Mandalorians: What is Ours is Ours

OOC Date: January 1 2021
Location: Jelucan - Jelucan System - Outer Rim
Participants: Avery Ihala Kora, Sumi Kora, Aejin, Karys, Narsai Ordo, Tara Sur, Zelo Parrai, Kirioth Kora, Rathe Versiano and Hadrix Kora as gm Clan Kora

Jelucan - The Outer Rim

A world steeped in social segregation and later Imperial influence, Valentia is the less polluted settlement, the acknowledged capital dominated by old prejudice, with few non-humans in sight and droids, with restraining tech, a symbol of wealth. No need for servants who can sleep, when one can have aid from something that needs no food and only an hour of 'rest' to be fine for a day.

The Woor'tra being used for drop craft - less attention drawn than a flotilla of smaller craft or the most notable, unique design, of the Thunderheart. The holodisplays provided by a BB unit and ID10 combining to show a man in aggrandized Imperial Naval uniform - epaulettes on the shoulders, gold chains connecting them to collars, hawk-bill cap a bright crimson with golden Imperial sigil on the front.

<<"Sekk Amroon. Following some leads Narsai caught and some of my own peeks into him - he's an original Imperial, signed up after Hoth - served a Admiral Outug who was part of the Purges. Outug is still alive, pushing eighty and has had Sekk as his right hand for decades.">> the second image shows a rail thin man of extended years but clear gene-therapy rejuvenation benefitting him in Admiral uniform.

<<"Sekk is here. But we want to know where old Warlord Outug is hiding. Outug got his dress whites from finding one of the mines on Mandalore during the purge. Which makes him a priority. Our best bet is interrogate Sekk, or buy him off. If we decide to pick him up, Rathe and I know how to get information. He doesn't advertise his location, so you'll need to dig around once we've touched down... in approximately five minutes. I'll be on station to assist as needed.">> another small pause as a map of the city appears. <<"He'll be in the noble quarter, we know that much. Might be using an assumed identity. There will be old Imperial armed troopers here, trained by the last generation. That might help too. If you find leads, send to my signal, Gripper can help triangulate with you or your droids.">>

Hadrix's voice goes quiet as the ship begins its descent through atmosphere.

After the briefing, Avery turns his head to look at Sumi, an eyebrow lifting in advance to a question unspoken. "I can slice into the systems to get information on the ground, but we'll have to find a terminal." the messy haired Mandalorian states, his gaze shifting about the rest of the crew as he talks. "But, if you all would prefer to do it another way..." he hefts one of his weapons to emphasize the point, "I'm game for that as well?" A slow grin spreads across his features after he asks. It's been a while since he's been in the field with everyone, and with such a large crew of Mandalorians on hand, the Imps don't even know what's about to hit them.

The golden helmet of Aejin rests beneath an arm, cradled in at his side. He looks across the gathering of Mandalorians, ready and eager for a battle to come. While Hadrix imparts the details of the mission, Aejin's chin dips once, though a grim frown crosses his scarred features at the impressive number of feats that the Imperial in question had accomplished. The mention of the Purge earns an even deeper frown from the Rattataki. Though as the briefing begins to come to an end, he glances toward Hadrix, another nod shared with the Al'verde before Aejin's attention turns back around to focus on the gathering of Mandalorians once more, "We took great care in infiltrating the city prior to this point. We've set a number of explosives in the city and when we are ready," Aejin explains with a sweep of his silvery-grey eyes from one Mandalorian's helmet or face to the next before he continues, "we'll trigger the demo," Aejin indicates with a gesture toward a detonator sheathed within a pouch on his utility belt. "Ideally this will draw attention away from our target area that we can operate quick and clean, then be gone before anyone realizes what's happened."

The information given brings a nod from the indigo colored helmet as Karys adjusts her belt about her waist as well. The interior is going to call for close up fun and she is not able to glide in and rain fire from above on this job. The mention of Rathe and Hadrix getting information draws the attention of her visor before she glances to Zelo. <"Lets get you set up, Zel. Foot here."> She instructs him through her vocoder as they stand at the edge of the ships jump point.

Once Zelo is secure, Karys' gliders slide and slip into place and then she is dropping, allowng them to fall forweard as the wind catches and they begin to glide towards the roof. She zigs and zags in a silent fashion and they near the roof but do not have the height they need. They are not nearly close enough and she remarks, <"Hang on.">

She hits the gliders and they slide away as her hand touches the grav belt to ready herself as her arm tightens about his waist as he hugs her side. They plummet those last twenty feet or so to the roof and as the last few she hits the belt which buoys them. They bob before hitting and then the belt is off and they thunk softly down.

<"Sniper deployed"> She says, releasing him to give his helmet a tap with her glove. <"Calling targets for you. Good luck.">

Sniper dropped Karys runs for the edge of the building and leaps into the air, gun drawn as the gliders slide back into place and she becomes a quiet shadow of death.

Jelucan was well segregated before the Imperial Annex. It had been a frontier world where foreign people moved for salvation. Sumi always wondered what this misty, cold-ass rock had that said salvation, but that revelation came following its annex and subsequent strip mining. Much of the quarters here remained the same. First Worlder, the proud and prejudice working class stayed to themselves and found work (Proud or not) in the mines. The noble class was home to the second worlders, those who came after the First worlders. Their caste were known oathbreakers, people untrue to their commitments and each other. They preferred their own idea of a proud life, suffering as managers and high echelon corporate gurus, hedonistic, and always chasing lives of luxury. That was more Sumi's game and something she could certainly appreciate.

Sumi spent the brief looking out the view port, glancing only when the images of the respective officers were viewed. She stayed quiet there after to listen to the others speak. When Avery mentioned hacking, Sumi nodded. <"We've an advantage to using the noble quarter. Despite Imperial management, they are far more accepting of outsiders than the first worlder work camps. Finding a terminal might be our only obstacle initially, but a welcomed approach over kicking in doors stirring drek up. I'm normally /for/ that, but I don't rekk around with Imperials; /especially/ old ones. They are truly sinister. I know, first hand.">

Sumi prepped her E-11, switching its saftey off and adjusting its incendiary setting to prime the receiver with a distinct high-pitched whine. She attached the weapon to a one-point sling which hangs off her right shoulder, and she made certain her cape concealed it by keeping it pressed to her ribs. Lastly, a satchel of boomer balls was oriented to her back, and kept at hand in the event they came across technicals or mechanicals that needed to be disabled in a rush.

With everything ready, Sumi looked for the exit ramp and waited for their ship to land so she might mingle with the locals. It had been nearly fifty cycles since she'd been to Jelucan, and that had been along side the only true love of her life, Alor Sana Ryder. Sumi had no hope that the errant Alor was still here.

"Our priorities are interrogation and extraction," Narsai speaks as she checks her armor over one last time, lifting the Beskar'gam protection and sealing it over her head. <<"My own views on the Empire are pretty well known, and if these are truely 'True Believers' they may have certain reactions to seeeing A Mandalorian in the open. They'll be anxious, some may be looking for a fight, some may decide to indulge in the bounty on our Beskar. We stick together, cover each other and noone is left behind on this world.">>

The woman in red leaves her weapons holstered for now, but the woman shrugs her shoulders. <<"If all else fails, I can think of at least one way to get the Empire's attention.">>

<<"I hate shabla Imps.">> Tara tilts her head, rolling her shoulders a bit and stretching as she gets ready for drop. <<"I'll let you take the lead, Narsai. Slightly easier to not just vape the di'kuts if I don't have to do the talking.">> Of course, there might not be any shooting at all. In which case it's just a bunch of Mandoade having a stroll.

There is a long considering look towards the image floating before them. <<"Ugh, he's worse than a Prakith Peacock during breeding season. Turn down that brightness? Regardless, correct. Medical Interrogation is highly effective.">> Rathe comments idly for them all, his tone not cocky, just matter of fact. Some here likely still have some memories of Rathe at work. Rathe casually drapes his left forearm on Karys' shoulder, and starts using her as a leaning post. His visor stays focused on the image of the map.

Fingers snap and he gestures at Avery. <<"Attaboy, slicing for the indirect route. I do not disapprove, as much as I love being death from above. This is... well. I'd hate for us to get it wrong, and crash some poor relaxing folk in a lounge on error.">> He looks towards Karys now, straightening as she has deploment to consider. <<"Between Karys and Avery, there's much more intel to be gained. Maybe some schematics for a the optimal way in...">>

Once Karys has gotten the dedicated Marksman on the ground. Rathe paces a little back and forth, pausing only as Aejin speaks up on demolitions. <<"Definitely cannot go kaboom while we are there, right?">> Rathe probably should not have asked. He's already adjusting his duelists cape about him as Sumi speaks up to being a little more subtle, a visor glance at Narsai as she speaks and seals up. Rathe turns attention towards checking his gear, his usual pre-mission routine. Medpack, reloads, weapons, armor all checked with more of a touch than a look.

Zelo, guns strapped to his back, follows Karys' instructions to the letter, still not having had a great series of experiences with falling or flying outside of a ship. This experience doesn't necessarily ease his tension, but the cavalier calm with which he is ferried to the rooftop is enough to let his nerves slip away. Karys Kora's cartainty is infectious and his Nautolan stomach settles as his feet touch down. <"Roger that, I have your back."> He takes out and begins assembling the tripod to the barrel of his sniper rifle while he finds an ideal hide, blocking as much of the barrel and his presence as possible from other angles but giving him room to watch and spot for friendlies on the ground. He's in his element, up high and watching closely for the first sign of trouble, ready to go loud the moment it's needed.

<"Just another day in civilization,"> He tells himself.

Roth's armor is not the right shade of white to act like an old piece of statuary in this place, so she doesn't attempt it. The snowy Mandalorian finds herself a nice spot to settle quietly into while others take up their positions around the space. <Snowball in position.> her voice states over the comms. Oh no. The Arkanian had jokes tonight. She watches from her spot and wonders what might happen first.

A pair dropped out early, and the rest remaining within - the Woor'tra -- currently operating under identification codes falsified by Gripper as the Wanderer -- drops down onto its landing pad with only cursory flyby inspections by local forces - only the radio comment,

<<"Wanderer - recognized transporting water processing and atmosphere scrubbers, your data is coming clear. Stay lawful. Valentia Security out.">>

The hatches drop for cargo, the droid workers on board beginning to off-load crates via the front cargo ramp while the bay-doors that open to under the ship, with about six feet of clearance, clear a path for others to move more clandestinely. But at least things are going smooth for a change.

Finesse.

Things are going smooth at this moment, they often do before they go hard sideways. Avery can't say he's ever been a part of a well planned mission that hasn't had at least one or two change of plans when things were no longer like a fresh jar of Jiffy. Still, stick to the plan, whatever that may be. He nods at Sumi and the rest before slipping the obsidian T-visored helmet over his head, checking the Tracker at his back, and moving down the extended ramp to plant boots on the surface.

He steps off to the side, casually watching those gathered around the ship, his HUD ticking up random readouts on those it targets. Avery does his very best to look nonchalant while waiting for the rest of the crew to file from the ship, stepping in to the side of Sumi when she clears the ship's interior. <<"I'll follow your lead, Alor.">>

<<"They'll be ready when necessary. Notify me when we need the distraction,">> Aejin answers back at the subject of demolitions-in-place to Rathe. The bucking of the ship as it touches down, followed by the cargo ramp lowering to allow for the cargo to be unloaded as their cover. As the bay doors open to allow for the drop to the landing pad below, Aejin begins to step forward. The problem is that he has forgotten how to take a step for the moment. That step forward results in a trip and over Aejin goes, falling down through the bay doors and to the landing zone below. "Hrrrnnkk!", he grunts within his helmet as he lands on his back with a clatter of durasteel armor plates, after the drop from bay to ground. There he lays for a moment, helmet turning this way and that while he tries to regain his orientation and assess his movements. Slowly the golden armored Mandalorian begins to sit upright and shift to his knees, while a gloved hand moves to push himself up from the ground.

Having left Zelo on his perch, Karys glided deeper within the city to find her own perch, still within sight of her brother. She glances his way but already her HUD is reading the spaces near her. She is leaning out, her hand gripping the edge of the roof as she squats low and tries to keep her profile low. She stops, her attention caught by something strange. Her voice lifts over the shared internal comms. <"I have possible location sighted. I see a guard, appears to be a scout trooper, old Imperial armor. He's standing and keeping watch on a balcony."> Karys spews out directions from the area the ship had landed so that the group can begin their way there. <"Moving in for a closer look on the building. Zelo, sights on the trooper."> She calls out directions to him and then is moving across the rooftops.

<"Very well,"> Sumi intones to Avery, turning her head to acknowledge him yielding to her lead. She suddenly felt a bit nervous, but she stood on the cargo lift as it lowered down and brought them into the light. Her visor's exterior washed out with reflective silver then indicative of her HUD coming online. Sumi stepped off the lift with the droids though she did not carry cargo. The ambiance of this world, of the busy port, it flooded her mind with nostalgia. Things that used to be had changed, corroded even, and the people looked even more run down. Her head turns slowly, searching for a terminal that they might make use of. Not finding one in the immediate vicinity, Sumi stepped off, her booted feet slushing through the cold mud as the lower tattered hem of her cape bounced off her heels and occasionally waved each time a frigid breath of air swept through the mountain pass and into the valley.

Tara keeps her helmet's vocoder off, voice entirely hidden behind the vac seals. <<"I'm seeing a /lot/ of kriffing security here. About a third of the street traffic. They're still showing the old flag, too.">> Hopefully her helmet mic doesn't pick up the sound of grinding teeth. <<"Spotted an Info Center. Uploading its bearing from me onto the tacmap.">>

They land quietly on a world for a change! Rathe is equally amazed and amused over this. He finishes his finally recheck of his gear, and waits for others to move pausing as Aejin makes his grand unplanned entrance and a hell of a racket. His helmet vox speaker crackles to life. <"Watch that first step."> He's moving towards the proned and now rising Mandalorian. There is a paue and he straightens first to focus on the shared frequency comms. <<"Karys, which grid is that balcony? It may help Avery speed his info search.">>

Rathe is distracted a moment, comm intel coming in first from Karys, and then Tara and Rathe takes a step, trying to keep low and under the ship profile... he totally forgot about Aejin being down there already and ends up tripping on an ankle and dropping to an armored knee skid. Not one word does he put over the comms, but there's some muffled sounds under the helmet.

Zelo takes the bearing offered and quickly spots the guard. He scans along Karys' route, noting that she is - thus far - passing unbothered. However, he moves his attention back to the guard and something strikes him as... Off. Or rather, on. <<"Karys, your path is clear. Guard acquired. Something isn't copacetic though. Those windows behind the guard aren't windows, they're display screens looping backlit curtains. I'm not sure what this means, but anyone else have a feeling about this?">> He's going over the situation in his head, but his hands are going over his gun once more, making sure that everything is ready. He has the guard in his sights and, likely, dead at the pull of a trigger. An armored finger, one fingertip exposed, rests on the trigger, ready to apply pressure at any moment.

Well, Roth found a vantage point and well...she was distracted. Is that a bird? No, that was some sort of shadow. Either way she is definitely not picking up on anything that is drawing her attention. She didn't hear the crashing of metal and groans so she's guessing Rathe didn't drop anyone or crash into a roof. Which is good. The woman keeps her position, watching and waiting.

Several port workers look to Aejin when he makes all of the noise, or at least the direction of Aejin's noice. Brows going up when they turn to one another, then to their work while figures in black uniforms with silver stars on their shoulders take greater notice - one lifting a hand to speak to her wrist, pausing when Rathe's addition to the commotion is added.

Finesse.

As Tara had pointed out, security was escalated above normal levels on other worlds and seemed to be common place for the local citizens actually out in the evening. The Info-Center noted as well is a brightly coloured afair, across an avenue from a watering hole. Neon and bright lights bathing the area in cheery glows in shades of reds and blues. Within holonet shopping, communications and data-access looks available.

In Zelo's and Karys's sights the trooper, who had looked up and just managed to look past the Indigo hued Mandalorian shifts slightly, a rifle resting in one hand, ready to be drawn while the images playing behind him continue to loop and cast light like real windows.

<<I've got a neutral feeling about this...">> He replies to Zelo, the calm of the area being some what eerie to the normally action heavy bunch. That is, until Aejin and Rathe decide to do tumble routines off the ship. <<"Look alive, ship has incoming interest.">> To the task at hand, Avery sweeps the area as he and Sumi walk, looking for those that may notice the crew advancing on the facility as well as a terminal that could be used for their purpose. He shivers lightly when a particularly chill gust of wind finds the cracks in his armor and nips at his form. The black and blue Mandalorians traipse along the muddy path 'carrying clipboards' in effect, trying to convince any onlookers that they belong right where they are.

When the call from Tara comes in, Avery pulls up the tacmap in his HUD, the info center location pinging somewhat nearby. He turns his head to Sumi and nods, casually shifting the direction of his meander to intersect with the target. <<"Roger that, we're heading that way. Will take just a bit to get there without drawing attention.">> The Mandoslicer calls over the comms, nodding in a friendly manner to a citizen that happens to glance at the two as they pass. <<"How's everyone else doing? Anyone forget to bring their thermal undies?">>

Aejin's grunt is cast toward Rathe, but it surely goes unheard within his helmet. Then there's Rathe, tripping over Aejin. The laughter must be impressively loud within his helmet, because the muffled sound of it can be heard arising from the golden armored Mandalorian even as he's knocked to his front again with Rathe and himself getting tangled up together. While down there though, Aejin's hand moves beneath himself. Presumably to push himself up anew. While down there he slides a small cylinder from his utility belt and holds it within his fist, attempting to keep it well out of sight. Slowly he pushes himself up to his feet once again and shakes out his limbs, clearly attempting to test everything out following the fall. Naturally the attention of others cast in the direction of Rathe and himself results in Aejin's visor turning to regard the onlookers, a faint nod of his helmet offered in return as though to signal that all is well following the clumsy mishap.

<<"Going in for a closer look. I see a place I can drop down. Zelo let me know if anything changes.">> She's going to lose her vantage point once she moves. Karys is quick, rising up to scuttle across the roof she is on and as her gliders are employed she jumps, freeing herself from her perch to glid across the short distance to the building in question. Her boots touch down and she moves over to the side of the door, giving herself a moment to check the pistol in her hand before she is entering the unguarded side of the building.

Going low she steps in and finds herself inside. Alone presently. <<"I am inside. Going to begin a slow search of this floor. Definitely Imperial...lots of markings.">>

When Tara spots their objective building (the Info-Center) Sumi reacts to it as Avery does and adjusts her path with the fellow. Sumi had the walk of a soldier, brisk if not for a casual swagger. To her advantage, it's not clearly obvious she even has Mando-Iron because her armor is painted, and all armors look the same with a coat of paint, right? Staying quiet, Sumi hones in on their goal without imposing a rush on their approach. Common space-faring travelers had no need to run unless there was concern. No concerns here!

Sumi begins to notice the circling of the landing zone. There's a heightened interest in their landing. Sumi marked this spot as a POINT OF INTEREST in her HUD and transmitted it. Up ahead, in the INFORMATION CENTER, there were no guards. Just a bunch of punk ass second-worlder kids messing about with the terminals available. Sorry Avery, Sumi was a poor travel companion. She was always quiet until drek popped off.

<<"Avery, I've got you covered.>> Tara locates a nook between buildings and a storage container, before leaning back against the wall and pretending to be very involved with something on the datapad integrated into her vambrace. The hunter's own armor wasn't bearing any battle damage either, so she should blend in fairly well.

First. It's time to get up. Clearly it's just one of those days for Rathe. He can hear the muffled laughter all right. Locally he mutters for Aejin alone <"Laugh it up, Cueball."> No anger in the tone, just wry observation. No point in trtying to be so subtle now, half the pad is looking their way. He does still try to shift his cape about him to minimize exposure, but it's pointless. He's pulling the Tracker off its sling to be ready since it's just going to be one of those days.

Zelo watches through the binoculars in his visor as Karys makes the infiltration cleanly, tracking her until she's inside the building. Meanwhile, his dominant eye checks the guard, who is still doing a lovely job of protecting cleverly-arrayed screens of lies and tricks. At the mark Sumi had called out, there is definitely circling activity around the ship, holding to a perimeter but definitely bearing interest. <<"Karys, guard is still in the same position, not picking up anything beyond that. I'm definitely seeing a security perimeter that seems to be closing in around the ship from up here. Preparing second firing position if covering fire is needed in that direction.">>

Zelo keeps that guard in his sight, but holds the gun in place with the pressure of the buttstock against his shoulder. His hands move to unsling the slightly smaller rifle, easing it off his shoulder and laying it out beside him with the barrel in the direction of the Woor'Tra. This may be getting interesting soon. But for now, the sniper watches a single guard, and holds his fire.

The interior of the hall where Karys is echoes and poor lighting - by present lack of use rather than intended design. Imagery of Palpatine, the palace on Coruscant, chromium Imperial stylized starbursts. Soft computer sounds whir and the occasional clatter of foot-steps echoing through the halls.

The Info-Center is a mass of bodies, utilizing technology for hologames, crank calls and other frivolous actions often spent by youth with too much privilege and not enough discipline. The constables not spying Sumi, Tara or even Avery while they move - but where Aejin and Rathe appears to have garnered notable attention by the periodic head movements and the thinning number of civilians in the landing zones of the port.

No concerns indeed, just a couple of folk in Mandalorian armor, out for a stroll in the lovely, frigid, night air. <<Roger, Tara. Sumi and I should be arriving post haste.">> He claims, their casual gait bringing them ever closer to the terminal. Avery doesn't mind the silence for once, he's a bit too preoccupied by the possibility of kicking the mission into hardmode should he put one foot out of line. But, focused on the job as he is, he still can't keep //too// quiet and decides to whistle a tune as they go.

A few more steps and the pair arrive at the terminals, nodding to the kids as they move to an open station. In one quick movement, Avery fishes his Universal Computer Interface from his utility belt, deftly pulling a wire from the device and slotting it into the terminal. As a matter of habit his T-Visor swings towards the kids, watching them for the briefest of moments to see if any regard the two Mandalorians in any light other than indifference. Once satisfied he boots the machine to life and begins the tedious work of navigating the Imperials' system, searching for the location of their target as quickly as he can go. <<"I really need to just get this installed in my armor... one thing less to carry.">> Avery remarks off-handedly while he goes about his work. <<"Ok, I'm in... give me a few and I should have something concrete.">>

For a moment Aejin's visor shifts around, sweeping itself across the landing bay and taking in the presence of civilians and security in the area. <<"Fleshmender, I think we've been noticed. They may not want to get between two feuding vod. Just go with it,"> Aejin explains quickly and promptly between himself and Rathe. It is at that moment that Aejin's gloved hand rises up and attempts to halt Rathe's passing by with palm-to-chest, like a parent preventing their child walking away. That's when Aejin's vocoder clicks to life and he can be heard stating with an annoyed voice, <"No, it's *your* fault that I fell, because *you* opened the bay doors when they *shouldn't* have been opened. We don't have any of *that* cargo to unload! If you say it's *my* fault again? You and I will be having a *real* fight!">

It is then that Aejin's palm strikes at the breastplate of Rathe's own armor and the Rattataki's visor settles squarely upon his impending opponent. The shove is given and Aejin squares off at Rathe, as though he were preparing to brawl with the other Mandalorian.

It is at the moment of the shove that Aejin's voice issues over the general comms to the entirety of the team, <<"We've got attention at the landing zone. Going to provide a distraction,">> and his thumb twitches over the detonator's simple white button.

Somewhere at the heart of the city a distinct boom can be heard erupting. It is that noise that results in Aejin promptly taking a step back from Aejin, clearly surprised by the sound and his visor turns to look around, trying to find the source of the explosion.

Nothing is currently obvious on the floor with her and thus Karys steps back out into the belcony below the floor she wants. The Skripper's climber gear is engaged, falling into her hands with a soft metallic sound as she uses it to begin scaling. The edge of one digs into the building and then the other as she hurries herself up the side, listening to comm chatter in her ear as the woman swings from one hand then the other until she claims the side of the next balcony up from her and hauls herself over, staying low to keep attention away from her. The Scout trooper is too busy watching the sudden explosions and she is given the chance.

The climbing gear is slid away as she edges up to the door and reaching up she tries to push her way inside. <<"I may have the building. Checking the top floor.">> This said to the rest of those on the comms from the silence of her HUD filled with her breathing.

The explosion has Sumi react by turning casually to look in the direction the sound came from. While her attention had been the punks around them, this new distraction would have any seasoned trooper look at the Mando's odd if they weren't looking to the trouble too. So Sumi steps forward to block Avery from view and orient herself toward the large disruption to give the appearance to any onlooker that she was honed in on whatever was going on, not covering a slicer trying to locate a high ranking Imperial remnant officer.

Having reoriented, Sumi spots a scout trooper both Zelos and Karys had called out earlier. His rifle is presented and they're actively scanning the area, likely the explosion (if Sumi had to hazard a guess). She marked them as an ACTIVE THREAT with her HUD, but does not speak it. Comms are reserved for those feeding mission data back and forth.

Tara reactivates her helmet vocoder momentarily, moving out a bit to peer at the fireballs in the distance. <"Shab... You think it's the Resistance or something, Vod? It'd be just like them to attack a peaceful planet."> Immediately cutting the external speaker agian, she retches. <<"Nope. Still feel terrible saying that. The things I do to blend in...">>

Things never go as planned, and Rathe is blinking at Aejin's comm to him on the topic of feuding vod. So he is not completely acting his surprise when Aejin plants a hand to the chestplate of his heavily modified Dreadfinder armor. The visor looks from Aejin, down to the hand on his chest, then back at the Rattaki in a can. <"Oh you moof milking son of a shrak lover! Get your damned-"> Rathe stumbles back at the shove, part acting, part expecting to be headbutted instead of shoved.

His left hand keeps grip on the Tracker, his right draws back as if to punch. Then Michael Bay-Splosions, MI-BA-BLA- SPLOSIONS!! So that surprised snap of visor towards the glow and shockwave elsewhere is not feigned either. His head shakes as the overpressure makes his helmet cut off sound a moment and put him fully on sealed environment. As a result Karys' voice is clear in his ears, and he winces as he realizes something.

<<"Karys has the building, everyones distracted. Time to do what we do.">> He'll have to comment privately to Aejin later on how quickly Aejin has adopted Kora-Finesse. His other hand drops to his tracker on the sling, and for once, Rathe takes a step and rockets perfectly. Apparently he's finally listened to Hadrix and upped his lessons as he flies almost, but not completely, flawlessly to land on Karys' balcony.

Zelo Parrai, the Nautolan Mandalorian, is not a fish out of water on this roof. A high place and his rifle... His needs on an operation are generally minimal. Trying to watch two directions at the same time, though, is something he could do without. He's continuing to lay out the E-17D next to his impromptu hide, for when time comes to shift focus and he can't get the angle he needs with The Big Gun. A decent-sized boom washes sound across the city, and for the briefest moment, Zelo is distracted. Still, his eye spots the guard's rifle raising, scanning the area in response to the explosion as it still echoes through the vicinity and he pulls the trigger out of reflex without an exhalation. His shot goes slightly wide and shatters one of the display screens, revealing a lit room beyond and white plastoid armor moving to inspect the intrusion.

<<"We have white armor in that room behind the screens. Karys, anyone moving in, multiple non-friendlies in there.">>

Roth's been waiting quietly. Watching. Making sure that things aren't going downhill. And well...loud booms make the woman uneasy. She really needed to get out more. She sees the scout though and when the time is right she rockets towards them, Beskad held at the ready and she slashes once then stabs at the trooper. It doesn't kill them, but boy do they land on the ground with a thud. The alabaster Mando lands with a thud, feet digging into the chest of the trooper as she does, <<Stay down.>> she orders as she points the Beskad at their throat, ready to ram it through if needed.

Buildings shake, dust is lifted and the closer to the detonation set off by Aejin the thicker the sudden clouds of fine particulate forming and billowing away from the pressure wave caused by the explosion. Citizens are running, covering their heads, while Law Enforcement are starting to consolidate... and then forms in gleaming white begin emerging from several buildings along the streets. Antiquated carbines in hand, sightless black armor eyelets reflecting only their surroundings.

They don't seem alerted, yet, as to where to properly search - with the silencing by Roth, who can hear momentary confusion through the holed display 'screen window' to one side of her. A blaster barrel smashing away ruined holo-display glass to allow for better view to the outside world.

The explosion pulls Avery's attention away from the screen for a second. He glances back at Sumi to make sure they're still on course and shouldn't be running or screaming or some combination of the two. With her casual shift to block him from the kids, as well as the call that came through the comms shortly before ignition, he confidently returns to his work. Either he's gotten better at system navigation or their code was a bit easier to crack, either way, in short order Avery has the location of Sekk and is marking it on their navmap. <<"Alright, found our man. Karys, Rathe, you're on the wrong building... check your HUD, the target is in the building cattycorner to you.">> With their initial part of the mission done, the line is withdrawn from the terminal jack and fed back into his UCI, the device itself returning to its home in his belt. After a moment spent appraising the situation around them, Avery changes channels on his comm to speak directly to Sumi, <<"Time to converge on the target?">> He asks, ready to follow her lead once more.

As Rathe's fist is drawn back to prepare for their faux scuffle, the explosion can be heard, and soon enough Rathe is rocketing away from the landing zone while the distraction is good. Aejin's quick to follow, his own jetpack firing and soon sending him swirling into the air. Somewhat out of control of his trajectory due to the rushed departure, Aejin comes to a rough landing on a nearby rooftop. What should have been a decent landing results in the golden armored Mandalorian dropping to the rooftop and rolling with his momentum after the jetpack cuts out. "Son of a Quarren loving Hutt sucking," he mutters out muffled to himself, alone on his new roof roost. As he pushes himself up to his feet anew, Aejin's hand begins to fish away at his utility belt with continued helmet-muttering, "Bantha sniffing," he continues muttering while he fishes an orb from his belt.

Cursing inside her helmet as the building they are at is not the one, she looks to Rathe. <"Lets go."> Open comms light up. <<"Moving to target.">> She glances to the building, taking a moment for her HUD to light up and signify the correct objective. She rushes along the balcony at a dead run. Gliders onc emore engage as she jumps up at the railing and pushes off of it with her other foot to launch herself high. The S-5 drawn out in the motions of her rush she aims for the window that she is about to crash into.

The window gives under her shot, shattering as the downward arc of her glide takes her right into the building that has been earmarked for approach. Karys lands and rolls, gliders sliding away with a flick of her finger as she takes a moment to listen. Her breathing is heavy in her ears but there is something strange. <<"Commotion in the building. What from. Unknown. Moving in to see what is going on.">>

With activity kicking up, Sumi and Avery had the advantage of moving with the crowd, a point Sumi voices to Avery specifically on their shared channel.

<<"Yes. We will stay on the ground. Move with the denizens as they avoid the troopers. We will work to the target building. It is unlikely they will leave from the rooftop when all their troopers are down here. So we need to keep them confined to the building.">>

Sumi favored the side of the street the civilians were on, bunching with them more easily because she's short! She aligns her path with the target building. With any hope, someone up top can snag an opportune shot, snatch this guy, and they can take to the air for a smooth exfil. Sumi is also experienced enough to know plans have a tendency to rekk up.

So, Sumi continues her casual approach toward the target building using Jelucani civilians as a natural point of moving concealment/cover. A casual glance goes to Avery from time to time to make sure he's still of the same mind as she.

Things are getting busy, troopers are on their way, but most importantly the target was flagged. With the others moving forwards and Sumi's call echoing her own thoughts, Narsai gives Tara a light little nod and begins to move forwards, gently easing a small weapon from its holster into her hand. So far they were undiscovered, but things may well get really hectic really fast if the troopers realise what's going on and their swift extraction the Mandalorians had planned may well have to cut through defenses fast in order to avoid their ship being followed. Held ready but inactive, Narsai keeps her grip firm as she weaves her way through the crowd towards the flagged building.

Tara matches Narsai's nod, a few eyeblinks bringing up the targeting reticle for her armor's wrist blaster while her other hand rests on her gunbelt above the well shaped grip of her Sentinel. <<"Blending in for now, making our way to you.">> With how the wrist blaster's barrels are recessed into her vambrace and with the safety on, she has no problem resting that hand on Narsai's shoulder to keep them close together.

Zelo watches the hole he put in the screen growing as Roth stands right next to it. These stormtroopers have a pesky habit of looking around when they should be walking in single file or whatever they do for fun. In his best effort to try to deter those troopers from looking out further and possibly spotting the nearly-exposed Kora, he aims at the hole he accidentally made and fires through it on purpose this time. The blaster bolt finds the trooper widening the hole and leaves them speechless, breathless, and in several discernible pieces. <<"Roth, I've got your extrication covered.">> He pulls away from the scope for a moment to scan the other rooftops before returning to cover the hole he made.

<<Much obliged.>> Roth tells Zelo on the extraction comment before she yeets herself through the window and into the fray. Her beskad lashes out first, striking a blow to the first one she comes to. Her vibrosword finishes off that target and then seeks purchase on the next. When she misses she straightens, looking at the room, <<Well...this is awkward.>> she chuckles at them.

<"BLAST 'EM!"> an age old quote, but seeming to be trademark to the soldiers of the Empire that Was. The one who had called it on the ground in the wake of Kiriroth's entry to the defense position. A monitoring station that was working passive camera scans around the building with.

Awkward, maybe, and perhaps people had been expecting that age old insult that Stormtroopers can't shoot as a shield. Maybe it was poor luck. But the remaining quartet turn on the Alabaster Mandalorian and take to heart his words as another shouts,

<"BLAST HER!"> and so a whirlwind of carbine blasts are lanced into the blade wielder.

On the streets, movements that follow with the crowd keep attention off. Stormtroopers in old armor are sweeping their gaze and blasters around the populace, helmet speakers set to riot control ordering streets cleared and pedestrians to move towards emergency shelters. Others are calling out in shock as the Woor'Tra lurches suddenly skyward, turning over backwards with directional thrusters stabilizing the craft leaping up - headed for Roth's position.

Inside, where Karys stands - red emergency lights flash, footsteps echo everywhere and muffled calls - orders or inquiries being sent back and forth.

With an affirmative nod, Avery moves with Sumi, keeping the crowd of fleeing Jelucani citizens around them as best as they can. A screaming fleeing screen is better than no screen at all, and they work their way toward the target building. He nods at his Alor when she checks to see if he's on her tail, moving casually but with purpose through the throng. Once they arrive within a stone's throw of the building, Avery scans the structure and the guards outside, his lips pulling into a thin line at the mass of white armor they encounter. <<"That's a lot of them... well, here goes everything!">> And, with a final look at his clan leader, Avery ignites his rocketpack and shoots into the air, angling toward the building behind the troopers. The obsidian Mandalorian streaks through the sky, flying over the sea of Stormtroopers to land in a skid at the door. Avery pulls the Tracker from the sling on his back and readies it in case there is any return fire. He steps inside the entrance, weapon at the ready, covering for Sumi as she makes her way inside.

"Imperial licking, Sith sniffing, Selonian cuddling pieces of," Aejin's muttering continues unabated within his helmet while he jams the Enforcer into its holster and he collects that orb from his belt. The trigger is activated, lights begin to flash, and the soft threatening whine of the thermal detonator's activation sounds off upon the rooftop. He straightens up following his poor landing, wiggles one leg out to the side as though limbering up would assist in the use of his jetpack. The sound of blaster fire erupting in the target area results in Aejin's steps becoming faster. Promptly the Rattaki begins to move forward at a hustling pace, his jetpack igniting with a roar as flames lick out from the exhuast nozzles of it. Up and up Aejin goes, twisting and spinning, but this time with a much more controlled ascent. Likely keeping his movements unpredictable that he presents a more difficult target.

The height of the golden armored Mandalorian's begins to flatten and then curve as he rolls over, his back turning up and away from the ground as Aejin's visor angles down to view the street clustered with stormtroopers below. The detonator continues to whine, the countdown reaching alarming levels. His fingers uncurl and the detonator begins to fall.

Just before it strikes the ground a flash of glaring white light illuminates the street, accompaniedy by a distinct lack of sound. Aejin's helmet shifts as his darkend visor looks from the flash. The detonator's explosion commences following the ignition and the massive explosion that follows leaves behind shadows scorched into structures, lamp posts, a speeder, and whatever else the eight vaporized stormtroopers may have been standing near at the point of detonation.

As the golden armored form drops to the rooftop opposite the one he started atop, Aejin's hand lowers back to his holster and the Enforcer there, preparing to join the fight anew.

Karys looks up, hearing the sounds above her as she narrows her gaze. Up she gets to her feet from that landing and takes off for the stairs. Taking several steps at a time and comes about to a doorway. She pauses just inside and immediately her comms open up. <<"We have contacts. Sekk is here and they are heading to the roof. I am going to engage. Death troopers present.">> Death troopers. The ex-Vanguard checks her pistol and steps forward. <"STOP RIGHT THERE!">

She lifts her gun and takes a hasty shot that slams into the chest of one of the troopers. <"Stand down!"> There is a faint growl to that vocoded voice.

Sumi took off a second after Avery, the sudden burst from her rocketpack flattening her tattered cape from the concussive propulsion. Moisture, mud, dirt, and small bits of steam suddenly evaporated from around the warrior as she bent at the knees and sprang into the air like a waiting viper, landing seconds later with Avery. Slipping in the mud, Sumi scrambled through the opened door of the target building. She pivoted once in, pieing left first then looking right. The moment Avery was through the hatch, she slapped the hatch shut and reached for a boomer, casting the blue orb of Naboo core matter against the electronics.

The splash didn't take form quite like she imagined, but it was enough to hold the hatch. <"It'll do,">> She lamented, turning her gaze then to the interior. Sumi cast her cape back revealing an arsenal of weaponry beneath its confines. Her selection was intended for close quarters: a Z6 Riot baton custom made with a mace like end, which she extended out with a snap, its serrated edges shifting out to complete its cycle of operation. Sumi primed the weapon with a circular twist, generating an electrical current that looked similar to the door in their wake, arching bolts of debilitating current humming hungrily.

<<"This is Sumi, Avery and I are in the target building. Proceeding in for acquisition.">> Sumi moved forward then with a more confident stride, holding the arching electrical baton off to one side as her cape fluttered slightly in her wake.

Well, a sealed door. They weren't getting in that way. <<"Yeah....good and gummed up,">> Narsai calls back, but it wasn't like Sumi had trapped the pair of them. A quick hand signal had Narsai gesturing for Tara to head skywards, then Narsai moves to engage her own jetpack when those first troopers came charging towards her. Narsai wasn't some mythical figure like those of the Skywalker line or some fearsome Sith. Who knows if any of these Empire purists even knew of the Order's downfall or any of the others in the galaxy. But they knew what a Mandalorian was and they knew what a lightsaber was.

As Narsai turned and ignited her blade, slicing through a pair of troopers, she was probably the stuff of a few old Stormtrooper's nightmares, that violent violet blade reflecting off her armor.

The HUD warned her of targets, of the position of the other teammates and their goal.

<<"I'll be right behind you.">>

Zelo blinks, not having expected Roth to go in. Then again, he hasn't fought with any of these Mandalorians with enough regularity to know what to expect, but he didn't expect her to fling herself through the last of the screen and into a room of five to one odds against. Her attacks were impressive, but when the troopers responded with eerily-accurate blaster fire, those black-pool Nautolan eyes grew wider. <"Kriff."> He blinks a few times and lines up his next shot. <<"Roth Kora is down in the decoy building, advise medic and possible evac. If you don't know where that is, watch the big blaster bolt, or here are some boring coordinates.">> He lists them off as he lines up his shot, but he watches the bolt go just wide of one of the remaining troopers, the slightest mistake amplified by the range from the sniper's nest.

<<"That was just a tracer.">>

Mistakes were made on Roth's end of things. Like she just threw herself into a room of enemies without a second thought. Typical Roth. The Alabastrine woman gets knocked out that window a few moments later in a symphony of blaster fire. <<Doc...>> she manages to get out before she reaches up to smack the side of her helmet to try to clear the ringing in her ears and the way her HUD is blinking in and out. Is that blood? Probably. Maybe she shouldn't do these things!

Multiple things happen at once. Rathe hesitates, Karys is on the move and his instinct is to follow her for several reasons. <"Karys?"> Rathe's helmet tilts to the side. His audio picking up the whine of SO MANY arming blasters. Then there's a volly of blaster fire. He glances at his HUD and notes an IFF tag moving incorrectly. Then he heard Roth's voice faintly.

Inaction becomes action. <"Love, you got this"> Rathe turns and takes a running leap by sheer instinct head first. His helmet moves to match his Mark I Eyeball vision to the falling icon on his HUD. His rocket pack fires and he's able to stop Roth's terminal velocity and angle them to cover. He starts working on sheer instinct. <<"Need the ship, and the act of several dieties ASAP. Roth's bad.">> He's fairly certain more of her insides are on the outside at the moment. He just works frantically. <<"I need help moving her.>>

An E-11D hits the ground next to ekk Amroon's feet, next to the trooper in black who had been cut down by the Indigo armored mandalorian. The black armored Stormtrooper turning and flat out running after the sight of how quickly his compatriot was simply gunned down. The men in gray coveralls and bulky light grey swept back dome hats drawing rifles and opening fire on her while Captain Amroon makes a hasty retreat up steps leading to roof hatches.

In the street, following a Thermal Detonator and then lightsabers coming out of myth to strike down two of their number like reeds the remaining five simply begin running, leaving their squad command in red shoulder pad alone to stand and fire on the crimson armored Mandalorian - a contrast to the golden one whom had dropped heavy ordinance from above.

The Woor'tra finishes its slow loop, shaking it but not cracking through building stone or damaging itself, <<"Rathe - Woor'tra is positioned for medi-vac...>> a fact proven as red light that casts no glow below can be seen above suddenly, the open bay doors a welcome sight and two forms in Beskar standing on the edges, blasters drawn. Curious pair. A twi'lek and an Ithorian of all species sending down drop lines.

<<"Karys, what's your position? Do you have target in sight?">> Avery calls once the doors are sealed and Sumi has announced their location and intentions. He's not terribly versed with close combat weaponry, the Tracker in his hands about as close as he can get to such a thing. The pair move together, clearing hallways and rooms as they head for the turbolift. Once they locate it, Avery and Sumi pry open the doors and the former peeks his head in to peer upward. <"Looks clear all the way up... should be able to rocket and help. I'll go first..."> The slicer comments as he steps to the edge of the shaft and clicks the button to ignite his pack.... and clicks the button to ignite his pack.... clicks the button, clicks, clicks, clicks. <"Kriff... I think I might be out or something broke loose, it's not igniting."> The young Mandalorian groans and peers back up the darkened turbolift tube, estimating his chances at climbing the sides.

From the rooftop Aejin begins to move with his Enforcer in hand. <<"Cleared a few of them. I'm moving to support medical">>, comes Aejin's answer to Rathe's call for assistance in moving a critical injury. The golden armored Mandalorian steps from the building and his jetpack fires for only a moment, just enough to slow his descent as he drops to with a slight bending of his knees to lessen the impact. Surely he'll thank himself in a few years, when he's older. The Enforcer rises up as a few white helmets begin to peer from the window and the roaring report of the Enforcer sending a distinct invitation for their helmets to stay down is given. Only then does Aejin begin to move toward Rathe as he comments from himself to the battle medic through the use of his helmet's voice amplifier, <"I'm here, tell me what to do">, he both informs and advises Rathe. He does not look to Roth immediately, but instead works to act as golden cover for medic and patient while his Enforcer sweeps target areas. When Rathe advises him just what he needs of the Rattataki, he does just that; likely helping to move to the injured alabaster Mandalorian.

The bolt sent Narsai's way by the remaining man has the Ordo girl leaning out of the way, a narrowing of her eyes as she attempts to finish off the last of the 'backup' outside so she can regroup with the others. After all, that door wouldn't stay stuck if she let the Imps have their way with it. Slashing, thrusting and striking at the remaining commander, she narrowly avoids slicing the dedicated trooper clean in two with every strike as he franticly scrambles from her blade.

<"Hold onto me,"> Sumi instructs the Mandalorian Avery. She hooks her free arm under him and clamps her hand upon his armor to have a firm grip. Looking up, Sumi narrows her vision to spot their target location and where she can see Karys' IFF indicator in her HUD. A moment for though, and Sumi activates her jetpack, generating propulsion initially to allow the pair to adjust. Then she increases the output and fire roars from the pack carrying her and Avery up the lift shaft toward the 3rd level.

From the corridor where the troopers are covering for Sekk Amroon, they look to the lift as their salvation and see that the sensors detect it rising to their floor. The hatch opens, but there's no floor to step on. A trooper peers over the ledge, commenting <"What the hell?..">

Sumi rises up with Avery a second later, striking the trooper just under the chin with her baton and knocking the poor Huttsucker to the ceiling of the corridor only to fall and smash into the flooring below, shattering plastoid armor fragments in the process (both from her hit and his subsequent trauma).

<"Ding. Third floor,"> intones the century old soldier closing off the other end of the corridor. <<"Friendlies in your lane of fire, Karys.">> Sumi releases Avery and stalks forward intent to do more harm. The poor sod she struck upon arrival remains motionless on the ground as her cape end drags over his white armored frame.

Watching as Sekk attempts to Exfil as the Death trooper stands down, Karys is quick to move. Flipping the gun to stun, she lifts it and aims it towards the fleeing Sekk. One shot. Two shot. The third lands heavily on Sekk as his body absorbs the hit.

Sumi and Avery arriving and announced draws her attention as she turns her head. Her visor reflects the two friendlies. <"Good to see you both! Our target is attempting to get away, he apparently is harder to stun than I thought."> The troopers are ignored as she tries to keep her eye on the fleeing man, her S-5 still held firmly in her hand.

Zelo sees the alabaster Roth Kora lunge out of the window and spill over, only to be caught mid-air by Rathe the war-medic who had saved his life previously. That one is always in the right place and little doubt that is much more skill than luck, the Nautolan thinks to himself as he watches blaster fire coming from the troopers in the room - far less accurate at this distance than they had been in melee. There's more more blaster fire going into the decoy can of worms Zelo himself had opened as Aejin goes to help out the doc. Thankful for some help to close this particular avenue of attacks down, Zelo continues firing through the small screen-shaped hole, another stormtrooper definitely walking that one off as a hole half the size of the window opens in its chest. <"Better,"> the sniper says to himself, already lining up the next shot.

Explosions, shots fired, leaving Karys on her own they all fade from his mind, though the latter lingers. Rathe is busy. It's bad enough he's actually pulled off his right gauntlet to clip it to his gear and work on Roth. He doesn't bother with banter, no quips, no barbs. His singular focus is stabilizing Roth... there's only so much Bacta can do for this damage. Rathe is literally field constructing and grafting an artery.

This is why he no longer takes trauma courses at the Corellian Academy and has been privately instructing them instead. He's arguably the best War Medic in the galaxy and every fiber of his being is strained maximizing every ounce of his ability right now.

<<"Copy Woor'tra">> Rathe is calm, determined on comms. Likely only Karys, Avery, and Hadrix would pick up how strained he actually is. He looks up a Aejin. <"Press hard there, there, and there... actually. Press hard there. Start loosening her armor. We'll strip her on the ship.">

Rathe continues to assess and work at the same time, the comms opened again. <<"Blasters cauterized much. But I'll need all our plasma, and every spare bag of her blood we have up there.">> This tone is almost conversational as he works. If he gets plinked, others need to know where to pick up. <<"Graft one in place">> He starts adding the plasma from his medpac to Roth. How much? Yes.

Rising from his knees,, he's grabbing for the drop cables to hoist Roth.. And only when Roth is up in the hold does he launch up to join the Twi'lek and Italian. They get an absent nod. He gets back to work. <"Aejin. Cold storage. All the plasma, and her bags of blood are marked. Need them yesterday. And Hadrix's trauma bag.">

Numbers thinning with the explosive arrival of Sumi and Avery, blaster fire is aimed their way as well as Karys by the Imperial infantry desperately trying to buy their commander time when he is struck by the stun ring that forces him to all fours while he ascends, scrabbling for purchase and barely keeping it. Held at bay at the mid-way point of his intended exit.

Madness reigns in the city below - talk of Jedi, Mandalorians, thermal detonations and comm-signals suddenly cutting off left and right. A panicked hop backwards, a scrabbling shuffle step and a near tumble to the ground comes while Narsai's quarry tries to get distance - firing blindly at her and sending his shot well over her shoulder in his mad attempt to keep her away from him.

Above, while Rathe and Roth are medevac'd blaster fire continues to surge back and forth at Zelo's sniper position, keeping him clear due to limited exposure and distance over the shorter range of the carbines being employed. The foreward fixed guns of the Woor'tra suddenly opening up on the building as well, slagging stone and opening holes in the walls while Stormtroopers begin sprinting for cover.

<<"Ready for exfil on your mark. Hatch is covered.">> Hadrix rumbles over comms yet. <<"Gripper is firing up the med-bay, Rathe - ready for incoming.">>

And just like that the rocketpack problem becomes a non-issue, at least for now. After a whooshing haul up the turbolift shaft, the obsidian Mandalorian is deposited on the ground and immediately takes fire from the Imps in the hallway. <"Hey now! I didn't even get a chance to say, 'Hello'!"> Avery lowers to a knee, his Tracker coming up to take aim at the two that shot near him. The trigger is depressed twice and two bodies are sent flying backward with smoking holes in their chests. <"That's how Mandalorians say, 'Hi!'> He stands, smirking at his fellow clan in the hallway, <"Well, I mean... that's not //really// how we say 'Hello', otherwise there would be far less people in the galaxy. But, you get my meaning..."> He shakes his head lightly and follows along after Sumi, checking the rooms nearby to assure their safety.

While standing over Rathe and Roth, Aejin's visor continues to sweep the building where he'd seen the stormtroopers peeking. Another peek results in the Enforcer's barrel aiming up and toward the window when Rathe's call for his hand is heard. Aejin shifts about, foots scraping on the duracrete and scattering some of the snow and mud about as he twists and drops to a knee. He plants a hand firmly over the indicated wound, his glove immediately becoming warmed by the blood, then cooling quickly in the cold environment. <<"Understood, keep your head down, we've still got peekers">>. Aejin advises the continued presence of the stormtroopers.

Again Aejin's Enforcer rises up and a series of shots are taken at the window and the stormtrooper's helmets dipping aside to peer from the window. The wall takes the brunt of the fire with slugs lodging themselves in it as the roar of the slugthrower begins to die down.

As Roth is tethered and drawn up into the ship, with Rathe soon to follow, Aejin rises up from his knee and answers back at Rathe, <<"Be there in a moment. Providing covering fire>>", as the Enforcer rises up again and a few more shots are taken at the window in a bit to keep the stormtroopers - and their blasters - at bay.

No longer facing the room with its Imperial's alone, Karys grunts, the sudden burning just at her lower right rib proves that she is not so quick or perhaps the IMperial is just that good. Smoke rises briefly from the wound as she grimaces inside her helmet and then angles her pistol. The shot finds its mark the first time around as the stun bolt hits Sekk once more. Avery's shots, Sumi's baton hits take down what is left in their immediate vicinity but there is the calls of for medivac and Roth being injured. <"We have our target down. Bringing him topside if the Woor'Ta is able to get us out of here."> She glances to Sumi, giving her a nod as she steps forward, shoving the pistol back in its holster and clipping it into place.

She will aid the removal of Sekk from the building and up to the roof for easier departure via the ship.

Blaster fire in close quarters is a helluva thing: for one, it's loud as rekk, and for Sumi whose ears already ring from tinnitus, she's left with an absence of hearing. Secondly, the wild flash of laser lances is mesmerizing, and in the chaos and fog of war, that could prove fatal. This is not Sumi's first battle, and even with blaster bolts trading back and forth, the soldier walks forward with confidence.

Two soldiers meet their end by Avery, and they fall as Sumi passes them. The acquisition goes down after that, surgical shots from Karys, which left the poor trooper who crossed Sumi. He took a stance to fire and she struck his right side with an explosive connection of arching electrical energy that concussed him to his left, cratering into the wall that caved to the shape of his body. He promptly fell from it, clattering onto the floor face down. Sumi's brutality followed, raising her mace like a lumberjack would their ax, and dropped it on the back of his helmeted head full force. What followed was not pretty, and it made an even uglier sound. She continued with a third swing, but it struck the floor instead of organic matter, meaning what ever had resided there before her previous swing was gone now.

Sumi straightened, deactivating the brutal tool and hooking it back to her belt. <<"Acquisition acquired. All Mando'ade, break contact and make for your exits. Commander Kora, ensure your ramp is lowered and ready to receive us.">> Sumi made a soft snorting noise, a sinus problem, as she passed Avery and Karys, adjusting her cape to the side again to cup a palm over the pistol-grip of her E-11 to bring it to bear. <"Good work, you two."> Sumi intones to Avery and Karys whilst looking for their way to the roof.

It wasn't sensing or anything mystic, it was simply good timing. As Narsai finally cut down the stubborn command trooper who'd stood his ground (somewhat) against the lightsaber coming his way, the HUD read the others regrouping and the ship wheeled overhead. Time to get out of here, before more heat than she could handle arrived.

Deactivating the beskar hilt with a flick, the weapon was sheathed and Narsai took to the air with a roar of her jetpack, touching down on the ramp of the still-flying ship as it began to wheel away and exhaling a breath.

She could see they'd been successful, their 'guest' could be secured, but her attention moves first to glance in on the injured. The 'Doc' was at it, they'd be fine.

<<"You and your Clan have my thanks Sumi,">> she nods as she moves past the other Alor. "I'm going to make sure our pickup is nice and comfortable."

Zelo is continuing to make work of the decoy troopers, holding them down whenever they try to fire at the Mandalorians performing emergency stabilization in the open. The covering fire from Aejin makes one of the troopers pull back, standing up perfectly into the Nautolan's next shot, leaving some sort of mist in the air but from what he can tell... There's just no body left for that one. Only one more, and if he takes a shot at the trio on the ground, it will be nothing. There isn't any joy in the Nautolan's still face - he's just doing the job and getting their people home.

He spares some looks across the street to the building where he's expecting the hunting party to emerge prepared to lay down fire for them if someone follows any Mandalorian out of the roof hatch. <<"One straggler decoy, but I'm prepared to lay down covering fire until the hunting party is clear and my lift arrives.">> Whether the lift is a rocketpack or a rope ladder, the sniper is full of ammo and patience.

When the Woor'tra begins to open up on the building, sending stormtroopers running and new holes forming in its walls; that seems to be more than enough to set Aejin into motion. He reaches out for one of the lines that dropped to the position that Rathe, Roth, and himself had shared. The golden Mandalorian's fist encloses on the line and he begins to haul himself up, as the ship begins to move to a new position for additional retrievals. As the line begins to move on account of the wench hauling it up, Aejin focuses solely on gripping the line as opposed to attempting to climb and risking losing his grip. Once he's hauled up and into the belly of the beast, it still isn't time for Aejin to have a moment of respite. <<"Aejin's onboard">> advises so that he is accounted for, even as he climbs up to his full height after leveraging himself up and through the bay doors, the Rattataki begins to rush through the ship to the med-bay, clearly determined to retrieve those supplies that Rathe had called out moments ago.

There is something to be said for subtlety for the Al'Verde Kora's method. Plan Besh he is. The small two-man planet hopper shuttle that was Sekk Amroon's escape vessel violently smashed aside before the Woor'tra's shields drop - Roth kept steady by Greeza, the twi'lek, and Pheegus, the Ithorian. Both in simple beskar'gam and intent on allowing Rathe the freedom to attend to the white armored mando'ade covered in carbon scoring.

<<"Copy direct.">> Rathe responds to Hadrix' update on Gripper warming up the medbay, they will need it? and three miracles. Rathe struggles internally, all he sees is injuries that cannot sustain life in the world of triage. Rathe ignores that instinct born of First Order instruction. It is not wrong simply because it is First Order. Rathe spares a half moment to realize many clinics would throw in the towel.

Kiroroth Kora is family. She is Mandalorian and worth the effort unless it jeopardizes other lives to do so. Everyone is moving to Exfil, he can focus on her and try to prize her death back from the jaws of fate. Rathe just works as they move her, trusting everyone else to do their job. Avery wrecks two more, Aejin provides solid covering fire, Karys gets her man, Sumi focuses on getting them all out, Narsai uses the Glowstick of Fatality, Zelo provides overwatch, Roth? bleeds, but breathes.

<<"Copy, Alor. In position.">> it's very true - Hadrix has parked the open cargo bay doors against the roof and over the stairwell so that Karys, Avery and Sumi need only finish their upward climb within with their living cargo before the ship is maneuvered for Zelo to rocket up or catch drop lines to be hauled in. <<"Zelos. Good work. Get on board - no one is left behind.">>

With Aejin's renewed help, as well as Greeza, the twi'lek, and Pheegus, the Ithorian. Rathe can just focus on the job that needs doing. By now he's stripped his other gauntlet, dropping it to the floor of the medbay. Hopefully Roth is not the modest type, as her chest armor has been tossed unceremoniously aside and the underlayers simply slashed open by a sonic scalpel. Rathe just works, he's one of those jackass medics at most times. Overzealous in applications of annual physicals, sarcasm, and forcing each Kora to give up two bags of their own blood for long term storage for just this reason.

Roth gets an unintended oil change. Both her bags are used up, not so much from the wounds directly. Blaster bolts fortunately cauterize a lot. Unfortunately fixing the damage she had causes a lot of secondary bleeding to stave off.

Stormtroopers are still coming, in the streets below as the ship departs. Too late now with the blitz assault by the Mandalorians receding into the night. TIEs will be left behind - and the old Carrack class on the day-side of the planet may only get desperate parting shots before the smuggler-modified blockade runner has gotten behind one of Jelucan's moons to allow the others to get back to their ships.

Avery, Hadrix and Karys likely have never seen him make so much a mess in the field working. Nor be so hyper focused. It works. It takes time, and they are in hyper before it is done but it works. Once she's closed back up, and he's pumped her full of the maximum allowable antibiotics, and the minimum necessary painkillers. <"Thank you all. Now out of my medbay."> A beat. <"Good job.">

Rathe steps out of the medbay knowing everyone will be staring. He seals the doors behind him and rips off his helmet to idly drop to one side, exhausted. "She will live, she needs a tank." Heedless of the blood on his hands, Rathe does two things. Light a cheap cigarra? and pull a flask of Ne'tra Gal to drain as he just slides down a wall to rest on his ass.

The mandalorian crafts leave Jelucan with their prize and miraculously with all of their number present, if only barely.

Vengeance for the clans four decades after the assaults on Mandalore.
