Rogue Squadron: Dantooine Whiskey in a Jar

OOC Date: October 14, 2020
Location: Perlemian Trade Route
Participants: Tallie Lintra, Ax, Callax Dalso, Karas Darkwing, Zandra naMuriel, Jax Greystorm

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Rogue Squadron had pulled patrol duty along the New Republic Section of the Perlemian Trade Route. It had been a boring day of dropping into different systems scanning for pirates before moving onto the next system. The current waypoint that the squadron was jumping into was an uninhabited system along the trade route along one of the edges. If any activity was here it was usually of the less than legal variety.

As the starfighters jump into the system. A pair of twin smallish blue stars rested in the middle of the star system, washing the system in blue light. A half dozen gas giants of various sizes and colors all with rings orbited the twin stars irregularly. Each of the planets with a moon or two orbiting it. The occasional comet goes shooting across the star system. There was a lot of debris in the system causing scans to be a bit of a nightmare on the sensor scans.

Moments after Rogue Squadron started the scans, a cluster of IFF signals appear near the rings of the outermost planet. Followed by a general distress call, "This is the Captain of the Bountiful Harvest. I'm requesting any and all assistance. We're under attack by pirates!" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Tallie Lintra]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The group flashes into the third system of the day. And, like the old saw says, three is a lucky number.

Over general encrypted coms, Tallie Lintra, going by the book, calls for a standard overall system scan by all the ships expecting nothing but like the pilots on this rotation remaining professional. The latest T-85 have sensor systems that almost rival A-Wings. Not thirty seconds into the sweep, Fiver begins to whistle like a kettle on the boil. A scale model of the system appears on the holoprojector with highlighted areas. Another sweep allows Fiver to interpret engine radiation signatures, which Tallie immediately relays to the other ships.

<<"We have some interesting results. The distress signal from the," she leans forward in the cockpit confirming the name, "is the Bountiful Harvest. That's a New Republic senatorial signal. We have an unknown number of TIE/Ins in that general area as well as a lurker. Anyone getting a reading on something in the vicinity of the third gas giant?">> She magnifies the area, <<"Looks like we have a live hit, gentlemen. Let's get in there, armaments uncapped.">> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Ax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~ Ax hadn't been flying the T-85 much, prefering the more agile RZ-2, but he needed to get familiarized with the ship. Besides, on patrols, it was good to have his droid along to break up the monotony and boredom. He was in a long debate about how flying in formation might be useful, but it was downright boring, and his droid was countering with it being safer flying at lower speeds as well as being less stress on the ship's systems. Then, they arrive in a new system, and Ax is about to comment about how they only have a couple more to check before their patrol was over and he could get in a 'real ship' again to blow off some steam, but then there's the mayday.

The Echani pilot straightens up in his seat, his hands instinctively going to the controls to engage his S-foils into combat position, but he hesitates, waiting on commands from above. There's an honest to gods cackle that comes from his cockpit as he spots TIE Interceptors on his sensors. "This could be fun," he tells his droid, itching to engage should he get the order. Maybe even if he didn't get the order if it would break the boredom of patrols a bit.

Then there's that beautiful order to arm weapons systems and Ax punches the control to open the S-foils. <<"Rogue Three, acknowledged. Uncapped and ready to rock. I don't catch anything on sensors, but if you want I can head that way and sweep. All I'm seeing now are some interceptors and the Lambda.>> Of course, he'd much rather be flying into the thick of things. ~ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Callax Dalso]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= In the midst of the formation, Callax does not look down at the display monitor - but then again, they do not have to, thanks to vastly expanded peripheral vision. << I see it, Leader, >> they report over the circuit, voice made cold and choppy thanks to encryption. << Guns hot and punching forward. Make 'em think twice about robbing civilians, assuming there're any left after. >> Regardless of the tonelessness made manifest over the frequency thanks to code, the message is clear: Callax doesn't intend to leave survivors.

Thus does Rogue Ten lance forward, drives burning at maximum, its wings scissoring open to become a cross of death.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Karas Darkwing]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rogue 2 flashes into the system and Spark his astromech droid begins distrubting power. Moving into formation Karas leans back into his seat and yes the T-85's sensor suite doest almost riivals the the A-Wings. Picking up the signals, he smiles a little bit, <<Alright, ready to move in.>> he calls into this comms as he adjust within his seat. He stretches out as best he can and doesn't open the S-Foils of his X-Wing. Liking ot carry in more speed to surprise his enemies. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jax was flying in formation in Rogue 9. Exine was just beginning to perform the sensor sweeps as the other pilots started to report in on there sensor findings. "Guess it won't be a nice day of me meditating and catching up on my missed sleep." The Corellian was a new father. He reaches over to deploy his S-foils. He forms up on Callax's wing, <Hey Fancy. You want to show 'em how it's done?> Then he clicks his tongue, <Senatorial you say, Rogue one. I think that's the Dantooine Representative's ship. I'm uncapped and ready.> Jax frowns, "Exine, I want shields double front for this pass."

As Rogue Squadron extends there S-foils and break off into attack formation and race toward the pirates and the crippled ship. The pirates break off from harassing the Lambda shuttle and form up into a classic Imperial jousting formation. The Tie interceptors formed into a wedge to support each other as they go to meet X-wings of Rogue Squadron. A cold cripst voice crackles across the coms. "This is none of your business, New Republic Squadron. The lambda shuttle's owner has wronged me and my men. Break off off now and we will not engage you." It was a lie of course. Though they close the gaps with the X-wing Rogue Squadron was going to be able to strike first. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Tallie Lintra]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Luck would have it that the group had dropped into the system so close to the TIEs. S-Foils opened, Rogue Leader's afterburners glow bright gold as they burn hard towards their objectives. Twelve TIEs break into attack and defensive formations to greet them.

Rogue is outnumbered but seldom daunted. <<"These are not your standard mishmash Uglies,"">> she comments on coms. The light from the targeting reticle paints the cockpit orange as they lock on to Skull One. <<"Rogue Leader on Skull One.">> Gloved thumb hovering in place, she twists the yoke putting the T-85 in a steep descent on their target. Bright red lasers leave the first calling card of the day. Behind them, the TIE's hull show damage but the fighter is still in the fray. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Ax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~ Ax follows in behind Rogue Leader and sets his sights on another of the interceptors. He lines up just right and lets loose with a barrage of laser fire from the four wing-mounted weapons. It was the perfect shot, no way he could miss, only he did. "What the hell, Buster? I HAD HIM!" he says, fortunately not over comms. ~ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Callax Dalso]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Though they be be unshielded, the pilots behind those fighters are of unusual skill; Callax, never a slouch behind the guns, releases a particularly accurate salvo of laser fire only to have the bent-wing harrier execute a particlarly fluid movement to escape. << Acknowledged, >> Callax says in calm reply to Tallie's observation, suddenly wishing that they were behind the controls of the /Joy/ instead of the bulky strike fighter. "Now, then, my darling," Callax murmurs, angling Ten's nose toward the fighter for another pass. "Let's see...about teaching you all about why you shouldn't show up the protagonists."

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Karas Darkwing]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Watching as the TIE Interceptors move into formation. Karas flicks the switch to lock his S-Foils into attack position. <> he says as he moves slightly off the side, then he climbs and boosts power to his engines to give him that added speed. The TIE/IN were pretty formidable fighters, still from what he was able to see, they are some damn good pilots as well. Rogue 2 rolls and dives, red energy lances streak down from the quad cannons, thinking he had a shot Karas misses but he pulls back on the stick and starts chasing Skull 3. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Zandra naMuriel]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Zan in Rogue 5 has been here all along, yes, she has. When they spy the interceptors, and orders are given, she hits that throttle, and her A wing zooms forward wtih all the oomph she can muster. She gets a target lock on the interceptor identified as 5, deciding that's a good number as any, and fires. << Rogue 5, on atteck vector for skullfive. >> she uses the encrypted comms and then not too long after that. << Scratch Skullfive. >> as her lasers hit, tearing up one of the bad guys. At least. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jax lines up on Skull 4 as Exine makes a pinging sound as Jax pulls the trigger sending a series of four blast at the Tie Interceptor. The tie pilot cork screwing around Jax shots showing the agility of the pilots craft. There's a comment from Exine, "What do you mean Dad's astromech uses the phrase, 'then Kort realized it was a Squint' as the punch line of a joke?" Jax sighs, "I'm beginning to see why Dad hated these guys.

Skull 1 was a smoking mess but it was still holding together somehow. The pilot surviving his joust with Rogue leader and whipping around serpent like and bringing his best game as space ended up with a flare of fire from him. The pilots of Skull Squadron soon proved why Interceptors had been such a pain to the Rogue Squadrons of old. They were fast, agile and deadly. Only one was lost during the initial joust and they don't have shields.

The Bountiful Harvest hung in space, dead in the water. Communications had seemed to die since that initial broadcast. It wasn't moving. Though it did still have power and life support. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Tallie Lintra]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

"I wonder how they do it. You'd never get me into an unshielded ship," Tallie muses aloud to Fiver. "It's certainly incentive to be a damned good pilot." Lasers glare a sickly green across Rogue Leader's shields.

"Hah, just trying to keep you busy. See? Shields...are...a...good thing."

The words are spaced between a near dead stop pushing ship systems to their max, then a flip over to duck the lasers zinging towards them. They have Skull One bracketed perfectly in their sights. Four lasers burn across the Interceptor's hull after the initial explosion only debris marks its last trajectory.

<<"Splash Skull One. Let's talk them out of this action, folks.">> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Ax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~ <<"I don't know how familiar everyone here is with old Imperial TIEs, but that model doesn't have a hyperdrive and needs a specialized dock to land. That means they've either got a base or a ship around here somewhere.">> Ax says over the comms. Meanwhile he's twisting his flight control and pushing the throttle forward. "Buster remind me to get Miri a gift, this ship is responding much better than it should be," Ax says. "Oh, and dial the inertial dampeners down to fifty percent."

The droid beeps and screeches as Ax twists around not one but two sets of laser blasts from enemy fighters. The Echani had started moving even before the blasts came his way and by the time the shots passed him, he was already lining up for another shot. "Buster, start scanning for a carrier ship of some kind."

Rogue 3 unleashes another barrage from his lasers, only for it the opposing pilot to still dodge. <<"Damn, that guy is good.">> ~ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= [Callax Dalso]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The first joust was apparently practice, for Callax has homed in on their prey, executing a precision roll through the laser fire from two of the highly skilled pilots, zeroing in on Three. << This road is closed, >> Callax calls over general comms, just as their target is caught full center and ertupts in a cloud of flame and hull fragments. << Find another! >> But it is a cruel trick, for to Callax Dalso, all roads lead only one place...

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= [Zandra naMuriel]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Zan fliprolls and that little A wing is agile as a bird of prey, rolling away from one set of shots, and then ducking down beneath the plane of the fight to dodge another set, before she picks her next target, and starts shooting at skullfour. <<A base or a carrier? I'd get my droid to check that too, only I don't have one in my pocket today. >> Her shots fired, she hits the throttle to zoom forward again, executing a corkscrew and coming around for another pass. She hopes. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Karas Darkwing]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

<<I will agree, this isn't the picnic I was hoping for.>> Karas says into his comms as he finds himself on the recieving end of laser fire. So what if they are some ace pilots, so was Rogue Squadron and Rogue 2 shows them as he weaves and dives between the green energy lances as he easily is able to evade the laser fire. A smirk on his lips, <<I know Spark, they arne't that good.>> he facepalms as he forgot that he spoke on an open comm. He laughs a little and watches as Skull 3 is destroyed.

Bringing his fighter around to Skull 2, again he fires and misses, and he shakes his head, "Ok, maybe they are a little good." he says to his astromech droid. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jax is having no more love with Skull 4 than Zandra does, <We should really look at hiring this guys as instructors.> The Corellian says as he comes around as Skull 12 goes to strafe him from above and to the side. The X-wing rolling away and diving as he trust the force. <Didn't Rogue Leader say something about another Iff she was detecting, Rogue 3?>

The sound of Skull 1 dying on the channel can be heard along with the explosion. His voice replaced with the cold precise voice of a woman, <Skulls, stick to your jobs. Don't let these New Republic children color you senses. We've faced better before.> She says targeting Karas' x-wing.

Moments later the Harvests com springs to life, <Thank the harvest, we wouldn't have survived if you haven't shown up. Look we're hoping to get hyper drives up but without thrusters we're not going anywhere.> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Tallie Lintra]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

<<"Ax, roger that about there being a base ship. We have a vague fix on it. Continue sweeping for it, pilots.>> A cold voice cuts across her transmission. Tallie considers for a moment before flipping to a frequency that their adversaries can hear.

The commander's voice crackles over coms, <<"Such bravado for someone losing so many of their suicide ships. Cut your losses while you can.">>

<<"Bountiful Harvest, we have your six. Hyper out of the system as soon as you have the capability.">>

Behind her Fiver frantically tries to bring the rear shields back online. "I know, I know. Do what you can." They engage Skull 6, leaving them damaged but still in the fight. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Ax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~ Twist. Bank. Dive. Roll. Yep, Rogue 3 does them all. With the inertial dampeners toned down and the slight modifications done by there new resident grease-monkey, the X-wing is extremely responsive, and likely the pilot is paying for that with additional g-forces that the normal human body shouldn't be able to handle without blacking out. Fortunately, Ax has done the vast majority of his fighter pilot training in civil war era fighters that lacked the comforts of life support or inertial dampeners, and he's built up tolerances (and maybe a little assistance from the force).

Ax shifts that fighter to avoid multiple incoming shots on him and somehow manages to line himself up for the 4 fire-linked lasers to get a hit on the Interceptor. "YES!" he calls out. <<"Skull 2 is down with an engine flair-out. Might still have lasers and maneuvering thrusters, but more likely he's calling in for recovery or backup and trying to reboot his computer to get engines back online. Not likely to work though, at least in my experience. Moving to acquire a new target.>>

"Buster, you find anything on sensors yet?" he asks the droid. The droid responds by highlighting an area on Ax's sensors. <<"Confirmation, Marauder corvette. Two planets over, hiding in the the third ring but beginning to move. Orders, Rogue Leader? We take that out, these TIEs will lose the will to fight.... Maybe.">> ~ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Callax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Screaming through a series of tight loops and corkscrew turns, Callax pushes Rogue Ten to the limit as they fly through the web of laser fire spat between the New Republic fighters and their nameless foes; their method of attack isn't jousting now, but knife-fighting. << Ten here, engaging enemy at close range. >> Convergence range brought far shorter than normal, Callax takes a spitting scratch on the aft deflectors as one of the enemy take advantage of their rapid traverse - but Callax kills the etheric rudders to spin the ship around, using Newton as their ally, and re-engages just in time to tear most of one wing clear from its spar. << I told you, >> Callax then calls over general comms as Babo floods power into the deflector system, << This road is closed! >> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Karas Darkwing]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Karas is young and it's odd to know that he is but to see him fly you would think he's an old vetran. A Vet at 25 is crazy to think, but Karas doesn't think that at all. Rogue 2 a T-85 X-Wing roars through the combat zone, rolling and as the -85 rolls the four engines flare up brightly and suddenly the starfighter's s-foils close and he drifts as he used Skull 2 as an obstacle and as he completes the drift and facing Skull 2, the s-foils open and Rogue 2 burst forward, scarlet energy lances streak from the cannon tips striking Skull 2 destroying the enemy TIE. <<Splash 1.>> he says into his comms. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Zandra naMuriel]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Zan winces as her shields take a hit. She mumbles under her breath, which the usual folks are used to hearing, but the new folks may not be. And then she determinedly spins around, heading back at 4 again. <<Shields are hit, still holding, >> she reports steadily. << I'm still in this! >> At elast she's going to continue trying, as she can. There's a flash of stubborn on her face, and a hint of adrenaline, as she is distracted from her zen state. That's not a good thing, alas. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Jax opens fire on Squint # 7 and misses. Though the jedi dodges the return volley. The Corellian exhaling, "It's a good day when the force is your ally."

The Tie interceptors seem to lose the fight as it was almost a one to one and Skull 1-3 had been destroyed. A pair of the ties had tries to make Karas pay for his handy work. There's disorganization among the Squints and suddenly the all break off and go running towards a point further out of system.

Ax had called it as a Marauder Corvette with the Iff of the 'Hangman' micro jumps in not far ahead of Skull squadron. It's turbolasers opening fire at Rogue Squadron though the scale of the weapons too big to accurately target the Fighter sof Rogue Squadron, there were burning through some Tiabanna gas for sure.

The Bountiful Harvests, <There' turning and running! THank you for saving us!> -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= [Tallie Lintra]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

A burst of lasers passes the cockpit to streak into infinity. Tallie's attention is split between tracking the Bountiful Harvest, searching for the TIE base ship, watching the other pilots, and ducking laser fire. "Repair and target, Fiver. Time to drive this crew off."

<<Bountiful Harvest, do you have an ID on your attackers? Roger that. Just doing our job! We will follow up on your status when you're safe.">>

At the end of her transmission, the answer to her question hyperjumps into view. "Well, well," she reflexively flips missiles on live as the TIEs run for cover, firing two missiles that ablate a small part of the Corvette's shields. A futile gesture, perhaps, but immensely satisfying. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Ax]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ~ With Skull 2 not just disabled, but now destroyed, Ax is on to other targets. Then, he happens to spot incoming fire and twists out of the way before it impacts his shields. With the arrival of the Marauder though, Ax can't help but send a pair of torpedos at the ship, of course slaloming between turbolaser bolts doesn't give him time to get a target lock.

<<"I think this went well. Maybe next time we can take on some of those new TIEs the First Order has. Maybe even capture one of those silencers, you know for studying....">> Ax's droid beeps something about the Echani having an unhealthy obsession with advanced TIE variants which can be heard before Ax realizes the comms are still active and shuts them off. ~ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Callax Dalso]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The /Hangman/. Adorable. Callax's eyes narrow faintly as the pirate fighters break and make their way back toward the Marauder; drives at max, Rogue Ten's fusion torches blaze as brightly as tiny suns as the vengeful pilot gives chase, dialing over from guns to torpedoes as Tallie gives clear example as only leadership can. << Oh, boys, >> Callax calls over comms, their voice a furious mockery of allure, << Don't go now! My dance card isn't full just yet! >> Following Tallie, though, Callax squeezes the launcher buttons atop the yoke's grips, sending a pair of bright blue flares in the Marauder's direction - missing, thanks to the ship bringing its drives to full once Tallie's warheads strike its shields, but...yes. Satisfying. Very.

<< I'm going to look into these fellows, Leader, >> Callax says then over encrypted comms. << Mark me now, we'll meet again. >>

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Karas Darkwing]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Rogue 2 grinned a little as two of the Skulls came after him, weaving through one set of emerald laser fire and as Rogue 2 dives, he's nicked and his shields blossoms a little. <<Hey I want a hit on that Corvette too.>> he says into his comms. He doesn't lock onto the larger ship and as he sees proton torpedos streaking towards the Interceptors ship, he fires two of the torps and watches as he misses, "Krif." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Zandra naMuriel]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Zandra is half eyeing her shields, trying to decide if she should try fixing them or let Miri and company deal with it. Though when they get extra special company in system, she too reflexively hits missiles and fires. Without a lock it's not exactly an easy shot, and this time Zan's missiles aren't even close, the corvette easily moving out of the way. <<I have a feeling you're right about that,>> she says in response to Callax. <<Another set of wanna be bad guys, it seems. Why are there so many of them? We could all use a vacation, after all. >> Which would be way boring but shhh. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

[Jax Greystorm]-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Then there's a Marauder Corvette in system firing all over the place and the rest of Rogue is launching torps and missiles like it's 'Winter Fete Giving day." Jax does the same though watching his torpedos crash into Zandra's missiles and making a bigger boom but safely away from the hangman. Exine informs Jax of this and he comments, "Let's not tell her it my fault she missed." He shakes his head, <Rogue 3 you are a sick, sick individual and need professional help.>

The Squints of Skull Squadron make it aboard the Hangman and then the Marauder is turning and running out of system and to hyperspace.

The Bountiful Harvest's captain reports, "We think we got the backup hyper drive we can limp to safety. Thank you Rogue Squadron." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
