Classroom Ax-Room III

OOC Date: August 13, 2018
Location: Arisnar
Participants: Jedi Order: Ax, Elrych Cometburn, and Yuun

~ The classroom was quiet and dark, Ax sitting in a corner of the room with the lights turned off, the switch on the wall disabled so that those entering wouldn't be able to turn them on. Quietly, the Echani just sat there, legs crossed, waiting on his students to enter. All the furniture had been pushed to one side of the room, stacked against the wall, leaving the area open. Were it not for the door being open, allowing light from the hallway to enter, it's not likely one would be able to see their own hand were it directly in front of their face. ~

Elrych Cometburn enters then, kind of just strolling in. He stops though as the room becomes dark. "Wait what?" He's wearing his sunglasses so the darkness is probably twice as bad for him. "Ax... are you in here." He apparently can't see the man sitting in the darkened room even when he takes off his glasses and reveals those baby blues of his. He starts to feel around, being cautious with his walking before... bam! He collides with the furnature stacked in the back corner and goes tumbling down. "Ouch..."

Yuun walks into the classroom as well and walks right into Elrych, "Ouch, sorry." he says as he well....he can't see. "The lights not working?" he asks. But than again it's the appropriate time for the lesson to start. "Hello?" he asks as he too well he can't look around there is no light.

~ "I'm here," Ax says. "You two knuckleheads will find two boxes of foam balls near the door. Grab a box and go to opposite corners. Preferably not the one you tripped at Elrych." Ax awaits the two to do as told, then with a focus of will and a gentle nudge through the force, he shuts the door, submerging the room into total darkness.

"We rely on our physical senses, it is normal, it is what we've been doing since childbirth. Our sense of touch, taste, sight, and hearing." He pauses to let that sink in. "The force, however, gives us completely different senses that we can utilize. Sit there, calm your breathing, open your mind to the force. Feel it flowing about you, through you. Feel the force as it reacts with each other and with me. Open yourself up, no barriers. Just let the force flow through you, feel it coursing through the room." ~

"It's okay..." Elrych says to Yuun befoer taking a deep breath and moving back towards the light that spills in from the open doorway. He can at least navigate that. He takes the ball as instructed and finds a coner, the other corner opposite rom where he was and moves there. He hits the wall before stopping but he was cautious enough that his failed depth prception wasn't too hindering. HE clears his head and finds a good breathing rythm.

Getting himself together a bit, he does as he is told. "Alright." he says to Ax as he walks back to the entrance and grabs a box. He than slowly makes his way to the other side opposite of Elrych as best he can, though Yun nearly trips as he slides his foot and catches his foot behind the others. He nearly trips but he catches himself more by luck than anything, he sits down and does as he is told. Clearing his mind and allowing the force to flow through him.

~ The room was completely devoid of light, making it impossible to see without some form of enhanced vision. "Just breath, your eyes are useless here, so just close them and don't bother trying to rely on vision." As he speaks, Ax stands up, a foam ball in each hand. "Tell me, do you sense me? Do you sense each other? Do you feel how the force flows through the room, resonating on each of us as we innately manipulate that energy?" ~

Elrych Cometburn closes his eyes doing at told. It takes some visualization but the can connect to the force and feel it flowing like evves and eddies in a stream, like water flowing through out the universe. "Yes." He responds simply.

Yuun is quiet not allowing himself to be too distracted, he lets out a breath as he allows the force to flow through him, feeling it around him. He smiles a little, but doesn't allow his focus to falter, "Yes." he replies.

~ Ax was there, his presence radiating stronger than the other two as he had more training in manipulating it. Then, he's simply gone. Or at least his presence is gone. It took a focus of will from the Echani, he wasn't a master at it by any means but he could vanish from someone just opened up to the force and not actively searching for a hidden jedi. It's then that Ax tosses a pair of foam balls, each hitting their targets, Yuun and Elrych. "Just to let you know I'm still here," he says, a grin hidden by the darkness. "You have balls of your own, use them. Throw one at me and one at each other," he says. "I don't expect you to hit, just get in the same vicinity." ~

Elrych Cometburn throws a ball at Yuun first becase he can still sense him. Picking up another he does his best to remember where Ax was when he had detected him and chucks it in that direction. It's likely off a bit but it's in the same direction where the man atleast /had/ been only a few short moments before. If he had moved, Elrych had no idea.

The ball hits him and he winces, great he is hit with a ball, than he feels another coming near him bouncing off the wall near him. He picks up a ball and throws one at Elrych and than another at.....he stops in mid throw. He tries to reach out and not able to sense him so he throws the ball where he thinks Ax may be which is way off.

~ "Good," Ax says, somehow knowing where both of them were and knowing where their foam balls went. "Grab a few of the foam balls and stuff them into pockets or in your hands," he says. The foam balls were soft enough that one could easily palm half a dozen of them crushed in one hand. "I now want you to stand up. With one hand on the wall, I want you to take a couple of steps, as quiet as you can, in either direction you choose. Then, I want you to quietly sit back down."

Likely, the Echani had done the same as the other two, stepping softly to one side or another or who knows. "Hopefully, you didn't lose your focus and you can still sense how the force is flowing around you and each other. Now, I want you to try and direct the ambient force of the room around you, suppressing your own signature in the force. As we talked about last time, try to visualize and redirect." ~

Elrych Cometburn chuckles a bit as the foam ball hits him. Though once the initial fun is over he does as instruted and takes a few steps forwards. He takes a seat on the floor and looks back to the Force around him, then to himself and how he is radiating it. Only a moment goes by before his disappears from Yuun's senses.

It's odd doing the training this way, but honestly he does as he is told. He does as he is told and begins taking a few balls, he squeezes them, than places a few into his pockets. He sighs as he lets his force awareness flow around him. He couldn't sense El, was that how it feels not to sense him. He throws one of his balls at El trying to hit him.

~ Ax throws a pair of balls, each hitting Yuun and Elrych in the head. "Both of you are doing well," Ax says. "Keep the focus going. You've both managed to conceal your force resonance effectively," Ax adds. Of course, if they were doing so well, how was Ax able to hit them so accurately?

"I didn't say throw a ball, Yuun," he adds, throwing another ball to hit the man in the head. The foam balls were soft and didn't do more than thump against skin with little more than a tickle. "Both of you stand up, move quietly, try to reach out with the force to sense each other while keeping yourselves hidden. Try to hit each other or me with the balls." ~

Elrych Cometburn movs towards the center of the room and tries to reach out and find a deeper sense of the envirnment around them, something with force training. However, his concentration lies in trying to stay hidden in the force. It's hard to balance it out for the Corellian but he's trying. He dosn't throw a ball because he can't sense anyone.

Yuun isn't able to find either of the two, but he wasn't expecting to sense anyone. He really haven't learned how to use the force like this since last week. Walking out using his feet to guide him and moves little more steady, utilizing the force as he moves he tries to sense where the others are though still keeping himself hidden.

~ Ax smiles. "You're both doing well," he says, throwing a ball and again hitting each of them. "This is good practice for you," he adds. "Alright. This is about masking your force presence, not about sensing someone actively hiding," he says. "Both of you are doing well." As he speaks, he moves towards the door and with an adjustment to the light switch, he brings light back to the room. A pair of night-vision goggles rested atop his head, likely pushed back before he turned on the lights. "Both of you did really well," he adds, throwing another ball at each. "You've got the basic concept of it. Next class will take place in town, so keep practicing." ~

Elrych Cometburn winces as the lights come back on and he looks around, putting his sunglasses back down to cover his blue eyes. "Bannana's Ax..." He says in aknowledgement to their teacher. He moves to go start picking up some of the foam balls so that they can be put away. Then to put the chairs back together and back in place for anyone else that wants to use it.

Wincing as the lights come back up. Yuun looks around for a long moment, allowing his eyes to re-adjust. "Damn that hurts."he says covering his eyes. Once he has the feeling back, he looks over at Elrych, than to Ax. "Thanks Ax." he says to the Echani. "You have a real good way of teaching, we really appreciate you doing this for us." he says looking to the other man.

~ Ax smiles, removing the night-vision goggles completely. "It was fun," he says with a grin. "Seriously though, this is one of those skills that you should definitely work on. It's one that I recommend every student focuses on at first, at least until they can throw up the cloak with relative ease. Who knows when it could save your life," he says, moving to assist with putting the furniture back into place. "It's saved my ass at least once, meeting Kylo Ren on Nar Shaddaa." ~

Elrych Cometburn nods as he puts some things back in place. "Yeah I can see where it would be a big help. So we get as good as possible with it, as soon as possible so we can more effectivly operate under the First Order's radar."

Walking over and getting something else and putting it back, "Well I understand why we need this. Right now some of us isn't skilled enough to take on Kylo or his group." he says. "Hell I did pretty bad when we were helping rescue the two kids who we brought back."

~ Ax nods to Elrych, pointing a finger and acting like he was pulling a trigger. "Exactly. When we're on missions, keep your hoods up. I'd almost recommend wearing masks, but they tend to restrict vision or muffle communication, both of which are too important. When you're visiting places that have First Order presence, then you keep your force signature suppressed when walking around public."

Ax looks to Yuun. "Well, I don't think any of us are skilled enough to take on Kylo or those with him. Not you, definitely not me. So, we keep our heads down, we continue to train, and we continue to practice." ~

Elrych Cometburn nods, "Got a really long way to go before any of that can happen. Honestly, I'm not sure we'll ever be as strong as them." He shrugs, "But that's not what this is about. The force will balance its self, it always seems to."

Taking in a deep breath, Yuun doesn't say anything, he listens. Helping with putting something else back in place, "That is good information, though we should be teaming up if we are going into First Order areas." He adjust the shelves of text, "Yeah, I have a feeling it will too. From everything I've read, we will do what we can.

~ "I operate business out of Nar Shaddaa, and I have family and friends there and on Naboo, both having First Order presences," Ax says. "We can't always go places in teams, and honestly going everywhere in teams is likely going to be more dangerous than just a single random face in a crowd," Ax says. "Just be careful and mindful of your surroundings." ~

Elrych Cometburn nods to Ax and starts towards the exit, "I got to FO occupied worlds all the time on my own. Smuggling, running cargo. What ever. Got to make credits somehow." He shrugs, "I'm heading back to Nar if anyone needs a lift."

Nodding his head, "I suppose." he says to them both. "No thanks Elrych, I have my own ship here. I need to head there anyways to check up on a few people." he says to him. "I will keep up on my training, not going ot take anything for granted." he states.

~ Ax nods. "We'll meet again in a week," he says to the departing Elrych. "Next time, we'll be in town here on Arisnar, mixing in with the locals. I want to see how well you do amongst distractions and moving about people while having to pay attention to your surroundings." Ax then looks to Yuun. "Keep up with your training. Whatever you can learn, I recommend learning, but think defensively. I need to fly to Naboo and check on my wife, she's there visiting her parents." ~

Elrych Cometburn nods to Ax and Yuun then takes his leave, "May the force be with you."
