Training Day

OOC Date: May 7, 2022
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Participants: Caius Sentari, Sumi Kora as Self/GM

[Sumi]

Twi'Lick is a hopping place; the music is intoxicating, the women are beautiful (men, too, for those selected to serve on staff), and drinks are being poured liberally. It's said the club is managed by some high-ranking member of the Cartel, which lends to reason why the spice here is also sold more liberally, and why security is devout. To the Hutts, business and profit were all that mattered, and anything (or anyone) obstructing that, paid the price.

Sumi Kora is present tonight and seated at a cushioned arrangement of circular couches. They are oriented to face each other, intended for party of people to talk or be entertained by a dancer who occupies the center. That center is a table, or a stage, and at present a young female in nothing but glittering beads dances before Sumi. The dancer is uncertain if her effort has pleased the Mandalorian because the quiet warrior is sitting with her helmet on. The helmet's visor is a silver, mirror like consistency which yields the dancer's reflection back at her and clues her in on no indication about the observer behind that intimidating helm.

Sumi sits with one leg over her other, her cape is tucked back and pulled free from beneath her (so she hasn't sat upon it)and is bunched up between the couch's back cushion and Sumi's back. Nearby, a party of swoop gang members enjoy their own festivities, screaming and celebrating their drug induced euphoria with two glittering dancers by snorting or licking spice off their bodies at random locations. One licks it from the palm of a dancer's hand, and the other off the arch of a foot. It all seems in good fun.

[Caius]

A cop walks into a bar. Well, a strip club - and it seems that Caius didn't even need to use any of his usual lack-of-charm to get in - the bouncers hold the beads open for him, even. Seems he's accepted in the place. Not that he's in an accepting mood.

He scans the room wearing a deadpan face for a long beat, as if looking for quarry - he's certainly eyeing the girls like they're prey - but he laser-focuses on the smattering of swoopers near Sumi and grins. He lets his heavy boots thump on the ground - not that it would be heard over the club's thumping music, but his armour is that heavy - as he makes a beeline for them, stopping short of the end of their table.

"Heeey, Flaco. Remember me? JDC, Coruscant? Yeah, you do.", Caius opens with the head of that table, his thumbs looping into his utility belt as he poses confidently. The swoopers quiet down and eye him carefully. Caius eyes them each in turn. "…when you're done with your little /revelry/, you should come find me. We're gonna have a little talk about that somethin' ya owe, feel me?", he murmurs towards the group, his hands gesturing daintily around at their party just to make sure they know what he thinks of it. He then leans over towards the nearest ganger, the most menacing look he can manage face…

"BOO!", he exclaims, and the poor lad just about jumps in his seat, taking the dancer on his lap up with him. Caius lights up into a smirk and straightens back out, gesturing his free hand in a circle at their leader. "See ya 'round like a doughnut, Flacky.", he says, turning on his heel and striding away towards the apparently empty arrangement nearby to take his own place. He stops short when he spots Sumi there, and he inclines his head before taking a seat the next booth over, lighting a cigarette as he settles.

[Sumi]

"A-a-are you pleased with this one, mistress?" Asks the slave dancer timidly of Sumi, who just responds with a quiet nod. "I-is there sssomething more. this one can do?"

«"Just dance, and stop asking me questions."> Sumi in-tones, her voice dull sounding over the emitter inside her helmet. Sumi is aware of Caius Sentari's comments to the gang nearby, not that her tinnitus do her any favors, but thanks to the auditory enhancement software embedded into her helmet, she analyzes the man's voice in idle contemplation.

By her reckoning, six men in the group of twelve bear bounties of some significant nature, and facial recognition scans that leverage the vast archives of the Guild come back with positive IDs. This entire process is a minor functionality, but one that keeps her well paid. It's not clear if she has any intention of capitalizing on the bounties here, but it seems an ideal spot were it not for the venue being Cartel ran. Caius provided a unique opportunity though, as it seemed the group allegedly owed him currency.

Sumi's dancer bends over in front of her and raises back up slowly, emphasizing the attractive valley of her spine, and those intimate details between her legs. In truth, it's an alluring sight, but Sumi's turned her head from it (earning a small frown from the dancer) to look toward Sentari.

<"Did you hear that?"> Sumi asks of the man.

[Caius]

Caius, for his part, had ended up in the perfect position to overhear things - but not because of any fancy-pants tech or any gum-shoe technique, but because he had hitched his head on the backrest as he reclined in the interim - feet up on the table and all - as he resolved to watch Sumi's private fare from the sideline himself. Front and center now, though.

"…heard what?", he asks lazily at Sumi, his gaze now brought to the Mando in reflective armour, scoffing after a beat of looking her over. Because he was effectively looking himself over, his image reflecting off her armour. His gaze switches back over to the dancer as he awaits a response, giving the poor frowning lass a little wink. At least /someone/ appreciates her dancing…

[Sumi]

«"That they have no intention of paying you back,"> Sumi says, turning her gaze toward the dancer, too, who perks up a bit from being validated by the man who winked, and again by Sumi watching her. A short tremble made it seem like she was intimidated by Sumi, but that feeling increased more when she knew Sumi was watching her. She began to crawl on the small stage, pausing to cross her legs at her ankles and point her cute painted toes back at Sumi before wagging her back end, playfully.

«"Even now, they plot to kill you once you leave the club. They claim some advantage of numbers against you. I wager they could win.. unless you have help.”>

Sumi motions for the dancer to come closer, and she's complicit. Crawling from the table to take up residence between the Mando's legs, looking up at her from her knees and making a pouting face. Sumi touches her cheek, tracing a thumb over her lips and allowing her to gently pull the tip of her finger between them with a playful suck. The action stirs a response from Sumi, but it isn't conveyed through armor which is a shame, the dancer might have liked to of known.

<"I can help you,"> Sumi reasons, but adds on the usual Mando follow-up, <".. for a price.">

[Caius]

Caius stifles a chuckle as he turns in full to hitch his elbows on the backrest, clearly intending to enjoy the show. And use the cover of enjoying the show to have a conversation with Sumi, apparently. "First off, is it wise to have your dancer here while we talk about this? I'd rather her stay, but… /really/?", he comments with only an upturned eyebrow to indicate his skepticism, before he shakes it off.

An amused smirk remains on his lips as his golden eye shifts over to gaze at the distant swoopers, the light in it osciallating subtly. "…mm, mm. Flaco. Ever /ungrateful/. I suppose it is time to rid myself of an ultimately uncontrollable loose end.", he says almost sadly and with a huff. "He was useful, though. I'd feel bad. You should give me a feel-bad discount.", he jokes, his full gaze now firmly on Sumi as he considers her.

[Sumi]

<"What did you hear, sweetheart?"> Sumi asks of the dancer who is lightly kissing the pad of Sumi's thumb before glancing back up at her, "This one hears what you want her to hear." Taking out a credit with her free hand, she offers the chit to the woman who accepts it between her teeth. It read 1,000c, enough to buy silence and make true the statement the woman claimed.

Sumi regards Sentari then, <"Payment would not be conventional. Six of the twelve I count have bounties. Should we live, I will claim them. What of their belongings and personal effects, to include any currency they are carrying, will be yours. Provided.."> Sumi huffs with amusement, <"...we survive.">

<"How many do you think you can take?">

[Caius]

Caius flits his eyes up in a dainty little roll, a hand coming up to sweep back his hair just as delicately as he considers the Twi'lek, her answer, and mostly the way she ministrated on Sumi's finger. "If you say so.", he acquiesces, sated on that front.

He takes a moment then to puff on his smoke, savouring both it and the terms Sumi put forth, gaze over and away in the distance as if to think. "I dunno. Prolly half.", he spitballs at the Mando. "Bertha's never failed me." His H-11 carbine peeks out from behind the backrest of his chair, and it waggles. "…and neither have my feet. Though I'll be damned if I run, I haven't been in a scrap in a bloody good while.", he concludes with a subtle lick of his lower lip as his gaze returns to the gangers. He then waves his cigarette-armed hand about.

"And pah, you can have my share of creds. So long as you invite me to your next /shows/, yeah?" He upnods Sumi and the dancer, just to be clear about what he's talking about. "And, uh, maybe any spare powercells. Gotta upkeep and all."

[Sumi]

‹"I'll think about it. For now, this group will be prompted to leave after you do. If we have an accord, then prepare yourself and head out. I will join you once they have followed and I know it is not just idle boasting or their drugs talking."> Sumi lightly taps the dancer's cheek and nods with her head in a way that conveys she's free to leave. The dancer does so without complaint, rising up with Sumi's help and slinking off, quiet and heading for the back to pay her boss what she made.

Sumi relaxes in her seat and watches the dancer walk away.

[Caius]

Caius continues to watch the dancer as she's bid and walks away, his gaze focussing on her /lower extremity/. "Mm. Not a moment's peace in th' Smuggler's Moon.", he whine-opines, turning back around to recline just a few moments more and puff out the rest of his cigarette. When that's done, he straightens out, holsters his carbine and helmets himself. <"Let's get on with it then.">, he emits to Sumi, hitching himself up and striding towards the exit. It's just garble to everyone else - his armour is equipped with a comms scrambler.

[Sumi]

Sentari does not make it far outside when the members of the swoop gang catch up to him. They are not so bold as to surround the armored man, of course every threat is taken as a threat, until they're dead. There's no sign of Sumi Kora either, leaving twelve opponents at present, for Caius Sentari to deal with. Each brandish their own weapon, some melee and others ranged. With rain beginning to pour, it sets the stage for what's to follow.

Flaco points a blaster at Caius, cocking it side ways as most gangsters do. "You had this coming man.. walking up in front of my gang like you have power over me. You got nothing. So I hope a few creds was worth it.-- Waste this guy."

The fight suddenly breaks out.

[Caius]

<"I got this.">, Caius says, turning about and shooting his carbine one-handed and straight at Flaco in the middle of his speech. A two-shot burst careens towards Flaco and one of them hits him in the right leg. At this, he lifts his carbine up and emits, "…and thirteen more shots, if you pissants want to try me." The smile is palpable even behind the star-cross helmet. Try they do, though - the gang rushes him, and Caius doesn't miss a beat with his footing as he dodges every hit - except for a glancing blaster bolt to the arm.

<"Hrrgh.">, Caius garbles out as he grasps at the hitmark, helmet swivelling around for a sign of his backup.

[Sumi]

Caius is not alone for long. The thunder omits the noise of a jetpack, but the weighted landing of a fully armored Mandalorian percusses enough to draw the attention of a few. Unfortunately for one, it's the last thing they see.

Sumi casts her cape to one side, withdrawing a .48 slug throwing single-action revolver that fires in quick succession. After each shot, the Mandalorian locks the hammer back. For one man, she missed initially, but as he skid to a stop after evading, she leveled the revolver and pulled the trigger.

The resulting blast spills the contents of their head on the pavement, dropping the body like a sack of bone fish, messy and stinky all the same. Sumi locks back the hammer for a third shot that misses a wizened up gangster who leaps behind cover.

Shots pour in from all angles, and Sumi sustains one to the chest, her armor redirecting it back toward the ground while the kinetic impact takes her backward several steps.

Ten gang members remain, moving around and firing at both Caius Sentari and Sumi Kora alike. Sumi starts giggling as she chases after a small group, her HUD marking her intended targets allowing her to hone in on them.

[Caius]

Caius catches glancing hits by virtue of blaster bolts as he sprinted away towards cover (and likely away from that roaring jetpack and the flygirl its attached to), using the distraction to full effect and stumbling back behind a dumpster. He looses another two-shot burst from behind it, finding his shots true and dropping the ganger that was after him. <"Mandos and their dramatic entrances.">, he emits towards Sumi. He was probably half-busy just watching the woman work, hence the sloppy footwork - still, he's up and fighting on.

[Sumi]

Sumi has little luck landing a good hit with the revolver. Two shots are wasted on cover, blowing bits of the metallic casing all over the street with no joy on the target hiding behind it. She brings up her off-hand, engaging the vambrace present there and taking aim through her helmet HUD. The moment she's achieved sight alignment, a subtle squeeze of her fingers to form a fist releases a violent torrent of laser fire from her wrist. The blast lands firmly against their chest, spilling them out on the pavement to stare up at the sky and downpour of rain.

Sumi pivots in place, having trouble tracking so many targets in a target rich environment. For the most part, their shots miss, but another finds realestate on her chest again, having the same effect as before by knocking the wind from her and forcing her to take a step back, she holsters the Enforcer and reaches beneath her cape. A second later, the Song Blade of Dargul is drawn out, the whistling melee weapon singing its song each time it moves.

[Caius]

A weird garbling sound reminiscent of a vox-tech cackle emitted from Caius as he distractedly watched Sumi unsheathe her sword. <"Bloody Sith, they're in for it now.">, he quietly intones before he notices another ganger going for him. He immediately puts his legs to good use and hoofs it towards the next object of cover - another dumpster - not even caring about civvies in the way as he bum-tackles them out of the way. <"MOVE!">, he orders as he lets loose another burst and drops the incoming knucklehead.

[Sumi]

Sumi moves toward the man responsible for shooting her and cuts his hand clean off with the first cleaving motion of her weapon. The Song Blade of Dargul whistles a mournful tune until it makes connection with their arm, severing the limb in one pass. Sumi draws the weapon back, plunging it forward for a stab that's avoided, and the man screams in agony because of their arm. That scream is cut short when she side steps and thrusts the arming sword into his mouth and out the back of his head. The movement and action is so brutal, his gurgled reaction surprises a laugh from Sumi, who takes a moment to kick him off the length of her weapon.

To the swoop gang members remaining, they see but shadows of Caius Sentari and Sumi Kora. The rain seems to distort them a bit, so fearful shots land anywhere but on target, betraying their position without yielding anything back to them.

Sumi strides toward her next target, the Song Blade thirsty for blood.

[Caius]

Caius is very clearly laughing like a maniac, garbled as it is. He's animated. /Happy/, even, stuck in the dual pleasures of battle and downpour. Whether or not this is stress response or something else entirely can't really be determined at a glance, but what /can/ be determined is that Caius is a crack shot, because his next burst hits the nearest ganger in the /head/. Poor bastard dropped immediately, the hole in his forehead smoking despite the deluge. It is the midst of his manic delight in watching the fight unfold that he's hit directly in the torso as he exposed himself. A <"BAH."> is heard from him as he then hoofs it once more, deftly avoiding two more shots in the process.

[Caius]

<"Fark it.">, Caius garbles out, popping up from his cover to walk straight towards at the nearest ganger. The poor sod fires at him, and he simply side-steps it, gesturing a shrug at the knucklehead. <"You tried. You failed.">, he says unscrambled as he lifts carbine and shoots out another burst, one of the bolts blowing the hooligan's arm clean off. He then turns towards the remaining gangers, primed to shoot as he closes the distance in stride.

[Sumi]

"WAIT--WAI--" Sumi cuts down another Swoop gang member, her weapon singing the song of death and overruling his pleading with a more finite sound that ends with the toppling of his form. She transitions to attack his friend, but the man twists from the reach of her sword and begins to sprint away. She lifts her offhand, presenting the vambrace once more to take aim, then fires another blast that impacts the back of his frame, spilling him to the ground in the rain where he did not move again.

Bodies lay all around them now, and Sumi looks for Caius Sentari to make certain the man is still alive. He appears to be holding his own which earns a measure of respect from the Mando, though she isn't one to voice it. With four left, tracking has become significantly easier, so Sumi closes in on her prey in order to see the arrangement completed.

[Caius]

Caius lets loose one final burst, not even caring to seek cover or aim as he stalks through the torrent like the epitome of the word, 'Stormtrooper'. Not that he is, mind, since his shots strike true, for one. He sure does love the 'carefree assault' doctrine, though - he was just about point-blank range with last ganger on his plate, ergo once again blowing a limb clear off of them. It does a funny twirl all the way over yonder, and it's funny because Caius garbles out cackle once more, letting his carbine drop as he watches Sumi and her singular quarry.

[Sumi]

Sumi cuts down another in a pair of sword slashes, then turns to blast another by lifting her arm and firing the vambrace across the distance. The resulting blast see them appended and planted firmly upon their back. Two left, and Caius is already charging them down. Sumi joins him in a brisk walk, song blade in one hand and the charging whine of her vambrace upon the other. She offers no parting words, just the cold embrace that death promised!

[Caius]

Caius had shifted up both hands to take of his helmet, letting bared head soak in the downpour. His expression is manic, as expected - though he is panting out his exhaustion through an open grin, a hand resting on his left shoulder pauldron to press. "…heh. Yeah.", he says simply in response to Sumi, watching her walk off for longer than appropriate, before his attentions turn towards the poor, downed Flaco, still breathing shallow as he laid supine.

The lawman walks over to the gang leader and rests a boot on their chest. "For what it's worth, it was never about credits…", Caius murmurs down at the man as he aims the carbine at his face. "…was always about respect, blob.", Caius ends with a lopsided grin and in inclined head before he shoots him dead. A few more beats of him just appreciating the carnage before him before he shuffles off in the opposite direction of Sumi, probably to look for a medic.
