First meeting of the Shadow Syndicate

OOC Date: Jan 30 2016
Location: Art Gallery
Participants: Sirus Yume, Suoh Yume, Alana Zee Thilda Akura Raim Shah Shadow Syndicate

The day has worn on, giving way to the darkness of night. Well... as much darkness as can be claimed in the Ritzy end of the Corellian District. The streets outside of the Art Gallery are lit quite well, making any sneaking in or around the building quite difficult. Raim Shah makes his way toward the Gallery, his BB unit in tow. He is dressed quite well in an expensive looking coat that hangs low enough that it swishes about his ankles. Beneath this is a pressed white button down shirt which is tucked into neat pair of pants. Stepping inside the Gallery, Raim quickly makes his way toward the door, leading to the hideout of the Shadow Syndicate. His blue fingers move gracefully across the keypad, inputting the code, "4-2-7-1-9" A small red light flashes green with a faint beep and the door unlocks. Raim and BB-2232 move through the doorway and then down the stairs, BB-2232 thumping on each stair. Raim goes about turning on the dim lighting, and then crosses to the case of wine and line of crystal stemmed glasses he had arranged for earlier in the day.

Alana Zee arrives alone, looking and feeling very self-conscious in her new clothes. Well, they're not haute couture, but they're certainly a step above her usual grungy outfit, that certainly being better suited for the under-alleyways of Nar Shaddaa than an art gallery. "Raim," she greets perkily from the doorway.

Sirus makes his way to the distract in that bran new tight red suit with the black tie and he had been supporting another one like it for a few days but this one is a more of a classic suit. His gold chain on the outside leads to a small pocket-watch and his hat is tiled to the side of his face black as night. He moves slowly into the art gallery his black wingtip shoes now making a soft sound and his eyes drift around for the moment. He then waits for a moment to move towards the keypad himself typing into it his own personal code "4-1-2-3-7 and as he does this as well watching the girl saying the name with raim's name on her lips."Hello there." He makes eye contact with Raim for a moment before he heads down as well after both of them. His own drink of choice is in the silver flask inside of that brand new jacket.

Suoh similarly dressed as his brother, he follows slightly behind. He is wearing a light blue suit with a black bow tie. He lingers a bit in the gallery to finish a com call and comes down into the basement, after punching in his own code. He notes Raim and Sy. However he utters a soft "Oh." On Alana's appearance. "Well hello there." He smiles just a bit and goes to the fully stocked bar to find himself particular to drink for himself. Since this was the basement and not the gallery floor, he readies a cigarette as well.

Leather clad, Thilda runs in to the basement with a wide grin. (Have a picture: https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/175358979211736526/ sans hood, <3 Suoh) Coming to a stop next to Alana, she quickly grabs the other woman's buttocks before getting into line, "Sorry I'm late, had some...uh...business to sort out." She looks at the cigarettes and grins, leaning softly on Alana while waiting for the meeting to commence.

Raim turns and nods his head to the members of the Syndicate as they begin to file in. "Welcome," he intones lowly in that slow measured voice. "Welcome to the first official meeting of the Shadow Syndicate. You have all been recruited, drawn here to this organization by deeds you have done that have proven yourselves worthy. Deeds you have done that have earned you a place within this group." He gestures toward the wall, and BB-2232 immediately projects a live feed of Raim and Alana Zee on a rooftop. Alana stands behind a woman with a vibrodagger placed to her throat. Seconds pass and the blade passes through the woman's throat and she immediately falls to Alana's feet to bleed out on the floor. The image blinks away and Raim gestures toward Alana, "I vouch for the membership of Alana Zee, a talented fence." His eyes pass to Thilda and he says, "I don't know you, yet."

"Hey!" Alana yelps as she's goosed, her eyes widening as she turns and sees who it is. "Thilda! What the hell are /you/ doing here?" she squeaks in surprise, trying to muffle her voice. "You didn't tell me you were part of this!" She pulls down her skirt indignantly and elbows Thilda in the chest. "You /knew/," she accuses huffily in an undertone. ANd then Raim is talking, and Alana steps a pace away from Thilda as though to distance herself. Her eyes widen as she sees the video feed, and she grins crookedly. "Thank you," she tells Raim politely, finally regaining her poise.

Sirus watches the video his silver eyes drifting along it slowly taking it all in for the moment."Welcome to the Syndacate Alana. I'm Sirus." His own fingers slowly trace a bag set down on the table and opening it slowly with a smile."Not yet shiped this one off to the client. See I had a job that need doing." He leans against the table as he opens the bag taking out a little Bantha figure inside of the bag and setting it down on the table. The light bounces off the gem made animal for a moment and then he looks right at Alana with a cold look and then over to Thilda."That makes that easier. Thilda here got it for me and did a bang up job." He stifles the snark on his face but it is in his words carefully picked like normal. His fingers take out a cig slowly from his silver case and it seems to have appeared in his hands by magic and gone much the same. He lights it now with a quick flash of a match on the wall."I wish to bring her into the Syndicate as well. Seem we have a been a busy bunch of kiddos."

Siya descends the stairs, wearing a casual, green dress. The fabric is long and drags slightly on the ground behind her as she moves. Her ice blue eyes look to the video as it is played, though as the killing blow is delivered to the woman, Siya has to look away. She never was good with violence. Though as Alana is welcomed, she offers the small woman a smile. Then she looks to the gem brought to be displayed and her eyes open widely. "Oh. How beautiful!" She beams a proud smile to Thilda.

Suoh eyebrows go up when he sees Thilda palm Alana's backside. He continues to mix his drink, and takes a sip to taste. He approves and lights his cigerette and takes a slow inhale to watch the feed. Oh a Snuff film! Suoh's interest is immidiately peaked at the sight of blood. He spies over to Alana, a talented fence indeed. "I should hope so, bringing her into the Syndicates lair." He sips his drink as he studies Alana with cold steel eyes. He exhales a hot puff through his nose a dark purple plume.

Raim continues to nod and as Siya descends the stairs, the Chiss gestures her over toward one of the chairs. "Siya here was once a member of the Hutt Cartel alongside us. She managed the property of Xanadu for the Hutts, and is quite skilled in social situations. From what I have gathered, she will be doing a bit of undercover work for us with one of our clients. Giving us a bit of inside information, which could very well help us on down the road. Some leverage perhaps. I vouch for her myself, and I believe that Sirus will as well."

Looking at Alana with a bit of a pout as she moves away, though she beams brightly as Siya looks over to her. "Oh, thank you!" With that, she moves over to Siya and takes a deep breath, sighing dreamily as she takes in the pheromones. "And you are incredibly too, dear."

"Wait a minute." Alana frowns. "Do the Hutts just let people walk away from their employ?" She eyes Thilda and Siya with pursed lips. "If we're going to have Hutts all over us, I want to go into it with my eyes open, not get grabbed by a pair of Gamorreans when I'm crossing the street." She had acknowledged Sirus and Suoh with a polite and somewhat embarrassed nod apiece, and now she addresses the room in general but Raim in particular. "Or is that all taken care of?"

"Aye I vote a big aye on Siya. She will be a grand help." Sirus then exhales slowly into the air and looking them all for a moment. The cloud is green thick for a moment and then he waves it away with the back of his hand. "So then we need to discuss a few things and starting with the rules of our little society. I'm told some of you know them." He then walks in front slowly to stand next to Raim with a huge smile."But we still it is good to cover them again in front of all of us. The first one is a major one we don't exist. We are ghost in the night and we don't speak of our group. If you do well then you get to meet my brother up close. No one truly wants me to take off that collar." Then he turns towards Alana wit ha wide grin."Oh that has been resolved and it is all under new management so to speak. It'll be all water under a very large bridge." He then exhales the smoke again into the air slowly with a head shake for a second.

Siya gracefully walks towards the offered chair. A smile is flashed to Thilda, "Welcome to the Gallery." She winks at her, reaching out to brush her fingers on the woman's cheek softly. Her gaze turns to Alana, "I am a free woman. I am not a slave to the Hutts. That.. and Zira has left for other things. I worked for her and with her gone, I no longer work for Xanadu." She winks. Then the chair is taken and she sits, smoothing out her skirts.

Suoh sips his drink and after he sets down the glass, he wipes his chin. He nods to the Siya as the other vouch for her. "She makes a mean drink. That's good in my book." He tips his head to his brother at the mention that they would have to tangle with him if they had loose lips. He gains a visceral and animalistic look in his eyes with a sharp grin. He says nothing more about that, sticky business. However, compared to a dog on a leash he woofs with a playful snarl. He flicks his ash into a nearby tray and takes another hungry inhale. He had a full day of smoking to make up on.

Raim nods his head and says, "The second rule is that while we may do work for other organizations on Nar Shaddaa... or other private parties such as a wealthy senator... our loyalties lie to each other and this organization above and beyond all others. Bottom line. We are a group of people with less than... pure intentions. If we aren't going to look out for each other, no one will. Alana can tell you that she would have been in a rough situation if someone hadn't been there to watch over her back on that rooftop that night. And that would be the same for all of us. Loyalty to the Syndicate over all others. Understood?"

"Understood," Alana Zee echoes. Her mouth twists into a wry smile, "Yeah, I'd have been the one slit open bleeding all over that rooftop, most likely. "Loyalty to the Syndicate." And then she spits on her hand, the traditional if somewhat unhygienic method of sealing a bargain, and offers it to the person standing nearest to her, which is probably Suoh. Lucky Suoh.

Sitting in Siya's lap, Thilda smiles back at her, giggling as she gets comfortable. Then she nods her head at Raim. "Understood, not that I have many other people to work for. Not much of a market for cat burglars, ey?" Grinning, she shrugs her shoulders.

"Next rule anything you make a cut goes to the coffers. 15% is the agreed amount when we started this little boys and girls club." Sirus looks around slowly with a shake of his head for the moment."Leaders pay it too and each of us do. Any illegal gains we make goes into the pot so we can expended out into the galaxy. I want more little hidey holes." He watches them all with a wide smile and then he exhales again into the air." This one I paid for out of pocket and the next one I wanna use our group cash for it." He then looks at each of them for a moment and then watches the hand thing for a moment wondering how his brother will react.

EW! Suoh is highly disgusted by the human offering him her saliva covered appendage. He is use to blood. However, he upcurls his upper lip and hacks into his palm and slaps it against hers. "I'll cut you open if you don't, pretty." No longer as reserved having a Hutt keeping tabs on him. He winks at her and tugs her hand in for him to get a closer look at Alana, he sniffs at her getting her scent. He winks. "Play nice and I won't have to."

Siya blinks in surprise as the other woman plops into her lap. "Oof!" She looks to the woman curiously, looking her over and then smiling faintly. She gives a shrug and allows the small woman to nestle into place. Her fingers begin to pet the woman's hair gently, running it through and gently picking out any tangles. Her gaze is upon the men, looking back and forth as they talk, nodding to each rule.

Raim nods and says, "And finally, there is a dress code when attending meetings here at the Gallery. We are trying to draw as little attention to this place as we can. I was high within the ranks of the Cartel, and am trying to give the impression that I have reformed..." The Chiss can't help but smile at this bit of information. Another hand wave has the BB Unit projecting a visage from earlier that same night as before. The view this time is through a cracked door and shows Alana turning back to talk to the woman she murdered and a man that wasn't there in the first video feed. The man has a blaster trained on Alana. The door is pulled open and Raim steps out onto the rooftop, his own blaster firing a red beam of energy over Alana's shoulder to sizzle into the man's heart and then the feed drops. "Which is hardly the case, I can assure you all. The point is, if this organization is going to be able to remain the secret we wish for it to be, we cannot give anyone looking for us an easy trail to follow. It is formal attire to the gallery, and please, PLEASE, do not mention anything that this organization does to the manager of the Gallery. She does not know who she works for, and we would like to keep it that way."

Alana Zee's eyes sparkle as she meets Suoh's gaze. "Same goes for you too, Mister," she says cheerfully. "But just remember I don't play nice. The girl on the rooftop learned that the hard way." She casts a feral grin at Thilda, too, as she sits there on Siya's lap. The icky handclasp with Suoh is separated and she surruptitiously wipes her hand on the seat of her skirt, which judging by her somewhat embarrassed look is causing her to have second thoughts on the suitability of the outfit in the formal setting. "I can do some more shopping," she mumbles.

"Yeah clothing is going to be free. I paid for a few outfits at this place and you can tell him the birdes sent you." Sirus laughs softly with a wink and then exhales again slowly."I figured that way without a tailor can get something picked up. I paid for 5 outfits and only picked up 3 and so there are two left." He then brushes out a few wrinkles in the suit as he walks over towards the desk pouring himself a drink slowly."So then you all on borad so far? Any questions?"

Suoh gets a shiver! "Oh! I like this one! Willing to wrestle you anytime short stack." His eyes travel to his saliva wiped on the seat of Alana's skirt. He chuckles and goes to wash his hands in the bar's sink. He dries his hand to Alana. He winks and teases. "If you play nice, I'll be willing to take you shopping."

Siya shakes her head at Sirus's comment. "I have no questions at present." The Zeltrons says in a smooth voice. She continues to pet Thilda's hair, simply enjoying the presence of the woman. "I always love shopping.." This is said to herself more than anyone.

Raim nods his head as everyone seems to be in agreement with the rules. He takes a drink from his glass of wine and says, "If we are all in agreement, then I say we are now all brothers and sisters of the Shadow. Bound to one another by our pledge. Do not forget it, and do not betray each other." He pauses for a few moments before he says, "I was thinking that we should have a nonverbal way of recognizing other members of the organization. Either a ring, though that is quite obvious, or a tattoo of some kind. An insignia that can be revealed to one another, to prove who we are."

"Well that is a grand idea." Sirus exhales the smoke slowly watching them each for a second."I would rather something that can't be copied of course." He then runs his fingers through his hair slowly and then he picks up his drink slowly."I mean is there something that could not be copied is my issue." He then sips the drink as he thinks for a moment and then he exhales the smoke into the air again with a content sigh."But I agree Raim something to mark us to each other."

"I'd rather /she/ take me clothes shopping. I think I'd end up with something nicer," Alana deadpans, pointing over at Siya. "Siya. I think she has good taste. Not that you don't," she adds innocently to Suoh, "but it's a girl thing."

Suoh mouth hangs open, he is insulted and he tugs on the lapels of his suit. "Suit yourself." He mentions to Alana. He snaps his fingers like a sassy gay man. "Your funeral honey." He winks in a teasing manner and then dials down the sass. Not insulted anymore, now he is having some fun on the new recruits. He looks over to Siya. "I'm sure she'll find you something nice anyway. Right Siya?"

Siya smiles brightly at Alana, "Yes! We will find something very nice. Hmm. I think we can get formal with your sense of style too. It is important to feel comfortable in what you wear." She watches as Thilda gets up from her lap and steps away, leaving her lap much less warm now. So sad. "I see you like more of the tough girl look. We can get you a formal dress that screams tough girl! A black dress, with a chain strap. Hangs around your curves with a chain belt. Silver jewelry to match the chains. A black pendant." She taps her chin. "Hmmm. You look tasty in my mind."

Raim takes another drink of his wine, finishing off the glass and placing it back on the table. His eyes watch the gathered members of the Syndicate with interest for a few moments and then says, "Very well, I believe that concludes the formal part of the meeting for this evening. Everyone should think about an insignia of some sort that we can use to identify ourselves to one another. I have a job coming up that I will need some of you for, so be watching for my word."

Blushing at Siya's words, Alana Zee's gaze loses a little focus as she pictures the outfit in her mind. "Thank you!" she perks up. "I appreciate it, Siya. I'm so glad you aren't working for that Hutt..." and from the way she paused, she was clearly planning on adding a perjorative expression in there too, but catches herself in case it causes offence. "...that Hutt person." When Raim speaks, she falls silent, nodding slightly at his words. "How about a tattoo that is different for everyone, but describes them somehow to the others? So it can't be copied," she says cheerfully.

"Well I have a business to head out to my friends." Sirus looks at them all with a wide grin."It was a pleasure but I got a few informants to poke and tell them I'm stillin business." He exhales the smoke into the air with a shake of his head. As he hears this last desc and he turns slowly with a nod."I like that idea it's a great one. She is going to be a great asset." He then exhales the smoke into the air with a laugh softly and then he opens the exit."Night you all." Then he heads up with a shake of his head.

Siya rises to her feet and she glides over to where Raim stands, "I am not too keen on tattoos." This is said to all gathered, "It would have to be in a place where it can be easily seen. What I am going to do will require a lot of image issues, mingling with people higher up." She ponders. "Wait. Maybe a tattoo with invisible ink that can only be seen under certain lights?" She gives a shrug. "Though, maybe the men could have cufflinks and the women, a bracelet of sorts. I will think on it." She looks to Sirus and nods. "Good night, Sirus. I am going to turn in myself." She gives a sassy smile to Raim, "I will see you all later."
