Clan Kurshi Deathsnake visit the Voss Galactic hangar

OOC Date: April 8, 2023
Location: Nar Shaddaa
Participants: Aria Voss, Merulia, Narsha, Bar'duur, Jayla Shane, Eirik, Kaine Ul-Nass, Saito

  • --< Hangar 03 - Voss Galactic - Dawnrise District, Nar Shaddaa >*---**---**---*

This is one of the larger hangars, capable of housing at least two corvette sized craft and an array of freighters and fighters as well. The entrance consists of two massive hangar doors, and beside those are a pair of smaller lift doors that bring guests up from the starport many stories below. Droids move about looking after the place as well as any normal employees this outfit currently employs.

The floor is painted grey with green zones painted out to designated good parking spots, and there are red markings as well for walking areas, droid traffic zones, and even vehicle parking spots and then gold markings designate main walkways for beings. The gold markings would lead one to the left where a door set in the wall leads to a large 15-being sized lift, that leads up to the apartments above. Huge overlooking windows, angled downward somewhat, are set high above the hangar where those in the apartment can look down into it, they seem to be able to be tinted for privacy as well.

To the right, far rear corner of the hangar there is a big pile of stacked crates, massive ones in front but around back smaller ones make up neat steps allowing one to climb to the top of the crate pile. And not too far from the door leading to the apartment, a big gym area has been set up, mads are laid out, kick bags hang from sturdy mounts that are secured to the floor. A variety of weights and practice weapons are also available in storage crates, and the gym looks big enough one could teach a 30 person class at the most at a time.

"No.. no. /That/ one goes /there/ ..."

Aria, in her typical 'corporate armor' is directing traffic cargo loading traffic. One half of the ENORMOUS bay (farthest from the apartment door, go figure) -- and just half itself big enough to hold whole a CR90 (which it /doesn't/ ... there is no CR90 here... at all...) -- is still being used for daily traffic operations, maintenance, storage, prep, pre-flighting, refueling, etc.

The other half, which Aria is standing in, is getting piled up to dangerous levels with cargo. Dangerous because it wasn't like this was some secluded warehouse. It wasn't /hard/ to see that there were crates being stockpiled, and the more money that sat around in one place, the more likely it was to be a target.

So, there are huge piles of crates in the half that doesn't have ships coming and going. Instead, there are droid haulers and people in jumpsuits walking around. One, a boy who looks even younger than she does, seems confused, but he's the one holding the datapad.

"Look... 96, right?.. There." Aria points at the paint on the floor. "69. No. Turn around. I.. I swear to god. You see how /that/ one says 68, and /that/ one says 70?"

Lightbulb.

Aria sighs, smiling tensely, and walks away, running her fingers through her hair. She'd sent Meru a message inviting her over for casual chat. No rush. Still, maybe she'd be along, eventually, to save her from whatever fresh hell she'd created for herself.

Well, if one was going to look for transport around the stars at times, there were worse ways to manage it. Besides, an invitation sent to her slightly dented datapad was enough to have the Sephi arriving, sans poncho and wrapped in her usual wrapping-formed travel clothing, a small satchel on her waist suggesting she'd brought along her medical kit. Wouldn't be the first time she'd been called to help try and patch someone up after all!

With her blonde hair down and hanging free over her shoulders the Sephi moved, making her way through the space and sticking out like the knife-eared stranger she was!

What Aria needed was someone to throw a wrench into the perfect order that was going on in the hangar! Instead of a wrench, the Zeltron Heiress instead gets a Miraluka. A Miraluka who picked up the habit of wandering the cargo hangar and opening up random boxes, humming into them and looking /very/ thoughtful. How does her race see? Narsha hasn't explained it and hadn't shown any indication that she would.

In typical Narsha fashion, she was doing this very thing as the workers went to and fro about their jobs! Most of the distractions or slowness could probably be attributed to everyone looking Narsha's way when she bent over, exposing her plump rump through her very revealing courtesan robes. Perhaps she did this on purpose to mess with Aria or perhaps the woman was just bored and looking to get into something. Who knew with Narsha?

Some ships have a spot, usually because they are so often here, like the Reaper. Assets tends to be in and out, so it's spot can at times be occupied when it is needed, but often it's tucked to the side and out of the way beside the Tie Avenger. Bar'duur is over by the Reaper, holding a piece of cloth and rubbing the black panels on it's exterior 'wings'. Now and then he looks around, over at Aria, smirking a bit, it's fun to watch her working.

Aria was starting to walk back towards the apartment when her violet gaze caught sight of movement not-quite-obscured by crates. She moved far enough to spot the rump sticking out and her eyes narrowed, shifting from the precariously positioned robes to the gawking spectators.

"/Narsha!/"

The young heiress's voice has a bite to it, and her eyes snap back up to her /other/ employees, who look mildly mortified, scurrying back to whatever their task was /supposed/ to be.

"/What/ are you--"

"MISS! STOP!" the shout comes from one of the rifle-carrying guards in a Voss uniform, his voice echoing in the cavernous space. And then he started trotting towards Merulia -- in as non-threatening a way as a two-hundred-pound-plus-armor-and-rifle man can trot towards the Sephi.

Aria turns at the shout. Not only because she was /also/ a miss (get it.. amiss), but because someone else was unexpectedly barking orders.

Violet eyes shift from guard to Sephi and blink, allowing a smile. She raises her voice to carry over the distance, waving at the guard, "She's with me!" And then she's waving Merulia over, that smile lingering on her lips.

"You came!"

She doesn't seem to notice Bar. Or, if she did, she'd /already/ noticed, and didn't seem to mind his wandering gaze.

Unaware of the backside distractions, Merulia may well be about the only person who was truely more distracted by the vessels most probably thought were boring at this point. How curious it was that she- Oh! She was being challenged!

No weapons in hands or indeed on her form that anyone could see (and there wasn't a heap of places to check given attire and stature) Merulia tilts her head to the side. "I was invited here," she begins, a fact thankfully confirmed by Aria moments later as she draws closer.

"You called...was someone injured once again?"

For the moment at least, Narsha didn't hear the screaming at her. Perhaps it was the noise of the hangar or maybe blatant ignoring as she opened a second container and peeked her head inside

Bar'duur notes where Aria is looking, and moving, and notices Narsha over there bent over. His polishing motions halt and for a time he just stares, with a little smirk, before he breaks his gaze and turns it back to what he was doing, so he doesn't get /too/ excited, that wouldn't do. Then he hears the commotion, and once more looks up from his work over to Meru, observing the interactions as he keeps buffing with that piece of cloth, until he eventually sets it aside, draped over one of the blaster canons of the Avenger, as he makes his way closer, offering a wave in greeting to Meru, and then Narsha, if he notices her 'looking' his way..

A laugh bubbles up from Aria's lips, and her smile warms. Her hands lift slightly as she approaches Merulia, an apparent offering of a hug, though she makes no move to /force/ it on the Sephi, either. If it's rebutted, the notion is simply left to fall, hands clasping in front of her.

"No, no. Nothing like that. I just... wanted to chat. I'm sorry if you felt like it was an emergency. I wasn't trying to summon you -- just invite you for tea, or whatever your preference might be," the Lady Voss says, her eyes warm. As busy as she looked, it was surprising she had /time/ for tea.

The half of the hangar closest to the apartment has currently been reserved exclusively for piles of crates, which are stacking up into large piles, loading droids moving them into place -- and very few moving them back /out/ of place. It was turning into a veritable warehouse.

Rifle-carrying security wearing uniforms baring the Voss Galactic logo roam around, keeping an eye on the entrance to the hangar -- thicker than usual, for anyone that's been by before.

A knock at the hangar's 'man door' draws the attention of security. A well-armed figure in blue Mandalorian armor is outside, speaking softly yet directly. <<I'm Jayla of Clan Kurashi Deathsnake, here at the request of the Lady Aria Voss.>> she declares. Both hands are at her sides and (mostly) away from weapons. <<She sent an invitation, if you want to check. I'll wait.>>

"Tea...Oh! Tea. Yes." Merulia begins, blinking a little before the hug is taken...if somewhat experimentally. It wasn't an unknown gesture to her after all, it was just one of the few times it had not been with one of her tribe!

With the arrival of the Mandalorian behind her she blinks, tilting her head to the side before looking back to Aria. "I can drink tea...you are gathering warriors because of what happened?"

Bar'duur is putting some things away, a can of some sort of polish and the rag he'd been using to buff the 'wings' of the Tie Avenger. This done he starts moving toward Aria, where her and Merulia are speaking soon to be joined by Jayla, it seems. His gaze drifts over to find where Narsha went for a moment, before his attention is forward again. "Hey what's going on Arie?" He asks with a brief glance toward the Mando at the gates.

"I am," Aria answers Merulia's question, smiling gently. "Please, stay. Tea might just wait a moment."

Then the heiress's own gaze is pulled back towards the Mandalorian waiting for her regular security to let her through, and she raises her voice to carry.

"Let her in!"

She doesn't step far away from Merulia. In fact, it's just to the Sephi's side, but it's enough to be seen clearly by Jayla as soon as she enters. Aria may not have distinctive armor, but between her clothing and.. well.. the rest of her, she was distinctive enough, in many ways.

There's something perpetually /regal/ about her -- her posture, the way she holds her hands, even the way she lifts her chin. Her smile, however, is warm and inviting towards the Mandalorian.

"Jayla of Clan Kurshi Deathsnake," the Zeltron says, her voice formal enough for it to be an announcement to anyone within earshot, of exactly /who/ was entering the hangar. Her hands open slightly in front of herself, a welcoming gesture. "Welcome. And thank you, for coming."

It's the question from Bar, however, that draws her attention over to the Zabrak. Amusement touches the corners of her eyes. "Making friends and offering gratitude where it's do," she answers simply.

Introductions aren't made, yet. She waits for Jayla to get closer before she starts all that.

Jayla Shane is patient, and she waits. Boot heels clack loudly on the floor as she strides over. It's not hard to spot Aria across the hangar, and they've met before already. Once she is close with the group she assumes a relaxed stance, although the helmet remains on.

<< "It's a pleasure to meet you under more social circumstances." >> she replies. The helmet turns slowly about, HUD optics registering the others one by one. Merulia gets a formal nod, as does Bar'duur. << "You have quite the entourage, Lady, even without the Sith." >>

With Jayla drawing Aria away, Merulia actually lifts a hand to properly greet the TIE polishing Bar before she comes to fold her arms against her midriff and tilt her head as Jayla is announced properly, considering for a moment. "Do you expect them to arrive here?" she questions softly, "to be brazen enough to mount an assault?"

Trailing off at the thought that this was entirely possible on the Smuggler's moon, she nods her head lightly. "Thank you for dealing with the thug who decided I was a target," she offers the Mando lightly.

Narsha had continued to move in and out of view as the four others gathers together. Fully disappearing for several minutes. Eventually a young man walks out from behind a shelf of cargo containers with a /peculiar smile/ on his face with Narsha reappearing a few moments later depositing something withing the sleeves of her rather revealing robes.

Walking over to the group with an innocent and quizzical look on her face, she looks at Aria. "Was one of you calling out my name? Someone said someone was looking for me..." Very innocent indeed.

"And you, Jayla -- and please, if there's a more appropriate way to address you, I'd hear it. I'm woefully inexperienced in proper manners surrounding Mandalorian culture. In any case, /thank you/ for coming, and for what you did for me the other day. I owe you a debt of gratitude, and if there's anything I can do to repay it, I'd gladly hear that as well," comes Aria's reply, her voice lilting with that well-bred coreward aristocracy that's so engrained in her -- and yet only /thickens/ that much when she's feeling particularly... uncomfortable. Or, at least, more formal.

Speaking of entourage.

"Please allow me to introduce Captain Bar'duur," she says, lifting a hand to gesture towards the Zabrak. "And Narsha -- a Courtesan, should you ever have need of such services." She smiles warmly at Narsha, winking without responding to the Miraluka's question. And then her violet eyes turn on the Sephi. "And this is Merulia." A pause, a gentle smile. "A friend. And quite a talented healer."

The Voss Galactic hangar is big enough for two Corvettes, but it's currently bit split in half. The side /farthest/ from the apartment is still being used for ship operations, refueling and servicing freighters, but the half closest to the apartment is turning into a bit of a warehouse, with piles of crates stacking up back to front. That's the area in which Aria and everyone else occupies now, loading droid moving things around in the background behind them.

<< "Jay is just fine, Lady." >> Her weight shifts a little from one foot to the other. Facial images are recorded in the helmet optics, along with ships and the layout of the hangar. As the others are introduced, she nods to each in turn. The helmet hides her expression, of course, but her body language is open.

<< "I remember Merulia. And you are most welcome. I should have shot the two were free, however. An error that I won't repeat. >>

Lacking her poncho or any weapons, the satchel on her waist suggests that Merulia had arrived here expecting another injured party rather than anything like an invitation to meet and greet or drink tea. "You have my thanks none the less," the Sephi offers lightly before letting her hands fall to clasp in front of her waist. "Have I...stumbled into battle plans or anything like that?"

The Truth Teller taxies in to the hangar and settles down on it's landing gear with the usual rumble of engines and wine of gravitics, the YV-666 class freighter starts to power down almost as soon as it lands and a few moments later the hatch opens. Disembarking, still tugging on his vest, Kaine pauses at the bottom of the ramp - noting the new faces along with the familiar ones.

The Miraluka look a little confused as things are spoken about. "What happened? There a party I missed?"

Soon after the YV lands, a Bellbulab attack fighter would land beside it. The fighter's canope slides open and a red-haired man comes out. He looks at the group that has gattered here and offers a friendly wave, before he hesitantly starts to approach them, aa brief smile being offered to Aria when he sees her among the group.

The night last nightbwas still clear in his head. So Eirik Alor of Clan Kurshi Deathsnake arrived clad in his Doom Seeker Armor Blaster on his hip rifle slung across his back the Clan Emblem emblazoned upon his breastplate. Helmet on as he is in Armor and of course out in public he looks around spotting First Jayla he approaches and stands beside her. <"Jayla glad you are well, and have survived another day!"> He greets before quieting and looking around some more T-visored helm moving with his head this way and that.

Aria, Jayla, and Merulia all stand near the middle of the cargo-half of the hangar, the normally gaping maw that is the hangar door closed to allow the secure storage of all of the crates that are being piled up. The greeting between the three of them has all been rather formal, up to this point, with Aria in full-on courtly mode to receive the fully-armored (and armed) Mandalorian.

Bar'duur was close by, but he'd moved over a little to intercept Narsha, who was wandering up from the crates in the back, apparently lost as to the sudden change of events while she'd been busy ferreting through crates that didn't belong to her. Serves her right, really, for trying to annoy Aria, that way.

And then, of course, there's ships landing in the opposite side of the hangar, because this is Voss Galactic and there are /always/ ships coming and going from the hangar. It doesn't even seem to warrant Aria's attention until the last two float in on repulsors and set down, a little smile tugging at her lips.

But then her attention is back on Jayla fully. "Jay, then," she says, raising a hand to touch her chest. "And in that case, please, call me Aria. I can't tell you how pleased I am to meet you." Her violet eyes drift to Merulia, then, and a soft laugh escapes. "No, nothing like that. This is all purely social. Last night, I bumped into..."

Aria's voice trails off, the sight of Eirik walking into the hangar making her smile broaden. "Speaking of -- Eirik Kurshi Deathsnake, Alor of Clan Kurshi Deathsnake, welcome to our humble facilities," she announces. Just like she'd done for Jayla, her voice is raised to carry towards him as he approaches, but it's also a /notice/ to anyone in earshot of exactly who he was. "It's good to see you, again." Her eyes shift down to the astromech at his feet, and her smile softens. "And Cage. It's good to see you again as well," she greets the droid directly.

That done, however, she lifts her gaze back to the two newest arrivals -- Kaine and Saito -- and her smile is warm, a hand lifting from her side to offer to.. well.. either one or both of them. It's not really clear at that distance. In any case, it's an invitation to approach.

"Meru, if you like," Merulia offers with a lift of her hand to her chest before turning her gaze towards Eirik whom she wasn't sure if she'd met or attended at the pit fighters club. She was still learning to tell mandalorians apart after all!

The Sephi does look up at the new ships drawing in, but the trailing off of Aria does have the young Healer (or medic to the tactically minded) look closer.

Jayla Shane shifts a step, opening her stance a little as Eirik arrives. She greets him with a nod as well. << "Good to see you as well, Eirik. Glad you have not been eaten." >> she replies. Others arrive, ships and people, and are recorded in the helmet systems. << "The Lady invited me for a social visit." >>

She turns back towards the group, when she pauses. << "If you will excuse me. I have a comm incoming. Something to tend to back at my ship. Feel free to contact me anytime." >>

She strides briskly to the door, and once outside there is the roar of rockets as the jetpack ignites and she flies off.

The hangar appears to be quite a bit more busy than even it's generally 'reduced' space due to playing roughly half warehouse - Mandalorians, familiar faces, and a meeting gathering up around Aria that doesn't seem to be as tense as it might be, but then you never do know with Aria.

There's a moment's pause where Kaine looks like he might just turn back around - as if he'd forgotten something - before he hears Aria's welcome and introduction to at least one of the Mandalorians. So, with that he makes his way over to join the group, giving Saito a nod in greeting along the way, before focusing his attention on the others as he gets closer. Nothing so long as to be called staring, certainly, but a good once over. Noting Meru, there, of course he offers her a smile and a bit of an up-nod as well, "Meru, good to see you, Aria, others..impromptu gathering, or something up?"

Narsha did look a little confused as she stood with the gathered group trying to figure out who the man in the Mando gear was until Aria or him says his name and she gives him a finger wave and a smile. "You're the mate of... Talli right? I think that was her name..." A manicured nail tapping her chin as she tries to recall. With a small shrug as she shakes off the slight lack of recollection she looks at Aria and Barr, perhaps more to annoy the pair of them. Though is /was/ possible her curiosity had her wanting to learn. "When I was ferreting through the containers I found these mugs."

A breath, "And next to them was this weird fruit.... when did we start carrying fruit in the hangar? I've not seen it in here before when I've rummaged around."

Saito pauses in his way to return Kaine's nod, before he approaches the group. "A good day to you all," the red-haired man greets the group, nodding to Aria when she makes the introductions. He would glance to Eirik, offering him a nod. "My name is Saito," he says, introducing himself and turning to Narsha. "Hello, Narsha, its good to see you again." he blinks when he sees the fruitt in her hand. "Well, thats.. Unusual, for sure.."

Eirik smiles and nods to Narsha.< "Aye I am and my mate and I would love for you to come by and visit again sometime."> He smiles before looking to Aria. <"Please Aria, Eirik is just fine. My is used only formally."> Bowing his head. <"As I said we see here to protect and keep you safe. To build friendships and allies."> His tone hard to discern given the monotone sound that comes from the vocabulator but the fist thumping his chest in that bow shows sincerity.

Meru herself does tilt her head at the introductions, but she wasn't certain to who the 'Mate' was either. Kaine however, she did know. A nod-slash-bow offered before she shrugs her bared shoulders. "I was told I was invited around here for 'Tea', but beyond that it seems there are many who are gathering."

"It was a pleasure to meet you, Jay. I will. Please know that you have a standing invitation," Aria says to the Mandalorian woman that leaves to take a call.

It's Kaine that gets her attention next, a reassuring smile touching her lips. "Nothing to worry about. Getting acquainted with new friends from Clan Kurshi Deathsnake," she explains. "The Alor..." There's a subtle shift of her eyes to Eirik, and her smile turns a little more pleased, ".../Eirik/ ...has graciously offered his clan's protection, given the recent attempt on my life. Jay was the one that intervened and stopped the assailants." Of course, there was Lady Aryn, the Sith, too, but that part's left off. Right now, all of the flattery is paid to the Mandalorians themselves. And when Eirik offers that bow of his head, she returns the gesture with a softer, much more feminine touch of her hand to her heart -- a quiet thanks, and a sign of how much the protection truly meant to her.

Then it's Saito who gets her attention -- and a little more. When he steps up to the group, Aria shifts gracefully to his side, her hand raising to touch his arm. It 'connects' them without being showy, though the smile she has for him after his arrival is a bit more reassured than it had been before.

Narsha is next. Without moving away from Saito, Aria's smile thins as she looks at the Miraluka, impatience lining the wrinkles in her forehead. "You do remember that we're a transportation company?" she asks. "Those are goods people have paid us to transport for them. We're not selling goods -- we're delivering them, Narsha. I would appreciate it if you could make sure everything is returned to its proper crates. We do have a reputation to uphold, if you'd like to continue getting paid."

To Merulia, then, she smiles. "That's an excellent point, actually. We should move inside. Anyone that would like to is welcome to join us." Her eyes shift to Eirik, explicitly singling him out. "Including and especially our new allies."

There's a questioning glance up at Saito, then, as if asking if he was (or perhaps if he would) join them. If he's willing, she hooks her wrist through his arm and moves towards the apartment door, expecting the rest of the group to follow.

"I see, well, I'm Kaine Ul-Nass as Aria hinted at." Kaine notes to Eirik and he droid as well, "Add my thanks to that of Aria's for you and your clan's intervention and offer of protection." The greeting between Aria and Saito is noted with just the faintest narrowing of his eyes before he tugs a datapad from one of the many pockets in is vest and gives it a glance. "Speaking of cargo and shipping, transport, and the like - I'm late to a meeting with a private consignment. I'll catch up with you all later.. and Meru, good to see you again, stop by the Truth Teller some time if you've a mind, I don't think you've been aboard since I bought her."

The pilot allows the contact from Aria, gently slipping his arm in hers when she does the same. He sighs and shakes his head when Aria lectures Narsha, a mild look if disaproval in his eyes. He raises his other hand to wave to Kaine. "Safe travels, Kaine," he calls out ot the departing pilot, atention going to the Mandalorian. "I should alsso thank you forr helping Aria, Eirik," he says politely. He offers the faintest of nods to Aria and starts to follow her into the apartment.
