The Guild captures a Harrower Class Dreadnaught

OOC Date: May 20, 2021
Location: Deep Space
Participants: Boba Fett, Hadrix Kora, Evie Leven, Avery Ihala Kora, Zelo Parrai, Bossk NPC, Aurra Sing NPC, Sumi Kora

The sensors didn't read a thing, but that didn't matter when their acquisition was pursued by the best hunters in the galaxy. There it sat, a large Harrower class dreadnaught. It appeared adrift, like the asteroids around it, but idle engines and guidance systems kept the vessel at a safe distance to manage the otherwise death trap it hid within.

The dreadnaught was the target, and word was that Mr. Bullet wanted it captured and the occupants, at least the pirate occupants, brought to justice. If the pirates died, they died, but no lawless group of thugs needed a dreadnaught, even an ancient one, to base their operations out of. It was clear that they had been overhauling the old vessel to bring it beyond its old glory.

Mix-matched capital ship grade armor plating dot its exterior, and an assortment of mini-turrets, turbo lasers, cannons, and other ordnance were still offline. In the past two hours, only one vessel had arrived and parked within its ample hangar; It had been the Marauder 'Old and Busted' Corvette Sumi and team had chased across the galaxy.

An infiltration mission was launched from the hunters' ships, a small squad of space-faring Mandos who used their jetpacks to cross the open void, navigate the asteroid, and land on the exterior of the craft; now they have managed to cut their way inside and arrive in an airlock chamber that's attached to one of the unused hangars.

Looking inside, they see no personnel, yet the hangar doors are locked and are required to be opened if Sumi Kora is to land a vessel full of hunters to help raid the ship. The airlock has pressurized, the hatch behind them sealed, now all that remain is crossing into the vessel and initiating the hangar bay doors to open.

It's been radio silent to this point. No one wanted to risk being picked up on any frequency band..

No beskar, today at least, but then one needs to breathe while prepping the boarding actions... or in case of ejecting. Or other problems. Wiping the frost from his visor and drawing his vibrosword in one hand and slug pistol with the other. Checking the hatchway and taking a few steps into the hangar itself, detatching the ID10 that had been mounted to his back, next to his jetpack,

<<"Ideas, Gripper?">> <<"Working on it.">>

The big man's head bobs and begins sticking to shadows and his infiltrator droid in his shadow. <<"Sumi, working my way in. Updates as they come.">> keeping low and eyes peeled in the search for control equipment. One can only skirt for so long, but if he can make as much distance as he can under cover; all the better.

Zelo cradles the E-11 in a relaxed carry as he sits on the BHG shuttle. A mission in hostile territory is not the time to try rocketeering in the Black Ocean for the first time. Just another thing he needs to train on, added to the list. He takes the glove of his free left hand and runs over the pockets of his belt, making certain anything he needs for utility - chiefly, ammunition - is present, and in ready supply. No flying, no rooftop hides, no tricks today in the Nautolan's toolkit. He's a shooter, pure and simple, and within the dreadnaught - their quarry - are the sort of people who don't rate much above targets. He's seen too much of what they can do in his time on the outer rim to think otherwise.

The Mandalorian in the gleaming blue Beskar stands from his tense crouch, now holding a grip to steady himself as he waits for the shuttle to make its way in - relying on the boarding party to get the bay door open. He rolls his shoulders, trying to stay loose; the Kora sigil on his right pauldron rolls with him, a slow fist pump. Zelo Parrai is ready for it.

Avery calmly watches the silent approach to the Dreadnaught from just outside the cockpit where he stands. The Mandalorian Slicer leans against the frame of the entrance with a forearm pressed against the wall above his head, his other hand fiddling with some contraption to pass the time. A freshly trimmed beard decorates his cheeks and jaw as he peers out into space, his smoke colored T-Visor helmet clipped to the side of his belt. "That's a lot bigger of a ship than I was expecting..." The lift of one shoulder accompanies a small smirk that graces his lips, "About as well defended as I had imagined though."

The dark emerald eyes of the former Stormtrooper slide over the team in the shuttle, hopeful smiles and a nod given to each save the one he doesn't know. An eyebrow lifts at the Mandalorian he hadn't met prior to boarding the ship for the mission, his gaze dragging up and down over the battle-scarred armor. "You said your name was Gor, yeah? I'm Avery." He reminds the man in green and red, a small smile stretching his lips wider when he gives him a nod, recognition for those about to join in battle.

After the brief exchange, he pokes his head back into the cockpit to peer out into the void again. "Think he'll get the hangar open, Sumi?" He asks, more for conversation than actual doubt, he's never known Hadrix to fail in much of anything, less so anything combat related... if it needs doing, it'll happen one way or another... explosives may be involved at times. After a few heartbeats, he unclips the helmet from his belt and secures it over his head, systems flaring to life while the HUD comes online.

The BHG had gone to great lengths to get this far with this plan. Boba wished to see it through to the end. To that measure he was here inside of the boarding shuttle with the other non_EVA equipped members of this strike team. He had been i nthe cockpit talking to the flight crew, but had then migrated to the back of the shuttle where he sat alone in a chair with his helmet resting on his lap and his eyes forward.

Boba's eyes are forward and his ears just taking in the sounds of the situation, waiting for the shuttle crew to land them inside once things progress. At some point, you have to sit back and let the plan unfold, and just be.. patient. So the BHG Guildmaster sits there, mostly like a stoic statue, in the dim of the passenger compartment.

Avery's introduction has him move though,a nd he looks toward the other and nods once. "It is good to have you with us. The help will go a long way." He says in his gruff voice, laced with a native accent to Concord Dawn.

<"For someone raised from childhood to be special forces, it should be nothing more than another day in the office."> Sumi replies, not even a hitch to her tone which conveyed her confidence in Hadrix. Flipping to the secure comms, Sumi responds to the graveled tone core-world accented soldier planted aboard the Dreadnaught. <<"Just flip the manual override for the hangar and find cover. Likely to draw attention, but we'll be in there in a few moments to take care of that.">>

The R2 unit in the cockpit begins to waddle from side to side, whining/droid-speaking its completion of the micro-jump coordinates. They had a window to make before the droid would have to do it again because of asteroid drift.

<<"Two minute window, Hadrix. Get it done. We're beginning our approach.">>

Sumi reaches over to flip a switch that put out a silent, encrypted signal to the other vessels. It was time. <"Everyone, hang on to something, I hate micro-jumps.."> Sumi pulled back on the lever and their view began to elongate as the computer input the coordinates and the engines ZIIIIPPPED them from view.

Inside the DREADNAUGHT, Hadrix spotted the manual override. In the empty hangar bay, it was by the large bay door. A tall switch that had to be pulled down at each side to trigger the bay doors to open. One switch read, PULL FIRST, because it initiated the ray barrier that kept the pressure. The other switch, obviously opened the door, but without the ray activated, the door opening prematurely would only vent the hangar bay completely.

There were no personnel in the hangar bay at this time, but there were clamped down crates of munitions and unused materials intended for more maintenance of the vessel. It was strewn in a manner that it could double as cover from the interior hatch that led further into the vessel.

Another day at the office indeed. If it weren't integral for quiet, sealed suit or not, Hadrix might even have an urge to hum while he gets to the consoles <<"Ret'lini, Ori'Sumi.">> Just in case. Maybe that's where Plan Besh came from among Kora. Perusing the controls, the two levers and motioning to have Gripper move for any available droid interface she can find.

<<"Good thing I'm alone here, pretty complicated mechanism setup. Going to have to engage some special breech operations they didn't even teach Avery I think.">> trying to keep the grin out of his voice as he mag-locks his boots... Ret'lini. Just in case. The first switch is throne, moved to keep it from clattering or clunking to hard.

<<"Masterful.">> the droids own deep-core accented, synthetic, voice chiming in while she checks systems and the second switch is pulled after confirming the atmospheric shields were properly engaged. <<"Dastardly security systems here, I think even Zee would have had trouble.">> the droid looks towards Hadrix, shaking her torso slightly.

The rumbling rattle and growl of hangar doors being engaged filling the hangar and the big man nods to the droid, <"Ba'slan shev'la."> Strategic disappearance. The pair melting back to the shadows the moment his boots unlock again.

Restless, Zelo crosses the compartment towards the ramp, making certain to give Avery a wide berth - their issues still hanging in the air, both unresolved and unaddressed since Dxun. The Nautolan's only got a mind for the battle to come. When the Alor calls to get a grip, Zelo obeys, letting the precious E-11 lower to hang on its sling while he curls his right arm through a handgrip on the bulkhead. H-visor turns to look towards Gor Bullets, a man with whom Zelo has served once before - who pays well, and acquits himself more than capable on the battlefield.

<"Thank you for the opportunity to work with your organization again, sir."> That's all there's time to add, and all that's needed before the lurch of the engines and the stomach-drop of a micro-jump stills the vocoded voice. Any second now... Zelo will be ready when the ramp opens.

Avery laces his hand around the frame of the doorway and braces his feet on the floor, preparing himself for the micro-jump to come. <"Could be worse, I suppose..."> he had been trying to get back into his optimistic ways as of late though, truthfully, the words that left his lips were lies... he hated micro-jumps as well. An unseen grin stretches across the Slicer's lips when Hadrix's voice fills the comms. <<"If by 'special breach operations' you mean 'explosives'... then no, they did not.">> As mentioned before... sometimes Hadrix likes to make things go boom.

Though he sees Zelo's intentional wide clearance from the corner of his eyes, he pointedly ignores the man though the turn of his gut isn't able to ignore the armor he wears. So much for positivity, he thinks as his lips twist into an ugly frown. There's not much time to ruminate on things as the stretch of the stars reflected in the black of his visor announces the micro-jump's arrival. He simply grips the wall tighter and focuses on what's to come.

A red light comes on above Boba's head, it circling around leaving a red light followed by a shadow that casts down upon the BHG Guildmaster. The landing warning coming to them in the passenger area. With that given, the aging hunter raises his Journeyman helmet up over his bald head and lowers it down until it seals over his face. His visor covered eyes go to Zelo then as he stands up and nods once.

"There is an unending supply of criminals that need to be brought down." He states through his helmet's vocalizer. "So I am sure you will have plenty of chances to help us, if you wish to."

His right gloved hand reaches for his holstered blaster pistol and he prepares to disembark the ship...

The trio of vessels arrive just beside the Dreadnaught in a sudden series of bright flashes just as the doors to the hangar bay slide open and the BRIGHT blue of the ray shimmer brilliantly in view. <"Hang on!"> Sumi yells, hitting the afterburner to beat the shields rising up. She doesn't beat them, but her angle is enough to dive below them and put them close to the hangar, the vessel shaking violently as a result.

No sooner had the boarding team gotten the door open did the alarm within sound. A long drawn out alarm that brought to life the lights in the hangar. Hadrix didn't have long to find cover before the internal hatch was opening and some 10 pirates poured in, fanning out to look for possible intruders.

They found them.

Sumi's vessel came in first, the U-Wing twisting once inside for a hasty landing. The jerk from the sudden stop came from Sumi crying out as she forced the throttle back and initiated the repulsorlifts simultaneously, a trick she had learned from watching Kora's ace pilot, Evie! Landing struts came out and Sumi set them down, giving the group COVER so they could engage as soon as they got out from an advantageous place. <<"We're here.">> Sumi comments unceremoniously to Hadrix. Slapping down a series of switches, Sumi began to power the ship down. <"You're good to breach, people!">

Ten (10) pirates are closing in on Sumi's vessel, weapons drawn, intending harm. Now it's time to do what we do best.

Some things work better than one could expect. With pirates pouring into the hangar and focusing on the boarding craft. Hadrix is out of cover like a shot, closing distance and finding one poor hutt-sucker looking up in shock when the dark armored Mandalorian is bringing his knee up into their stomach.

That worked the way it should at least.

The pirate's call of surprise goes to plan. To rocket-darts from the launcher fire, sending the marauder hurtling backwards but then the realization dawns, <<"Gripper you didn't calibrate the warhead arming proximity.">> <<"That's not my job!">> <<"I told you to do it!">> snarling into comms, the big man witnesses the Flight of the Pirate but no kaboom. There's no armor shat-ter-ring... kabo-oo-om. Head shaking, but at least his blade and pistol are still in his fists, held at ready as balance is regained.

<"If it's pirates, slavers, bandits, or warlords, I'll be there."> The Mandalorian gets one more reply out after his stomach returns to its normal position. Zelo's grip is locked in and he holds firm as the ship performs some fantastic maneuvers to make it in ahead of a shield. As they slip right into the cargo bay, the second the ramp is open, he leaps at it, charging up before it's charging down, the E-11 swung up on his sling and raised for action. As long as he can keep his footing... Landing both feet on the floor of the hangar, Zelo runs to the side, out of the way of the others in the shuttle before dropping to a knee and beginning fire. He catches one pirate on the shoulder, knocking them off balance and ruining at least part of their day, while the second shot hits a fresh target between the eyes - or near enough in the aftermath. No hesitation for these foes.

<"Nice job with the doors, sir,"> the Nautolan calls to the Kora Al'verde.

With the violence that happens just after they exit the jump, Avery was certainly glad for his grip on the doorframe. The rattling and spinning of the U-wing is enough that it almost throws him off his feet, suddenly very grateful when the others rush toward the ramp and Zelo looses fire on the pirates ahead.

Avery retrieves the E-11 from his back, bringing the carbine around to bear on the rushing pirates as they fill the hangar bay. He first draws down on the one Zelo winged, planting a fresh bolt of red plasma in the man's chest to send him flipping backward over some crates. <"Got'cher back."> The smoke colored Mandalorian informs Zelo, pushing past him to sight on the unfortunate recipient of Hadrix's rocket-knee. That pirate also becomes airborne as another red bolt leaps from the E-11 and catches him square in the torso, his body lifelessly rag-dolling across the floor. <"Thanks for inviting us in! And what a party you've brought us!"> Avery calls excitedly to Hadrix, the smirk plastered on his lips present in his voice.

Boba holds on to the ship via a metal hook hanging from the ceiling of the passenger compartment. The landing is, interesting, but accomplished and his gloved hand drops when the ship settles. He draws his blaster pistol and starts to follow the others down the ramp. The enemies are quick to be seen and he raises his blaster up to start to track one, until another pirate jumps out from behind a crate near to where he is.

Boba lays in to this pirate with his Westar, firing multiple times before the pirate drops to the deck and gets an additional shot in to his chest as the Guildmaster walks past him where he's laying on the deck. Fett's visored eyes look around now for a new target as the fighting begins.

Somedays you're racing across the desert, trying to outpace everyone else in a pod racer... other days you're on a ship loaded with the deadliest of compatriots, with blaster bolts and slugs about to fly throught he air. Yesterday was the former. Today is the latter. Evennia Kora's been fairly quiet on the trip over. Psyching herself up for the moment. Space was still more her forte than land, so she had to make sure she was in the right mindset for what was about to happen.

When Sumi announces their landing? She's up to her feet, pulling her rifle -- a way for a fallen sister to remain present in this and future battles -- into her arms. It was time for war.

<<"Sounds like you're volunteering us for a few more jobs, vod.">> chimes Evie to Zelo; no matter the battlefield, the man's chosen family would be there, afterall. It's a moment later that she's targetting one of the many pirates on the field ahead, stablizing the weapon along her arm... and giving the trigger a quick squeeze. A loud 'BANG' accompanies the slug being launched from the weapon and very quickly into her target. It may not have been a kill shot... but it's certainly one the man, nor his armor, would forget any time soon.

Sumi is the last off the ship, but she comes tearing down the ramp like a banshee and immediately takes to the air, her jetpack igniting with a roar. The poor Pirate that crossed her path happened to be the one in the center of the hangar. There was no graceful landing; she collided with them and that splayed out across the deck, sliding, their armor sparking. Sumi chuckles when they come to a stop, sprawling and taking a cross-mount so she can stab this poor soul not once, but twice through the gap in their armor. She yanks the dirk free, releasing an arterial spray of bright blood from her victim, and rises up to chase another. <"Hahaha.">

Four of the remaining Five fight back, retreating as they do so to put distance between them and the Mandalorians. Sumi, Avery, and Evie find themselves the topic of their gunfire. Sumi charges after them, yelling <"TEMPO!"> A reminder that the success of their mission relied on their ability to keep the enemy on their toes. Every second spent holding back was given to advantage to their foe.

Nearby, a Pirate's commlink has gone loud and someone is screaming. <<"WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN THERE?! WE DON'T HAVE THE MEN FOR THIS!.. CUT OFF THE CORRIDOR TO THE LIFTS.. I KNOW WE HAVE A SKELETON CREW.. DO IT.. I'M CALLING FOR ALL VESSELS TO RETURN TO HELP US. WE CANNOT LOSE THIS SHIP!">> The commlink cut out.

<"Secret techniques of Aurek-Osk, Zelo."> pausing when the westar's gold bolts remove a pirate. Not kill. The poor kriffer has ceased to be. Saves on body detail, and slagging such a decreasing amount of person and then tha final tap. <"Can appreciate the thoroughness of that, Mr. Bullet."> an appreciative nod for the gunplay.

Stalking towards his next target, <"Well they lay out an osik spread, but the dance music was too much not t'let the rest of you know to join the party.">, fast field march turning into a jog, pistol held pointed upright close to his shoulder pauldron and blade coming in on a side arc to be parried by his retreating target, clattering off a forearm guard, hypersonic blade skittering and sparking before it comes back down hard on Hadrix's quarry's shoulder.

The slug-pistol barks next, brought down to finish the job only for the big man to find the pirate's other arm up and throwing his aim to one side. <"Well then..."> an appreciative tone? Maybe.

Zelo turns to watch Avery as he runs past. <"Copy that, appreciated."> Well, that was something. Something the sniper would have to think more on later, even as Sumi goes flying past. For now, there are still enemies to deal with. As he wonders what Aurek-Osk means and the secrets held there-in, the sights of the masterfully-adjusted E-11 find another target. Rathe had impressed upon him the importance of reducing the number of enemies in a fit state to fight, over sweeping the field, and the Nautolan continues that work. However, shooting to kill is the same priority as one pirate goes down with plasma to their neck and the next grows a large burn hole center math. <"That's two more down,"> he calls out, looking to see where this return fire is ending up.

"All of theirs, none of ours." Without the vocoder, Zelo's motto is repeated in the bounds of his gleaming-blue helm. Everyone goes home today. So far... So good.

Avery slides in behind Hadrix with sudden and surprising swiftness, a slight strand of smoke still seeping from the source of his previous shots. <"Don't think they were expecting this."> He remarks, popping up to pepper the remaining pirates with perilous but pointless plasma, the point of his attacks plunging wide, pockmarking packages instead of people.

The fight had gone their way almost exceptionally well, save the hits to Evie that he registered out of the side of his vision. <"You alright?!"> He calls to her, the notable burns on her armor visible even from his distance away. Avery streaks over to another protected vantage point, watching as the rest of the squad bring down their foes.

Boba advances with the rest, Sumi literally flying over his shoulder as they go. He doesn't look after her though, or any of them, they are moving in on the pirates and the pirates are what get his primary focus.

Boba does track the blaster fire, however, and when he sees one of the pirates take an injury he takes that chance to finish them off. His blaster comes up and he snaps another bolt from it in to the pirate's chest. He turns them, and with heavy footfalls, aims his blaster at the further away targets, firing again, but both of his blaster bolts zip past the pirates before others try to deal with them as well.

<"We're doing good. Keep it up."> Fett says over the team comm.

She lands a shot... the other side lands two. Each blaster bolt staggers her motion, first the one that strikes her arm, then the one that scores against her midsection. There's a yelp of pain -- Evie was always the expressive sort, afterall -- but she's still upright. <<"I'm... ngh, still good. Still fighting. Worry later, shoot now.">> comes the response to Avery.

It was a stubbornness earned from many of Kylo Ren's ground missions. She had learned that toughness from the best. That the mission came first. It was different around her clan -- but she knew she wasn't critical. The wounds hurt, but the enemy numbers were low. It could wait, and had to be repaid in kind. Holding her wounded arm rigid and using it as a brace, she grits her teeth and aims towards another pirate -- this one doesn't damage the armor like the last, but it does escort the man to... well. Wherever death takes people like him. She doesn't intend to find out anytime soon.

...but she certainly plans to keep sending them there.

Sumi chases after the final target, who has all but scrambled back out the hatch he came from. Sumi misses him twice, sparking her blade off the bulkhead and threshold, and each time the pirate yelps. He runs from her, down the corridor to the lifts where temporary cover has been deployed and a fresh squad of pirates wait for them, cutting them off from the lifts.

What the pirates did not anticipate was a two-pronged attack; Bossk's group had landed in a different hangar and had just arrived in the corridor on the OTHER side of the lift, effectively trapping the pirates between Bullet's group and Bossk's.

'THOOOOOOOOMP' was the noise of Bossk's cannister rifle firing within the enclosed corridor, and the green haze from the splash of the cannister proved devastating for his prey. They screamed in agony as the acid began to melt their armor and flesh. Three are claimed by the attack before Bossk's voice sounds over the comms. <<"THe sssssssssssssscorekeeper isssss pleeeeeeeezsssssed, Mr.---Bullet. Haaaa haa.">> The Trandoshan cycles his weapon ejecting the empty shell to feed another into the breach after plucking it from his bandolier. <<"ENssssure your ..fil-tration...isssss activated.">> Bossk adds after, clamping the rifle shut with a sense of experienced mastery. The tall hunter motions his group to join the fray.

Evie is hit. Tempo. If she's still standing, she'll still be fighting. It's a breech and bang sort of situation and holding for medic work, <<"Call out if you need patching, Evie.">> the distinctive sound of the launcher followed by the Trandoshan's voice causing his head to shake.

<<"Avery with me and Sumi, Mr. Bullet and Zelo - continue long range. Targets of opportunity.">> right towards the mass attempting to protect the lifts he goes. Pistol muzzle flashing once and the slug sparking off of a bulkhead behind his quarry, again hitting the ground by their feet. The laugh bubbling up from the ne'er do well enough that Hadrix's external speakers to warble with distortion as he roars and brings the vibro blade forward.

Punching through armor, flesh and spine before the big man lifts the poor bugger off their feet. Helmet slamming into the brow of the dying man, vibroswrd twisting and being wrenched to the side, slashing through sinew even as he is cast aside to skid along the deck leaving a red trail and Hadrix looming forward, blood spattered like some horror story of the Old Republic.

Evie Kora. That's the injured, he sees her now. Not bad, but... Not great either. Rising from the knee of his shooting stance, he walks - carbine still at the ready - to take up a position beside the flying ace, kneeling again. <"Evie, I'm going to give you a little extra cover, if you don't mind. I'm afraid I know nothing of wound treatment."> He doesn't glance at her, but he'll shove off if she shoves him as such.

Again on the knee, sitting back on his heel and steadying his aim with the other knee, Zelo cracks off another couple of shots, firing into the corridor as part of the rock holding those pirates to the hard place. His first shot finds a somewhat nervous pirate, trying to lay some fire in their direction and taking a bolt to the heart for his trouble. His second is a little wide as he leans out of the way of some loose blaster fire, only taking out the shoulder of the second target, setting him into a spin. Well, it's good enough for now.

With the sinister look of those canisters and the agonizing way the pirates melted, Avery presses a button on his wrist to ensure that, in fact, the filtration system was cycling on his Doomseeker armor. <<"Copy!">> The Slicer calls back in return to Hadrix's call, slipping up from behind his cover to move in tandem with the big Mandalorian. More pirates make themselves known and seem to be in the group's way, the lot of them preventing their approach to the lifts beyond. <"You're in the way! If you could just move aside? No?"> The deep grey helmet shifts from side to side in a reproachful sort of movement. <"They never want to comply..."> He announces with a sigh, lifting the E-11 to bring another target into scope.

The target makes himself known rather quickly, the pirate Zelo set to spinning drawing his attention. A squeeze of the trigger, a red bolt send flying, and the pirate continued in a formless spin, the hapless human being twirled like a top. The second of his targets was just unlucky, popping their head up to get a good view, drawing Avery's attention and making his curious look his last.

<"Subtle."> Fett replies to Bossk, dryly.

They advance forward as the pirates make their apperance and Boba steps back behind cover to fire his wielded shotgun! The blaster shotty fires off with a big boom of all its small blaster bolts, but they all zip past their target and slam in to the bulkhead with a shower of sparks that splashes out across the deck plating of the ship.

From his cover, Fett looks to the others and then to their pirate enemies. <"Out of grenades. Keep suppressing fire on them."> He didn't bring his grenades on this mission because grenades and space ships... but he's starting to regret that.

<<"I'm good, vod. Just have to...">> Evie's voice is cut off momentarily as she sucks air in a little hard. <<"...not get hit next time.">> the Kuati-born Mandalorian replies. Her sense of humor's still intact, and her brain knows that pulling back at this point isn't her option. She's hurting, but it's not critical. Nothing she hasn't fought through. If she were following Kylo today, she'd be struck down if she refused to.

She doesn't refuse, though. Not out of fear of that lightsaber, but confidence in her clan. They wouldn't leave her hanging out to dry. Her confidence is rewarded as Zelo steps close. <<"Just don't get in the way of my shots, and you won't hear me complain, Zelo!">> replies Evie -- taking a step back and down to her knee in the process. It was easier to keep herself stable, and easier to use the cover provided by the Nautolan that way. Unfortunately? The sudden movement also causes the blood to rush to her head a little too quickly, and that throws her aim, causing the slug to ricochet harmlessly down the corridor. <<"Ugh! Stay... still, would you?!">>

Yes, Evie. The pirates are going to listen and stay still so you can shoot them, just because you asked.

Another canister splashes over the region of the corridor where the pirates fought for their lives. The acid takes affect, and the pirates begin to lose their gumption and choke. As the haze begins to clear, thanks to the ship's automated filtration system, the pirates were all laid out on the ground. Those that lived, did not live for long. They choked and gargled, and crawled, then died.

"That issssssss that, haaaa haa." Bossk says whilst reloading their weapon. He discards the steaming empty shell of the grenade aside, clanking against the deck, and feeds a new one into the breach. "We will clear the hangarsssss. Aurra isssss further down." Bossk says to Bullet, not waiting for validation or a reply to move on. The heavy Trandoshan thunders by, his steps distinct and scraping from the way his foot claws marred the dull decking. The hunters with him followed closely, letting Bossk set their pace.

Sumi plucks up a keycard from one of the dead and slides it across the terminal for the lift. The doors part with a DING, and she chuckles. <"Going up..">

The lift ride was relatively slow, and there was subtle music. It was an ancient selection, but catchy still. Sumi fed rounds into the revolver's breach before spinning the chamber creating a series of clicks before clamping it shut.

DING. The lift arrives at the bridge.

The bridge is a massive place, with weapons stations, comm, tactical, a pilot's section, internal surveillance, and even a corridor for escape pods. Dominating the front most portion of the room were the ancient Imperial styled tranparisteel windows with a view of the dagger like body of the dreadnaught. Within view, even from as far back as the lift, they could see ships arriving from hyperspace. A skeleton crew of pirates seem surprised to see the Mandalorians, but they move into position to intercept with blasters in hand. One of them, clearly the Captain, commands they hold out. "Help is arriving in system!"

Five (5) Pirates hold down the bridge, and a small fleet is arriving outside to take the ship back!

Pistol holstered, blade on his back, the old carbine was out. Small enough for free hands if he had to throw a punch, or a grenade, but powerful enough for front line use.

<<"I can't believe they made casual listening out of this. This is Lament of the Starbound Empress. This is some of the best operatic production that Hapes ever produced... And they made an elevator jingle out of it?">> Grumbling over comms, sounding angrier about this than his battlefield issues on this operation.

The blaster whines as it charges up, a whirring sound following while he continues, <<"What sort of savages are these hutuun to do this to a principle classic of the Flight and Aspiration genre... making it into some sort of...">> the doors open to the cavernous command deck, with pirates preparing to fire on them and Hadrix's comms switching to external, <"You shabla roba-kriffers! This is an absolute outrage."> pointing behind him to the lift as he opens fire, spinning one to crash against a console, and another short sings past the shoulder of another with the distinct SHU-CHEW! SHU-CHEW! of E-11 fire.

<"Sons of bitches...">

Zelo does his best to stay out of Evie's way, while being in the pirate's way if they had sighted on her. Soon it was moot as an acid cannister from the other side of the dead zone finishes the pirates off. Rising, he looks to Evie as the big man sees to her wounds, before moving up to catch the elevator. Within, as the music plays, Zelo again lowers to take a knee, pressing the barrel of the E-11 against the door, outwards. When the doors open, Hadrix takes the lead outward and Zelo immediately aims for targets from the miniscule cover of the Elevator's panel. One pirate falls with a plasma-burning chest and the next target loses its head. <"Two more down. Also, I like this one,"> He adds, more to himself than anyone else under the din of battle. Best to make quick work before the backup arrives.

The Mandalorian Slicer gives a wide berth to the demented lizard man, his visor following him for a short time after he passes by. <"I'm a big fan of ridding the universe of filth as much as the next trained killer... but I think that fellow enjoys it too much."> Avery remarks, stepping onto the lift and ejecting the nearly spent cartridge from his E-11, reaching behind to his Utility Belt for a fresh one.

The music is rather catchy and the green-eyed man can't help but bop in time to the beat as they rise, a slow grin stretching across his face as he appreciates the rhythm. <"I dunno, I like it too, I think it's pretty good. Do you know who this is, who's playing it?"> He asks, the doors popping open shortly after his musing is given. <"I wonder if they know.... Excuse me, do any of you know who that was playing in the lift?!"> He calls out as he looses a shot wide, rushing out behind Hadrix to find cover while wild firing a second. Not that they'd be able to answer with all the blaster fire resulting in most of their lives being lifted.

With the lifts cleared, Fett joins the others in front of the doors that Sumi gets open. He takes a step to the side to let others board the lift first before he enters in after them. He steps in an open spot and slides the shotgun blaster back on to his shoulder before he takes the old westar out of its holster again and takes a second to turn it over in his hand to stare at it. Its a bit banged up, and it lost its twin years upon years ago, but it was still rolling.

He lowers the blaster down to his side and levels his helmet. The music is noted and he glances at Hadrix when the man comments on it, but he just looks toward the lift doors again.

Until they open and they all head out, it isn't but a few footfalls later that the fighting starts again and Boba fires on one of the injured pirates to finish them off before he steps to cover and ducks out to take two more shots, one missing and the second landing perfectly against the pirate's neck!

<"Looks like we've got company outside."> Fett's monotone voice says over the team comms.

<<"Starbound Empress?">> Evie chirps back towards Hadrix after his commentary on the elevator music. With her wounds feeling better than they did earlier, the cheer is starting to return to her voice. <<"Nice of the Hapans to write operas about me... I'll have to pay them them a visit to thank them someday.">> she offers.

Of course, when the elevator opens? It's back to business, and business is.. still not that good. Her shot goes wide of the target she's aiming at, and a frown creases her lips under her helmet, and one that grows deeper when Gor Bullet announces the reinforcements en route. <<"What's the play? Kill, capture, or avoid?">> There were points to be made for all of the options, of course.

Sumi fires a trio of shots landing only one that catches the poor pirate against the shoulder. The slug hits so hard it carries them right off their feet. When they rise back up as if to fight, Sumi plants her booted foot on their chest to pin them down, the smoking barrel of her handcannon leveled right in front of their face. <"I would not advise it if you wish to live."> To punctuate the threat, she locks the hammer back on the Morellian weapon. Two computers spark from her misses, but they do not seem to have an effect on the ship.. yet.

To Evie's point, Sumi upnods. <"Pilots, get to your stations up front and bring the shields online. We need people on the weapons section, bringing turrets, turbo lasers, everything this hunk has to fire on that pirate fleet. At this range, it should be devastating."> Sumi says.

<<"We're taking this corvette out for a spin, Bullet. It has a lot of weapons on it.. should prove helpful. With the way Bossk is going on about the scorekeeper, I think we may have some luck on our side.">> Comments Aurra Sing over the comms as she brings 'Old and Busted' the Marauder corvette online and launches from the bay beneath the Harrower Class Dreadnaughts ventral side.

Tactical comes to life near Fett, the holo-projected table displaying a replication of the 'battlefield' outside and marking ships.

They like this nightmare?! Hadrix's disgust is palpable at this point when others are enjoying it. Most of Hapes opera was passable at the best. But this was a true masterpiece. Turned into elevator soft-tones. Looking about for enemies and finding none remaining his blaster is dropped into the hip holster and he makes his way for a turret control station.

<"Heading for weapons, looks like dorsal starboard bank."> sliding into a seat and engaging his suit interfaces to work with what it can. <"Working on firing solutions, Sumi, Mr. Bullet."> acknowledging fire orders could come from either as he gets into position.

<"Kriffing elevator music... I wish there were more of them.">

Zelo straightens up, slinging the E-11 back into place as he emerges into the bridge they now control. The engagement is far from over though. <"Yes, Alor,"> is all the Nautolan needs to say, looking for where he can be most of service. He's not about to take flight controls ahead of someone like Evie, so he makes his way fore to another weapons bank indicating the forward turbo lasers. <"Taking up the fore array. Anything you put in the crosshairs, I'll make regret being in the system,"> he calls out to whoever is driving. Tapping quickly at the interface, he routes some of the power to bring the weapons fully online.

<"Turbo Lasers, powered up.">

No answers were forthcoming about the musicians on the lift and, as such, Avery slings his carbine with the hint of a grumpy air. <"Fine... I'll just have to look it up on the holonet."> He responds, standing up from his cover behind one of the large panel displays and shifting over to a defense station.

<"Oooooh, it's been a while since I manned one of these. It's like riding a swoop though, right? Should just pick back up where I left off..."> The slicer hopes that's the case. Accessing a panel or a system is one thing, actually using it to hit moving targets with buttons is a bit different. <"I've got starboard mid."> He states while he too drops into a seat and prepares for large laser shooting.

Witht he bridge clear, Fett slides his pistol back in to the holster on his thigh. He walkts toward the central holo display showing the battlefield as he hears Aurra start to speak from her run below.

Boba raises his hands up and removes his helmet. He holds it at his side and stares at the holographic images, that shine a dull blue glow across his armored forma nd visible face. "Sing." He says in to the comms. "We have what we came here for, time to cut a path out of here."

His eyes go up to those who are manning the stations. "Guns. Defend us. Helm. Get the hyperdrive online and prepare a jump to lightspeed. There's no reason to deal with the Poothkass when we have our prize."

<<"Music to my ears. It's been a while since I've flown something of this size, but...">> Evie remembers that last time -- it was a Star Destroyer. Of course, that particular flight didn't go too well. It was time to make up for that one. She dashes towards the helm, letting the adrenaline carry her across the bridge without stumbling. Once there? Her helmet's coming off too. Always better to see things with her own eyes.

"Prepping the hyper as we speak, Mr. Bullet. I'll get us out of here, and the boys will cut us a path." she offers, letting her voice carry as her eyes remain focused on the panels in front of her. Now, now she's in her true element.

<<"Understood. Blazing a trail.">> Sing replied. 'Old and Busted' came out from under the dreadnaught firing every cannon and laser it had on its hull. From the vantage of the bridge, the Marauder was a beacon of flashing laser light as it tore into two large ships at once, trading volley after volley and forcing the ships to swing wide.

Engines aboard the Harrower-Class came to life, giant disks of ion blue that made the ship shudder before moving. State of the art defense systems began to come to life with Mandos monitoring the controls. Tracking systems marked large ships, and once triggered, the cannons and turbo-lasers opened fire. It took so much power to fire from all sides that the lights in the bridge began to dim.

Two corvettes get caught at near point-blank range, engulfed with flames and combusting. A frigate is tagged by Sing and Bossk, but the Harrower's turbo lasers split the ship in two after a series of focused rapid fire. The ship does not explode, but it drifts apart, its stern colliding with a passing asteroid.

Sumi speaks up after removing her helm and setting it on the tactical table. Judging from the images being projected, the fleet had been paralyzed at the loss of their frigate. Those that remained were pulling back and obtaining jump vectors. "The Hutt-suckers are running away." Sumi informs everyone before regarding Fett. "What course are we setting, sir?"

Hands flying over controls, no sticks, yolks, just systems for programming firing patterns. Hadrix worked steadily until the all clear was ordered - taking a moment to track targeting systems over the bowline of one of the craft moving to flee before tapping the commit code. Turrets turn and there is a vibration in the hull with the force of weapons fire.

Outside of one viewport on the bridge, overlooking the turbolasers is a daunting sight.

Lances of green plasma that cut through shields, flash-melting duranium plates and sending it in sheets and coils to re-harden in cold vacuum as the heavy gunship then disappears into a supernova.

Zelo is also not used to only focusing on the weapons, used to putting the crosshairs where they go rather than waiting on calculations and precisely timing bursts from the massively overpowered weapons. Still, it's hard to argue with the results. One frigate wanders into that small, perfectly coordinated kill zone while fleeing, and is rewarded with another burst of lasers bright enough to turn up the Nautolan's instinct to shield his black-pool eyes, even underneath the protection of his H-visored helmet.

<"I... I'm pretty sure that was a direct hit. There's really not enough left to tell,"> the Nautolan calls out.

Avery followed the display, marking targets as they appeared, and pressing what he hoped was the fire button. Turns out it was similar to riding a swoop and the weapons leapt to life, spreading doom and destruction where ever they pleased. He too removes his helmet to set nearby, a hand running through the now unkempt beard, his eyes dancing across the display as the targets shift to the side and go dark. "That'll show em." The young Mandalorian remarks, glancing back over his shoulder at the main display to verify their success. "How're ya doin', Evie? Better?" It's silly of him to ask, really. She was behind the wheel of a large killing machine. Injured or not, a flying Evie is a happy Evie.

Boba's eyes are on the display of the holo images of battle going on outside of the ship. Though the lights from the combat are flickering in through the large viewports. He hears the comm traffic and otherwise remains motionless while standing there observing from the center console.

At the question of destination, Fett looks up and remains quiet for a second before he speaks up. "Time to pay my respects to friends, and family, and finish an old promise."

Fett's free hand reaches behind his back in to the leather pouch on the back of his hip. He detatches something and draws it out to hold it in front of him before he flips the switch on it.

In front of him a black blade extends out, glimmering with white silver edges.

"Set course for Mandalore." He gruffly commands, his eyes on the dark blade..
