking back to Meru he leans back a moment before looking back to Meru, his eyes focused on what she's doing never leaving the events.

[ Merulia (Meru)]************************************************************* Slowly the pieces are laid out as Merulia offers a little smile to the pair, a nod of thanks before she comes back towards the weapon pieces and gently comes to remove the ties that secured her crystal into the improvised necklace that rested against her neckline, close to her heart.

With the glowing red lightsaber crystal lifted in her fingertips, she moves to lift it upwards and focuses her gaze and her senses on the gem. Senses that reach out, making to feel what she could of the temple, the city, the planet...and then inwards. To the primality, to the wildness and engry that sprung from the force and the passions of the darkside.

Slowly the crystal began to float upwards, taking on a brighter sheen.

[ Aryn Cortess (AC)]********************************************************** "When the time comes to create your own lightsaber, you must be strong enough in the Force to will its shape into reality, for the components to match up perfect, and for the crystal to be attuned to you. It demonstrates a full understanding of perception, power, and technique." Aryn says to Yusanis' benefit, her pose unchanging as she observed.

[ Yusanis (Yus)]************************************************************** Yusanis nods his head thoughtfully as he continues to watch Meru's work he thinks to himself and again a flicker if anger or irritation seems to flit across his features. "Would you mind coming with me to hunt for my Crystal and components. It appears the ones I obtained or thought I had were....well forgeries for lack of a better word." He says still angry with himself for having fallen for something like that. Though he Goes quiet again so as not to disturb Meru.

[ Merulia (Meru)]************************************************************* Into the crystal Merulia was pouring her senses, her connection, herself. Coruscant was a world of technology and history, pain and delight, hope and fear...so very different from that which she knew intently and yet...she could sense the drive, the desire to survive, the life and death of those around her as surely as any beast on the Witch's deathworld. She had to grasp it, to draw it into herself and then into the weapon to be as slowly she extended her hands and the components began to levitate and dance weightlessly, circling the crystal as it joined their little aerial ballet.

[ Aryn Cortess (AC)]********************************************************** "I am sure we can find a crystal suitable to your needs. I will come with you if only to verify what it is you have gathered so you do not make the same mistake twice." Aryn intones, arms raising to cross over her chest. Her gaze briefly moves from Meru to Yusanis, then back to Meru.

[ Yusanis (Yus)]************************************************************** Yusanis nods his head. "Thank you Lady Aryn." He bows his head. "I was a bit to hasty and have paid the price, I'll be happy to have your guidance." He states as he watches Meru again. "It's beautiful, almost like Echani sword dance in its grace."
