The Gathering Force III

OOC Date: October 28, 2018
Location: Kafrene
Participants: Jedi Order: Rey, Zandra naMuriel, and Elrych Cometburn

Elrych was along for the ride on this one. It took EVERYONE to get the 40-50 people, all the non force sensitive family members onto transports. Be that the Spike, The Sands, or what ever else was available. It was a slow process that took over a week. They were lucky, no snags, and had found a reliable route during the busy shipping times. The hard part was tonight though. When the 15 Force Sensitives that were left had finished their long grueling hours at the Credit Grab, the took small packs and gathered by the entrance to the back alley way route that they had been using all along. The Corellian Jedi was there, glasses, robes, and all. "Alright... Just wait here... give us a moment. A scout is coming back now."

Rey appears not far from where Elrych is and she moves toward him. She has her dark blue clothing on, with the hood up over her head and the mask covering her lower face. She slides up beside Elrych and she whispers to him loud enough to make it easily heard. "We can't take these people to the Academy." She tells him. "The security risk is too high." Rey's eyes look out over those before them and she draws in a breath from behind her mask. "We have to find somewhere safe, that is far enough removed that these people are safe... even if they're... Sensitives." She looks back to Elrych. "They have to be vetted before they can be trusted."

Zan has the Pure Sabacc here as well, that little ship surprisingly quick ... She too makes her way to join the group quietly. She nods to Elrych and Rey, letting them discuss whatever it is, her gaze checking on anyone else who is around. She's in her pilot armour, ready to fly truthfully. Because that's what she's expecting to be doing tonight.

Elrych raises an eyebrow as he turns to look over at Rey, "I don't know where Jax planned on taking them to. He made the arrangments. Let's focus on getting them off the station before we talk about them joining the Academy and vetting and all that."

A Moment later Zek comes running down the Alleyway. "Looks as clear as it was the last couple of times." His eyes look to Rey and he smiles to her.

Elrych starts to push people down the Alleyway, gentle of course. "Come along... let's go... it's just a few clicks to the first intersection."

"Yes, of course." Rey replies then as she glances over to Zandra when she sees her joining them as well. "I just have to make sure we all know while we're splitting them up onto different ships. I recommend the safe house that was established on Nar Shaddaa. Its been a useful location, but if its secrecy is compromised... its not that great of a loss." She adjusts the strap of her black satchel that is around her torso and her eyes go now to Zek when he appears and she nods once to him, knowing the young man who's similar to her in age couldn't see any responsive smiles since she's wearing a mask. "Its good to see you again." She tells him as well.

Zan nods as well, recognizing Zek. She has her helmet attached at her waist, so she can see folks, though she now puts it on, giving her that bug antennae look. She's not got a lot to say, maybe nervous. Though after a moment, she does add, "We get them off, we can separate, take different routes or whatever we need to go."

Zek lingers near Rey as the others start down the Alley Way, "It's really good to see you too." He blushes a bit. Of course that comes to an End when Elrych grabs him by the jacket and starts pulling him towards the Alleyway, a look of annoyance on his otherwise youthful face. "Come on, lover boy." He keeps behind Zek, who keeps looking behind him to see Rey but Elrych keeps shoving him forwards.

It really is only a few clicks before they arrive at the first intersection. Elrych holds up his hand and looks around at the dark steamy, red and blue edge lighting gunmetal industrial tunnels. "Alright... looks clear. We head left..." So far no problems though this is a good place for Ax to come in.

Rey is keeping up with them with a fair amount of ease. "The Falcon is here." She says as well to Elrych and over to Zandra with a glance. "Chewbacca is with it. Its parked in a private berth. Once we have people aboard it we can blast out of here and leave this foul place far behind." She looks ahead to Zek then and moves to catch up with him as they come up to this junction. She's thankful for her mask considering the foul smells and misting steam that is thick in the air, she's not sure what kind of chemicals it might be, but she's more than happy to avoid breathing that in. "We're almost there." She tells Zek, even though she's actually unsure of how far they are away, she figures Elrych truly knows though!

Zan looks thoughtful and she says, "Sure, so is the 'Sabacc and a couple other ships. But if you think it's best to put them all on one, that's okay too." She's the one with the least experience, and she's just not going to disagree. "Though - Are you sure Nar? Isn't there FO there too?"

Still nothing yet as the group continues along. Elrych up front clicks his tongue against his teeth as they move, navigating through the maze that he's becomes somewhat accustomed to over the week. "I think maybe we should set up a place on Tatooine or something too. I mean it's a bit less 'First Order-y' if you know what I'm saying." He looks to Rey, "A little harsh holing fifteen people /and/ the families we already moved off in one hotel room. I think it'd draw a bit more suspicion than not."

"Separate ships is likely better." Rey replies to Zandra then with a nod as her datapad beeps and she pulls it from the pocket on the side of her satchel. She lifts it up to look at the message and then exhales lightly. "Tatooine works as well." She then slides the datapad back where she'd found it and she looks once more to Elrych. "To be honest, I hadn't expected us trying to find safe places for this many people with all of this... I'm not as financially well off as some of our other members." Rey had small amounts of credits to her name, in fact, she only had enough ever to feed to service droids at whatever port their ship was at. Chewbacca gave her more credits now and then, but it was awkward asking for them.

Zan listens and she says, "how much do you think we'll need. I can probably help, if we get to where there's a bank. I mean, I'm not filthy rich but - I do run cargo sometimes." She leaves that there, continuing to keep an eye on things, and move along with the group. "It feels all prickly," she mutters, mostly to herself. This is somewhat stressful this sneaking all these folks to the ships.

"You need some credits? I can get you some. You can always ask. I know you don't really make a lot." Elrych offers to Rey, "But I suppose since it was Jax making the offer as it was a condition of them coming with us that their families be brought too to start anew. They've been hiding out here on Kafrene since the purges. That's a few generations at the least. They only ran into trouble recently." There's still no resistance along their path as they come along another intersection and make a right turn this time. This hallways is at a bit of an incline.

Rey continues to walk alongside Zek and she glances back to Zandra first. "I can't imagine that a place on Tatooine would be overly pricey... I mean, that entire world is... inhospitable." She glances at Zek then to see his reaction to their 'saviors' taking them all to an inhospitable planet? That must sound awkward!

"I'm sure that at least the three of us can pool our resources for something though. Something temporary." As they reach the next corridor and move down it, the incline has Rey's boots quietly impacting against as as she ascends with the others. "I'm not entirely used to needing credits, I'll admit that. Leia was handling things like that, but she's spending the majority of her time with the Republic remnants now." She looks back to the others around her. "I guess I need to get a job." She's grinning, but its hidden behind her mask.

"Yeah get a job you lazy freeloader." Elrych says with a smirk to Rey while nudging her with his shoulder a bit.

Zek speaks up at this moment, "Honestly... anywhere is better than here. At least wherever we go we'll be free to live in peace." Those were the terms Jax and Yuun had set. They were nearing the entrance to the Aft Bay now where the ships were waiting to take their Force sensative refugees off to their new homes. It was light at the end of the tunnel as they turn the last corner and the terrain evens out. A strait shot.

Gasps of relief exit the fifteen different people following the group of Jedi, two look a little grim and nervous. The counsel leader, and his commrad Tano who if anyone was going to be a traitor, Zek certainly though it would be him.

Rey takes the bump to her shoulder and she smirks (still hidden) beneath her mask. "Whatever is my problem, anyway?" She replies to that with a bit of good humor lacing her voice. "I'm a layabout, or some such." She looks then to Zek and nods softly to him. "These are dire times, I'm afraid, for people who are sensitive to the ways of the Force. Kylo Ren and his cronies are searching for our kind, to eradicate us. He's a short sided imbecile who doesn't realize that that's not an achievable goal, that all it will do is leave a swath of misery and despair... but then, that seems to be where he prefers to wallow." Apparently Rey doesn't hold this Kylo person in very high regard.

She looks back to the others after seeing their path ahead. "We're almost there, I can see the exit." She says back to those behind them, so that the word can pass to anyone else back there who may have not yet heard it.

Zan stays quiet, as she listens, watches, and moves along with the group. She is apparently the strong silent type today.

Elrych's smile turns into a frown as something tells him that he or someone around him is in Danger. It's not specific though as he turns and pulls hi blaster, pointing it at Tano. "Don't... even... think about it..." Tano looks scared, and confused. Unsure what to say, he croaks somewhat of a yelp between his lips. "What ever you thinking... or hiding... best show us now." The other group members remain stunned, confused by the sudden ire of the Corellian Jedi.

Its interesting for Rey because she'd felt it too. Just a hair later than Elrych had... So when he's turning and drawing his weapon, she's not too surprised by this as she turns as well. She doesn't know who this Tano guy is though, she's not met him... she simply believed he was one of the rest, desiring to get out of here.

"Sometimes I hate being right." She says, due to her conversation about not yet knowing these people and what they're all capable of or where their true loyalties might lie, which is why the Academy cannot house these people, not yet.

Rey's standing there watching though, not yet reaching for any weapons that may be hidden beneath the cloth that is draped around her shoulders and down over most of her torso.

Zan is small, but she also gets something sensed. Only she frowns, using that helmet of hers and trying to - "It's not him," she says swiftly. "I don't know who or what, but it's not him."

Tano stands there with his eyes wide, "I don't understand! WHAT ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT!?" Elrych raises a brow and Zek steps closer to Tano. "You were going to try something weren't you. I knew it. You were going to sell us al..." Both him and Elrych look to Zan, "Wait what?" And then suddenly Zek is dodging out of the way of Nimbo Jarro, the old man and Council leader. He's able to escape, likely do to his own ability to sense Danger. Qickly enough Nimbo ignights a lightsaber. It's crackling hum echo's through the tunnel, cutting through the nerves of everyone there. "I had you all fooled but now it's time to end this. Fiz is late or decided not to show up so here I am having to do this one my own." He raises his blade and points it towards the three Jedi. "I was but a youngling when the Jedi were killed off. A few survivors from Dantooine Counsel took us here. I figured, I could make a life here but no. You had to take that away from me." He stalks towards Rey, "Your bounty is most lucrative, girl."

The other force sensitives gasp, Tano screams like a girl, Zek looks on with defiance and anger in his eyes but frozen by the sheer fear of being sliced by the blue youngling blade.

Rey's eyes travel from this Tano person over to the council leader when he outs himself, and ignites a lightsaber? Rey lifts her right hand up and she pulls her mask down so that its tucked beneath her slim chin. The man knew who she was, somehow, so there's no reason to hide herself now.

"This is madness." Rey tells the man. "If you don't come with us in peace, the only thing coming for you... and everyone you care about, is Death and Death's henchmen." She tells the aged man. "I've no interest in fighting you, and the First Order has no interest in paying out on that absurd bounty. Put the saber away, think with reason. IF you truly were with the Jedi of old, then you'd know that they'd think reasonably before irrationally as you are now."

Would this work? Rey didn't know, her own saber hilt was hidden beneath her large scarf that is draped down past her waist, its but a telekinetic call away.

Zan's hand goes to her - blaster, not light saber. Cause d'uh. She doesn't' have a light saber. She actually moves to put herself, if she can, between Nimbo and the innocent folks, no more or less. "This is not the way," she says softly. "It doesn't have to be like this." She does however get it, and that hand is still resting on her holster. It's her left hand though, so can't really be up to anything, right?

Nimbo had long been corrupted by the dark-side and so when he lashes out at Rey with a shout and a scream, swinging his blade around with anger and rage soaring and coursing through every inch of his body and movements. He hits nothing but wall, the blade carving into the durosteel and pipes. Hot steams fires out causing the others to duck, including El as he swings his blaster around and lets loose his last bolt towards Nimbo. It goes incredibly wide and blasts away some of the wall. Rey is starting to step backward as the man rushes at her and she keeps her eyes firmly locked upon him. "Stop, stop!" She tries to order him, but he advances anyway! His attacks come, one followed by the next and both of them, Rey nimbly ducks beneath and away from. The second one she leans backward and lets the saber whiz past her chest and chin.

Its then that her hand comes up to her hip and she pulls her own lightsaber from beneath her clothing. Its blue blade is activated and she sweeps it upward in a blaze of motion! The saber's beam growls and sizzles as it cuts through the old man's wrists, cleaving his hands off of his arms!

Rey reaches out to catch his lightsaber as she instantly deactivates both of them. She's got HUGE eyes now, as the adrenaline has rushed through her body. She holds both of the lightsabers now, one in either of her hands. She stares at the old man then, her lips partially parted as she sucks in a breath. "A Jedi uses their lightsaber for defense, never for attack." She quietly says then, her brown eyes flicking to the others. She speaks those words as if it was a lesson for them all to learn.

Zan cringes at the lightsabers, knowing too much about them, perhaps. She is still quite literally putting herself, well as she can, between the poor innocent sensitives and the crazy dark guy. Her blaster is drawn, but she can't shoot, because Rey is right there with him. And that's worry on her face, eyes wide, and stress showing. Tension. Not that it can be seen with the bugsuit on.

Nimbo lets out a curdling scream and then collapses onto the ground, staying unconsciousness just enough to hear Rey's words of wisdom before he collapses in a handless heap on the floor. Elrych clears his throat and stands, "Okay then... let's get going before 'Fiz' decides he wants to show up now." He starts helping the people step over the collapsed body of Nimbo. He looks to Rey, "Nice job..." As he moves his way out. Zek is still a bit shaken as he moves along. The rest of the way to the ship and the boarding are uneventful. One thing is for sure, everyone is real quiet.
